Managed to finally get up and about yesterday.

New plan: If I have to sit down in a public area for any amount of time, K8-T3 will sit next to me in case one of the ship's cats pops by looking for a place to nap.

I'm hoping they will choose her lap over mine, as she tends to run warm since she's a droid. The cats might like that better.

She also has the added benefits of really enjoying the company of felines and not being allergic to them.

If a kitty sits on her lap, she gets to enjoy herself while I am able to go about my business. Win-win.
