Kiss Cam (Lee Jeno x Reader)
Pairing: Lee Jeno (NCT) x gn!Reader
Genre: F1!au, Motorsport!au
Summary: During a red flag period an impromptu kiss cam has you and your teammate be the center of attention.
Word Count: 676
A/N: I'm kinda alive lol.
This is based on two different things, for one a picture of a Tweet that Admin A send me in which Jeno apparently said he'd be an F1 driver if he wasn't an Idol. But mostly inspired by the GT Masters qualifying this morning in which the commentators randomly started a Kiss Cam during red flags.
Anyway, Enjoy :) -Admin J
It was busy in the Neo Culture Racing Team Garage, a red flag had brought the drivers back into the pit lane while repairs were made on the circuit barriers. Many people worked on the neon green cars to make sure they were set up perfectly for the race restart.
Both drivers were doing their own things around the garage. You were talking with your race engineer, while Jeno was sitting in a chair in the back of the garage, snacking on a protein bar while observing the work that was done on his car.
His eyes drifted away from the car towards the other side of the garage until they ended up on you. The way your head fell back as you laughed at something that your race engineer pointed out on the monitor in front of you. Intrigued by your reaction Jeno walked over, holding onto the race overall that was hanging on his hips, to see what had you laughing like that.
Noticing Jeno looming behind you you turned to greet him with a smile "They started a kiss cam." You pointed at the screen where the official broadcast was playing and sure enough they were showing a random couple in the stands blushing, embarrassed by the eyes of all the fans on them. They tried to avoid the kiss but finally gave each other a quick peck when the whole crowd started chanting "Kiss".
Jeno listened to your giggles as red hearts started showing up on the screen after the couples kiss, he couldn't help but smile as well. It was clear this whole Kiss Cam thing was an impromptu action by the film crew to entertain the fans during the red flag period. And Jeno had to give it to them the Kiss Cam was really entertaining.
He took the spot next to you after your race engineer walked away to observe the work on your car. That's when a loud roar from the crowd took his attention. He wasn't aware what they found so exciting, but then he felt you gripping his arm. You pointed at the screen and he realized that the camera had moved away from the stands and was now showing you two standing together in the garage.
He gave the camera a short wave assuming the camera crew would move to the next garage afterwards, however the camera kept pointing at the both of you. "I think they want us to do the Kiss Cam." You whispered and almost simultaneously the crowd started to chant "Kiss".
Jeno turned to face you "Would that be okay with you?" Your eyes widened in surprise but you eventually decided it was only a kiss for the camera, so why not? "Sure lets give the fans what they want." You laughed.
Without waiting another second Jeno's lips found their way to yours. A short and light kiss before both of you pulled away blushing, the roar of the crowd almost deafening after what they had just witnessed. Finally the camera crew left the garage, but Jeno also hurried away without saying another word to you, leaving you a little flustered. Before starting to prepare for the upcoming race restart.
From his side of the Garage Jeno glanced over to you. He was happy to put his balaclava and helmet back on to hide his burning red cheeks. He hadn't really thought about what kissing you could make him feel after all you had known each other for years. From championship rivals in Formula 3, to becoming friends during Formula 2 to finally teammates in Formula 1.
All this time he had never seen you in a romantic light so why now could he not get rid of the butterflies in his stomach? Why did it feel like the red hearts from the kiss cam had burned themselves into his vision whenever he looked your way? God, he couldn't even concentrate on the race as all he could think about was how he wanted to feel your lips on his again.

The last weekend of SRO Motorsports America racing in 2024 receives a huge boost in star power as world-renowned actor Keanu Reeves will compete in this weekend’s Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America finale – his first motor race in over 14 years.
Reeves will drive the #92 Eagles Canyon Racing by Fast Track Toyota GR86 in a pair of sprint races on Saturday and Sunday, 5/6 October. The car will feature a red and black livery promoting his graphic novel, BRZRKR.
The Canadian actor is an avid enthusiast of motorsport. Reeves was the presenter of the four-part documentary Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story and has been a guest of honour in the paddocks of F1, MotoGP, and IndyCar throughout the years.
Reeves drove in the 2009 and 2010 editions of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race at Long Beach, winning the Celebrity class in 2009 and receiving a promotion to the Pro category the following year. That was the last time Reeves has run in an organised motor race.
Since then, Reeves has gone on to star in the John Wick series of action films, reprised his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrections, and published the first chapter of BRZRKR in 2021 alongside co-writer Matt Kindt and illustrator Ron Garney.
Reeves is one of two celebrity drivers competing at Indianapolis this weekend, part of a 34-car field.
Eagles Canyon and Fast Track’s other celebrity driver is Cody Jones from the action sports and entertainment troupe Dude Perfect, which has over 60 million subscribers on YouTube.
Nicknamed “Tall Man”, the 6’6″ Jones’ sanctioned racing debut in the #29 GR86 was the prize for winning a go-kart racing challenge at this year’s Formula One Australian Grand Prix against three of his fellow troupe members.
Reeves and Jones will be pitted against a strong field of drivers young and old, including the newly-crowned GR Cup North America Champion Gresham Wagner.
Wagner, the driver of the #5 Copeland Motorsports GR86, clinched the series championship last round at Barber Motorsports Park. At the Brickyard, Wagner will look to add to his eight wins on the season – before heading to Road Atlanta to try and win the Mazda MX-5 Cup championship.
Second place in the championship is still up for grabs between Wagner’s team-mate, Westin Workman (another driver running dual GR Cup/MX-5 Cup campaigns) and Spike Kohlbecker of TechSport Racing. Workman enters the final weekend of the season six points ahead of Kohlbecker.
Jaxon Bell, the son of 2015 IMSA GTD Champion and 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Townsend Bell, is fourth in the championship.
Another guest driver of note is Miki Koyama from Japan, driving the #75 Hattori Motorsports GR86 in partnership with Japan’s all-female KYOJO Cup Series.
Koyama, the inaugural KYOJO Cup champion in 2017 and 2018, became the first woman to win the FIA Formula Regional Japanese Championship title in 2022 – and last week, driving a Lexus RC F GT3, she became the first woman to take overall victory in a Super Taikyu Series race since 1993.
Koyama is one of four women in the field, joining Mia Lovell, Jade Avedisian, and Maddie Aust. Lovell is the series’ top female driver (10th in overall points and the top-ranked woman in nine out of 12 races) – and Avedisian, a Toyota-backed prospect of the open-wheel oval circuit, finished second in last weekend’s BC39 sprint car race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway dirt track.

Formula E: Cassidy secures victory in second Berlin round
Formula E: Cassidy secures victory in second Berlin round By Balazs Szabo on 23 Apr 2023, 15:00 Nick Cassidy took his first win in the current Formula E season in this weekend’s second Berlin E-Prix, beating Jake Dennis by only four tenths of a second. F1Technical’s Balázs Szabó reports on the Sunday Berlin race of the 2022/2023 FIA Formula E World Championship from the Tempelhof paddock. Following the sunny weather yesterday, cold and rainy conditions welcomed the 22-driver field on the second day of running at the temporary Tempelhof venue in Berlin. As a result of the wet conditions, the pecking order from Day 1 has been completely changed for today with yesterday’s two fastest teams – Jaguar and Maserati – losing their competitiveness. Instead, it was the ABT Formula E team which took a shock front-row lockout with Robin Frijns taking pole from team-mate Nico Mueller. The start of the second Berlin E-Prix was not straightforward though as protesters gained access to the track by climbing up the catching fences just before the start. As the protesters sat down on the circuit, the start procedure was aborted and Race Director Scot Elkins briefly sent out marshals to the track to examine the track surface. When the race could be started, pole-sitter Frijns could hang on to his starting position to lead his team mate Nico Mueller into the first corner. Envision Virgin racer Sebastien Buemi occupied P3 with Jean-Eric Vergne, Mitch Evans and Pascal Wehrlein following the Swiss driver. Just like yesterday, drivers started to use their attack mode quite early on in the race as it proved beneficial yesterday on the temporary Tempelhof circuit where energy management is usually not easy to master. In the first phase of the race, drivers constantly changed the top positions as no one wanted to lead and lose the benefit of a tow which has proved very powerful and beneficial in terms of energy management so far this season. The two Porsche drivers Antonio Felix da Costa and Pascal Wehrlein managed to climb up the order and seemed to have the upper hand over the rivals. However, as soon as they hit the front, their competitors were able to react with Vergne taking over the lead on Lap 20. After starting from eighth on the grid, Cassidy slowly moved up the order and hit the front of the field at Turn 6 with 16 laps to go. Following his costly mistake yesterday, Dennis shadowed Cassidy for the last part of the race with one per cent more energy than the Kiwi. With only three laps left on the board, fourth-places Evans made a mistake which allowed Cassidy, Dennis and Vergne to escape into the distance. However, the Evans-led group closed in on the leading trio once again. Despite his power advantage, Dennis never looked likely to make a move, and Cassidy was able to secure his first Formula E race win of the season in Berlin. Dennis and Vergne completed the podium with yesterday’s race winner Mitch Evans following in P4. Despite their promising mid-race pace, Porsche driver Felix da Costa only managed a fifth place in front of local hero Maximilian Guenther, who showed a remarkable performance to bounce back from his low-key qualifying result. Championship leader Wehrlein appeared to be in contention for the win at the mid-point of the E-Prix, but dropped back to seventh with reigning champion Stoffel Vandoorne securing P8. Abt Cupra racer Nico Mueller was not able to convert his second starting position to a podium place, and had to settle for P9 with Neo 333 driver Dan Ticktum completing the top ten. The difficult double-header for Wehrlein left him on top of the pile but by a narrow four-point margin to Cassidy, with Vergne third. Following their troublesome Saturday round, TAG Heuer Porsche's advantage in the Teams' table also continued to evaporate on Sunday, with the Jaguar-powered Envision Racing squad now just 15 points back in second. via F1Technical.net . If the cast of GX was suddenly and magically transported to Neo Domino City, Jaden would immediately be arrested for trying to do something he didn’t know was illegal. Cyrus would have a mental breakdown. Tyranno would get so confused, like a lost puppy dog in the big city. Alexis would probably be fine but she’d be busy trying to keep Atticus from diving headfirst into the first dangerous motorsports/performing arts gig he sees and is completely unqualified for. Chazz would be like “fuck this” and be on the next flight to Russia.
Zane, though? Zane Truesdale would fit right in and have the time of his life.

First Look: The Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar
Peugeot has revealed details of the new 9X8, its latest-generation Hypercar which is set to make its competitive debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2022. Powered by hybrid technology and featuring all-wheel drive, the new 9X8 Hypercar showcases Peugeot’s Neo-Performance strategy which combines technology and sportiness in both Peugeot’s road and race cars. The Hypercar is a product of the latest work between Peugeot Sport and Peugeot Design, heralding a new era in racing & race car design.
The Peugeot 9X8 – the brand’s latest endurance racing contender – is a direct successor to the Peugeot 905, winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1992 and 1993, and the Peugeot 908, which won the iconic race in 2009. The new prototype race car is poised to continue Peugeot’s successful history in top-level motorsport.
The 9X8 Hypercar is a brand-driven project highlighting Peugeot’s ‘Neo-Performance’ vision which is built around combining a premium sporting pedigree with styling excellence, efficiency and technological expertise that can be carried over to Peugeot’s road cars.
Peugeot’s Design and engineering teams have worked in collaboration with its racing division, Peugeot Sport, to explore new aerodynamic solutions and styling ideas to create a completely original race car. The Peugeot 9X8’s design and aerodynamics have been developed under the responsibility of Peugeot Sport Technical Director Olivier Jansonnie and the design team led by Peugeot Design Director Matthias Hossann. Greater flexibility, allowed by the sport’s new technical rules regarding aerodynamics, permits new thinking that favors the emergence of innovative cars, allowing for new creative processes and a break away from established procedures to produce a Hypercar for a completely new era.
The name of Peugeot’s new Hypercar competitor, the Peugeot 9X8, is inspired by a combination of the brand’s motorsport heritage and vision for the future. The “9” continues the series employed by Peugeot on its previous race cars, the Peugeot 905 (which raced from 1990 until 1993) and the 908 (2007 until 2011), both of which have become icons.
The “X” refers to the Peugeot Hypercar’s all-wheel drive technology and hybrid powertrain, which embodies the brand’s electrification strategy in the world of motor racing. Peugeot will provide a fully electrified variant across its passenger car and van range by 2025.
The “8” is common across all of Peugeot’s current model names, from the 208 and 2008 to the 308, 3008, 5008 and, of course, the 508. The latter has been worked on by the same engineers and designers working on the current Hypercar project, to create Peugeot’s first ever Peugeot Sport Engineered model.
Two Peugeot 9X8s will contest the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship
The 9X8’s front and rear lighting signatures, which take the form of three claw-like strokes, are familiar Peugeot trademarks, while the brand’s new lion’s head logo features at the front and on the sides of the car. The Selenium Grey and contrasting Kryptonite acid green/yellow highlights, featured on both the body and inside the cockpit, echo the color scheme chosen for the new Peugeot Sport Engineered line, introduced first on the 508 and 508 SW.
The sculpted wheels contribute to the balanced lines of the car’s uncluttered, sharply-structured flanks, while the wing vents reveal the top of the tires and the perfectly-integrated mirrors contribute to the car’s aerodynamics.
The finely-chiseled details of the Peugeot 9X8’s rear-end design includes the quip “We didn’t want a rear wing” above a wide diffuser. Rear wings were first seen at the Le Mans 24 Hours on the Chaparral 2F which contested the race in 1967, meaning this is the first time their use has been questioned in more than half-a-century. The 9X8’s innovative rear stems from research carried out by Peugeot Sport’s engineering team as they worked to ensure the model was as aerodynamic as possible, whilst maintaining an eye-catching style.
Hyper-efficient hybrid powertrain
Since the announcement in September 2020 of Peugeot’s entry into the new Le Mans Hypercar class, the factory in Versailles, near Paris, has been working tirelessly on the 9X8.
As planned, the car’s rear-mounted, 2.6-litre, bi-turbo, 500kW (680hp), 90-degree V6 – the internal-combustion engine part of the Peugeot Hybrid4 500kW powertrain – has been clocking up miles since April.
Meanwhile, the front-mounted 200kW motor-generator unit, seven-speed sequential gearbox and battery are in the process of being assembled, keeping with the bench-testing validation schedule. The powerful, technologically-sophisticated, high-voltage (900 volts), high-density battery is being co-developed by Peugeot Sport and Saft, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies.

IndyCar team changes cars number to avoid reprehensible associations | IndyCar
IndyCar team Foyt has changed the number that one of its cars will use this year due to “ideologic and symbolic references”. The team announced last week its driver Benjamin Pedersen had chosen to use the number 88 for his rookie campaign in the series this year. However Foyt advised media today it will replace the number due to the connotations around it. “After the reveal of the no. 88 livery last week, it was brought to our attention that the combination of our two individually entered numbers carries certain ideologic and symbolic references,” said the team in a statement. “AJ Foyt Racing does not condone nor support any such ideologies or symbols and to avoid any reprehensible associations we have changed the entry number from 88 to 55.” While the team has not specified the nature of its concerns, they are likely to relate to the number’s associations within American neo-Nazi movements, particularly when combined with the number 14. The team has long used that number, which its founder AJ Foyt had on his car when he scored the last two of his four Indianapolis 500 wins, in 1967 and 1977. The Foyt team originally made light of Pedersen’s choice of number, announcing: “AJ Foyt will be reminded of just how old he is every time Benjamin Pedersen takes to the track this year as the racing legend turned 88 which is the number the Danish-American driver chose to run in his rookie campaign.” Foyt confirmed Pedersen will now use number 55 instead. His team mate Santino Ferrucci was previously entered in their number 14 car.
