As for drawing heads, there are so many variations but here's a quick tutorial:

1) I'm not using much guidelines anymore XD But back then I always start with a circle

2) Next is adding some lines that determines the position if the chin, the jaw and the placement of the ears and eyes.

3) The tips of the ears are aligned with the same base line as the eyelashes. Do the finishing touches and Voila, you got a human head~

The same can apply to other head shapes. Keep practicing and you'll eventually get there! ❤
