WELL. Firstly this will probably be romantic in nature bcuz I am simply a girlie who loves bi4bi jeanee and I know u dont ship them but YKNOW!!!

Hmm. This is not something I've ever thought about, honestly. There's just soooo many things to consider. Would he go to school, make friends there? What would his life look like? His trauma from the raven's has probably fundamentally shaped a large portion of his personality because of how severe and constant it was. It's so genuinely hard for me to consider what he would be like as a person if he was never sold to the Moriyama's.

But I can just ALWAYS see him being a gentle person, and I can see him working well with Renee no matter the circumstances. If she had met him when things weren't how they were in canon, if he didn't have so so much to work through, I can imagine them having a very simple and easy romantic relationship. I can see them having such a peaceful, beautiful life together. But it's also like, I do believe he latched onto Renee and fell for her partly because she was one of the first people to show him care and kindness.... she literally saved his LIFE and that shapes a lot of their relationship, shapes how important she is to Jean. And I think Renee understands people like Jean and Andrew specifically because of what all of them have gone through. She understands misunderstood people who struggle with trauma and mental health problems.

Regardless, I would give anything for Elodie to be alive and to see Jean grow up with her. I imagine Renee would get along so well with Elodie too :,) and she would totally admire how gentle and loving Jean is towards his sister. And Elodie would ADORE Renee for sure. Imagine Jean and Renee just being "best friends" at the start, but Elodie pestering Jean to make a move on Renee bcuz she loves Renee so much and wants Renee to be part of their family.

fear is head over heels for anxiety (that was made very clear in the movie💀), anger likes joy, anxiety LIKES joy (all romantically obviously), and joy sees everyone as her (best) friend. fear knows about how much anxiety likes joy and he always tries to prove to her that he's better than joy. his way of doing this is always helping and being extra cool / nice when in her presence and *always* bringing her up, as well as his body language around her.. anxiety has taken quite a notice to it. she can read every possible meaning of peoples body language too so that must be fun.

(btw anger hasn't told anyone his honest thoughts about joy and joy hasn't told anyone she doesn't care for romance)

anxiety noticed that anger started taking quite an interest in joy (the only evidence she has that anger likes joy is the looks he gives her a bit more than normal) and due to her assumptions feels like she has to compete with anger; always trying to impress joy and overworking herself to try and make joy like her. and she feels it works (for a bit) because joy gives her praise and attention, but that's how she acts when anyone does anything that impresses her in the slightest. after realizing that, anxiety figures she's not special and doesn't mean shit to joy so she doesnt try as hard as she used to. but she is jealous of joy and anger whenever she sees the pair conversate. anyways, now that joys off the table, she realizes she still honestly wants to feel like she's special to someone. then she starts thinking about fear. she has her doubts but eventually decides she should listen to and give fear a chance. little did anxiety know all this time that joy isn't interested in romantic relationships and sees everyone as a friend (as previously stated), while anger labels his feelings towards joy as small, stupid, and unimportant. to be with joy or to not be with joy; it doesn't matter much to him..................atleast that's what he's convinced himself

favorite thing about them: LITERALLY WHERE DO I EVEN START. She's one of my top ten protagonists of all times. I love the lessons she learns, the way she learns them, I love watching her grow and struggle and thrive. I love her so so so much. To keep things simple(ish) I will say that my favorite thing about Luz (which I've mentioned once or twonce before) is that she's an objectively cringey, very ND coded kid who's still given the utmost love and respect from the narrative. She gets to be objectively fucking uncool and this story still loves her. And it's nice it makes me feel loved by proxy

least favorite thing about them: I mean, I'd say in season 1 it's the tendency to flatten the boiling isles and it's people into 2 dimensional tropes for easily comprehension, but that's also one of my favorite flaws of Luz and the narrative always makes an interesting point out of this attitude. Maybe it's the suicidal ideation bc it really scared me the first time I watched thanks to them. I knew nothing bad was gonna happen (within reason), this is Disney, but I was like DAMN THEY'RE GOING THERE!!!

favorite line: okay I actually cannot in good conscious choose one bc my friend once informed me that me and Luz just. Talk the same. Same silly idioms and phrases same whimsical expressions and syntax same humour, etc etc. It's a chicken egg situation and do not know who started it but I know that it's frighteningly accurate. unpopular opinion: I also think Luz gets characterized as more bitter/vengeful/surly than she really is, especially in fics set around season 3. She wants to be happy, to have fun with her friends, she just feels like doesn't deserve it. Also I low-key think Luz is like. A genius. Just in an unconventional way. She rediscovered a lost form of magic and then taught herself it all on her own. She probably struggles with long division but I mean it when I say she is literally a genius imo

the first time he met you was probably when you're out chasing bailu when she escaped from the alchemy commission, passing by the seat of divine foresight with your tail dragged down the road, bouncing around with each step you took, and the sight instantly made jing yuan's heart jump in adoration, finding it so cute how your nose scrunched in annoyance when you, once again, lost track of the young girl, your tail swishing in anger as you prepare to march back home to report bailu's disappearance to the other vidyadharas.

ever since that day, he has been trying multiple escape attempts, and finally succeeded when yanqing is away to patrol the city. well, the little guy wouldn't have guessed that his general has started pining after centuries of solitude.

that is when the lieutenant calls for help from the master diviner, and yanqing lets out the loudest sigh ever when he spots the dozing general trying to pester you into taking a break with that default (*´ω`*) face he wears all the time, while you just continue with dealing with of some paperwork that bailu couldn't handle. really, if jing yuan isn't the great general and strategist who led a war for centuries and came out victorious, you would've slapped him with your scaly tail and flung him back to the divine foresight—but no, you can't do that.

"please," he begs, shifting his position closer towards you. he doesn't touch you though, seeing as you did not explicitly give him permission, "won't you take a break with me? i'm sure qingzu would not mind taking over my work for a while..." his low, velvety voice only serves to weaken the desire to punch him, as you start to take pity on the overworked man.

oh but unfortunately for him and not-so-fortunately for you, yanqing has begun to sprint towards jing yuan, with the latter immediately sensing the presence of his son subordinate and moving quickly to stand behind your chair. obviously it doesn't help him, his body is clearly larger than yours and yanqing immediately does his job to drag the now pouty grown-up home.

while he cannot go out anymore, jing yuan can still send you occasional letters and invitations for a tea. and when you refused due to your workload, he begins calling the invitations as 'official meetings' and smiles innocently when you came in to see him napping on his desk. he's really testing your patience, but you also cannot deny that he looks kind of cute like that...

"since you're already here, why don't you sit down and have some tea?"

you complied, and suddenly it's been over an hour since you start venting about your work to him—he makes you do this btw, for he loves hearing your melodious voice speaking about literally everything. it feels like you're lulling him to sleep and he fantasize about just how good it would feel to have you read him bedtime stories, plus having your clawed hands brushing strands of those fluffy hair out of his face, and laying his head on your lap... (๑>◡<๑) life could be dream fr) his daydreaming is forced into a halt when he realizes that he may have poured too much tea that it soaked his papers.

this visit continues for weeks, and jing yuan realized that you're starting to slack off—which is good news, because you were always working overtime and never got the chance to relax this much before, and as the leader of this fleet, he has to make sure all his people are happy and getting enough rest, right?

your breath hitched as you glance back, catching your tail and hugging it close to your chest to save yourself from humiliation. what a nuisance, you think, but to the general sitting across from you, it was the most adorable thing he's ever seen aside from mimi's tender paws.

"i apologize for being sudden..." jing yuan tries to break the ice, his hand slowly moving closer to yours, "you don't have to accept my love," despite his words, he really, really hopes that you'd want to return the feelings. he'll be in shambles if you were to reject him.

Morticia Addams headcanons

Because there was nothing in the tag other than x reader, nsfw or crossover, and I like giving characters complicated backstories. Also it’s spooky month so I have to make content <3

This will be mostly pertaining to the ‘60s show, with some other stuff from… pretty much everything! I have a soft spot for the musical in particular so if you don’t recognize any character names they’re probably from that

So first off, Morticia and Ophelia used to be very, very close when they were little

Like shared-everything-and-wanted-to-be-just-like-each-other close

Ophelia is three years older, but Morticia was a lot more “mature” so she kind of ended up slotting into the role of the older daughter.

(Btw when I say “mature” I mean “they’re both nd but Tish is a lot better at masking so people kind of thought of Ophelia as childish”)

(And when I say “the role of the older daughter” you know exactly what I mean)

Up until she was a teenager, Morticia was just like her older sister: loving, dutiful and sweet. The only differences seemed to be their hair color and Morticia’s relative shyness.

But the sisters didn’t stay close forever

Mainly because their family was very old-fashioned and very magic.

(Time for worldbuilding)

Everyone in their mother’s family has some kind of powers over nature (see: Fester’s lightning powers)

Granny Frump had powers over plants, so both the sisters were expected to end up with plant magic as well.

Ophelia’s powers started developing at a very young age, and once they did, (pun fully intended), she blossomed. Flowers, herbs and fruit trees alike flourished after minimal coaxing from her, and the stubbornest of sidewalk weeds seemed to adore her. Daisies even began to grow out of Ophelia’s hair!

Morticia, on the other hand, was… not that

The only plants she could seem to work magic on were poisonous, carnivorous, allelopathic or otherwise hazardous to health

The only exceptions were roses (probably because of their thorns)

And this is where Morticia ran into some problems with the women in her family.

The most immediate issue came in the form of her mother, who seemed deeply ashamed of her younger daughter’s “morbid” magic

Granny Frump doubted that Morticia would ever make a good match (need I remind you this was the early fifties) and pretty much decided she was “cursed” and would never be much more than a burden

She thought she might find comfort in her sister, but Ophelia only thought of her as a tragedy

Unsurprisingly, this was around the time Morticia started to distance herself from the rest of her family

Namely by leaning into the whole “cursed” thing and cultivating her own little garden of poisonous plants, as well as a more dark and depressing vibe overall

She ended up realizing there was no reason to be what everyone else wanted her to be- a flower doesn’t just die because it’s not the same color as the rest of the garden, does it?

This, incidentally, is how Morticia ended up being the happiest she’d ever been.

Enter Gomez, who saw this beautiful girl being so unapologetically herself that he just. Couldn’t handle it

And the rest is history :)

Okay now that’s out of the way it’s time for some general (read: miscellaneous and often quite stupid) headcanons

She and Ophelia do become close again as they become adults! It just takes a little while, but there’s not too much that can keep the two of them apart

She still gives Gomez the creeps though

Morticia’s hair isn’t naturally that straight and shiny- she actually puts oil in it to smooth it out! When she wakes up in the morning it’s very frizzy. (Headcanon courtesy of my mom)

Headcanon also courtesy of the person who said Morticia dyes her hair: I respect your headcanon but you are Extremely wrong about this

Tish takes a lot of pride in her appearance, specifically in the way she dresses and in her general bearing. It’s really less about how she looks and more about the way she presents herself

Whenever she stresses about her appearance, Gomez tells her the exact same thing: “I would love you even if you looked like a rotting corpse.”

She’ll just roll her eyes and say something along the lines of “just wait, darling, it won’t be long now.”

Gomez is the only person that Morticia lets into her conservatory without knocking

The kids get passes when they’re really little. Grandmama does not and needs to stop sneaking around trying to steal her hemlock

Pugsley also eventually gets a free pass because she knows he’s responsible. Wednesday does not

Mainly because she broke Aunt Phobia’s nicest vase

Most of the Addams relatives with weirder names come from Gomez’s side of the family, but Morticia has plenty of cousins on her side and they’re all perfectly strange, thank you very much!

But her stories are always a little bit depressing, even if she doesn’t mean for them to be

You know how someone will tell a story about something awful that happened to them in their childhood like it’s hilarious because nobody ever told them that wasn’t normal? That’s Morticia

Gomez, who grew up with a very loving family, is always horrified by these

“Your mother did WHAT” “…Did your mother not do that” “NO”

They don’t talk to Granny Frump a lot

Not because Morticia doesn’t want to reconnect (she’d actually be quite happy to do so if her mother was willing) but because Gomez is always on the offense when she visits

“Darling, you really don’t need to do that” “Do what” “Gomez put the sabre down”

Gomez tries to teach Morticia about a lot of his passions/just stuff he knows, with varying levels of success

She does quite well learning how to fence, and makes for a very fun sparring partner!

She didn’t pick up Spanish as easily, even though she tried

All she really knows is their pet names for each other

He thinks she’s fantastic

In turn, Morticia tried to teach Gomez how to knit. To put it mildly, that ended up being a disaster and a half.

She had a lot more success teaching him about the plants in her conservatory

In part because she has a lot of little songs and mnemonics to keep track of them

She had to make up most of them because they don’t really make those songs about poisonous/carnivorous plants

This is semi-canon but Morticia has a really nice singing voice!

She’s always humming something, to the point where she doesn’t really know she’s doing it most of the time (read: stim)

What do you think of Lauren and how she interacts with the ND girls in season 2 in particular?

Oh, interesting!

First off, I really dig Lauren. It's a shame her character was basically abandoned but I think she was a refreshing addition to the New Directions. Her confidence is quite unparalleled and I wish she got to interact more with members other than Puck. I dislike how much of her story, especially at first, boils down to fatphobic jokes because there was really something there with how unabashed she is and the way Glee played it, it was half-earnest but also half-satirical. Like yeah, haha, the fat girl is so full of herself even though she's, you know, fat, qué funny. But in a world where everyone takes themselves and show choir so seriously she's such a breath of fresh air. Show choir is kinda lame and ND are very dramatic for such low stakes but she stays for the shits and giggles and for Puck. Ashley Fink is also just such a delight and frankly she deserved better from Glee.

As for her and the ND girls, I just realize now that she missed out on all the girls vs. boys stuff which is a shame because I would have loved to see her bond with them as a group. I feel like was largely disconnected from the group as a whole which is why it was so easy to write her out. She really does mostly just hang with Puck save for one or two substantial interactions with others. That said, let's recap what she did have and what I wish she had with the rest of the girls:

Quinn

She's the first one that comes to mind because of the Born This Way plot they have together. I see the clash of worlds between them, Quinn's Little Miss Perfect persona going up against Lauren's non-traditional but actually way more stable sense of identity. And then we get the Lucy Caboosy story where Quinn admits to having been a lot more like Lauren in the past. Btw I hate how Lauren is pretty much seen as unattractive in the camera's eyes for being fat, and that implication transfers to Lucy - like okay, even Dianna Agron isn't immune to fatphobia? Damn okay so you're gonna do the most beautiful woman on earth like that huh because you're so repulsed. Anyway.

I think despite this, and despite how cruel it is of Laurel to put those posters up there's a mutual respect between them. From Lauren's perspective, she's successfully proven that Quinn's Prom Queen candidate persona is a lie, and really all of season 2 is one big lie for her. But after she gets over the initial schadenfreude, Lauren feels kinda bad for her. Okay so scratch mutual respect, I've changed my mind it's mostly just Lauren seeing through Quinn and realizing that she's a car about to crash. And both she and Quinn realize that though Quinn might be the much more traditional Prom Queen candidate and she even gets sympathy for her Lucy past, out of the two of them Quinn is a much more insecure and fundamentally sad person.

There's a sense of resentment, imo, when Lauren initially targets Quinn and goes so far as to dig up her past because really, it's human nature to be just a little bitter over people like Quinn. But yeah, we all know Quinn's a hot mess under all that whereas Lauren genuinely does have confidence and a stable sense of identity that doesn't rely on arbitrary notions of popularity or how pretty people think she is. And they both recognize the power in that. I actually would have loved to see them butt heads or go up against each other in a different situation. They'd be a great pair to explore the idea that the more you deviate from the norm the less pressure you feel to be the norm.

Santana

The second one I think of can't not be the iconic hallway fight, Santana's second in the second season. Girl tried to bite Lauren's leg lmao. So unlike with Quinn, where I think Lauren does reach an understanding with her, she and Santana never do. I both mean that we literally do not see them interact after this fight and that I don't headcanon them ever having a one-on-one or direct conversation. You know, as someone who loves Santana above all when it comes to Glee I'm weirdly okay with the idea of Lauren either actively disliking or at least not caring about her lol.

Let's be real, Santana is very very rude to her and then she starts a fight with Lauren, a canon member of the wrestling team. And Santana's all bark no bite so is it any wonder Lauren absolutely demolishes her? Sure Santana has her own internal logic in that episode and it's a very, very juicy ep for her and her comphet but Lauren doesn't care about that. From Lauren's perspective, she's this skinny bitch with an attitude who just insulted her and is trying to get with the guy Lauren maybe-kinda likes.

After the fight, they just leave it at that. It's the final chapter for Pucktana so that's not an issue and even Santana isn't bold enough to cross Lauren again. Now it is interesting to think about them in late season 2 and how much of Santana's struggles Lauren might or might not have noticed. If she did, I think she'd reach much the same conclusion she did with Quinn. Is Lauren the only person I don't headcanon Santana having a friendship with? Hmm might be. Not everyone has to get along. But I think they'd be a much more interesting duo if they were to ever reunite in later seasons when Santana's softened a lot and wouldn't pick a fight anymore. But in season 2? They're the least likely to form any kind of bond.

(Thinking about the two of them always reminds me of that really good Brittana fics I didn't bookmark; it's about the Brittana relationship from others' eyes and when they found out, and Lauren has a chapter. I should try to find that because that's the Lauren-Santana dynamic I always have in mind.)

Mercedes

Next up I think of Mercedes and the Night of Neglect storyline. Yes it's played for laughs from Lauren's pov but I kinda love how she doesn't generally care too much about glee but recognizes Mercedes' talent for what it is and demands Mercedes knows her worth. That's some real women gotta stick together stuff. I like the idea of Lauren finding all this kinda lame but not being able to just leave Mercedes be underappreciated. Me too, girl.

Not much comes of it and like I said it is played for comedy, like ah Lauren is encouraging her to make ridiculous demands, but the core message of her passing on this skill of valuing yourself is nice. Lauren probably likes Mercedes the most out of the ND girls just because she's no-nonsense, isn't annoying, is very talented but doesn't act like the whole world revolves around her and isn't a bitch to her lol. Mercedes just has this air, doesn't she, she's just generally one of the most likable members. They wouldn't keep in touch or anything but I think Lauren would respect her the most.

Rachel

Despite the reasons I listed as to why Lauren likes Mercedes, I don't think she has much of an issue with Rachel. Yes, Rachel's over the top and pretty much everything I see Lauren disliking about this world of show choir but she's also entertaining so that makes up for it. Do they interact in season 2? Only season 1 comes to mind where Lauren was a very minor character as an AV club member and someone used by Sue to scare Rachel. So a lot of this is headcanons - in fact, everything is form here on out.

So like I said, I think Lauren is generally amused by Rachel. On the occasions where Rachel takes it way too seriously and demands Lauren does this or that she sort of just glares at Rachel until she backs off. But they're generally cool and Rachel, like Mercedes, has never been rude to her.

Tina

The only ~interaction~ I can think of for Tina (and Brittany) is providing backup during I Know What Boys Like, which, isn't a lot. But that said I do think Lauren would dig Tina. Maybe she'd have a low tolerance for Tina's more emotional outbursts, just as she does for Rachel's dramatics but for some reason I think Lauren would feel an inclination to try and get Tina to be more confident and be less afraid to take up space. Just as Lauren spots Mercedes' talent, she recognizes Tina's and laments why she's never featured.

If the timeline aligned, I think it would have been cool for Lauren to be the one to encourage Tina's shift from season 3 to season 4. It would make sense that Tina would go overboard with confidence and her need to be featured if egged on by Lauren "my client is a diva" Zizes. And I think it could be a cute friendship where Lauren sort of thinks of Tina as an adopted puppy lol.

Brittany

So unlike with Quinntana I think Lauren's relationship with Britt could evolve into a friendship of sorts. At first, Lauren would dismiss her as another vapid cheerleader but then she realizes how weird Brittany is and how funny that is. She wouldn't always get her but I think Britt's brand of honesty is something Lauren would appreciate and they just have that vibe that they would gel well. Santana doesn't approve but she isn't about to get her ass kicked again when it's just Brittany sharing her wildest conspiracy theories and Pizes nodding along.

Like with most others, Britt also has quirks that would be too much and annoy Lauren but she'd dismiss them easily. I'm torn on whether she'd truly appreciate Britt's genius or just be amused by it. Bit of both, I think Lauren is more open to hearing Britt out but would rarely earnestly think she's onto something.

Scenario:- S/o has katsaridaphobia

So fair warning I have never written for Inasa before, so please don't mind if he is OOC, I hope you like it!! Oh and I have used ‘you’ instead of s/o

Inasa Yaorashi

I firmly believe that Yaorashi is also afraid of Cockroaches, you can't tell me otherwise

You and him will be screaming on top of your voices, standing on high platforms in order to avoid that insect, but surprise surprise, it flies.

You both would scream and run to hide somewhere else,

Although, Inasa would do ANYTHING for you, even if it meant facing that devil's spawn

He will heroically stand in front of you while you hide behind him,

He believes that you deserve the best and the least he could do to appreciate you was get rid of all the roaches even if it meant facing his own fear.

He would always make sure that there are no cockroaches around you and god help that one cockroach that decided to visit.

He would definitely use his quirk on it, to get rid of it without harming it and getting scared himself.

He will maintain a safe distance from it as he fights it.

"Go away, you filthy creature! Get away from my beloved!" He would yell at it, throwing things on it with his wind quirk.

I think he will definitely scream like a baby when the cockroach gets close, yelling apologies at it like, "I'm sorry! Please forgive me! Leave me alone!"

Unfortunately, he would be the one ending up crying and trying to hide from the cockroach.

You then decide to take the matter into your hands because poor Inasa was just as scared as you but still decided to get rid of it for your sake.

You disgustingly grab a box and throw it on the cockroach from a distance and trap it, and then slide thin sheet under it and lift it up, shuddering of course, and throw it outside.

Then you would go to Inasa and reassure him,

He would think that he is a failure and the worst partner ever and then you will have to calm him and tell him that he is the best s/o you could ask for, because well he was.

You find this very adorable and meaningful as he is scared of the roaches too but for you, he was ready to face his phobia.

You both then cuddle and you tease him about it while he is an embarrassed mess,

"I am sorry my beloved! This was only a one-time thing, I will always protect you from those nasty insects, please ignore my moment of weakness" he would say, still blaming himself.

You will literally have to tell him innumerable times that it was okay nd it isn't his fault all night until he falls asleep, his bug figure covering you whole and keeping you safe.

You would always admire his face when he slept, letting that feeling of comfort and being protected fall over you.

Getting rid of the cockroach was the least YOU could do to thank him for being the best s/o there was.

So yeah, that was my first headcanon post ever, and I hope I did it right. I hope it is what you were expecting. I personally really liked writing this, it was fun.
