Riku had a habit of oversleeping. From the very first day you slept over with him, you figured it out. Waking him up was easy, and there were many ways to do it. If you so much as kissed his forehead, like the sleeping beauty he was, he would open his eyes. But he just loved to fall back asleep, which is where the problem came in.

His alarm had gone off almost 4 times already now, and each time he woke up to snooze it, he would soon fall back asleep after mumbling something about how warm the blankets were or how tired he was. By the time the alarm went off the 4th time, you turned it off instead, deciding to take matters into your hands. If he kept this up, Riku was sure to be late to practice.

You knew he was awake, you could feel him nuzzle his head against the crook of your neck, almost as if he knew you would force him to get up and didn’t want you to. He could never say no to you; it was embarrassing how quickly he could fold. He was such a simp. Some days he took it with pride, other days he felt as if it was unfair just how down bad he was. If he wasn’t so in love with you, it would be much easier to get his way.

“Riku, baby.” You started in a soft voice, immediately earning a whine from your boyfriend who only tightened his grip on you.

“Five more minutes, please. I don’t wanna leave you.” He pleaded, his groggy voice muffled by the blankets and pillows.

“You have practice today. It’s already 7.” You nudged him, trying to find a way to get his body off of yours. But he was much stronger than you, and had at least double the determination you did in staying right where he was.

“Just five minutes, I promise.” He mumbled, already on the edge of sleep again. You had to admit he did look so comfortable snuggled so closely to you. And he was warm, and smelled really nice, and…

“Fine, just five more minutes.” You surrendered, your hand finding his back as you started to stroke it. After all, he had been working so hard lately. He deserved a little more sleep since he wanted it so bad. Plus, how could you ever say no to your boyfriend?

Riku sighed in content, pleasant goosebumps rising on his skin as you scratched his back gently. He let sleep overtake him again, mentally preparing to explain to Sion how his alarm just hadn’t worked that morning. Him wanting to stay in bed with you? No, no, that was so unlike him. looking at the menu, you both have your eyes on this strawberry shortcake, it looks so good!

"i wanna get the strawberry shortcake! it looks so yummy!" you say changing your attention from the menu to your boyfriend, waiting for his answer

staring at your boyfriend whos currently waiting for the cake to come out, he catches you looking at him. he just nods his head and smiles at you. hes such a loser, but thats what you love about him. hes not afraid to be himself.

he comes back to the booth with this pretty big slice of the cake. placing the plate on the table and the fork right beside it. seeing how pretty it is, you whip out your phone to take a picture of it, but riku grabs the plate and pretends to take a bite.

"yah yah y/n take a picture of me and this, itd be so cute because im in it" he says poking out his lips and holding a v pose. his natural cuteness awaking inside of him like the weirdo he is. theres no way you could ever be mad at him when hes this cute. snapping a picture of this moment.

"here, you try it first. tell me how it tastes" riku offers handing you the plate, picking up the fork. guiding the form through the cake, putting it in your mouth and savouring the taste. the sugar instantly hitting your mouth, making your eyes smile. looking up at your boyfriend whos just staring at you, hands holding his face up, tilting his head after your eyes meeting each other.

"how is it?" his voice is soft. "its so good!" you say, grabbing a strawberry that was decorates on top of the cake and dipping it on the whipped cream, popping the whole strawberry in your mouth.

"wow you must like it that much huh? youre a messy eater" riku softly chuckles at how cute you look right now. reaching his finger across to wipe the whipped cream from your lip, tasting it from off his finger.

"oh the whipped cream is nice!" riku says acting like he hadnt just licked the cream that was on your face. lightly slapping riku due to the embarassment, he knows youre not a huge fan of pda, but he is. he loves teasing you.

he's watching you enjoy the cake, you offer him the fork but he declines. "but we're supposed to be sharing.." you shyly say.

You and Riku sat comfortably on your couch, him having come over for peace away from the loud dorm he was living in. Snacks scattered about the coffee table, as well as trash from snacks and drinks y'all had previously eaten. Your legs thrown over Riku's lap as you sat sideways, Riku's hands busy themselves with yours, slightly twisting your finger every now and then leaving a small peck on your knuckles.

"Riku" you spoke softly taking your foot, pressing it on his thigh. A small hum left his mouth as he stared lazily at the TV, the movie being played lost both your interests long ago. Instead of responding with words you made a small kiss sound, Riku looked over confused "hm?" In response you once again made the small kiss sound, after a few seconds Riku seemed to have understood.

Giggling softly he shook his head no, your neutral bored face contorted into a confused pout, "why?" Your eyes asked, once again Riku shook his head no "nuh-uh, it's your turn to give the kiss" Riku said making up a lame excuse, "what? Riku, we don't go by turns and you know that" you spoke, snatching your hand from his as you crossed your arm, swinging your legs off his lap you face infront of you.

Riku's quiet giggles turned into slightly disturbing cackles, "no? I think we should" he spoke, tease lacing his words. You scoffed "Riku! Come on, I don't do this to you when you want a kiss" your said, your pout forming into a frown, Riku laughed leaning closer to your ear as he spoke lowly "kiss? You want a kiss?" He teased, sneaking his hands between your folded arms as he pulled them apart setting them to your side, he carefully situated you so your facing him. "Don't be a baby about it" he teased more.

Before you could protest he gently put his lips on yours, your previous train of thought ending, falling into the abyss of Riku, after what felt like an eternity Riku pulled away, "happy?" He asked smoothing your hair down, in response you nodded laying yourself back in his lap with a small smile on your face.

anyway, I wonder how they must feel that their hyung is a weird ass bitch. the way they all talked about him, his talent, his hardwork, etc...the way the 127 members would talk about how much they missed him since his accident back in August of last year. I always think of that video of the Kangaroo unit and how much Chenle wanted his attention. They literally adore this man.

i especially wonder what they feel considering what happened last year with Sungchan and Shotaro leaving to debut in a new group. Let's not forget the situation with Lucas, too. Lucas was hidden for two whole years and then was officially kicked out the same year Sungchan and Shotaro announced their future plans. The lack of stability in this group might be draining to the other members if you think about it. I'd go as far to say that it's chaotic and dysfunctional. I would be on my toes every day if I was a member of NCT are you kidding me? Let's not forget the debut of the Japanese unit, NCT Wish. While members are being kicked out to form new groups and solo careers, an entire reality series is released to debut a new unit. Just like that they're expected to move forward. I'm happy, mind you, that the Wishes got to live their dreams and debut, but the timing of it all really is messy. That is the fault of the management of course, not the members'.

and now THIS? are you SHITTING ME? how do you even process this entire situation? everybody unfollowing him on sns, events being postponed, names trending, people coming up with rumors, pointing fingers at you wondering if you knew etc...ON A GLOBAL SCALE? Oh hell no. Someone you've known, respected, bonded with, formed a brotherhood for over a decade is a FREAK. A LOSER. I remember when I found out someone close to me was a pedophile. I lost my damn mind I couldn't eat. I wondered for days and weeks how I missed the signs. It caused me to not trust ANYONE, not just men. I couldn't even trust my own judgment for a long time. The feeling of having to detach from someone you care so much about because they're a disgusting human being is damaging as hell. You fight with yourself every day because you feel wrong for cherishing happy memories with that person because you feel dirty, but at the same time those moments were real. What do you even do? You force yourself to forget the love and bond so you can accept hate and resentment. It's not like you can forgive the person? Forgive them for what? They didn't do anything to YOU. You're not the victim. You just hate them for being a horrible person.

It's difficult. I really hope that the innocent members of NCT don't beat themselves up. I understand their confusion on a personal level. It's not easy to let go of someone you loved for so long, but you got to. Taeil needs to be dropped by everyone around him. It needs to be done. I hope they find someone to talk to about these things. These changes. Just everything.

Also, just letting y'all know but me mentioning Lucas, Sungchan and Shotaro leaving the group doesn't mean that I believe they should still be in NCT lol i'm talking about the instability of the group
