Don't need to be able to read to look at porn! :D
Seriously, though, I'm sure she stumbled across it and maybe watched a bit out of curiosity... but I like to think she was actually just looking for pictures of cute kittens.
Or... imagine her clicking whatever links happened to appear on whatever page she's on, and just stumbling down a rabbit-hole that way, not knowing where she'll land, but devouring whatever interesting content she finds along the way.
Sometimes it's boring stuff, like just some company websites full of words, and she'll click on through. But sometimes she stumbles across fun pictures, or videos she can watch.
One day she stumbles across Youtube and doesn't leave her room for twelve hours. Later she tells Babs that narwhals are now her favorite animal because "they can beat a polar bear in a fight" and, as someone who is absolutely sure that she can also beat a polar bear in a fight, she respects that.
Steph teaches her how to type "ur dick is tiny lmao" so that she has a ready response any time they stumble across a hater (because Steph is now guiding her internet journey, but Cass likes to have control of the keyboard).
Now that I think about it, I suspect all three Batgirls are the type to beef on the internet, in their own distinctive style. Babs: destroys them with fact-checks, brings the receipts, and delivers it all with a heaping helping of snark and condescension
Steph: long rant that eventually devolves into "YOU WANNA FUCKING FIGHT ME?"
Cass: "Skill issue lol"
Thinking about Batgirl (2000) #30 where Cass still couldn't read but she could type stuff on the internet... the possibilities are endless. What was she doing online? Where was she posting? Was she getting into internet fights without reading the other person's responses?? (Realistically she was just practicing on like Word but it's funny to think about).
#NARWHALS NARWHALS SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN#I think Cass would enjoy the internet the same way she enjoys silly tv shows#Cassandra Cain#Barbara Gordon#Stephanie Brown

Hellu here with the idea of creator!melusine able to work with the hydro element and childe/foul legacy (and neuvi) showing them all the neat tricks?
*eats your idea in one bite* mmmm delicious and tasty :)
perhaps you're not even given a Hydro Vision- instead you have innate control over the waters of the Primordial Sea. in a way it makes sense, the waters being the oldest and most connected to the Creator, but you're still understandably a little spooked when parts of Fontaine's ocean begins bending to your will. Foul Legacy is absolutely ecstatic, however, chittering happily and gently cupping your mittens in his claws. your siblings curiously peek over your shoulders, oohing and aahing as they watch sparkling water form tiny shapes in your hands before dissolving again- you're just like their sister Sigewinne! except, you don't have a Hydro Vision, but you can control the water all the same!
Legacy admittedly wants to teach you how to fight as soon as he can, but Neuvillette lightly flicks him on the forehead with a frown, met with reluctant grumbles. they can both teach you, but first and foremost Neuvillette wants you to know basic control. he makes sure you never get overwhelmed, helping you learn and tempering the waves with his own power as the Hydro Sovereign if anything begins to get out of hand. when he's not here, Foul Legacy secretly teaches you how to make more complex shapes with the droplets, starting from a perfect sphere and moving your way up to eventual weapons- he WILL teach you how to fight with Hydro eventually, it's best to get an early start! although, his favorite thing to do is helping you make a tiny narwhal out of water, the miniature beast swimming around your antennae and Legacy's horns as he trills in delight
#genshin impact#childe#tartaglia#foul legacy#foul legacy childe#genshin tartagalia#genshin childe#genshin tartaglia#sagau#genshin sagau#neuvillette: STOP TEACHING THEM HOW TO FIGHT#foul legacy: you can't tell me what to do#he just wants to make sure you can defend yourself!#although if we're making a continuity you already have an abyssal beast the hydro dragon and the fourth harbinger looking out for you#not to mention the entire population of melusine#short scenario#other's stuff#good evening#chit chat

Ocean Life Mod by MathModder (In Progress)
What you need to know:
This mod seamlessly integrates oceanic creatures into your game map, spawning naturally in the vast expanse of the ocean. Featuring Whales, Dolphins, Sharks, Seals, and various accompanying effects, the experience is enhanced as some animals gracefully breach the water's surface while others elegantly swim near the shore.
How do I make them appear in the ocean?
If your world already has the sailing boat effect like in Sunset Valley, they will appear naturally, spawning little by little without crowding your ocean.
For worlds that don't have this effect, you may be adding the "sailboats" effect to the CAW to make them appear.
There is another way you can do it without needing to go to CAW, which I will explain in a soon-to-be-released video, so in your save you can manually place it without having to edit the world.
How many files will there be?
Will be a maximum of 2 to 3 files.
It is worth mentioning that some files maybe will need to be placed in the Overrides folder and others in the Packages folder, they will all be specified at launch.
Is this mod compatible with other effect mods?
Yes, it will be compatible.
Bugs:
Animals always spawn at sea level. In case your city is very flat in relation to sea level, some whales might occasionally leap high and appear on land, but this seldom happens as land surfaces in worlds are usually a few meters above sea level.
Release date:
Early January 2024 Early Access for Patreons December 2023
Here is the list of animals and other effects that will be included in the mod:
Kraken (From Island Paradise Expansion Pack)
Sharks (From Island Paradise Expansion Pack)

We know that narwhals are swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion, because they are so awesome, but what else do we know about them? This Wet Beast Wednesday, let's go over the unicorn whale, a classic animal that seems like it should be fictional (and should be a Pokemon by now). Narwhals are small (by whale standards) toothed whales that are one of the two living members of the family Monodontidae, the other being the Beluga. Both Monodontids have reduce snouts, giving them squarish heads, a ridge running down the back instead of a dorsal fin, and more flexible necks than most cetaceans. The name Monodontidae means "one-tooth". Despite this, both species actually have multiple teeth, with narwhals having two large teeth, one of which can grow into the famous tusk, and several vestigial teeth that are retained in the jawbone and no not extend into the mouth.
(image: a narwhal from above)
Narwhals are on the small side as far as whales go, growing to between 3.9 to 5.5 m (13 to 18 ft) excluding the tusk and reaching between 800 and 1,600 kg (1,760 to 3,530 lbs). They live in the Arctic and north Atlantic oceans, frequently sharing a neighborhood with their beluga cousins. They migrate seasonally, moving closer to shores during the summer and out to the sea ice in winter. Their winter behavior is notable as narwhals spend a lot of their time under the sea ice, surfacing in cracks to breathe. This is dangerous and many individuals will die of suffocation before they reach their average lifespan of 50 years. Narwhals also can dive up to 1,500 m (almost 5,000 ft) deep during their winter feeding, one of the deepest dives recorded among marine mammals. These dives can last for up to 25 minutes and can happen over 15 times a day. Narwhals feed primarily on cod, halibut, cuttlefish, and squid. Because of their mostly toothless mouths, narwhals are believed to hunt by sucking prey into their mouths and swallowing them whole.
(image: several narwhals at a breathing hole)
Like many other cetaceans, narwhals are highly social. They typically swim in pods of up to 20 individuals outside of the summer. These be mixed sex groups or could be separated nursery pods consisting of juveniles and adult females and all-male pods. During the summer, pods will come together in aggregations of up to over 1,000 narwhals. Communication is important in any social species and narwhals have that covered. Scientists have described multiple types of vocalizations including, clicks, whistles, knocks, trumpeting, and (I swear I didn't make this up) squeaking door sounds. Audio recordings have seen that groups share more sounds internally than with other groups, indicating possible group or individual-specific sounds. Females reach sexual maturity between 5 and 8 years old while males do so at 11 to 13 years old. One calf is born at a time in most cases and nurse for up to 20 months. During this time, they stay within 2 body lengths of their mother and learn their survival skills by observing her. DNA analysis has confirmed an instance of a narwhal-beluga hybrid.
(image: a narwhal pod seen from above)
Now for the part you're all here for: the tusk. The tusk is a modified tooth. Specifically, it is the left canine tooth, which grows out through the upper lip in a distinctive left-handed helical spiral and usually gets to be about 1/3rd the whale's body length. In 1 of 500 males, the right tooth may also grow into a second tusk. Narwhals are sexually dimorphic and the tusk is a male feature. Almost every male with grow a tusk while only 15% of females grow one. There is a single known instance of a female growing two tusks and its skull is currently housed in the Zoologisches Museum in Hamburg, Germany. The function of the tusk has been the subject of debate for quite a while. The leading hypothesis is that is is used for sexual display, like a deer's antlers or peacock's fail feathers. However, the tusk seems to have more uses than just that. The tusk is filled with millions of nerve endings, allowing it to act as a sense organ detecting water quality. Males are known to rub their tucks together or against the backs of other males. This may be a display of dominance, but may also be used to exchange sensory information about the water the other male has swum through. Video footage has revealed that narwhals will sometimes strike fish with the tusk, stunning the fish and making it easier prey. Other proposed functions of the tusk include as a weapon or used to create breathing holes in sea ice. The general consensus seems to be the tusk is primarily used for display and that any additional uses are secondary. The tusk cannot be vital to survival as the tuskless females typically live longer than males.
(Image: multiple narwhal tusks)
(image: a close-up of a narwhal skull showing the tusk)
A shitpost once asked the question "are narwhals nars or whals?". I actually can answer this question. The word narwhal comes from the old norse "nár" meaning corpse (a reference to the mottled grey skin of the whale) and "hval" meaning whale. "Hval" became "whal" as time when on and languages were translated. So Narwhal means corpse whale. Since narwhals aren't actually corpses, they are whals and not nars, at least until they die.
(image: a pod of male narwhals)
Narwhals are threatened by climate change due to the changing sea ice coverage in their territory. Noise from ships is also known to disrupt and disturb them. For a long time, they were classified as Nearly Threatened by the IUCN as the world population was estimated to be below 50,000. In more recent years, new estimates put the population at around 170,000, resulting in a reclassification to Least Concern. Narwhal, with her hair, which she wore in a twisted and tusk-like shape, becoming the tusk. Narhwal tusks are believed to have inspired the design of the unicorn horn in European art. One story of dubious veracity claims that an emperor of Rome was presented with a narwhal tusk imported from northern Europe and he declared that it was a unicorn horns have historically been hunted by the Inuit people and while there are international restrictions on the sale of tusks and other body parts, Inuit people in Canada and Greenland have special permission to hunt them. They are hunted for their meat, blubber, and tusks and vertebrae, which are often carved and sold. The raw skin and blubber is a delicacy called Muktuk. In Inuit mythology, narwhals did not originally have tusks. A woman harpooned a narwhal and was either pulled into the sea or pushed in, where she turned into a narwhal. Her hair, which she wore in a twisted, tusk-like style, became the tusk. Narwhal tusks are believed to have inspired the common image of a unicorn horn. One story of dubious veracity claims that a Roman emperor was shown a narwhal tusk and declared it to be a unicorn horn.

Review flotsams?
Flotsams have always had an interesting history with Jetsams, as originally their designs were almost interchangeable minus some subtle differences. Nowadays the two are more distinct, with Flotsams lacking teeth, eyebrows, and having a horn, among other things. Between the two, I do like Flotsams a bit more—they're mostly just dolphins, but they have a nice streamlined design and a few unique features tossed in here and there.
Visually, all of the basic Flotsam colours sport a pink underside. I think it looks better on some colours than others (blue, for example), but I do wish they had gone for something a little more neutral. Thankfully, most colours end up changing this anyway, making it a little bit of a non-point.
Flotsam look near-identical to their old art, just sporting a different pose and a slightly larger horn. I actually like the post-customization art a bit more, just because of the more quadrupedal swim-ready pose and additional shading. They do technically have a "fist", but it's so subtle it actually doesn't look bad for a change.
Favorite Colours:
Halloween: Sheet ghosts aren't usually anything special, but dang, they really made this one work. I love the dark red base contrasted with the white of the sheet, which is also well drawn in terms of how the folds sit relative to the body. There's lots of nice details on the sheets as well, like the patch on the back and the separate neckline, and I love that they managed to give it a more morose expression via the sheet without actually changing the base expression. Speaking of which, the blood-red base colour is also fantastic and deserves a shoutout in and of itself.
Royal: What a beautiful color! I really like how natural the robes look, and the jewelry that hooks around the horn is such a neat way to handle a crown for a narwhal-esq ocean creature. There's also some nice markings on the tail and fins as an added bonus, and both are equally balanced in terms of design (though I do prefer the female a bit more personally, just because the markingss pop a bit more).
Flotsams are also one of the few royal pets that didn't get destroyed with customization, on the grounds that they weren't really anthro to begin with. The converted designs are spot-on except for a weird half-of-a-necklace that the male sports that honestly seems like an art mistake.
Pastel: Just a really pretty colour as a whole, using a green/yellow/purple palette with strong use of gradients. Colored lineart makes the whole thing seem appropriately pastel-y, and the blue eye pops against the sutble pink underside.

More mermaid au thoughts:
Because Killer can't see shit, he especially needs a guide when swimming around, so he benefits the most from Cross's slip streams (they're gay)
When Horror joined he wasn't used to the sun so Dust helped him adjust to it slowly (they're gay)
Ccino would be a catfish, because he runs a cat cafe
Reaper would be a whale shark and Geno would be a narwhal (OCEAN UNICORN)
I feel like it'd be silly is Fresh was a shrimp, but also bigger than the rest
Nightmare would feed the gang crabs, because the blue ringed octopus mostly eats those (they also eat small fish and shrimp). Dolphins, tiger sharks, and anglerfish also eat crabs, so Cross, Killer, and Horror are fine (tho they would prefer more differences). Dust hates it, because swordfish eat fish and squids not crabs. @thatidiotutartist look, Dust hating his meals because of swordfish AUTISM
- @largefoundation
The little (they're gay) made me giggle
Honestly, I'm starting to envision some of their designs, not vivid, but I can see how cool they'd look. Especially some scenarios as well.
Horror adjusting to the sunlight would be nice. But I'm a little curious about how they gang found Horror or who did. Because of his species, yk, dolphins(I think) don't go into that depth nor do sharks. I ASSUME. Octopuses? Maybe. Or did Horror swim up out of hunger or fear of a bigger predator. Cause why did he feel the need to go up that led him to being found by the others?
Also Dust with the autism, slay.
