I don't remember a lot of the intricacies, I just know that she was an apprentice and had similar recovery abilities as her granny! i'll have to go dig up notes and stuff i had about her somewhere...

one of my most vivid memories was that she was completely infatuated with Bakugo and for the longest time it seemed one-sided, but in reality he was too busy with his own goals (and also embarrassed but he would never admit it outright heh)

Funny thing called life happened after I returned from Japan so had to sort that crap out which is why it has taken so long with the Sera Myu Chronicle pamphlet translations (and also cause the I couldn’t be bothered to translate the first bit, but I did anyway lol) SO LET’S CONTINUE WHERE WE LEFT OFF

(remember that not all translations are 100% accurate)

Greetings from a few staff members (aka my personal hell)

When I came across this production, it was really shocking to see how sensational it was for women to become soldiers, and as they continue to fight in modern times, I feel the persistence of human beliefs and justice in the fact the the world is demanding it.

Last year the baton was given to us after the many trials of Bandai’s musicals and that is all thanks to the efforts of many people.

I feel a great sense of responsibility and gratitude for being involved in this production that has a lot of history. Among them is the choreographer, Satomi Touma, who has been involved in Sera Myu for a long time. Whom achieves both “unchanging history” and “changing entertainment” with her choreography from working with the Sailor Senshi to the enemies. In that way, the “Sera Myu-ness” that cannot be expressed in words has been handed down to us and keeps on living without fading.

Without forgetting the respect for all the people involved in this production, all of us are determined to put our hearts and souls into this radiant show so that we can repay Takeuchi-sensei for all the wonderful encounters. Please enjoy the beloved songs and the brave pretty soldiers who keep on fighting till the end.

I am truly grateful to be able to take part in the 30th anniversary celebration of Sailor Moon which is loved throughout the world. When talking about the songs of Sailor Moon, it goes without mention that Moonlight Densetsu has such an impact that it is difficult to describe it. Even for me, who didn’t watch Sailor Moon when growing up, hearing that impressive melody and lyrics, the silhouettes of those pretty yet pretty heroes come to mind. I have been the music composer since the previous musical and finally the vague silhouettes of the heroes have finally become real. Furthermore, combined with the individuality of the cast who basically live their own characters, I’m very proud to see the company grow into a more wonderful company that attracts all Sailor Moon fans. I have great expectations fo the further leap forward, and I myself would like to enjoy this FESTIVAL to the fullest, as it will be a perfect opportunity for me to experience the numerous masterpieces of the older musicals.

The first time I was introduced to the Sailor Moon musicals was in 2014. It has been 8 years since then.

We have worked hard with many Sailor Soldiers from different generations.

The stage is more brutal than you can imagine. However, in addition to the scale of the production, there is the strength of each actor’s ambition and challenge. And after every time a performance is over, I look at everyone and notice how different everyone has become and how they have grown… They truly are like soldiers. The tears shed shed at the Senshuuraku(final performance) are like the tears of a pure girl but they are also tears full of pride and strength, that is what I think when I see them. Surely, we will all be guided by the production “Sailor Moon” in meetings, in challenges, whether we are friends or enemies, or whether we have to fight against ourselves. That is what this production has thought us. It is something universal and unwavering that pushes us forward. Thank you so much for coming to see 30th Anniversary Musical Festival Chronicle! I am overwhelmed with emotion to be able to share this time with everyone on this special milestone. I would like to continue to protect his eternal brilliance with all of you.

So I’m marathon watching Arifureta for the first time, and of course as a longtime fan of Rising of the Shield Hero I’m noticing a lot of broad-stroke similarities.

But what’s amusing the hell out of me is a difference. Because while both teens get Badly Traumatized in their new world, and wind up with Massive Trust Issues as a result, they heal in completely opposite ways.

Naofumi copes by becoming a complete Dom - shading for a good while into Master territory. He’s not a harsh or cruel Master, but he’s really only comfortable around women who are in a subservient (or straight up slave) role, and it takes him a long time to mellow down to Dom from Master. Even longer to deal on even terms with women who out-power him (usually he just avoids them or makes them want to avoid him). Bluntly - Naofumi’s reaction to his betrayal is to become a complete and utter control freak, and he can only show his softer inner self if he’s absolutely certain he is in complete control of the situation/relationship.

Hajime copes by going full tilt in the other direction - he’s a sub. He’s very clear on who his domme is, too. While he spreads this out across his harem, ultimately he only has actual interest once the woman in question demonstrates a willingness to straight up ignore/push past any resistance or barrier he might place between them (yeah, even in Tio’s case, he only even remotely begins listening to her when she demonstrates that she’s going to stick around REGARDLESS of what he does or has to say about it, and while she’s a masochist, in practice this basically means he has no power over her, because even if he hurts her, she’ll enjoy it). He’s got a solid criteria list for his dommes, and has pretty minimal interest in any woman that doesn’t meet those criteria. Hajime’s reaction to his betrayal is to build walls, big solid emotional/psychological walls, and for a long time he can only show his gentler self if the woman he’s with can either push past them or otherwise get around them. This even applies to the child Myu, who simply never sees those walls in the first place. I note, too, that while the boundary issue is essentially the primary step required, you don’t get full status until you prove you’re strong enough to protect him, and that you’re willing to do so when it counts.

I make absolutely no judgement as to which of these is the ‘better’ approach. Each of them seems to have a solution that works well for him, and while I find it amusing to mentally picture the sheer “WTF??” they’d have on meeting the other guy, honestly what works for them is all that matters.

something really funny I've encountered across literally hundreds of fics is that not one person has tried to redeem jiang fengmian. not one person likes him. people will girlbossify myu. they will cast jc as the sole victim in every single tragedy that happens in the show. they will claim that jin zixuan is the only character to undergo positive character development (a real post I had to read). they will make excuses for xue yang and claim that jgy cares more about public infrastructure than revenge. they will deify lwj. they will characterize su she as a hero of the people. they will make lan qiren a support pillar for lgbt youth who talks to wx about safe sex

every single character with more complexity than like, jgs or wen chao has at least one diehard fan willing to rewrite their entire character to justify their actions, except him. people just universally looked at this kind of shitty father in the midst of a ton of characters doing as bad or worse things and went 'fuck him specifically. forever. irredemable'. hilarious honestly

The right thing to do.

KyuHyun: Los tres han coincidido en la cafetería a la hora de comer y han decidido compartir una misma mesa, la verdad es que KyuHyun no come demasiado, por lo que su plato está echado hacia un lado, el izquierdo por aquello de concertar, ocupando su lado derecho y por lo tanto en el que es más diestro con una hoja en la que se encuentra haciendo un diseño simple de como crear una mesa de trabajo útil y plegable para poder trabajar en la habitación sin tener que acceder al taller del lugar, por mera comodidad.

No es que no esté prestando atención cuando hablan de lo pacífico que se ve el lugar ahora que son pocos alumnos, ni que esté dividido entre una cosa y otra, es que cuando tiene una idea no se puede estar quieto del todo, cuando cree que tiene al menos lo básico del diseño hecho saca uno de los robots que apenas nunca sale del bolsillo para que este se pose un momento en la hoja y, además de escanear, y digitalizar el dibujo, en un modo vectorial perfecto, borra cualquier resto de grafito de la hoja antes de volver a buscar refugio, es un robot pequeño, del tamaño aproximado de media pelota de golf, redondeado, con ojos enormes que le sirven de escaner y, al mismo tiempo, pese a que es uno de sus robots más “curiosos” por definirlo de algún modo, también es al que parece afectarle más el rasgo tímido de su propia personalidad.

Mueve un poco el plato hacia el centro solo para seguir haciendo lo mismo que antes, que es casi ir moviendo la comida de un lado a otro y, muy de vez en cuando, tomando un trocito de algo que de pronto le parece apetecible.

Son las decoraciones, o quizá solo las fechas pero parece inevitable que en algún punto la amena conversación acabe en preguntas sobre si celebraban la Navidad cuando eran pequeños, los otros dos chicos le cuentan que no así que él pasa a explicar como era en su casa hasta la muerte de sus abuelos maternos, les habla de la comida, nombra incluso el recuerdo de aquellas galletas y de los dulces y comenta con algo más de ilusión el tema de los regalos.

La figura de Santa, sin embargo, abre un debate pronto, pues todos concuerdan que aunque es agradable para los niños que reciben regalos bajo el árbol aquellos de familias con menos poder adquisitivo acabarían pensando que no se portaron tan bien o, directamente, dándose cuenta de que el mundo es totalmente injusto a una edad demasiado temprana.

—Yo podría hacer juguetes para unos cuantos para ayudar al menos a que un puñado no tenga una navidad tan triste… pero necesitaría un poco de ayuda.

Comenta con una sonrisa muy leve, al fin y al cabo, los tres querían ser un apoyo más para la sociedad, ninguno estaba allí con intención de ser un villano, él y Jia incluso parecían con ganas de dejar claro que su poder, o ellos mismos, no debía ser tan destructivo como el de sus padres y en el caso de Max, bueno Max es que ya venía de una familia que haría de todo por poder ayudar a los demás así que cree que puede animarse a ayudarlos también, o eso espera, porque su ayuda es quizá la más determinante.

Jia: Cuando pensaba en su vida tan solo un par de meses atrás, veía la diferencia que había con lo que era ahora. Ya no solo por lo obvio que suponían las clases o el lugar donde estaba, era un cambio más bien de ella misma, un cambio que se veía traducido en que antes nunca se atrevía a sentarse con nadie y ahora charlaba animada con dos personas a la hora de la comida. Para los demás podía ser algo completamente normal pero para ella era todo un logro, un gran paso en lo que debía encaminar su vida.

No le molesta que KyuHyun parezca ensimismado con lo que está dibujando, aunque siente algo de curiosidad por ello, echando algún vistazo al papel sin llegar a comprender del todo lo que hacía. La conversación es interesante, estaba acostumbrada a que la gente de su entorno tuviera las mismas "creencias" que ella, o más bien, las mismas costumbres, así que siempre se había preguntado como era aquello de celebrar la navidad.

Santa, en cambio, no le parece un gran personaje, era como una forma de hacer que los niños tuvieran un concepto malo de si mismos todo el tiempo. Que tuvieran que creer como se habían portado según lo que recibían de un desconocido, no le parecía apropiado ni justo.

Por eso la idea de KyuHyun le parece maravillosa, no es que ellos pudieran ayudar a todos los niños que se quedaban sin regalos, pero su madre siempre decía que un grano de arroz podía hacer cambiar a la balanza.

-Yo puedo ayudarte con los juguetes, quizás pueda idear algunos bocetos y tú... ¿Les das vida?

Recordaba cuando era pequeña y jugaba con el resto de niños, los juguetes traían felicidad y diversión, aunque aquello había sido antes de mostrar su poder.

ChangMin: Es cómodo que los tres se hayan hecho lo suficientemente cercanos para conversar de todo y de nada, y en particular para Max es sumamente significativo que sus dos nuevos amigos tengan la confianza de ser ellos mismos con él. Habla entonces de sus pocas navidades ya sin pena o timidez.

Sabe vagamente el estigma que ambos han cargado respecto a ser o no villanos y si hay algo que puede asegurar es que ambos son de las personas más buenas y sensibles que ha conocido; tan sólo basta con escuchar la platica del día de hoy para confirmarlo, en la que la idea de Gyuhyun y Jia se basa en hacer feliz a personas que necesitan un cachito de esperanza.

—No soy nada bueno construyendo o diseñando, pero sí puedo ayudar con el polvo lunar a repartirlos... Incluso para hacer luminosos los juguetes.— Lo último lo dice casi con una boba risa, porque es una mínima cosa a comparación con magnitud de la idea de ambos. —¿Podemos empezar esta tarde? Seguramente tendremos todo listo en pocas horas entre los tres...

KyuHyun: Les escucha mientras se termina, en dos sorbos muy largos, la coca-cola que estaba sobre la mesa, solo para levantarse a recoger gran parte de lo que ya habían consumido y tener más espacio en la misma para organizar como hacer las cosas, usa la misma hoja en la que había dibujado antes, que ahora vuelve a ser de un blanco impoluto, demostrando que su habilidad para el dibujo se reducía a esos esquemas y patrones porque cuando los hace a ellos son todos dibujos de palito.

La verdad es que la idea de que el otro pudiera hacer luminosos alguno de los juguetes le parece una maravilla y trata de plasmarlo haciendo a alguno de los que dibuja sin forma especifica colocándole rayas alrededor que para él significan el brillo, el plan es sencillo, en teoría, así que el dibujo es solo para ordenar como hacer las cosas.

Entre las primeras ideas de juguetes que se les ocurren mientras los otros terminan de comer, él va dibujando, con mucha más habilidad, el como hacerlos de forma fácil, esperando a que terminen para ir al taller de la escuela a ponerse a trabajar en ellos.

Jia: La idea de Max, de poder hacer que algunos brillen le parece adorable y le hace pensar en aquellos niños que suelen tener miedo a la oscuridad. Seguro que un muñeco, un peluche o algo así que pudieran tener cerca todo el tiempo, con el que se sintieran protegidos sería perfecto. Eso es en lo primero que piensa, mientras termina de comer, murmurando algunas ideas entre bocados mientras observa como KyuHyun va dibujando cosas en el papel.

Cuando termina, se levanta para dejar la bandeja en su sitio y poder tomar el cuaderno que siempre llevaba en la mochila. Le es inevitable que sus diseños tengan algo que ver con la cultura china al principio, por lo que se corrige tratando de pensar en juguetes con los que podrían identificarse todos los niños.

Realmente sentía que ella hacía muy poco en comparación con lo que harían los otros dos, uno construyendo los juguetes y el otro repartiéndolos.

ChangMin: Lanza un par de ideas aquí y por allá acerca de los juguetes, demasiado genérico porque, por un lado, no es nada hábil en el arte del dibujo, y por el otro realmente sus gustos son muy sobrios y no puede imaginar algún juguete en específico más que coches, al contrario de Jia y Gyuhyun que van generando varias propuestas de dibujos, intercambiando ese estilo oriental y tecnológico hasta lograr diseños que jamás hubiese pensado.

—Estos son realmente buenos, yo pienso que les encantarán a los niños...— Dice sin ocultar lo fascinado que estaba por uno en particular de Jia. —Oigan... Si los hago volar... ¿Entregan conmigo?— Cuestiona con una risa traviesa. En teoría sería sencillo ayudar a ambos a elevarse con su polvo lunar y lo ve problemas con el hecho de que ambos controlen con facilidad el vuelo, además, la idea de los tres compartiendo un poco del don de la luna a media noche le hace sentir esa calidez de quien comparte una amistad eterna.

KyuHyun: Deja de dibujar para mirar al otro chico cuando habla de que los puede hacer volar, recordando al pingüino robot que había hecho volar aquella vez que le habló de sus poderes, sus ojos se quedan perdidos en la idea y el recuerdo un segundo antes de volver a terminar con el diseño del juguete del que Jia estaba hablando en ese momento, el mayor problema que tenían era conseguir los materiales, aquello era lo que les limitaba para cierto tipo de juguetes pero lo estaban solucionando con ingenio en los detalles del diseño.

—Yo prefiero mantener mis pies en el suelo. — responde con una voz totalmente amable y suave, no era desconfianza ni falta de ganas de volar, de hecho se estaba negando a sí mismo algo que le gustaría hacer por culpa de un sentimiento extraño en el estómago, uno que no había sentido nunca antes y que, pese a no saber ponerle nombre en ese momento sabe que es una sensación muy desagradable que confunde con un mal presentimiento en ese momento.

—¿Vamos al taller? — pregunta cuando los dos terminan por completo de comer, haciendo un ruido suave al sacar al robot para que escanee y limpie la libreta al completo de los bocetos, riéndose un poco cuando el robot con forma de pingüino quiere salir a espiar pero solo consigue asomar la cabeza porque él mismo vuelve a empujarlo al fondo del bolsillo de la sudadera.

Naruto, My Hero Academia and Sailor Moon stage plays to be live streamed with English Subtitles

The first Japan 2.5D Stage Play World: Anime, Manga & Game Theater Online Festival 2021 is being held from August 6th (Friday) to 26th (Thursday) 2021 in 6 countries (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Singapore).

the laughing-crying is another EXCELLENT part of this scene. 1. wwx as a character is strongly associated with mirth, but this is a miserable and twisted laughter that conveys and brings no joy, just expresses how far he's been pushed and how close he is to his breaking point. 2. villainous laughter is a part of so many cliches and fairy tales - how many disney movies have you seen with a darkly chuckling villain or cackling megalomaniac? it fits the perception people have of him as an uncaring and malicious demon

this is such a good point! I think for wwx especially, who's had a long life of sacrifice, or unfair punishment, and of serving others, this rankles him particularly. I don't blame him for being sick of it

I've complained before about it not making sense that postres wwx avoided lwj (because they were friends in the flahback!), but if I'm being fair, lwj did in fact attack wwx. with his sword. and I can see wwx waking up and being really leery about what lengths lwj would go to subdue him again.

I'm sure he knew lwj didn't want to kill him - after all, they have such a history and lwj did save him, at the very end. but there's a huge difference between wanting him dead and wanting to support and protect and hide him, and wwx wasn't expecting lwj to offer him that. because he hasn't, historically, look, he;s trying to fight him right here. and he's made it clear in the past that his feelings are secondary to his sect and the path of orthodoxy. so wwx is entirely justified in all his reactions, in fact
