it's now time for...
music recs from beyond the grave!
a series in which i yap about my latest discoveries
Lunatic Soul
Solo studio music project of Mariusz Duda, lead singer of the Polish progressive rock band Riverside, Lunatic Soul's dark musical atmosphere evokes this intense feeling one can experience at twilight. There's something quite mystical about it, as if the winds and the mountains were whispering in your ear.
From the album Walking on a Flashlight Beam (2014):
Eastern High
This Swedish metal band's progressive approach can sometimes be reminiscent of Aether Realm's sound, although I feel it has a more mystique spirit — if that's even possible. Let's just say, as a Ghost fan: there's something in Swedish music that makes it impossible for them to make anything but bangers (I don't think this can be proven wrong).
Today's recs are from their first album, Garden of Heathens (2017). The first one, Afterglow, is the last song in the album (yeah, I like doing things the wrong way round). It is quite atmospheric, with almost ethereal vocals and clear acoustic guitar sounds.
The next one, Bottled Insanity (the first in the album, ha!), goes harder: with heavy guitar riffs and deep growls in the middle, it is quite reminiscent of melodic death metal. There is a notable contrast between soft and heavy passages, which I appreciate a lot. I find that the guitar solo is bleeding through very nicely. Side note: the chorus feels very solemn — which is a plus in my book, considering the vibe of this song.
Cellar Darling
A Swiss heavy progressive folk rock band! This trio was previously part of Swiss folk metal band Eluveite, and decided to embark on a different path — one free of any creative limits.
In their first studio album This Is the Sound (2017), vocalist Anna Murphy's powerful voice, combined with the rich sound of her hurdy-gurdy and heavy riffs, manages to throw you into a mystical experience. You'd almost expect Morgan le Fay to come out of the nearest bush, belting this song.
They also covered Queen's The Prophet Song (in 2018). Here, again, Anna Murphy's vocals are pure delight to the ears.
Zaho de Sagazan
This French singer-songwriter made a splash by covering Bowie's Modern Love for the opening of the Cannes Film Festival 2024, as a nod to Greta Gerwig's nomination as the jury's president. During this performance, she threw herself into the music — as she always does on stage — and invited us all into her world of electronic music.
She declared falling in love with the German language later, although she did study it in high school. From this, she decided to cover the famous song 99 Luftballons, by West German band Nena.
Zaho de Sagazan is hypersensitive, something that brought her a lot of trouble as a kid. But, “One day [she] discovered music, and [she] realized that by crying over [her] piano did [her] a lot of good, it didn't hurt anyone and above all it gave pretty songs. [She] realized that what [she] thought was [her] greatest flaw in life was ultimately [her] greatest quality”. From this discovery, the song La symphonie des éclairs (literally “The symphony of lightning”) was born.
Aaaand I've hit the hellsite's limit for Spotify integrations... Which means, without any surprise, that I'll continue these recommendations in another post (depending on this one's reception). I hope you enjoyed listening to all of these, as much as I've enjoyed writing about them!
Have a nice day, and don't forget to feel the music!

Christmas Reunion
Summary: After many of years longing for Bucky you both meet again at a Christmas feast.
Word count: 683
Warnings: no one
Bucky x Reader
The Christmas atmosphere seemed to permeate the entire estate as you and Bucky were finally reunited after a decade apart. The festively decorated room glowed with the warm glow of candlelight, while the cheerful murmur of the guests and the tantalizing smell of Christmas treats filled the air. You didn't want to go to the party at first, but now you're glad you did.
Then, quite unexpectedly, you catch sight of Bucky in the hustle and bustle, and your breath is taken away. He may have aged a little, and he doesn't look like he did when you were a kid, but you'd still recognise him.
Your eyes met and for that moment time seemed to stand still. A hint of nervousness mingled with joyful excitement as you both came to a halt and finally, after so many years, you both walked towards each other and embraced. Immediately, a feeling of security, love and the feeling that you have both been longing for for years washed over you both. The crackling of Christmas music and the soft rustling of wrapping paper set the scene for your reunion.
"It feels surreal to see you again after all these years," you confessed as you retreated to a comfortable couch.
Bucky nodded in agreement. "Time has changed so much, but at this moment it feels like we were never apart."
"It's like time has stopped," Bucky said as they both looked at the festively decorated room.
You smiled. "Sometimes it feels like we've never been apart."
Bucky nodded in agreement. "Time has changed a lot, but some things never do."
You both began to reminisce. Your words are like brush strokes painting the picture of your past years. You talk about the ups and downs, the milestones and the lessons life has taught you. Between sentences, you both felt the familiarity of your stories and the invisible thread that connected your hearts.
"It wasn't easy to forget you," Bucky said with a smile that reflected years of longing. "I kept looking for you, even though I knew you had expanded the city."
"You were always a part of me," you replied quietly. "There wasn't a day when I didn't think of our time together.”
The conversation deepened, and with each passing moment the room seemed to vibrate with the intensity of their emotions. As they walked out into the garden, a thin layer of snow covered the ground and the clear night was streaked with a sea of twinkling stars.
"Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't parted ways," you said, your eyes fixed on the snowy landscape.
Bucky put his hand gently on your shoulder. "Maybe we're exactly where we're supposed to be, here and now."
The silence of the garden was broken by a soft snowfall that fell from the sky like tiny crystals. Under the mystical light of the moon, they realised that the magic of Christmas lay not only in the festive decorations, but also in the rediscovery of love and connection.
"It's amazing how a night like this can bring back memories," you remark, your eyes fixed on the twinkling stars.
Bucky agrees. "Maybe it's the little miracles that remind us of what really matters."
The sparks between them turned into bright fireworks, and they knew that this Christmas night was not only a reunion, but also a new beginning.
Under a twinkling starry sky, they exchanged stories and glances. The warmth of their words pierced the cold night and they felt that this reunion was more than just a chance meeting. It was an opportunity to honour the past while forging a new path into the future.
Hand in hand, they walked the snowy path to the future, enriched by the knowledge that sometimes the greatest gift of love is the ability to rediscover it, even after a long journey of separation.
After all these years, you are finally reunited and you are glad that you accepted the unknown invitation too the Feast, because it was the only way to get back the love of your life.

The Pretty Cures and its Saints: Smile Pretty Cure!
LONG. TIME. COMING. 2012 is the year that is all gon' crazy - from the Linsanity takeover, Obama got re-elected as the Commander-in-Chief, Loreen winning in Baku, to the end of the Mayan calendar (and it's not the end of the world as we know it). So, without further ado, here are the Smile Cures with their birthdays corresponding with feast days that is honored and recognized by the Roman Catholic Church!
January 10 - Miyuki Hoshizora (Cure Happy)
St. William of Donjeon (Guillaume de Donjeon): French prelate of the Cistercian order who served as the Archbishop of Bourges from 1200 AD until his passing. He was also known for his deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and for his conversion of sinners, and oversaw the construction of the new archdiocesan cathedral that his predecessor had authorized and in which he himself would be buried. It had been claimed that he performed eighteen miracles in life and a further eighteen in death.
May 8 - Akane Hino (Cure Sunny)
The Apparition of St. Michael the Archangel: Traditionally in the Liturgy of the Church, there are two feasts of St. Michael in the Universal Calendar: May 8 and September 29. According to the Roman Breviary, the feast was instituted to thank God for a military victory achieved at Monte Gargano, Italy, on May 8th in the year 663, through the intercession of St. Michael.
December 14 - Yayoi Kise (Cure Peace)
St. John of the Cross: Spanish Carmelite priest, mystic and friar, who is a major figure of the Counter-Reformation in Spain, and he is one of the thirty-seven Doctors of the Church. John is known for his writings, and was mentored by and corresponded with the older Carmelite Teresa of Ávila. Both his poetry and his studies on the development of the soul, particularly his Noche Obscura, are considered the summit of mystical Spanish literature and among the greatest works of all Spanish literature. Canonized a saint by Pope Benedict XIII in 1726 and declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius XI in 1926.
October 9 - Nao Midorikawa (Cure March)
St. Louis Bertrand: Spanish Dominican friar, confessor, missionary, and religious brother who is known as the ’Apostle of South America.’ After his ordination by St. Thomas of Villanova, he went to South America for his missionary work. According to legend, a deadly draught was administered to him by one of the native priests. Through Divine interposition, the poison failed to accomplish its purpose. There is a town festival, called La Tomatina in Buñol, Valencia, in his honor along with Mare de Déu dels Desemparats.
February 10 - Reika Aoki (Cure Beauty)
St. Scholastica: According to a tradition from the 9th century, she is the twin sister of St. Benedict. She is the foundress of the women’s branch of Benedictine Monasticism, and is the patron saint of nuns, education, and convulsive children, and is invoked against storms and rain, due to a narrative that can be found in the Dialogues by St. Gregory the Great.
March 17 - Ayumi Sakagami (Cure Echo)
St. Gertrude of Nivelles: 17th century Benedictine abbess who, with her mother Itta, founded the Abbey of Nivelles, now in Belgium. She is the patron saint of travelers, gardeners, against plague and cats.

𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐗 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 . . . the mystical force that has kept all the inhabitants of gaea remains steadfast, showing no signs of waning. however, as days have turned into an entire week, and there still no answers to be found despite all the scholars in the capital working endlessly to uncover ways to combat this unknown entity, the guests in the palace have become restless. they were allowed to venture to the rest of the capital, but such sights certainly do loose their appeal when everyone realizes they do not know how long this mystical force intends to hold everyone in the capital.
spring was now in full motion, the floras and faunas in full bloom, and the time of the spring equinox was upon gaea as well as the spring court. in an effort to ease tensions, to lift spirits, and allow the spring court faes to celebrate their spring festivities without interruptions, the royal family have arranged the spring squinox celebration in the form of a masked ball . the royal family hope this was will serve as a way for their guests to forget the ordeal surrounding them for the time of the celebrations, to enjoy the coming of spring, and have some form of entertainment.
this masked ball will be held outside in the royal gardens, the expansive land of the gardens were entirely decorated to resemble a spring wonderland, canopies and gazebos were added for seating, refreshments and food in an never-ending supply, and fairy lights were hung to illuminate the space for when the sun set on the horizon. gaea's best musicians were present once more, as well as entertainers. the gardens looked like something out of a fairytale, the royals sparing no detail to transform the garden to resemble the ballroom. the royal family has made masks a requirement, and the attire must contain themes of spring

Looking for test readers
I'm splitting Taste of Copper in two bc agents and publishers don't like lengthy debuts, and I'm not going to try self publishing again unless I have to. Means both parts need to stand on their own, and that means revision.
I'm candidly looking for beta readers willing to read through 88k words and tell me what they think in this context, and general feedback, there's no fixed deadline but please don't just ghost me, only contact me if you're sure you can finish. I need comps too, can't think of anything besides GOTxBRIDGERTON.
I can't afford paid services or swaps at this moment.
Eye-catching details:
low-key fantasy, soft magic systems (aka The Magic Causes The Problems) in medievalesque setting;
queernorm setting (=queerness is normal in the setting);
sun and moon imagery with Sunshine Cheeky Love Interest falls first and Overthinking Yet Oblivious Moonlight Protagonist falls harder;
protagonist is asexual demiromantic, love interest is bisexual and very romantic (and very respectful of boundaries because it's sexy);
sociopolitical intrigue mostly based on the protagonist trying to Bedazzle Bespoke Bewilder his way through reforming society and gathering a pack of troublemakers to help him do so with investigations and trials (it causes more trouble);
festivals, balls, parties, teamaking, card games over tea, strategizing over tea, turning rivals into friends over tea, the usual;
opinionated horses;
equal focus on the pairing and on enacting large scale projects (writer is aroace and a plotter).
I'm especially looking for aspec readers <3
Let me know you're interested with a message on here. I can give you a google docs or a file in an email, just fill out the questionnaire I'll also link/send you.
Current pitch and first chapter (380 words) below cut. Here's a moodboard
Taste of Copper - Pitch
Ambrose Adenhart grew up walking the line between the noble mundanity and the wild mystical woods, ever restless, ever poised. He’d thought his duty in life was to inherit the Northern Doyen title and rule the Clifflands under the guidance of the Golden and Silver Crowns, healing his home after war and plague swept over it thirteen years before, killing his mother and poisoning the waters.
But when King Edric arrives at Orchard Haven telling him he is the one to wear silver, the gentler hand of ruling, Ambrose understands his life will be yet more complicated–even though a treasure of opportunities has been laid at his bare feet, the chance to expand his ideas from the North to the whole Realm of Rysde, and the perfect excuse to explore his own feelings and wants against the steadfast interest of the charming King.
Stepping into the heart of a Realm still pulling itself together, with his heritage casting shadows and secrets over him, Ambrose has to learn to rule the viper’s nest before the attempts to crush him, his ideas and all he holds dear succeed–the number of vipers biting at his heels isn’t what matters, but Ambrose’s own relationship to the poison.
------
1 - The Apricot
Year 321 RU (Rysde United)
Second week of Late Spring
It was a warm late afternoon when Ambrose decided he fancied an apricot and changed the fate of a Realm.
To be fair, the handsome man with long curly hair wasn't supposed to be there, just napping in the Havenswood under Ambrose's favourite apricot tree. Nobody but him, his father and the gardener with her assistants were allowed in the heart of Orchard Haven.
He paused under the arched threshold, leaning against the smooth white stone. The man–certainly younger than his father, though also older than Ambrose, dark skinned and stubbled and entirely too relaxed under his tree–hadn't heard him arrive.
He fidgeted with his hands, pursing his lips and considering going back to the sunny library painted gold in the early sunset.
He could have an apricot later.
Yet, this was his orchard and the man wasn't supposed to be there.
Dark eyes narrowed, he lifted a pale hand to tug at his coppery curls.
He really wanted that apricot.
Ambrose adjusted the collar and hem of his light blue tunic so that it reached his knees, wished he'd put on shoes and breeches that morning, straightened his shoulders and marched up to the stranger dozing under his tree.
"Good afternoon, sir,” he greeted with practised courtesy. “You shouldn't be here."
The man's eyes twitched, and he opened one, revealing a hazel iris.
"I can go wherever I want in my Realm, boy," he gruffed, low and gravelly, with an amused lilt. He puffed out a breath to move a long dark strand of curly hair from his brow.
Ambrose’s face heated in a furious blush as soon as the man's words sunk in.
"Oh," he whispered, stunned. There was golden embroidery on the man’s red and black tunic, muted by the shadow of the tree. Nobody could wear gold on their clothes but the Monarch of Rysde.
He cleared his throat. "Your Majesty... you are a long way from the capital."
When had he even arrived? The castle perched on the Foxridge would have noticed something like the royal party of King Edric proceeding through the cultivated Clifflands.
"Aye, I've come for you, little lord." The King squinted up at him and grinned. "You’re to be crowned."

New Orleans, Louisiana – City of Voodoo: What to Expect for Halloween 2024
New Orleans is famous for its unique blend of history, mystery, and culture. Known as the “City of Voodoo,” this vibrant city comes alive during Halloween, offering some of the most thrilling and memorable events in the country. For Halloween 2024, New Orleans promises an unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers and culture enthusiasts alike.
The Mystique of Voodoo in New Orleans
The city’s association with Voodoo dates back to the early 18th century, when enslaved Africans brought their spiritual practices to Louisiana. New Orleans’ version of Voodoo has since evolved, becoming a blend of African traditions, Catholicism, and local folklore. Voodoo isn't just an esoteric practice here—it’s a cultural pillar deeply intertwined with the city’s music, cuisine, and festivities.
Marie Laveau, the legendary Voodoo Queen, still captivates the imagination of locals and tourists. Visitors can explore her legacy by visiting her tomb in St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 or participating in the Voodoo rituals and ceremonies that are part of New Orleans’ vibrant history.
Halloween 2024: What to Expect
New Orleans is one of the best cities in the U.S. to celebrate Halloween, thanks to its spooky atmosphere and unique celebrations. Halloween 2024 promises to be more thrilling than ever, with events that blend the city’s historic past with modern-day fun.
1. Krewe of Boo Parade
This annual Halloween parade is a massive street party filled with elaborate floats, live music, and costume contests. The Krewe of Boo Parade will take place in the French Quarter, and it’s a family-friendly event that showcases New Orleans' creative flair. Expect floats themed around local legends, spooky creatures, and, of course, Voodoo.
2. The Mortuary Haunted Mansion

Set in a real mansion that once served as a funeral home, this attraction has a reputation for being one of the scariest haunted houses in the country. For Halloween 2024, the Mortuary Mansion will feature new terrifying scenes and actors, all designed to send shivers down your spine.
3. Voodoo Music + Arts Experience
While Halloween may be associated with scares, New Orleans celebrates with music as well. The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, happening over Halloween weekend, brings together top artists from various genres for an epic festival. Fans of both music and art will enjoy the diverse lineup and immersive installations at City Park. Expect a mix of rock, indie, and electronic music, alongside large-scale art displays that add a mystical vibe to the festival.
4. Ghost and Vampire Tours
New Orleans is a city steeped in ghost stories and legends of vampires. Ghost tours around the French Quarter and Garden District will take you to haunted houses, old cemeteries, and eerie alleyways where spirits are said to linger. Vampire enthusiasts can take specialized tours that dive deep into the folklore of these blood-sucking creatures, believed to have been part of the city's dark past.
5. Voodoo Ceremonies and Rituals
For those looking to immerse themselves in the spiritual aspect of New Orleans, Voodoo ceremonies are held in various parts of the city during Halloween. Visit the Voodoo Museum or join local practitioners in St. Louis Cemetery, where you can witness authentic rituals honoring ancestors and invoking spirits.
Costumes and Culture
Halloween in New Orleans is more than just a night for kids to trick-or-treat. The entire city dresses up, and the streets are filled with people in costumes ranging from the terrifying to the artistic. Whether you're channeling Marie Laveau, dressing as a ghostly pirate, or going all out as a mythical creature, you'll fit right in.
Tips for Enjoying Halloween 2024 in New Orleans:
Book early: Hotels fill up fast, so be sure to book accommodations well in advance.
Bring your costume: Costume shops in New Orleans can help with last-minute ideas, but for the full experience, come prepared.
Stay safe: With the massive crowds, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings, especially if you’re partying in the French Quarter late into the night.

Because I am INSANE here is another Chapter fic I have started featuring Copia and OC Astrid!
We will see where this goes because I have some people telling me include my signature stuff and others who want it left out. Feel free to tell me what you'd like to see in the comments!
Something Blue
Sister of Sin Astrid is anything but excited for Cardinal Copia to return home from tour. As his assistant, she leads a life of monotony and boredom from which she longs for more. When the Cardinal returns, anointed as Papa Emeritus IV, she is faced with an unwanted and unavoidable situation predicated on her family's position within the church. Will Astrid rise to what has been asked of her or will she destroy everything and leave it all behind?
Also available HERE on A03!
Commissions currently closed! They will open up again once I finish editing cosplay photos from my sessions 😅
Anyways here we got ghesties!!!
Below the cut for space
She smoothed over the crisp folds made in her black sheets. Lastly, fluffing up her well-slept on pillows before heading to the refectory. The smell of freshly baked bread was already wafting up the stairs from inside the kitchen—and a dutiful sister was never late for breakfast. Astrid was done up, smug with how well her mascara and eyeliner had come together for a change. Her porcelain pale face–perfectly dewy, with cheeks that blushed a delicate shade of rose. Her habit had been freshly ironed and veil well affixed to her dark navy hair. Carefully selected strands, falling down and framing her face. Adding to her natural beauty as she entered the hall.
Today was a special day for the Abbey. The Cardinal would be returning from tour, and tonight the siblings and clergy would be ripe with celebration. Everyone was preparing for the festivities–not only for this triumphant return, but a special announcement to be made at the night’s celebratory dinner. Despite the expected fanfare, Astrid couldn’t care less about it.
Had it not been for her determination to show Cirrus what she had been missing since their breakup, Astrid would have absent-mindedly gotten drunk and ignored the celebrations all together. Enjoying the spoils so generously donated from Secondo’s stash, much more than rejoicing in the old man’s return. She was the Cardinal’s assistant. Day in and day out, watching him work the finances—a prosaic job bestowed so lovely upon her by the Deacon Patrick. An old friend of the family who so happened to be the head of Sibling Affairs.
She had wanted something exciting to do after officially taking her vows. It was her family’s idea however that she worked with the Cardinal, and of course she couldn’t say no. Ideas and dreams of a more interesting life—crushed with her appointment. There would be no working in the garden with Papa Primo, surrounded by the beauty of exotic flowers and his mystical practices with herbs and spells. Nor would she get the chance to bend down in low-cut garments in front of the Third as she tended to his “needs”.
No, all the potential for something more intriguing, ruined for the sake of giving the old man someone to double check his grammar on expensive reports and verify that budgets reached Sister Imperator in a timely fashion. It was a wonder to her that she hadn’t already gone stark-raving mad. From the moment they gave her the position she longed for more. Disappointed that she was destined to live out her days in monotony. In service to the Ministry and to others, unable to make many choices for herself.
It was unavoidable, almost as much as an Emeritus son's ascension to the Papacy. Astrid’s father was a high clergyman for years before his passing, and her mother too, came from a bloodline that spanned back centuries. A family that helped to found the Satanic church in Italy—now pushing for her to continue her studies and move up within the ranks of the clergy. It was assumed that one day she would become an abbess or even a sister akin to the likes of Sister Imperator. A woman of high regard and power.
Either way, she seemed to be expected to take up a mantle set out for her by a family she barely knew. Astrid was angry that she’d be unable to truly forge a future of her own. Her job with Copia, a reminder of just how tedious and unexciting the Ministry could be. That life for her was meant to be full of hard work and appeasement—masking her own desires.
Copia himself was a kind man and Astrid bore no ill-will toward him. Although she could do without his obsession with his rats and other strange habits. Like the time she caught him riding around his tricycle at 3am—not the sight she expected to see when Cirrus and her had crept downstairs to fool around in the pews. She was ambivalent towards him, more caught up in her own misery than giving him much attention. Not really friends, but friendly one might say–though she could tell that the Cardinal felt differently about her.
She paid it no mind and Copia was too much of a gentleman to bring it up, but It was a relief when Sister Imperator had convinced Papa Nihil to appoint him as head of Ghost, leaving Astrid to be responsibility free for a bit while he was gone. Not only would the desk work be on hold, but Cirrus too would be gone. The break up between them, leaving a bad taste in Astrid’s mouth. One she was glad to be rid of as the tour began.
Today however, they were back. Any minute now, the ghouls of the band along with the Cardinal would arrive and she needed to hurry up if she wanted to stuff something into her face before they returned. When she had finally reached the refectory, Astrid grabbed herself a cappuccino and bowl of granola before sitting down on the bench just at the front of the room. Watching the main entrance from the doorway. Only a few moments passed before the inevitable cracking open of the door.
“Argh why does this shit seem to get heavier every time I have to carry it.” Dew hissed, trying to reposition his pack higher up on his back. His tail, swishing around fast from side to side. A sure sign of annoyance as the other ghouls began filling in behind him.
“Quit your blubbering. We are on break now Dew, no more luggage for a while.” Aether said, rolling his eyes as he lugged in his own bags through the door.
“I don’t have any problem.” laughed Mountain, who picked both Dew and his bags up and walked them further inside. Effortless like he’d lifted a tissue from the ground. The other ghouls laughed a bit as they entered, watching Dew struggling to free himself from Mountain’s grasp. Astrid, almost choking on her coffee as we watched the slinky ghoul drop to the ground.
It was amazing to her just how much like family the ghouls were with each other. She was always envious of how well they got along and just how much they all seemed to truly care about one another. She was also not shy about discovering how well they seemed to all be in the bedroom. Dating Alpha some years back before her and Cirrus had gotten together. She continued watching them as she took her empty bowl to the counter and threw away her napkin, next coming Cumulus and the Cardinal.
Astrid noticed almost immediately something was different about him. Copia seemed happy to be home, which was all together expected, but his smile—it had changed. More confident than she had remembered. He glanced towards her, nodding to acknowledge he’d seen her before Astrid sent back a lackluster nod of her own.
As her eyes shifted away, she caught sight of Cirrus walking inside. The tour seemed to have done wonders for her. The ghoulette’s ashen skin glowing as she wrapped her arm around Sunshine, kissing her fully and deep as they walked inside. The two of them giggling together like they’d spent the whole tour held up in bed. Astrid’s blood began to boil at the sight. Her anger and jealousy seething through every pore.
She took off out of her seat, rushing through the entryway to the refectory and down the hall towards the chapel. Copia watched, listening to the conversation of the ghouls and a few of the siblings that had come to greet them at the door. He could feel something was wrong. Though Astrid had never allowed him to get close, it didn’t take a genius to see the pain in her eyes.
“Everything ok Papa.” Aether asked, noticing the concerned look on Copia’s face. He handed his bag over to Aether, as the ghoul insisted, and gave him a small smile before speaking.
“I—ah…I think I will go check on Sister Astrid. She seems upset.” he explained.
“Ha la Luna storta. I wouldn’t worry about it.” chimed in Marcus, a brother of sin who had been waiting for them to return. Copia started to walk off, watching as Astrid disappeared towards the chapel.
“Papa, Sister Imperator is expecting you in her office.” Rain reminded him. Copia waved his hand to shrug off Rain’s concern. He needed to know what had the sister so upset.
“No worries…I will head up there soon Rain…” he assured them as he took off towards the chapel.
How dare she move on so fast…fucking bitch. Glad I was just so easily replaced, Astrid raged. Her knees hitting the hassock as she began to pray for strength. Lucifer knows she didn’t want Cirrus back. The sister’s affections for the ghoulette, waning fast over the course of their rather dysfunctional relationship. But the idea of her moving on so easily, however, really pissed Astrid off.
She felt herself begin to cry. The eye make-up she had prided herself on, beginning to run down her cheeks as she failed to hold them back. Just behind her was the sound of the door. A small creak that echoed gently in the room, alerting her to another’s presence.
Astrid quickly wiped away the tears and pulled herself up onto the seat of the pew. Her heart, racing as she prepared for the worst. Hoping that Cirrus hadn’t followed her in. That no one had seen her losing her grip.
“Cara mia?” A familiar voice spoke, as a warm body took its place beside her. Astrid looked over to see Copia sitting there. His face, full of concern and empathy.
“It’s nothing, Cardinal. How was the tour?” she asked, hoping that Copia would be too polite to push further.
“Glorious cara, there is truly nothing like it. The ghouls and I have grown quite close over the past 2 years. I honestly am very excited to do it again once I have had a chance to work on the next album of course.” he smiled.
“Oh wow…I’m surprised that the clergy were that impressed, but they must be if they are letting you do another tour cycle.” Astrid said innocently. All the frontmen of Ghost she had seen were Papas after retirement. Terzo was the last and then Copia was chosen reportedly as a last stitch effort to mix things up by Sister Imperator who felt the Emeritus sons weren’t pulling in enough support for the Dark Lord.
“Ah yes well…” Copia began, Astrid sensing that her words could be taken as an insult. She wasn’t the best at thinking before speaking.
“Sorry Cardinal I didn’t mean to—”
“It’s alright Astrid, I take no offense. Anyways I am happy to be home for now. I missed you while on tour.” he told her, trying to change the subject–his words still however very much true.
“Oh? Why is that?” she laughed.
“Well there was no one there to make sarcastic comments or joke around with me—except Dew and Aether, but if I am being honest cara, I prefer your humor.” he explained, his words warm and comforting.
“Heh…well then, I missed you too.” Astrid sniffled, no longer caring if the Cardinal knew the real reason she had come to the chapel. He was a compassionate man after all and, following his kind words, she felt she could confess her sin. Be absolved by him in some way to help her make it through the night’s celebrations.
“Cardinal…”
“Sister Astrid…”
“The real reason I came in here…well…it’s because of Cirrus. I'm angry and I needed to be alone.” she admitted, Copia’s brows raising up on high his forehead with her words.
“Cirrus? I thought things were—”
“They are… they have been. I just…I just didn’t think she’d move on so soon.”
“Ah, si…I understand. This thing between her and Sunshine is making you feel insecure, eh?” he asked her. How astute he was, a trait that both impressed and irritated Astrid to the core. She narrowed her gaze, unable to hide her discontent from Copia, she then turned to face away. Staring forward at the large stone grucifix that sat atop the sanctuary.
“I’m just tired of feeling unimportant.” she sighed, once again wiping away tears.
“You are not unimportant cara. I certainly need you.” Copia laughed a bit, trying to lighten the mood. His comment made no difference to Astrid. She was mad and hurt, nothing he was going to say would change it. He didn’t want him to be upset either but being unable to help. Astrid, beginning to feel as though she shouldn’t have said anything.
“Yeah.” was all she could muster, becoming quiet as the two of them sat together in the pews.
“Well…While I know this won’t make your pain go away sister, you are very much needed.” Copia smiled, reaching over to touch her hand. Astrid instinctively tensed, looking over to him confusedly.
“Cardinal—” she began before Copia cut her off.
“Shhh…Astrid. I will share a secret with you, ok? But you must tell no one until after dinner tonight.” Copia whispered, his head swiveling around to make sure the two of them were truly alone. Astrid’s demeanor changed. Finally, something exciting, even if it was a small secret between her and her boss.
“Promise, my lips are sealed.” she promised. Copia smiled once again and began to look a bit nervous. Astrid, growing more intrigued by the second. Finally, after what felt like hours, even if it had only been a minute, he told her.
“I am now Papa. As of now I am Papa Emeritus the Fourth.”
When Copia had left Astrid in the chapel, she was floored. As he shut the door behind him, leaving at the behest of Aether and Rain, she couldn’t believe it. How? Why? They made Copia…Papa?
The choice to her seemed to be completely out of left field. Copia was a smart man, but different from the others. He wasn’t even Papa Nihil’s son so how could he be an “Emeritus”. None of it made sense, but in true Astrid fashion her thoughts immediately went to how it would impact her. Would she have to change positions, or would she now be a Papal assistant?
The thoughts of Copia ascending now thrilling her. If she were to be Papa’s assistant that would open up way more opportunities for things like travel and parties and excitement. Astrid was all but giddy now with the news, hoping that it would play out like she’d envisioned in her mind.
As she left the chapel, she decided the evening couldn’t come fast enough. Now there would be cause for celebration and the night hadn’t been completely ruined by seeing Cirrus after all. She took off back to the dorms. Wanting to pick out an outfit for such a special occasion—having the insider information no one else had, when she was stopped by the Deacon on her way in.
“Sister Astrid.” he said as he stood in front of the door. A tall man, thin and sharp looking in his Diaconal vestments. Black alb and stole. His black dalmatic adorned in red grucifixes along its center. Clearly he had been conferred his position during the time of Papa Emeritus the First’s reign.
“Deacon Patrick, for what do I owe the honor?” she asked, laughing a bit under her breath. He was like an uncle to her. Her mother, off overseas with her second husband, leaving the Deacon to watch over her like a second father.
“I am to fetch you and bring you to Sister Imperator’s office at once agnellino.” he smiled back, walking over and wrapping his arm over her shoulder, mindful of the fall of her veil.
“Oh? That's strange.” Astrid hummed, hoping it had to do with Copia’s new appointment…and she was right.
When she walked into Sister’s office, she was hit with a chill. She had half a mind to think it was Sister herself causing it. The woman always was standoffish and all together cold to those who resided beneath her in station. When she rounded the chairs facing the desk, she saw Copia already sitting in one, anxiously stroking his mustache as both her and the Deacon took their seats.
The three of them sat together in silence for several minutes. All looking toward one another but never speaking. “I hope I haven’t kept you all waiting long.” came a voice from behind them. Astrid immediately recognized it as Sister’s, though she was used to it being a bit more like a bark than the calm tone it was today.
“Not at all. We have only just arrived, though I can’t speak for Papa.” the Deacon laughed, bowing his head in reverence towards Copia. Copia only nodded back, still looking anxious—almost child-like in Sister’s presence.
“Good…ah! I see you’ve brought with you Sister Astrid.” she beamed, a cold chill shooting down the young sister’s spine. It was unnerving to see her excited about something and the way she reacted immediately to seeing her, set Astrid on edge.
“Of course Sister, I was told you asked to see me?”
“Yes…I am so glad you came. Well then, I don’t see any sense in resting on ceremony. I wanted to have this little meeting to discuss things prior to dinner this evening as it will be on the minds and, I'm sure, the lips of every sibling before sundown.” Her words, puzzling the three of them.
“You mean Copia becoming Papa?” Deacon Patrick asked.
“Well of course that…but there’s something else I needed to discuss specifically with you two.” she explained staring straight at Copia and Astrid. Copia’s eyes widened, it had to be something big for her to be carrying on like this. Astrid could feel her heart beginning to pound as she waited to hear whatever it was the Sister would tell them.
“Yes Sister, go on with it then please.” Copia asked, trying still to find his voice when it came to her.
“Yes…As Papa Emeritus the Fourth there are obligations to be upheld as I am sure you are all aware. This was not a decision made lightly by the Ministry, but with Papa Nihil’s other sons all having a go at it and still managing to fall short…changes needed to be made.”
“Am I missing something here Sister? You make it sound as if—” the Deacon began before Sister Imperator cut him off.
“As if Copia is Nihil’s son? That is because he is Patrick. Copia is Nihil and MY son.” Sister proclaimed. Astrid and Deacon Patrick audibly gasped, jaws hitting the proverbial floor with the revelation.
“So that means…” Astrid said, trying to work it all out in her overwhelmed state.
“That means that he is the rightful next heir to the miter and always has been because of his birthright. Copia has known for some time, but now it will become common knowledge since I am sure since the ghouls don’t know how to keep their mouths shut. That being said, it brings me to you Sister Astrid.
“What about her?” the Deacon asked.
“Well you see because of his new position we are now in need of some other adjustments to her position as well.” Sister Imperator continued. This was it, Astrid thought to herself. Finally she would be getting in on some excitement. Hoping to kiss the paperwork goodbye, leaving it behind for something greater.
“I am very excited to hear that.” Astrid nodded. Sister smiled back at her, sitting down at her desk before steepling her fingers.
“Cardi—Papa. Now that you have ascended it is by both mine and the Ministry’s judgment that you be betrothed, acquiring a Prime Mover.”
“I’m sorry, a what?” Copia asked her. The Sister took in a deep breath, looking directly at Astrid. All three of them—Copia, Astrid, and the Deacon sat pupils blown, waiting for her to continue.
“A Prime Mover Copia—a wife. One day you will be expected to carry on the Papal line. None of the others are in a position to oblige and that leaves the task to you.” Sister explained. Copia lowered his head, looking into his lap accepting what she was saying to him with a nod. Both Astrid and the Deacon left in shock.
“Oh you can’t mean.” Astrid began, realizing now what her new position was supposed to be.
“You have been chosen by the ministry to be Copia’s Prime Mover. The two of you will be wed within the next few weeks, once things have settled down a bit and we have had a chance to plan things out.” Sister said, flipping through some paperwork on her desk. Immediately both the Copia and Astrid stood up from their chairs.
“Sister, I am not sure Sister Ast—” Copia protested, knowing that despite his own feelings, Astrid had not once given him any indication she’d felt the same.
“This has to be a joke?!” Astrid snapped, her blood running cold with madness. How dare they just decide who she would marry, that she would bear children—that she’d be stuck playing Suzy homemaker with the awkward tricyclist of an old man.
“I assure you it is not a joke Sister. You and Copia will be wed by the end of the Autumnal Equinox. Is that understood!” Sister Imperator hissed back, her force like a knife held to everyone’s throat. Both Copia and the Deacon stared at Astrid, awaiting what she’d say next.
“I—I can’t.” she cried, running from her chair and out the door of the office. Tears pouring forth like rain in a storm. Her heart aching and her mind swirling with anger. Copia got up from his seat, nodding to the Deacon as he attempted to make his own way out.
“And just where do you think you are going?” Sister Imperator asked him, eyebrow cocked and smug look on her face.
“I am going to talk to her. She is meant to be my bride Sister, is she not?” he said sharply. Sister only nodded to him as he left on his way to talk to Astrid—his bride to be.

I wanna know what hobbies the folks in the royalty au have. Fun facts. What do these bitches do without internet.
Well most of them do the same things they do normally, just with different context.
With the Western Kingdom being all the about the arts, entertainment, and expression, Cole's hobbies include dancing, listening to music, painting, and drawing—he'd normally be pretty chill and just vibing, if his father wasn't so gung-ho about getting him hitched. And being depressed about that on top of having limited time anymore anyway has deterred Cole from doing things for himself (which is something Jesse seeks to rectify). Also enjoys sleeping, but like, that's not a hobby, Cole.
Always constantly busy with his job(s), Jay doesn't have a lot of free time either, but he's still able to pursue a lot of his craftier hobbies, like poetry writing, cooking, and he doesn't invent so much as "improve" upon things that may or may not need to be fixed. Let's just say he's a guy ahead of his time...and is something of an adrenaline junkie when allowed to be.
Instead of being a journalist/papergirl/extreme cyclist, Antonia likes horseback riding! She also does still like to write stories, which helps occupied some dead time while guarding the boring garden gate, but they're less based on facts/rumors and more on just general goings-on around the castle.......so, Jesse and the Spring Festival are a fantastic source of inspiration for her. Also tries to learn to paint after getting closer with Cole (and inadvertently gives Jay the idea for a mystical object called a 'camera').
Can't remember if I've mentioned this in-story yet (all I know is that Cole doesn't know yet lol), but Jesse's actually a citizen of the Central Kingdom—the real (or, initial) reason he went West was in the hopes of making it big as a magic entertainer. So whenever he's not tending to the gardens or swooning over Cole, he's practicing his magic tricks (another reason why Antonia takes to him—he's really good at beating out boredom). He also likes to sing, but, he's gotta be in a really good mood for that. Also, not technically a dedicated hobby, but he does enjoy baking, even if he doesn't like to admit it (he just needs to right motivation...like a very hungry prince).
In the Southern Kingdom, they're all about agriculture and trade, so while I wouldn't call it a "hobby", Kai and Nya are both extremely skilled in farming, negotiations, and economics (Nya moreso with the farming and Kai moreso with the business). But for fun, Nya likes to spend time on the beaches watching (read: talking to) sea life or collecting shells, while Kai likes to travel if/when he can, as he likes to experience more than just his kingdom. Both of them also have a knack for crafting weapons—Kai by forging and Nya...more as crazy DIY projects, also maybe a bit ahead of her time. Nya also likes horseback riding and Kai likes jogging.
In the Northern Kingdom, they have a strong foundation in battle maneuvers and tactical strategy, so a younger Zane found himself doing a lot of studying while being trained with several weapons. He now has a fondness for archery and darts (but with throwing stars), and can easily pass the time with a nice informative book. He also enjoys bird watching like Aurora, and venturing through the forest until he gets lost, but otherwise is actually quite lonely.
...until Samurai X shows up. They're originally from Central as well, but their father and Zane's parents are acquaintances, so one thing led to another with them becoming Zane's retainer. They enjoy playing things like chess and other board games with Zane, and sparring with him, but for the duration of most the story they don't really have a lot of personal stake in much of anything.
The Eastern Kingdom is the home of most of the world's history (along with Central), so being well-read is already par for the course. What isn't common is the dabbling of magic, which is where Harumi's passions lie, especially after discovering Jesse has magic of a similar source. She reads up on ancient artifacts, studies spells, keeps a pet spider, and teaches herself to throw knives, but otherwise, she's a dreadfully bored person, and that's why she has little hesitation in butting herself into other people's problems. That's entertainment.
Lloyd, despite his well-behaved behavior to avoid trouble, has a nasty habit of pulling pranks around the otherwise structured Central Kingdom and eventually the Spring Festival (activities which are very much enabled by his retainers, and ofc praised by his father). He does this because he's good at it and hates to let a well-honed skill go to waste, and it's also something of a cry for attention. He also becomes interested in the cultures of the other Kingdoms, including but not limited to the art/stories of the west, the weapon aspects of the north and south, and the history of the east, like his mother. He also enjoys paragliding (which is something that Jay got him hooked on).
You may think visiting the Archipelago is like arriving on some tropical vacation, but the only one being entertained is its current ruler. He puts on tournaments just for sport of it, and will banish anyone for doing anything he doesn't agree with...so, Skylor doesn't have a lot of room to do very much, but on the flipside, it also means she's down for anything/everything when given a chance, as just about everything is new to her (which is what draws her to Kai and the other royals to begin with). Though one thing she is a bit guilty about enjoying is her younger self partaking in those tournaments herself—primarily due to the rush from the fact that she's never lost (and especially not to Chad).

Risetober 2023: Day 26 - Frankenfoot
Unsurprisingly, being a mystic soldier made out of literal paper meant Frankenfoot had limited options for what he could do.
He couldn’t swim, go outside in the rain, walk near any scissors or open flame, and typically couldn’t travel to the surface to explore New York (not that he really wanted to).
Frankenfoot was complacently content with sparring with his buddies and living solely in the sewers.
Mikey, however, noticed some of his odd tendencies. The pacing, the distant look in his eyes, how sad he became when he was left alone. Even if he didn’t notice it himself, Frankenfoot was caged in.
The young turtle went to Raph and, with the assistance of his oldest brother, planned a surprise.
A nearby botanical garden had a costume night set up at a pumpkin patch, the perfect outing for two turtles and a paper person to blend in to.
When they arrived that evening, Frankenfoot quickly partook in the festivities with his friends, giving the both of them a piggyback ride, something Raph had not experienced in a long time due to his comparative size to his brothers and something Mikey absolutely enjoyed. They were quickly skipping through the pumpkin patch, frolicking through a corn maze, getting lost in said corn maze, a certified great time.

TM: Seahaven Territory
Pearl Hub: A natural hub with crystal-clear waters and surrounded by corals. Pearl Harbor serves as a central hub for trade, fishing, and social gatherings. The harbor is has plenty luminescent pearls, making it a highly romantic place for couples.
Danger Abyss: A deep trench marking the boundary of Seahaven territory. Cats are warned to avoid venturing too close to the Abyssal Abyss due to its dangerous depths and unknown sea creatures that lurk within. There is a known urban legend that deeper into the trench is where all souls of fallen Seafolk reside.
Mystic Gardens: Lush underwater gardens filled with vibrant sea flora and exotic plants. Mystic Gardens serve as a recreational space for Seahaven cats to socialize, relax, enjoy the beauty of their underwater surroundings, and collect all healing herbs.
Dance Cove: A sheltered cove where dolphins frequently gather to play. Seahaven cats hold a special bond with these marine creatures, and the Dance Cove is a popular spot for socializing, storytelling, and playful interactions with the dolphins. The dolphins give caught prey to the Kinship, and in return they offer protection for their family.
Siren's Song Reef: A coral reef with unique formations that emit a harmonious hum when the currents pass through. Seahaven cats believe this reef holds a spiritual connection to their ancestors and often visit to seek guidance and inspiration.
Stormdrift Arena: An open arena located near the ocean surface where Seahaven cadets engage in combat training. Stormdrift Arena provides a challenging environment with ever-changing currents, helping cats develop agility and adaptability in battle, and with a sandy surface that prevents bruises. The arena is named after Stormdrift, a known Sentinel in the Kinship who sacrificed himself to save a litter of cubs.
Moonlit Lagoon: A shallow lagoon illuminated by the glow of bioluminescent plankton during the night. Seahaven cats gather at the Moonlit Lagoon for nighttime festivities and due to the plenty of fish who gather around the lagoon at night, making way for exotic, rare species which only come out at night.
Kelp Forest: A dense kelp forest that serves as a hunting ground for Seahaven cats. The kelp provides cover for stealthy approaches, and its abundance attracts a variety of prey.
Abyssal Shrine: Nestled beneath the waves, the Seahaven's Abyssal Shrine is adorned with corals and pearls. Many religious songs are sung here during times of prayer.

hello! I'm back!
I spent most of the last week in NOLA for the Overlook Film Festival, and it was the best time I've had in literal ages. I met so many great people, including three directors, an art director, and an actress, and I got to be ten feet away from Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel! it was truly the greatest long weekend ever; still can't believe it's over.
gonna briefly talk about the movies I got to see, though! most of these have upcoming wide release dates, and you should definitely check them out, if you're able!
CUCKOO (2024) dir. Tilman Singer: Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens lead this really fun, batshit scream-fest that was sooooo queer (thematically and textually) to me. Dan Stevens should always play weird little guys with musical instruments. whatever you think this movie is about: no, it probably isn't. not every beat lands, but the ones that do are pretty damn good. it's going to wide release in August!
ALL YOU NEED IS DEATH (2024) dir. Paul Duane: an Irish folk horror propelled forward by a metal soundtrack interwoven with haunting ballads, and an awakening of something ancient and devastating. described by Duane as a "vibe movie" in the vein of Kurosawa's PULSE and CURE with hints of Żuławski's POSSESSION, it touches on themes of obsession and love and consumption, and mysticism of forgotten pasts. I've still got the music and imagery stuck in my head. the movie will be available to rent digitally soon, and will be going to a currently unnamed streaming service later this year. (thanks for the Q&A, Paul and actress Catherine Siggins! your passion for the project was utterly infectious, and can't wait to see that next film that Paul said is going to "piss a lot of people off"!)
OCULUS (2014) dir. Mike Flanagan: 10th Anniversary Screening & Presentation of the 2024 Master of Horror Award: this plays so well in a packed house that I upped by LBX rating by half a star. the Q&A afterwards made me appreciate the movie (bleakness and all) even more, because I got to listen to Mike Flanagan talk about how he feels he's improved as a storyteller, and how just making anything is invigorating, even if you sort of cringe to look back on some things. his shout-outs about LAKE MUNGO and DOCTOR WHO were for me specifically. oh, also, hashtag ONEMOREDOG for Kate! (thanks for the Q&A, Mike! hope you got the big axe award home okay! get Kate a second dog!)
LOOKING OVER THE GARDEN WALL: a 10th Anniversary Celebration of OVER THE GARDEN WALL (2014) created by Patrick McHale: show creator Patrick McHale and art director Nick Cross came by to tell us all about their work prior to collaborating, and how the show came to be through a process that, they hoped, would create an immensely re-watchable holiday classic. we even got to see McHale's first student film, and Cross' work for a local film festival back in the 00s, and a screening of TOME OF THE UNKNOWN, the original pilot for OTGW. (thanks for the Q&A, Mike and Nick, and for the autographs and doodles afterwards! your work continues to entertain my household every fall.)
ME (2024) dir. Don Hertzfeldt: director Hertzfeldt requested that everyone go into this with as little information as possible, so I'm going to be vague here. this is wildly different from his previous work (IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY, WORLD OF TOMORROW, etc.) in presentation, that I couldn't help but just sort of sit and marvel at it. it's so experimental and unique, and I can't stop thinking about it. (heard from the man's own mouth:) the short film will be paired with a remastered theatrical re-release of IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY (2012) sometime in the next month! (thanks for the Q&A, Don, and for the chat we shared afterwards. your work is immensely important to me, and I feel very lucky to have been able to tell you so. sorry I got a little weepy, and for making you weepy, too. very proud to have been dubbed "the gateway drug" for your work. also stoked for your project with Ari Aster! I'll be front-row when it releases!)
I SAW THE TV GLOW (2024) dir. Jane Schoenbrun: similar to the above description, this is a different and more traditional presentation compared to Shoenbrun's debut feature, creepypasta-inspired WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR (2021). TV GLOW is a slow-burn queer (specifically trans) odyssey filled to the brim with painstakingly recreated 90s TV aesthetics, haunting abstract imagery, and an aura that carried echoes of Lynch's Black Lodge (TWIN PEAKS). the ending is a sucker-punch to the gut paired with some incredible but heartbreaking Cronenberg-style body horror. I spent more time bone-deep sad than I did scared, but that's what I love so much about horror: it can make you feel anything and everything in such extremes, that it can leave you breathless. the movie will be releasing in theaters next month, and I highly recommend seeing it in a theater if you can!
the festival was seriously one of the greatest experiences of my life--like a sleepaway camp that I never wanted to end. I WILL be going again, when I'm able! thanks to everyone (volunteer staff, programmers, vendors, fans, artists) who made my first film festival so fucking amazing. I'll love you all forever~ 👻🪓🍿✨

@tofeelthecold ! MARY & DAMON .
the town’s festivals , mary had discovered , were still raging on , and each time bigger than the last one under the Lockwood tutelage . this one , particularly , she was rather fond of , as once upon a time she’d been the one to gather all the women for the project , and taken out of her own reserves to organize it all : the spring - flower festival . off the season change , but right when everything actually bloomed . she’d always had a knack for everything - green , the garden when she lived ... properly lived , it was always filled with beauty , along with the greenhouse . for the gardens , giuseppe had insisted on having a gardener to help along , afterall the land was rather vast , but the greenhouse was solely her space , and she adored it . the festival was bustling with life , teenagers with flower crowns , boyfriends dragged along , others more willing , old couples and children reunited in the town square . her own shop had been summoned by Carol to contribute to the festivity , and of course she'd agreed in good humours .
truth be told , mary didn't frequent mystic falls . it was dreadful to barely find things that she could recall , and if she did they would just turn ----- painful carcasses of a life that she'd been robbed of . but she could be there for her own festival , handing carnations and forget - me - not's to the passerbys , peonies to the lovers , lillies to the lonely . with a forget - me - not in hand , she turned on her heels without much thought and tended the flower to the next person , " forget - me - not --- ? " for a moment , she was transfixed . her mouth went dry . IT COULDN'T BE . suddenly dizzy , the witch took half a step back to regain her step , and rebuilt her faltering smile . " it's ... any lovely lady would love it . " the flower out of her hand , she turned around again , back to this --- spectre that had come to haunt her . sometimes , she thought , it seemed she'd actually lost her mind all those years alone in the constant loop .
#mary : O-O#also if u want me to change Anything pls tell me !!#she could be giving the flower to him or just - have seen him obvi#* mary salvatore.#* mary salvatore: interaction.#tofeelthecold#tofeelthecold: mary & damon.
