It's a day-after reblog! I actually did muzak for once so check it out.

03/09/2018 1901 – “Evil_Enchantress”

Sooo that recording music and uploading on a consistent basis thing? Yeah never heard of it. It’s been a long while but finally, FINALLY I got around to recording and uploading some muzak. FUCKING FINALLY.

But yes! Over the weekend I got yet another random piece of muzak equipment (shock horror, I know). This time it was a Twisted-Electrons Acid8, which is a really rad TB-303 style synth that is basically an 8-bit chiptune-ey synth with a 303-style interface. It’s pretty fucking radical. So what does a silly husky like myself do? Simple, pair it with my Volca Sample and make silly techno/electro nonsense of course! Go me.

also you can probably guess where I got the name and the sample from in this. At least where the sample came from before I horrifically grinded it through a vocoder, heh

You know, to go along with me posting some Nitzer Ebb on here; a while back I actually had someone on YouTube compare me to them. On my song "Hipster_Wolf" they commented on it saying "Nitzer Ebb 2018" or something to that effect.

... at the time I had no idea what they meant since I had never heard of the band. But now that I'm listening to their stuff (and really digging it might I add)? Now I consider that probably one of the best damn compliments I've ever received on my music.

Here’s another piece, this time a bit more recent. I wrote this after having the main fragment stuck in my head for a while. It’s largely minimalist in style and I aimed at exploring interesting duration and metre in it.

"Sing For Me"

I'm standing on the edge of a cliff. The sea stretches before me, its waves crashing onto the beach below. The cliff has bushes and edgy stones scattered randomly. The weather is grey, the serene kind of grey with a touch of blue and golden. The breeze gently caresses my face.

Out of nowhere, He appears in front of me. He's far in the ocean, taking the place of the mighty setting sun on the horizon. His beautiful red smile, His innocent and loving round eyes, His unusually divine red and black garments—Lord Jagannath looks at me from afar in all His glory. I'm dumbstruck by His sudden appearance. My eyes widen, and my hands clasp my mouth as tears of pure bliss and joy run down my cheeks. I'm unable to say anything. He, too, remains silent; the smile on His face only grows wider.

After a while, He breaks the comfortable silence. He calls me by my name and says, "Uhh, sing me a song." I snap out of the ethereal trance He'd put me in and mumble, "Huh?" He says, "Sing me any song that comes to your mind for me." His voice starts as that of a middle-aged man, but it slowly transforms into that of a young man. "B-But, I don't sing well! And I don't wanna mess up," I say, stuttering and wiping my tears. He chuckles. Oh, that moment! "You can never mess up in front of me. If not for me, then who will you sing for?" He says gently, teasing me with his smile.

The waterworks start again as I prepare myself. I sing and sway to the tunes of the song "କଳା ଠାକୁର" (trans. 'Dark-skinned Lord). It's an Odia bhajan wherein the devotee is basically simping for Him. (GO LISTEN TO IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY)

Annnnnd thus, I wake up from one of THE best dreams of my life 🥹

Istg, a few days before this dream, I'd written to Him that I'd LOVE to sing for Him someday (yeah, I write letters to Him, staph). And then He does this.

HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO NOT FALL FOR THIS MAGNIFICENT MAN?!
