The Cat and Dog Game [Chapter 8]
Genre: Romance, Fluff, Comedy
Pairing: Yunho x Reader (y/n)
Characters: Chef!Reader, RestaurantOwner!Yunho, MaitreD!Hongjoong, Waiter!Yeosang, Waiter!San, Waiter!Mingi, SousChef!Seonghwa, SousChef!Wooyoung, PrepChef!Jongho
Summary: Yunho's dream was to open and run his own restaurant. But he doesn't know anything when it comes to cooking. Until you came along and accepted the job, bringing with you a small crew. How will the black cat tame the energetic golden retriever?
Word count: 3.3K
Yunho had a pep in his step as he came back to the restaurant on Friday morning. He was excited to come back to work so he arrived earlier. Yesterday felt weird to not go into the restaurant to work.
"(y/n)?" He poked his head in. You were alone and had your AirPods on, listening to music as you worked on whatever was in front of you. You hadn't heard him come in. Yunho blinked and stepped forward, tapping your shoulder lightly.
"Who-" You jumped back in fear, as if you were afraid of getting attacked. Yunho flinched also, surprised by your fearful reaction.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Yunho fully bowed in apology.
"It's fine. I didn't hear you come in with my music playing." You frowned slightly, removing your AirPods and tucking them away. Yunho cleared his throat.
"Where are the others?" Yunho asked as he went to put his bag and coat in the locker room.
"I told them to sleep in a little. Sometimes, working in peace and quiet is what I need." You replied, mixing the pie batter in the bowl.
"I understand." Yunho nodded. You couldn't help but involuntarily snort at that, did he really understand what you meant? He seemed like someone who likes to surround himself with noise and other people, someone who doesn't like to be alone or for the environment to be too quiet.
"Hang on, let me make a coffee." Yunho said and went out to make himself a macchiato. At the same time, he made you an iced americano, bringing the cups into the kitchen.
"Thank you. Are you hungry?" You asked as you wiped your hands on your apron towel and took a sip before you went into the walk in.
"I guess?" Yunho blinked in confusion.
"I'll make you a sandwich." You came back out with a prep tray of items. You unwrapped the paper and there was a chunk of what looked like beef in the middle.
"What's that?" He came next to you, leaning to see as you used your knife to shave off slices of the meat.
"It's salt beef. Or corned beef. I made it yesterday for Seonghwa and got it ready this morning to give out." You explained.
"Here." You handed him a slice to try.
"Mmm! It's good." Yunho's eyes widened as he ate it. When he thought corned beef, his brain could only think of that chunk of meat that comes in a can. He didn't think that it was the processed version of this piece of meat in front of him.
"This is rye bread, Russian dressing, swiss cheese and sauerkraut. It's like a fermented, pickled cabbage." You showed him each component as you stacked the sandwich.
"Then we grill it to make a sandwich, a reuben sandwich." You pressed the sandwich onto a hot pan until the cheese melted and the bread toasted.
"It looks so good!" Yunho clapped his hands excitedly. When you took it off the pan, you sliced it down the middle.
"There you go, a reuben sandwich." You slid it to him. Yunho took his phone out to take a picture first.
He picked up the sandwich and took a big bite. The crunch of the bread with all the components, the sauerkraut cutting the creamy dressing and cheese, it was amazing.
"This is amazing." Yunho melted, leaning his elbows on the table as he savoured the taste.
As he enjoyed the sandwich, you went back to preparing the pastries and cakes for the day. You would occasionally glance over at Yunho eating his sandwich. Honestly, you had no idea why you felt so much anticipation making the sandwich for him. Maybe because you've been quite amused by his reactions to food so far.
"I'm glad you like it." You said, turning around to mix the muffin batter. Yunho smiled softly as he looked at the back of your head. It warmed his heart that this was you starting to open up to him.
"This thing... sauerkraut? How do you make it?" Yunho asked.
"It's actually really easy. You shred the cabbage and massage it with salt until the water comes out then you let it pickle with it's own natural bacteria and enzymes." You informed.
"So I'm guessing you made this?" He held up a strand of the pickled cabbage. You nodded your head.
"Well, I'm sad that this is my last bite." He pouted, staring at the small piece of sandwich that was left in his hands.
"You can always learn to make it yourself then make more." You replied.
"Speaking of, is there anything I can help you with? Since you're doing this on your own." Yunho straightened up, going to the sink to wash his hands and the plate the he used.
"The boys are coming in 30 minutes. But you can still help." You shrugged. He nodded, going to the locker room to retrieve a spare apron. After tying the string around his waist, he pulled his sleeves up and washed his hands again.
"Okay, chef! What do I do?" Yunho saluted with a big smile as he jogged over to where you were.
"We're going to make the coffee crumb cake. Measure all this into here while I make the crumb that goes in the middle and on top." You pointed on the recipe sheet and all the ingredients he needed.
"I can do that." He grinned and started measuring each component. You had taken out the ingredients earlier so he didn't need to retrieve them.
"Where is the coffee in the coffee cake?"
"There is actually no coffee in coffee cake. It's just meant to go well with a cup of coffee." You replied, mixing the crumb ingredients together with your fingers.
"That's... confusing..." He laughed. You hummed in agreement. You looked over to see how he was managing.
There was a small frown on his face as he checked the weighing scale for each ingredient, he chewed on his bottom lip, focussed on trying to get the exact weight of everything. You could tell he was frustrated when he was even 0.1g over what was needed. He would carefully add and remove each minute amount.
"Done!" He showed you the bowl. You told him which ingredients to put together, standing with him at the mixer to let him add the ingredients in.
"Once the sour cream, butter and sugar are whipped together and it looks fluffy and airy. Slowly add the eggs." You instructed. Yunho tried his best to follow your instructions. He didn't want to mess up.
"No shell." He said proudly, cracking the eggs into the small bowl and adding them in.
"Should I do the flour little by little?"
"Yes, maybe in batches of 3. Lower the speed of the mixer or it will go everywhere." You advised him. He did exactly as told, watching in amazement as he made the cake batter.
"I've never done this before. Or rather, my mum always said I made a mess so I wasn't alloewd to do much." He sighed.
"You've been keeping your area neat so far." You shrugged, continuing to mix with crumb with your hands to ensure you got the right consistency. You tasted it to make sure that the taste and texture wa right before going to wash your hands.
"That's good." You said. You took the bowl from the mixer and scraped down the sides. Then you grabbed the cake tin and layered the two components.
"Let me help." Yunho held the bowl of batter for you to guide it into the pan. After smoothing it, you put a layer of crumb.
"Ooh, like a filling?" He asked, watching you crumble the crumb evenly over the batter.
"Yes, so we cover this with the remaining batter and more crumb." You said, putting more batter on top of the middle layer of crumb. Then you put a final layer of crumb over the top.
You repeated the step for the other cake tin and put the cakes into the oven to bake.
"Morning, (y/n)." Seonghwa, Wooyoung and Jongho came in.
"Hey." You greeted, putting the used dishes together. The 3 were surprised to see Yunho already there with an apron, standing beside you, ready to take on whatever task you assigned. From the flour stains on his apron, they guessed that you had let him help with with whatever you were doing.
"Look at you being so hardworking." Wooyoung wrapped his arms around you to squish you into a hug. You scrunched your nose lightly, body stiff but you didn't push him away.
"Did you sleep?" Seonghwa asked softly, a hand on your head. He didn't ask if you slept well, he asked if you slept at all.
"I did, Hwa. Don't worry. Your salt beef is in the fridge." You informed. Seonghwa's eyes widened in excitement.
"You didn't..."
"I did." You nodded. Seonghwa left you and immediately headed for the walk in. He came back out with the piece of salt beef that you had used earlier.
"See? You should get a meat slicer so we don't have to manually slice it anymore." Jongho chuckled.
"If you can find anymore space in my kitchen to put an industrial meat slicer, go ahead, Jong." You rolled your eyes. Wooyoung was still glued to your side, his arms around your waist as he leaned his head on your shoulder tiredly.
Yunho watched this exchange quietly. You were really so different when you were around familiar people. Not only were you more relaxed, there was a little bit more playfulness in the way you spoke.
"Okay, get to work." You said, patting Wooyoung on the hip. He went to get his apron.
"What has been done?" He asked.
"Muffins and coffee crumb cake are in the oven. Chicken & leek pie filling is done, pastry has not been rolled out and blind baked. I was getting Yunho started on the financier batter."
"Are you getting more comfortable around the kitchen?" Seonghwa asked Yunho, chewing on a slice of salt beef.
"Thanks for (y/n)!" He replied enthusiastically. You raised your eyebrows at his reply.
"Hwa, stop eating and get to work. You can make your sandwich later." You scolded. Seonghwa laughed and covered the meat back up with the paper wrapping, putting it back into the walk in. He washed his hands and was by your side immediately, assisting you with what you were doing.
"Maybe I should move out of the way." Yunho said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"No, it's fine. Just finishing weighing all this according to this. Woo, take over the mixing later?" You turned to the male. Wooyoung gave you a thumbs up.
"I'm making the brown butter now." He informed, swirling the pan on the stove. The brown butter gives financiers a nutty flavour.
"It smells nice in here!" San came through the door.
"Boss man is working in the kitchen?" Yeosang tilted his head, seeing Yunho working with Jongho by the mixer. Wooyoung nodded his head with a playful giggle.
"Told you guys I can bake." Yunho scoffed.
"Are you sure you didn't just eat the scraps?" Mingi scoffed, coming back into the kitchen with an iced coffee in hand.
"No, that's not true! I'm not like all of you who just samples and eats everything. I actually helped make the coffee crumb cake. Didn't I, (y/n)?" Yunho frowned with a small pout. You nodded in confirmation, stirring the icing for said cake in your bowl.
"Ice and slice." You slid the bowl of icing to Jongho. Jongho picked it up immediately, drizzling the icing over the cooled cake in a zig-zag pattern. Yunho looked on, proud that he helped make that.
"Financiers going in the oven." Wooyoung announced.
"I'll do the bacon and egg danishes." Seonghwa said. You went over to help him with that.
"We should go get the store front ready for opening. Stock the coffee bar with what we need." Yunho said to his 4 friends. The 5 of them went out, leaving the kitchen.
"Hongjoong, I moved the box of milk cartons into the walk in. They were delivered this morning." You informed.
"Okay, thanks (y/n)." Hongjoong smiled and went to the walk in with Yeosang to help him move the boxes of milk cartons out to the front.
"Can I make all of you a drink?" Mingi offered. You still had the coffee Yunho made you so only Seonghwa, Wooyoung and Jongho gave their drink orders.
The 4 of you worked well, like usual, all falling into your own tasks and jobs without having to give too much detailed instructions. Jongho did the prep and final touches, Wooyoung was working on one pastry while Seonghwa did another. You floated between them, helping them or pulling stuff out of the oven.
"You made sure a pretty crimp, Jongho." You chuckled as you pulled out the chicken and leek pies. Yunho liked the idea of a mix of savoury and sweet baked goods to sell.
"I'm going to slice the banana cake." You said, cutting the loaves of banana cake into slices for serving.
"Ready for the counter." Seonghwa told the boys outside. They came in to help carry the completed sweets out to the front.
"Can I try a slice of the coffee cake?" Yunho asked. Jongho cut him a slice and served it on a plate for him. Yunho took a bite and you swore his eyes sparkled.
"I helped make this?!" He asked in disbelief. You nodded slowly, eyebrows raised in slight amusement.
"Oh my gosh! Guys, eat this! I helped make it!" Yunho ran out to let his friends try it. And to possibly rub in their faces that he was able to make something so delicious in the kitchen without blowing something up, unlike them.
"Did Yunho really make help make that? Cause it's actually edible." Mingi pointed to the plate. Yunho slapped the back of his head with an offended frown.
"He did. He measured out everything and did the cake mixing." You replied, wiping down the counter.
You heard Yunho open up the shop and the chatter of customers come in. The boys outside went to work at once, serving customers.
"Lunch will be reuben sandwiches." You said.
"Another of those amazing sandwiches?" Yunho beamed as he overheard your words while he walked in to retrieve more cocoa powder from the pantry.
"Mhmm." You nodded. Yunho grinned and nodded before leaving the kitchen.
"Another? You mean, you made him a reuben already?" Wooyoung asked. You nodded again.
"This morning when he came in early. I let him try the salt beef and made him a reuben. Although, I think he might like the sauerkraut a little more than the actual meat. He's never had a reuben before and was quite amazed by it." You explained with a small smile on your face, remembering his reaction to the sandwich.
"Wow. Look at you having cute moments with our boss." Jongho teased with his arms crossed. You shot him a flat look, rolling your eyes and continuing what you were doing.
"There was no moment. I made him a sandwich. I have been making all of you sandwiches for so long." You said.
"The first sandwich she made me was kimchi and peanut butter." Seonghwa remembered.
"I was 5!" You hissed.
"And so cute. You looked at me and asked me if it was delicious, I had to tell you it was the best thing I've ever eaten." He laughed, patting your head and pinching your cheek.
"You know what, make your own salt beef next time. I'm not going to be nice to you anymore." You frowned.
"Sure, you know you can't help but be nice to me." Seonghwa wrapped his arms around you, hugging you. You and Seonghwa have been taking care of each other for a long time. While you never verbally expressed yourself, you did it through acts of service.
After all the cakes and pastries were done, you all did the clean up. Wooyoung and Seonghwa did the dishes while you and Jongho made sandwiches for everyone.
"I'll start toasting the sandwiches." You stood at the stove. Jongho helped you put the sandwiches on the pan.
"Whew, it's busy out there!" San huffed as he entered, leaning against the wall tiredly.
"Want a sandwich?" Wooyoung offered. San brightened up, coming over to see what the 4 of you were eating. You gave him one of the sandwiches and he ate it.
"What? This is so good!" San chewed and looked at the sandwich that he had just taken a bit out of.
"It's called a reuben sandwich. There's beef, cheese, pickled cabbage and a dressing. And then it is toasted." Jongho said, munching on the dill pickle that he usually had alongside his reuben. It was homemade, made by Jongho himself. Wooyoung and Seonghwa preferred just crisps.
"The beef is nice. The spices is good and it's really smokey." San nodded as he took another bite.
"It tastes better when you use an actual smoker." You chuckled. There was no space in a Korean apartment for a full size smoker so you relied on a makeshift one, using wood chips in your oven.
"Hey! What are you eating without me?" Mingi came in, tired from the Friday crowd. He came over to see what San was eating.
"Woah, that looks bomb." Mingi commented, looking at the sandwich. Seonghwa slid one over to him.
"That's for you." He informed. Mingi beamed excitedly and went to wash his hands before digging into the sandwich hungrily. San looked at Mingi with a smirk.
"Isn't it one of the best things you've ever had?" San laughed.
"It's amazing! What? How can a sandwich be so good?" Mingi said in disbelief, taking another bite to convince himself. You, Seonghwa, Wooyoung and Jongho shot each other looks. This was such a genuinely amazed reaction, it was amusing.
"Yunho reacted the same way as all of you." You stated.
"Wait, Yunho's already had one? When?" Mingi and San turned to you in confusion.
"This morning when he came in. I made him one for breakfast." You blinked, taking a bite of your own sandwich.
"And he didn't think to leave any for us? Or tell us about it? See, I told you he was selfish over food." Mingi scoffed at his best friend. San laughed but nodded in agreement.
"Someone is talking about me in here?" Yunho poked his head in. His eyes narrowed in on the sandwich Mingi was eating.
"Is he eating my sandwich?!" Yunho screeched.
"Relax. Yours, Yeosang's and Hongjoong's are here." You pointed to the plates on the back counter. Yunho let out a sigh of relief, no way was he going to share his sandwich, even with his best friend.
"San, if you're done. We need help." Hongjoong popped in briefly. San went to wash his hands and went back out to help manage the crowd and orders. Yunho came in, closing the kitchen door behind him. Mingi looked at him with a raised eyebrow, making Yunho frown in confusion as to why he was being stared at.
"What?"
"You had one sandwich all to yourself this morning for breakfast. Didn't think to leave any of it for us to try?" Mingi asked.
"You're having one now, aren't you? Leave me and my sandwich alone." Yunho scoffed with a pout. They all were like children, fighting over food.
"I share everything with you! You're being selfish." Mingi exclaimed.
"Sorry, Mingi ah. We're best friends but when it comes to delicious food like this, it's every man for himself." Yunho shrugged.

BTS Reaction to you telling them you're pregnant except it's entirely satirical and there's absolutely no plot
⚠️ Warnings: swearing, mentions of the Devil's Tango ™, and extreme crack. This whole Headcannon is absolutely ridiculous, so I apologize for how wacky it gets as you continue reading ⚠️
Kim Seokjin
You've been trying to tell him all week
But this boy is stubborn as hell and he's been so busy with everything so his time for you has been less and less
Which slightly stresses you out knowing that he would have to be a father soon and he couldn't be out all the time
So you decided on Seokjin's day off that you were going to tell him
You took him to his favorite café in the morning and you bought him a coffee in a pink cup
"Oh! Y/N, this cup is so cute and it's my favorite color, you're such a good little egg"
Seokjin patted your head
Meanwhile you're like wtf did my bf just call me
So that didn't work but then you took him shopping for clothes
And after he bought a sparkly jacket (of course he did, it's Seokjin) he saw you looking over towards a family that was in the same aisle
"Awww Jinnie aren't babies just the cutest?"
"Not really"
W H A T
Y'all go home
You're kinda about to give up
But then
BUT THEN
"Yeah now that I'm thinking about it, that little kid was super cute. I'll bet our baby will be even cuter since their dad will be Worldwide Handsome" ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
YOU ALMOST THROW UP
"JINNIE I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU I'M PREGNANT ALL DAY"
"oh."
Long moment of silence before he speaks again:
"Let's just hope the baby has my face."
"SEOKJIN YOU MOTHERFUC-"
Kim Namjoon
You're riding on the back of his bike because this boy does not know how to drive
And then you remember: oh yeah, I should probably tell him he's gonna be a dad soon
You've known for a week, you just haven't found the right time
So maybe once you get to the picnic spot, everything will work out that way!
You lay down the blanket and bring out the food (You packed a bottle of Champagne for the event)
And just as Namjoon finished taking a bite of his sandwich you said "Joonie, how would you like to be a dad?"
He choked
And choked some more
Like his face is turning purple
"OH MY GOD JOON ARE YOU DYING?"
You call an ambulance and someone performs CPR, successfully removing the pickle stuck in your boyfriend's throat
And they wrapped him in a blanket
Amongst all the craziness he finally musters out a "I'm gonna be a dad?"
"Yes Joonie"
"They gave me a shock blanket, I'm in shock"
"Yes Joonie"
"I'm gonna be a good dad"
You're gonna end up having to parent two children
Min Yoongi
You and Yoongi have always been open about everything
You both prided yourselves on never keeping any secrets because you both knew good relationships allowed for conversation
Well..... This was a bit different
You just found out you were pregnant
And now you had to tell him
But you just couldn't
Every time you saw him and said today is the day, it never ended up being the day
But you had just gone out for a date to a karaoke place and Yoongi was having a blast
Singing, dancing, you name it the kid was having a great time
So you decided now was the time
And you wanted to do a sappy duet and tell him as the song ended
But uh
Yoongi decided you were gonna sing Industry Baby by Lil Nas X
You were trying your hardest to keep up, but Yoongi was already on the floor twerking and there was nothing you could do
"Yoongles I'm having a baby!"
"Yeah I love this song!"
"No, not an Industry Baby I'm talking about your child!"
"Technically my child would be one of the industry since I'm a Kpop star!"
More twerking
"YOONGI YOU'RE GONNA BE A DAD"
Twerking pauses
"A what now?"
Jung Hoseok
So. Y'all were not planning on having a kid
It just uh happened due to y'alls bedroom interests (keeping it PG-13 here)
And so when you were getting out of the bath and you saw your stomach looking extra bloated than usual you decided to take a test because why not?
And you screamed because there was no way in hell you were gonna allow something like the Alien movies to happen to you
You didn't even waste any time telling your boyfriend, who was currently sipping a Piña Colada on the couch
"Wassup babe?"
"I'M GONNA DIE"
"Why this time?"
"YOUR STUPID [redacted] GOT ME PREGNANT AND NOW THEY'RE GONNA CUT IT OUT OF ME AND FEED ME MY INSIDES"
Hobi just about spilled his drink everywhere as he got up and ran to the restroom
You couldn't see what he was up to but you could hear him puking from the next room over
After twenty minutes he came out
"So uh, are why are you gonna eat our baby?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You said they would feed you your insides?"
"I was being overdramatic about my placenta you idiot"
He sits down next to you
"So you're not gonna eat the baby?"
Park Jimin
He already knew, he was just waiting for you to tell him
He saw the test in the trash, you really should know to hide things better
So when you finally sat him down for "the talk" he knew what you were going to say
"Jiminie, I'm pregnant"
"Oh really?"
He got up to congratulate you with a big hug and an excited smile but then-
"Do you think we could trade it for a dog?"
W H A T
A D O G ?
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN TRADE IT IN FOR A DOG?"
"Like- I want a dog more than a baby, do you think maybe I could trade for one?"
Jimin fainted
You already had three dogs
When he woke up he found himself lying in your shared bed and he was very confused
The only thing he remembered last was the kitchen
"Y/N, so uh, are you uh, pregnant?"
"Huh, what about oregano?"
"No, No are we having a baby?"
"I told you that last week Jiminie are you okay?"
Jimin went back to sleep
Kim Taehyung
You had just gone to the doctor after taking your pregnancy test and had confirmed that you were, indeed, pregnant
And so you decided to pick up some balloons and streamers while you were out to decorate your shared apartment with Tae in celebration
Once you had everything ready, all that was left for you to do was wait
And so you did
And you waited
And waited
And waited some more
When finally Taehyung opened up the door and walked inside around 11:00pm
But uh
He was wearing a fursuit
"GODDAMN IT TAE! WHERE WERE YOU? I TOLD YOU YOU HAD TO BE HOME EARLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING IMPORTANT"
"I was at furry con"
"FURRY CON?"
You watched as your boyfriend walked to the fridge and took off his wolf head
"You know, Y/N, you should always knock on the fridge before you open it"
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Because there might be a salad dressing inside"
In a fit of rage you threw his dumb mask into the fridge
"I'm pregnant."
You scowled at him but he smiled
"Me too"
Jeon Jeongguk
"Hey, Jeongguk? How come you're not at work?"
Your boyfriend was currently situated on the living room couch with his favorite Jacob Sartorius hoodie and a a singular tear rolling down his cheek
"I had used up all of my sick leave, so I called in dead"
"What's wrong, Kook?"
Your boyfriend slowly arose from the couch, his hand in a fist and and a scowl on his face
"You wouldn't understand, Y/N"
"Wouldn't understand what?"
Your boyfriend inched towards your apartment window and bonked his head against that glass due to his internal agony
"We're all out of apple juice"
"Okay..... So then I can go to the store and pick up some more for you-"
"NO!" JK throws himself against the door and starts sobbing
"IT WON'T BE THE SAME!"
"Why not?"
Your boyfriend goes silent and then he pulls out a clipboard from between his ass cheeks
"MY apple juice has to be hand-squeezed"
He shows you the statistics on his clipboard which is just a drawing of Snoop Dogg
So you end up going to get JK his 'Mystic Apple juice'
And he uh gets really uh excited uh and uh yeah so you know what happens when a mommy loves a daddy
BUT ANYWAYS
So y'all do some stuff whatever the point is bada bing bada boom you got yourself a fetus
And now you would have to tell Jungkook
But how?
So you came up with a really cute idea to write him a sweet little note telling him everything
And when he got home he excitedly tore open the little envelope and read the message
"So uh, is that it?"
HUH
"What do you mean, 'Is that it?'"
"I mean, are you just pregnant or whatever?"
You blinked your eyes in dumbfoundedness
"Uh yeah JK you're going to be a father"
JK fixed his hoodie. "Tsk tsk. You really shouldn't be so overdramatic about little stuff like this"
"JUNGKOOK I LITERALLY HAND SQUEEZED JUICE FOR YOU YESTERDAY"
"THAT WAS DIFFERENT"

WayV Reactions: you get mad at them over something trivial
Pairing(s): WayV x mostly gn!reader (I think Kun's is the only one with a written female reader. The others should be gender neutral).
Genre: angst, fluff (happy ending)
Warnings: couples arguments, yelling, angry reader
Word Count: 3k
Author's Note: Thank you so much for the request!!! I had so much fun writing this, although I will admit I had to look up "trivial things to fight about" so nothing would be repeated lol! I have no idea why most of these take place in the kitchen lol, it just seems like a place of arguments. I hope this is what you wanted!! I hope you enjoy!! 💕💕

"How about Dandelion?" Kun asked from his spot on the couch, absentmindedly flicking through the large book of names clasped in his fingers.
An audible gasp left your lips. You turned, wide eyes to stare at him, completely flabbergasted.
"You want to name our daughter WHAT?" you snapped.
Dandelion? Of all the names in the big book, he had to choose the name of a damned weed!
Kun shut the book and turned to stare at you with an eyebrow raised, not expecting your tone to be as harsh as it was.
With you expecting a baby girl in a few months, you and your husband had set to attempting to pick out a name, which proved to be a little more difficult than you had anticipated. You just couldn't seem to agree on a name, which, until now, had been fine. You were both generally easy going people who hardly ever fought, so as your face flushed with anger, Kun was at a loss.
"I just thought it'd be cute," Kun defended, voice gentle.
You could tell he was trying not to anger you further, but you balled your hands into angry fists.
"Well why don't we just call her a useless weed and be done with it! See how that affects her mental health!" you yelled.
You didn't know why you were so angry, or why you were taking that anger out on your sweet husband who had done nothing but take care of you throughout your pregnancy.
You blamed your hormones.
"Babe, please calm down."
Kun's voice was gentle and soft as he reached out for you, and although you were still seething with anger, the second his arms wrapped around your middle, you could feel it dissipating, leaving you to apologize.
"Kun, I'm sorry for-"
"Shh, there's no need my love," he whispered.
How did you ever get so lucky.

Ten hardly ever got a day off. With WayV and the occasional comeback with NCTU, plus all the variety shows and vlives the boys did, you hardly got to spend time with him, but you knew what you'd gotten yourself into when you'd started dating. You knew nights together were going to be few and far between, so when he'd asked you over to the dorm one afternoon, you'd jumped at the chance, eager to see your boyfriend after so long. However, if you'd known what it would be like, you would have stayed home.
Ten's phone chimed again, not long after he'd placed it down in favor of wrapping his arm around you while the movie played on the tv. His phone had been going off every few minutes, and despite your sliding closer or attempting to distract him, he couldn't seem to stop from responding, spurring on the messages further.
You didn't question whether he was texting some tramp. You knew he'd never do that to you, plus, he was constantly showing you some funny photo or meme that Johnny had sent, making you chuckle, although you couldn't help but to resent Ten's tall friend for distracting your boyfriend.
Finally, as he removed his arm to grab his phone and text Johnny back, you snapped.
"Can you put the damn phone away! If I would have known you'd do nothing but text, I wouldn't have come!"
Ten paused mid text before dropping his phone on the couch.
"He's my best friend, (y/n)! I'm not just going to ghost him!"
You huffed.
"I'm not asking you to ghost him! I'm asking you to spend time with me without the phone!" you hissed.
Ten sighed and picked his phone back up. With a grumble, you got off the couch, preparing to go home, not wanting to watch a movie with your boyfriend if your boyfriend didn't want to be there with you. However, as you moved to grab your coat, he tackled you onto the couch, caging you in his arms.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I promise, for the rest of the day, it's just you and me. No more texting."
You looked at him skeptically, but as he held off his phone, switched off, you sighed and wrapped your arms around him.
"I missed you," you mumbled.
"I missed you too," he replied, kissing the top of your head.

You had never been the kind of person to rely on anyone. You liked doing things on your own, relying on no one, and thus, many of your friends labeled you "stuck in your ways" because, despite having a boyfriend who'd bend over backwards for you, you couldn't bare to let him do anything for you.
This had spurred on quite a few minor arguments, especially when said boyfriend was the worlds sweetest guy who just wanted you to rely on him for more than a warm chest to snuggle against.
"Why won't you let me help you?" he'd asked several times.
Your answer was always the same.
"Because I can do it on my own."
You never meant to make him feel dejected, but as you opened the kitchen cabinet to grab out your favorite coffee mug, you found that maybe, your boyfriend had a little more of a mean streak than you gave him credit for, and this morning, without your daily caffeine, it really pissed you off.
"Dong Sicheng!" you yelled, anger filling your veins.
Apparently, at some time during the night, your boyfriend had snuck out of bed and rearranged your cabinets, moving everything up one shelf higher, so now, instead of the highest self being the only vacant place, now the bottom shelf was vacant. You were decently tall, but you couldn't reach the highest shelf. You doubted anyone who wasn't 6 foot tall could reach, and of course, on the highest shelf, was all of your coffee mugs.
"Yes?" Sicheng asked from behind you.
You spun around in a whirl, his shirt, that fit you more like a dress, flowing out at the sudden movement.
"What the fuck did you do! Everything was perfect! I could reach everything! Why the hell did you move it!" you snapped.
You glared at him as he tried to hide a small smirk, leaning closer to the counter as he reached up, grabbing your favorite coffee mug, and placing it on the counter for you.
This only pissed you off more.
"What the fuck Sicheng!"
"You never let me do anything for you! The power goes out, you fix the fuse box. Your car breaks down, you take it to the shop. You want coffee, you grab the mug out of the cabinet. You don't let me do anything for you!"
You could see his point, you honestly could, and maybe that's why your fury died down a little.
"Sicheng, I'm independent. I don't need you to do anything for me. I can do it on my own."
"That's what you always say! But I'm your boyfriend! I want to do stuff for you!"
With a sigh, you shook your head. Maybe he was right. Relationships were about give and take, push and pull. He let you help him with things and you hadn't returned the favor. Maybe it was time to bend.
"Fine. Keep the mugs up there, but damnit Sicheng, when I call for you to get me a mug, you better come running."
With a smile, he leaned close to press a kiss to your lips.
"Promise. "

Having a live in boyfriend was fun, nothing you'd ever experienced before. Suddenly, you had someone to share your bed with, someone to cook for, someone to open pickle jars when you couldn't.
However, it also meant extra time cleaning. Especially when your boyfriend apparently didn't know the use of a welcome mat. Plus, he wasn't the cleanest person in the world, and that fact became evident as you walked into the kitchen to grab a drink and found two bottle caps and a candy wrapper sitting on the counter, forgotten.
"Seriously Yukhei," you muttered under your breath.
You threw the trash in the bin and opened the refrigerator, hoping for a nice glass of milk before bed. Your eyes landed on the milk carton. Happily, you lifted the carton out of the fridge only to realize that it was empty. You certainly hadn't been the one to place an empty milk carton back in the fride.
"Yuhkei!" You yelled to your boyfriend who was already cuddled up in bed.
You waited for him to make his way into the kitchen, but the longer you waited, the angrier you got.
When he did finally walk inside, he was met with your fixed glare.
"What'd I do?"
"First, you leave your trash on the counter, then you put an empty carton back in the fridge! Do you NOT know where the damn trash can is?!"
Yukhei raised his hands in defense.
"I forgot!" he whined.
You groaned. You'd definitely heard that one before.
"You always forget Yukhei! How hard is it to put your trash where it belongs!" you whine, glare still fixed on him.
"And... just so we're clear... an empty milk carton doesn't go back in the fridge?" he asked.
You threw the milk carton at his head, although you weren't planning on hitting him. As he ducked, the carton hit the floor. He was trying to be funny, and you hated to admit that it was working as a smile cracked across your lips.
"There it is! There's that beautiful smile I love!" he cooed, moving closer and wrapping his arms around your waist.
"Shut up Yukhei!" you grumbled, pushing against his chest lightly.
He wasn't having it. He pulled you closer and pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
"I promise I'll start putting my trash in the bin," he whispered.
You knew it was an empty promise. Tomorrow morning, you'd wake up to more bottle caps and candy wrappers on the counters. Yukhei could be infuriating. But you loved him despite his lack of cleanliness.

That was the sound you'd been hearing every ten minutes for the past hour as your husbands hand slammed into the alarm clock for the sixth time. You grumbled and rolled over, once again awoken by his horrible habits.
This wasn't unusual. Dejun tended to set 15 alarms before he'd finally get out of bed and start his day, which, by that point, was usually when your own alarm clock would start going off and you'd wake up groggy and cranky, having just lost an hour and a half of peaceful sleep because your husband coudn't seem to get his ass out of bed in the morning.
"Why do you need so many fucking alarms! It's fucking stupid! Just set it for the time you actually need to be up!" you growled, not opening your eyes as you buried your face in the pillow, hoping to get back to sleep.
"I can't wake up that fast," came his mumbled response.
You huffed. It was always the same answer, but it never made much sense to you. Why couldn't he just get out of bed like a normal fucking person.
Alas, you didn't respond as sleep once again tugged at your consciousness, lulling you back to sleep beneath the warm blankets before-
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
"GET THE FUCK UP!!"
"Five more minutes," he grumbled.
Five more minutes and you'd have to hear the infuriating sound of that damned alarm clock?! Fuck that.
You had had enough. Your sleep was important to you and being woken up two thousand times with a damn alarm clock before your husband finally dragged his tired ass out of bed was not helping your sleep in any way.
In a fit of anger and irritation, you pressed a sock covered foot against the middle of Dejun's back and pushed, affectively kicking his body out of bed, his body hitting the cold ground with a thump before he knew what happened.
"Hey! What was that for!" he snapped.
"Your up now," you grumbled, rolling back over and pulling the blankets over your head.
You could hear him grumbling something along the lines of "why do I love your psychotic ass" before the shower turned on.

You let out a groan as the title of another horror movie appeared on the television screen as you cuddled next to your boyfriend. You hated horror movies, a fact he knew well. The ones that didn't make you have nightmares were generally so silly and irritating you'd spend the entire moving staring at the time. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, absolutely loved horror films, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise when you sat down for your weekly movie night at his place and found a horror movie coming on, which wouldn't have been an issue if you hadn't watched horror movies the last five weeks in a row.
"Can't we watch something else," you complained.
"It's just one move (y/n), you'll be ok."
You groaned. He never listened, too enthralled in his own excitement for the movie.
You didn't have a problem with the fact that he liked this genre, but he could just as easily watch it with Ten or YangYang, or, if he really wanted to torture his leader, Kun. You, on the other hand, somehow always seemed to get stuck watching them.
"We've watched these five weeks in a row," you whined.
"Shh."
That was the last straw. He wasn't even willing to listen to you!
With a huff, you got off the couch and grabbed the remote from the coffee table, switching off the movie and turning to glare at him.
"You know I don't like horror! Yet for the past several weeks we've done nothing but watch it! When are we going to watch something I want to watch?!" you snapped, hands balling into fists.
You could tell Kunhang was taken aback back your outburst as he floundered to find a response. You expected him to bite back, adding fuel to your fire by saying something along the lines of 'I work so much! Why can't we watch what I want!' But to your great surprise, his face just dropped.
"I like the way you hold onto me," he said softly.
You squinted.
"Huh?"
He sighed and sat up straighter, putting the bowl of popcorn on the table.
"You always cling to me when a part scares you. Sometimes you even jump into my lap and I like that. I like protecting you..."
As his voice trailed off, you sighed, anger evaporating. You sat down on the couch next to him and took his hand.
"I don't mind that sometimes, but not all the time," you said. "Besides, wouldn't you rather make out while watching a romance movie?" you smirked.
He paused at the suggestion, seeming to weigh his options in his mind before flicking the television back on and searching up the sappiest romance movie he could find.
With a grin, you sat back on the couch and discreetly coated your lips in cherry chapstick while he found a movie.

Your feet and back ached as you walked through the door to your apartment after an exceptionally long shift at the diner you worked at part time. All you wanted to do was crawl into bed with your loving boyfriend and go to sleep in his arms. However, as you laid eyes on Jeno and Jaemin sitting beside YangYang with some game loudly playing from the tv, you couldn't help but groan.
"I'm home," you called tiredly, biting back the urge to grumble about games as you made your way into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and maybe a sugary snack.
As soon as you flicked on the light, you couldn't fight the irritation as your eyes met three empty pizza boxes stacked carelessly on the stove and a mountain of plates, cups, and bowls you'd begged YangYang to take care of that morning.
"YangYang!" you snapped, teeth gritting as you found the trashcan, also filled to the brim, waiting to be taken out.
You heard mumbling from the living room followed by an absence of firing guns, meaning they'd paused the game. YangYang walked into the kitchen, eyebrows raised as if he had no idea why you'd called for him.
"What the fuck Yang! I ask you to do the dishes, they're not done! Taking the trash out is your job anyway and it's piled sky high! And those fucking pizza boxes don't belong on the damn stove! What did you do today?! Sit on your ass while I was slaving away!" you yelled.
In hindsight, you probably shouldn't have picked a fight with YangYang's buddies in the next room, but your tired brain could take no more.
"I had to practice and they just got here an hour ago! Don't go snapping at me when you just as easily could do the dishes now!" he snapped back.
"Why should I have to! I've been working all day! You could have done the dishes before they got here! Hell, I wish you would have!"
"Excuse me for not being a clean freak!"
You blew out a huff of air and squeezed your eyes shut.
"Whatever, just go play your damn game."
You turned away from him and moved to the sink, starting the water and pouring in a good squirt of dish soap before grabbing a sponge and getting ready to wash the dishes before a pair of arms wrapped around your waist, a face nuzzling into your neck.
"I'm sorry I didn't do the dishes baby," YangYang whispered softly.
You didn't respond as he pulled the sponge out of your hand.
"Go to bed. I'll do the dishes and then come join you," he whispered.
It was a fast change of heart, but one you were thankful for. You pressed a kiss to his cheek before making your way toward your shared room, not missing the way Jeno and Jaemin bolted from the apartment before YangYang roped them into helping.

and I'll cry if I want to!
Everything can use a good cleaning out every now and then. Don’t you agree?
My husband thinks it is still OK at his age to climb on the roof to clean out our gutters. Once in a while I hear these footsteps coming from the area of our ceilings and I know he’s at it again. I look out the back window to see our tallest ladder standing next to the side of the house and ….then I hear the footsteps again. It really makes me mad that he thinks this is a good thing to do. I don’t think it’s very wise at all. In fact, I think it’s pretty dumb, but cleaning out the gutters of clumps of leaves and pine straw makes him happy, like he has accomplished something important. And I have to admit the next time it rains hard, the water runs smoothly down the gutters the way it should. Gutters need cleaning out occasionally. It’s a good thing.
Cleaning out the refrigerator of way-past-recognition leftovers and vegetables you thought you would cook but never did – now they look like something you should have dissected in high school biology class – is necessary every now-and-then. Removing those things, plus the ketchup bottle that has maybe one teaspoon of ketchup in the bottom and you couldn’t get it out if you had to, the bottle of pickle relish you used ¼ cup of two summers ago to make tuna salad, and that opened Diet Coke can in the back that is pretty much empty and definitely flat – throwing those things in the trash is not only good for your family’s health, but it also frees up space for more vegetables that you might actually cook this time and it makes you feel good when you open up a clean refrigerator in the middle of the night looking for something to munch on.
As much as I dread, dread, dread having a colonoscopy at the end of March, I have to admit I look forward to getting a good Rotor-Rooter job done on my colon and other-such organs. I always think, “I’m not going to put junk back in my body now that it’s all cleaned out. I’m going to only eat healthy foods.” I say this the day before the actual procedure. But if someone put a tracking device on my little red car and watched, they would see me head straight for Bojangles for a ham biscuit as soon as I get out of my doctor’s sight after all is said-and-done the next day. Being hungry will do that for you. And after all, you’ll get another good cleaning out in about eight years, so why not?
But, I’m here to tell you - nothing, I mean nothing, does as much good for a woman to clear her head and clean her soul than a good cry. I’m not talking about the crying we do when we are so mad at the man we married, we can’t do anything else but cry. I’m not talking about the crying we do when we forget to balance our checking account and bounce a check, or when our Master Card is maxed out but we don’t realize it until our buggy is filled with treasures at TJMaxx. I’m definitely not talking about the kind of crying we do when we get stopped for ‘rolling through a stop sign’ or for going 60mph in a 35 mph zone because we are late for our hair appointment.
The Clearing the Heart and Soul Crying I’m talking about is what I do when I see a good old movie, usually an epic love story. That’s the best kind of crying for making me feel all brand new inside and like I can conquer the world!
I was reminded of this kind of crying tonight as we were driving home, listening to an amazing “oldies” station (on the car radio that decides when it wants to be on and when it wants to cut off), when The Four Aces started singing “Love Is a Many Splendored Thing”, from the movie of the same name. I sang out and was so thankful it was dark and that I wasn’t driving. I could close my eyes and see Jennifer Jones standing on that windy hill looking out, hearing William Holden’s voice telling her how special their love was (only William Holden had been killed in war by this time). Mercy! When that movie comes on and the theme song begins, I start bawling. I typically cry all the way through the credits at the end.
I do the same thing when I watch “An Affair to Remember” with Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant. The movie begins, Vic Damone starts singing the theme song and I start crying. I smile through the beginning, but I need a roll of toilet paper (because I rarely have a box of Kleenex in the house) by the time Deborah and Cary visit his Grandmother because I know this is the last time he will ever see her. Then I cry when Deborah looks up at the top of the Empire State Building and I hear a CRASH! Then I start crying at the end when Cary discovers Deborah is the crippled woman who bought his painting and Deborah says, “Oh, darling. If you can paint, I can walk.” By this time I’m at the end of the roll of toilet paper.
When I was a freshman at UGA, Harold and I went to see the movie “Romeo and Juliet”. This was the version that spawned a whole year of Juliet inspired wedding dresses with the puff sleeves and empire waist. Anyway, we all know the story. Romeo and Juliet die at the end, but I wasn’t quite ready for it because I’d never actually seen the play. And they were so young! And it was so tragic! I went back to my dorm, put a quarter in the pay phone in the hall, called my Mother collect at 10:00 at night crying like a baby. “They’re dead, Mommy, they’re dead,” I sobbed. Mother, who had been asleep, went into a panic. “Who is dead?” she asked with alarm. “Romeo and Juliet, Mom. They died at the end of the movie!” I could barely get it out, my heart was so broken.
I can still remember the gentle you-must-be-kidding way she listened to me go on and on about the movie and holding back her laughter, because that’s what Moms do at times like this, she said, “I’m so sorry.” When I had cried every tear that was left in me that night, I said goodbye and apologized for waking her up. It was a good cleansing cry and I felt much better after it was over.
I don’t cry much anymore. I tear up a lot. My voice will falter every now and then when something moves me. But I can’t remember when I’ve had one of those cries that just wipes my heart and soul down with Windex-tears and leaves them feeling sparkly-clean. Maybe it’s because they just don’t make those good cry-baby movies any more - movies like “Love Story” or the old Rock Hudson movie, “Magnificent Obsession” or heaven-help-me, Susan Hayward in “Stolen Hours.”
I think I’m overdue for a good cry. Maybe I’ll rent one of those gully-washer tear-jerkers soon, when no one is around and I don’t have anywhere to be later in the day. A big bowl of popcorn, a Diet Coke, some fuzzy socks and a blanket, I’ll be ready to pop in a good DVD. Oh, and I’ll have a roll of Charmin Delux soft, super-sized toilet paper nearby. I’ll need it.
