I get the sense that this person relies too heavily on their femininity- and I say "relies" because this isn't really a healthy connection to femininity, they use the energy they can gain so as to put up a sweet/peppy front. But it's not a false front, nor is it a bad thing- it's more so they need some more grounding within themselves so they can return being more authentically them. It's giving "fast", they may be the type to rush through life, maybe out of an avoidant attachment,-they could be more anxious-avoidant when vulnerable/more emotional. They have a very cool style though I'm not gonna lieee (even if they dress basic, they carry themselves like a model and everyone has a camera-😳😭 bruh)- if this is romantic/sexual I don't blame you for being attracted to them because they know how to make themselves the center of the room, center of the stage if you will.

I think the only thing that made me define it as negative is that this person is aiming for a “friends w/ benefits” situation, and I don’t believe you truly want that pile 6. because I’m seeing that this person won’t even be a “friend” to you, very hot and cold, talkative and complimentary one moment then fully apathtic the next- because they do not like you- so much as they enjoy the chemistry when it’s good. I’m seeing moments where you are trying to talk about your day, and they remain on their phone, and you almost feel like you’re annoying them, even tho they were fine with talking 3 minutes ago and laughing. spirit’s harsh advice is that this is a waste of your energy and the benefits aren’t worth it/aren’t for you, and even though you act chill/fine with it, you know you want something more and you’re deserving of having that, and to not take it safe anymore with these nowhere relationships.. but to be fair to you, if you want those types of casual relationships with only “fun” then go off then- but still, weed out the ones who are less worth your time, because you have several. and this won’t be an energy you can stay in forever.

🍓This low-key turned into a whole short story in several parts before I remembered these were head cannons and forcefully split it up lol. It’s not too long, because little concepts like this aren’t exactly the easiest to write a multi-page story about, but I try my best. I kinda of just went off on my own though, so I hope this is what you wanted lol. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it, and sorry about the whole waiting thing only for a mini piece like this.

Riddle

-Ah! Riddle Rosehearts, we meet again.

-Riddle is a proud man. He’s multi-talented, incredibly hardworking, intelligent, and not so much kind, but it's not his fault his mother shoved a stick up his pompous ass.

-He takes great enjoyment in being the best at the things he does, but he fully accepts that… maybe… possibly he won’t always be at the top of the top.

-He does try, though. Very hard, because if he doesn’t his mother will be very cross with him.

-Something he takes greatest pride in is his talent in horseback riding. He’s a very talented equestrian, and he adores his horses. It’s one of the very few hobbies he was pushed into that he genuinely loves.

-He loves it so much that, when he gets accepted to attend NRC, he willingly and excitedly signs up for the equestrian club. In fact — other than his mother forcing the school down his throat — NRC’s equestrian club was one of the main draws of the school to him.

-This is where he meets you, his freshman year of college. 

-He walks into the stables, the smell of hay, feed, and mud (and horse shit) filling him with nothing but delight. 

-Students are allowed to bring their own horses from home if they’d like, but the school provides a handful of wonderful purebreds for those new to the sport or not willing to transport their own to campus.

-Riddle decided against bringing his old girl the first semester, even though she would be more reliable. He wanted a change, something new and exciting. He was good with horses, so he was sure whichever one he was given would be easy enough to work with and train how he liked. 

-While he was looking at the different horses, one in particular caught his eye. A beautiful Appaloosa with a shiny clean coat and pretty braided hair.

-It was love at first sight for him. This was his horse, gaping at it with an open mouth, he looked rather stupid. 

-At least, that’s what you thought at least. Stupid and endearing staring at your big baby of a horse like she was the most perfect creature on earth.

-To be fair, she was really pretty, just not… not pretty enough for this reaction, you think.

-“Hey, you okay?” You ask.

“Ah- Uhm, yes. Just… appreciating the horse.”

-Riddle is bright red trying to explain why he felt so… inspired by your horse. 

-Surprisingly, however, it goes well, as you very enthusiastically tell him all about Rainbow Dash, “Dashie”, the third. 

-You’re his first friend on campus! (Other than Trey).

-However, your name sounds very familiar, and he can’t quite get it out of his head after your first meeting.

-So… he looks you up, and he sees your insanely impressive track record. First-place medals, championship trophies, the whole shebang. You’re far more talented than him, and it almost makes him jealous he wasn’t so incredibly impressed.

-Truly Night Raven College has the most impressive students attending within its walls.

-He would initiate some sort of rivalry, but you’re just so… cool. So relaxed, and confident about your skills. He can’t help but admire you more than he wishes he were you.

-The two of you have very different schedules, so you hardly get to see each other outside of club meetings, your interactions are strictly horse-related.

-However, you hear about his violent temper and you find it kind of funny. 

-“You’re like an untrained horse, you need a good rider to reel you in.” You always tease with a wink whenever he gets particularly angry at a match or during practice.

-To everyone’s surprise, he doesn’t blow up at you, just flustered and grumbles like a toddler being scolded by his parent.

-In fact, you’re the only person he really doesn’t blow up at. Your mutual love for horses and hard work in classes make you a nearly unstoppable duo.

-When he gets frustrated training his new horse from the school, you’re there to help cool him down and find a productive way to retrain the horse. When he doesn’t perform well in a match or compares himself to you and your records, you remind him of how different your training was compared to his.

-You two become incredibly close through all of this.

-So it’s no surprise when you both decide to start meeting up outside of class to study together. Then you start meeting up to just hang out in his dorm room. Then you start treating him to sweet treats off campus. Then you start showing up to Heartslabyul’s tea parties.

-It was honestly only a matter of time before the two of you decided to make things official, and when you do, it’s incredibly easy!

-You both plan horse riding dates with each other and spend the majority of your time together talking about training techniques or studying for your upcoming tests.

-Him bringing you home to meet his horse was honestly a bigger deal than meeting his mother.

-He was afraid you wouldn’t find him as beautiful since you own Dashie, but you were absolutely in love with his old girl. She seemed to like you too, given she didn’t try to buck you off the second you claimed onto her back.

-He’s incredibly supportive of you at your own matches and your matches alongside him. 

-Now he’s proud of not only his skills, but you and yours as well, and he wouldn’t want it any other way.

CDPR being CDPR: dropping information on in-lore historical events once and then never bringing it up again. Now we have a brainrot anchor for the events of December '71 a.k.a. the Burning December. Although the text keeps it rather vague, it seems plausible to assume that this particular period of time was the peak of tensions between Barghest and every other fraction involved after Kurt's My Little Pony club goes rogue in summer 2070. There is an NPC conversation that mentions Myers™ dropping bombs on the district during the same time period, but given how salty Hansen is over being dumped by his ex corps, you can easily imagine him whining about the NUSA over comms, while a regular citizen in the area probably wouldn't be bothered to distinguish between Arasaka/Militech/else missile, because whatever it is, it is flying at them right there, right that second. This event also supports the "recruitment" of Jago in 2072 rather nicely. After 2~ years of spending everything Barghest had from Militech, it would be a high-time to hire someone with a powerful trade braincell and start looking for profits. Especially so with the wall shielding the district from the rest of the world and giving the "insiders" a much closer supervision of what goes in and out of the area. Which also makes it more so impressive that Barghest somehow managed to build the wall (holding myself back from orange man jokes) after they had lost Militech's backing. One could theorize the wall was built back in 2070 when the Unification War was still going on, but everything points back to the Midnight Storm being a proceed-at-all-costs offensive op — not defensive. Building up fortifications of such scale would simply be inefficient for the task, although there surely could've been some smaller structures that were built up upon later. And last, but not least: it is quite intriguing that NCPD had the gut to poke the beast too, even with all the NC's funding (since it wasn't transferred to private ownership until 2076).

Kudos to @cyberholic77 for making me look twice at Barghest's Net page & to the entire Baddieghest team for the morning brainrot tennis on this topic. CDPR could give us one (1) more little shard to elaborate on what the Burning December was, yet they didn't.

Gender Stuff and Hobbies

In fifth or sixth grade I was interested in the Babysitter's Club novel advertised in the monthly Scholastic Books advertisement catalog pamphlet thing. The description of the plot sounded like something that would be amusing to see on a sitcom. A girl classmate saw me circle it and teased me for being a boy that wanted to read a girl book. Also, my parents didn't end up ordering that one.

I don't have the experience some trans women have of: "I was always more into pink and dresses and Barbie than blue and trousers and GI Joe". I'm kind of neutral on colors*, I haven't tried wearing a dress yet, and I enjoyed playing with my GI Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, and Transformers action figures as a child.

I also did enjoy watching the GI Joe and He-Man and similar boys' action figure advertisement cartoon shows but the selection of things to watch was narrow enough that I also liked My Little Pony and Care Bears and She-Ra Princess of Power, which I think were more for the girls' marketing demographic.

I did own one She-Ra action figure that may have been a thrift store or garage sale find.

Somewhere I found out that one of the enjoyable things to read, for me, is books in the intersection of chick-lit and YA marketing demographics segments. Things like The Princess Diaries. Or everything Ally Carter writes.

Somewhere else I spent time on the internet and started learning that gender is a spectrum and that things like nonbinary and genderqueer identities exist, and had some realizations.

Recently I picked up the first of the graphic novel adaptations of the Babysitters' Club books and enjoyed reading it.

Most recently I had a good paycheck and felt like disposing of my disposable income in some specific ways I picked up the core rulebook for the Transformers RPG and another Babysitters' Club graphic novel, which seems to be second in the series: The Truth about Stacey.

I took that picture when I had both books with me. I finished reading the graphic novel in one long sitting at a restaurant. I'm still working on the Transformers. I'm about a hundred pages in, which is around a third of the way.

I was thinking of just posting that picture and a short text caption like "Enby's reading list", but it felt too reductive, and even though I am an enby and that is my reading list it sounded in my head too close to old people claiming schools have to put in cat boxes for catgender students. Don't ask me why.

*I do wear a bit more pink now as a deliberate FU to gender norms. In fact, I think when I get dressed and go out today I will wear my pink t-shirt with Wonder Woman circled by a rainbow.

i will only be taking certain requests. anyone can suggest any type of board that does not have media attachment, like name stimboards, animal / bug / sea creature, plant, fungi, etc stimboards, themed stimboards like kidcore, glowcore, cottagecore, etc, and only from media i am familiar with!

please be as descriptive as possible if you have preferences for what you want to see or what you do not want to see in your request (i.e only slime, no long nails, only pink and blue for colors, slow moving gifs only, no hands, plushies, etc)

(i am also very hyperfixated on bugs right now, specifically butterflies, moths, and mantids, but i will make a board for any bug! please just include the common name and the scientific name or perhaps even a picture so i can get the correct bug, and this goes for sea creatures, plants, and fungi as well!!)

don't be scared to send in a request, regardless of what it is, but just bear in mind i will only be able to take the ones i feel i can confidently complete in a timely manner. i also will not be completing requests in the order that i receive them, because i feel that fudges with my creative process.
