Spring awakening characters as things me and my friends have said

Melchior: she didn't mark my test this shit's homophobic.  

Moritz: I have concluded that my entire life is just wii mii music and  unsettling images. 

Georg: I'm sorry but how the fuck is stealing a pigeon illegal like how do you even steal a fucking pigeon like I'm sorry but if it's on the street it's free real estate. 

Otto: I spent my entire life thinking being  royalty  was something special like they called them blue bloods and I thought their blood was literally blue like you'd cut them and the blood stayed blue. 

Melchior: I don't deal with my intrusive thoughts; I just kind of intervene when they're like, 'you should jump off a bridge.' I'm all 'do you take constructive criticism?'

Ernst: I'm sorry but why tell me that i shoul take art this year like you've seen my drawing ? my stick figures look like they should go to A&E.  

Hanschen: oh no I'm being sincere I just constantly sound sarcastic.

Anna: I have nothing against being in the ensemble it's just you get given shit by the people whose characters have names she was all like 'you know you're replaceable right?'  Well no shit Sandy so are you that's why you have a fucking understudy.

  Moritz: honestly love triangles are fucking pyramid schemes.

  Ilse:  grandparents are weirdIi just got given £10 and a half assed talk about acceptance involving  the phrase alternative lifestyle like my aunt practices witchcraft but my lifestyles alternative.

  Wendla: and remember kids you'll never be single with Christian mingle.

Interesting thing I just found: So I just found a bunch of Instagram accounts made by a regional cast of Spring Awakening from a few years ago (the same production that Sing Street’s Brendan C. Callahan was in as Ernst) and the accounts are basically the cast role playing as their characters. They made posts in their character’s perspective, making their version of Spring Awakening essentially a modern retelling. I’m not sure if it was used for the show or if it was just a fun exercise that the director thought of, but either way I love it. I think it’s a great way to immerse yourself and others into the show, especially a timeless show like Spring Awakening. Here are some pictures of the accounts. It’s really interesting to see what each actor posts as their character, interpreting what they think their character would post about. (You can also check them out for yourself on Instagram!)

Hello Tumblr friends! For those of you that have been following us since Be More Chill; this is Julia (aka Chloe)! The Brook Arts Center is back this season with the musical Spring Awakening, running April 12th-21st.

For anyone new to this page, welcome! The BAC is a community theatre in Bound Brook, New Jersey. I will be using this page to post fun promos and behind-the-scenes content to engage with fans of the show and hopefully see some of you in April!

okay so. I did a lot of these during my Disability History class (I like drawing during discussions) and fun fact actually I was drawing this during one on some parts of Deaf history

For more than 40 years, Helge Reumann (*1966) has shared a personal universe through a striking graphic script, sardonic humour and a rigorous aesthetic, which lies between cartoons and contemporary art. Apart from its retrospective aspect, the exhibition also presents new work including a large installation of drawings, painted murals and collaborations with young artists and well-known cartoonists whose world views match his own. Between creativity and invention, comic strip artists often share a language with visual artists. Helge Reumann navigates between them ignoring artificial boundaries which sometimes make their practices exclusive. The Kilmotor exhibition acknowledges this permeability by presenting as many pieces on paper – including plates – as other formats which appear in different storeys of the Villa Bernasconi. We rapidly learn that his work escapes expectations, cliché and simple cartoon boxes.

There is something so simultaneously important and almost disturbing about the original Broadway cast of spring awakening being literal children….

As an adult you’d never think that kids could really handle the material in a mature and nuanced way but they really do it so eloquently

Lea Michelle was FOURTEEN when she started workshopping the show.

Like there’s such a perfect irony of how much the material of the show fit with the cast and their growing up and their own coming of age

I don’t think anything like it could happen again
