While talking about writing Revolt and the Drones album, Matt also touched upon how he wrote Uprising— just by watching protests happening outside his own window in 2009, when he used to live close to the American Embassy (in Italy presumably, though he also mentions the Iraq war so it could also be from when he lived in London, he jumps ahead a bit).

John Kennedy also throws up an impossibly funny mental image of Muse at a protest with mics, collecting field recordings for their next album going, "This is going to sound great on a Muse record!", because Muse are actually such artists that it's half-plausible that they'd do such a thing.

Buro's Joker Skin from Muse Dash! I tried out a bit of a new style with this piece, but I don't like it very much.. I think I'm gonna go back to my original style lol I'm not sure how strict Tumblr is on drawings like this, but I hope I don't get nuked...

While drawing, I took a break about half-way through, and forgot to continue recording the time-lapse when I got back...so it didn't record everything (╥﹏╥) But, it got all the important parts, so it could have been worse LOL

Also, I'm going to start adding a cut to the posts between the drawing and the time-lapse, just so it doesn't fill people's feed too much when they scroll by :')

Once in a while I see a post on this hellsite when someone mentions the Vendée uprising and most of the time even if it's not total crap it is just too boring.

Like yeah, we all know about the famous and terrible war the peasants fought with the Republic but did y'all know that they had a false bishop? The man just spent months pretending to be a bishop of some diocese in India and all the insurgents believed him. It was just that much of a mayhem

And their generals were a small but colourful troupe consisting of the stereotypical libertine prince tormented by gout and whatelse, the guy with Too Many Waistcoats, the young man who was either very brave or just desperately wanting to die (maybe both), the Nerdy Nerd, and some more. And their opposition to the revolution was more, well, circumstantial than ideological.

(Not to mention the memorialist girls. I love them my heart is theirs)

Also, the Republican generals weren't all bloodthirsty beasts. Some of them were pretty decent men and for those who were indeed atrocious, the study of their descent can sometimes be surprising. There's always something captivating in learning about the dark side of humans who seemed completely normal isn't it?

Anyways, I'm def not a specialist on this subject, but I am trying my best. It might be just my special interest and most people might not find it as entertaining as I do. However, I still believe that having a better comprehension of what was going on in the West could maybe deepen the understanding of the whole period among the frev people.

Schedule

I work a few different freelance jobs and so my schedule is constantly in flux. I usually stream weekday at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM in the EST/EDT timezone. I'll attach my weekly schedule for the current week below:

Content I Stream/Create

I usually stream otome visual novels or joseimuke mobile games. Some of my favorites are Ensemble Stars!! Basic and Music, Bandori, Taisho x Alice, Tears of Themis, Hatoful Boyfriend, and BUSTAFELLOWS.

Sometimes I'll stream variety content such as JRPGs, scuffed karaoke (yes it is always scuffed lol), baking or decorating desserts (rare because this is messy and requires lots of planning!), crocheting, and cozy chatting content. I like to experiment with my content when I have more time in my schedule!

I'm currently working on a larger video project where I summarize the entirety of the Ensemble Stars story backlog and lore on YouTube. The series is still very much a work in progress but I do have a livestream VOD where I explained some basics about the game universe and characters which you can watch here:

I also really love music! I try to hold karaokes as much as I can and I've recently start recording covers songs! You can check out my first cover song below. It would mean a lot to me if you gave it a like as well!

Other than that I do a bit of voice acting, sometimes while I'm playing VNs I'll even try to voice over the characters. But mostly I just record short voice clips and post them to YouTube and TikTok.

Now that I have this page I hope to post some exclusive Tumblr content such as video scripts for my YouTube videos and reviews for games, animes, mangas, and novels! I'll link back to some of those posts when I do create them.

Sam kept her gaze out the window, purposely not making eye contact with Alan as he drove her back from the police station. She had already gotten a lecture from the officers there that had arrested her for trespassing on ENCOM property (they didn’t have any evidence to pin her down for anything else, a small victory). After about a minute of silence, Alan let out a heavy sigh.

“Sam…”

There it is.

“Why are you doing this?”

Sam’s brows furrowed as she finally turned her head to look at Alan.

“What?”

“Why are you going through all this trouble and using your talents like this?”

Sam pursed her lips and glanced away, thinking over an answer. Because she could? Because she didn’t think ahead? Because she was a troubled teen acting out? Alan took her silence as the unsure answer it was.

“Sam. You’re a smart kid. But you can’t just go through life pulling risky stunts like this. At the very least not without some reason. Because if you don’t have a reason, a real reason, then it doesn’t matter if you succeed or not, you still lose.”

Sam fell silent again, her gaze falling to her hands in her lap as her mind was sent spiraling. She only snapped back to the moment when the car slowed to a stop as Alan parked it in the driveway.

“Also. Fair warning, Lora’s already been informed and is waiting in the kitchen for you.”

“Fuck.”

“The Program who attacked you is- AHHHHHH!”

Sam’s helmeted head quickly popped upwards from where she was kneeling next to one of the canisters of explosives as Able screamed. The disc attachments to the detonators had suddenly locked themselves to his hands, and were emitting an electric current that forced the older mechanic down onto his knees.

“Able!”

Mara and Zed yelled out in unison. Mara tried to rush forward towards him, like Sam did, but Zed held her back. Despite the pain, Able managed to squeeze open one eye.

“Go! Quick!”

Zed seemed to take the hint the quickest, grabbing Mara and dragging them both off the edge to dive into the water below. Sam however, stayed behind. The User in disguise quickly pulling up the digital command terminal of the detonators. Her eyes widened in heightened panic at the sheer amount of encryption that popped up.

She didn’t even know where to start.

The beeping of the countdown intensified as a current of electricity started to snake its way through the wires and towards the canisters.

“Sam!”

“No! I can-“

Sam let out a gasp as Able drove his shoulder into her chest, knocking her off balance and flying over the edge of the crane, just seconds before it went up in a violent burst of digital fire. She felt a wave of heat brush up against her right arm before she was engulfed by the chilling waters of the sea, and her vision blinked out.

The next thing she knew, something was grabbing her wrist and she was being yanked upwards and dragged onto the docks. She let out several sputtering gasps as her helmet retracted and her lungs expanded, expelling water and taking in air simultaneously. An arm wrapped around her waist was the only thing holding her upright as she continued coughing, as the feeling of a burning pain blossomed up from the back of her shoulder all the way down her right arm.

“Sam! Please! Talk to me!”

Only when her ears had stopped ringing and she finished vomiting up water did the voice finally register in her brain.

“Beck…. Able… He…”

Sam wasn’t sure if it was the pain in her arm, the burning of her lungs, or the weight of what just happened sinking in that caused her to be unable to finish the sentence, but she couldn’t.

“I know…”

Beck’s voice was soft as he held her tighter, turning his head away as he took in shaky breaths.

“I know.”
