LUNGSOD QUEZON, Enero 31 (PIA) -- Nasa 5,600 katao ang target ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Muntinlupa na mabigyan ng bakuna kada araw.
Ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan, ito’y sa tulong ng 56 vaccination teams nito batay sa best case scenario ng supply availability sa isinagawang unang COVID-19 vaccination simulation sa lungsod nitong Biyernes sa Muntinlupa National High School – Main.
Layon ng naturang simulation exercise ang maihanda ang local vaccination teams sa proper handling at vaccine administration sakaling matanggap na ng lungsod ang bakuna para sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Muntinlupa City Health Officer Dra. Teresa Tuliao, ang nasabing aktibidad ay makatutulong din sa lokal na pamahalaan na mapabuti ang ang vaccination site management nito. Pinaplanong gawing vaccination centers ang 28 pampublikong paaralan sa lunsod.
Ang vaccination facilities ay magkakaroon ng mga sumusunod na lugar: registration, counselling and consent, screening, vaccination proper, at post-vaccination monitoring.
Dagdag pa nito, hinahanda na rin ang operational logistics ng vaccination program upang matiyak at tamang paghawak at tama at maayos na disposal nito kabilang na ang reverse logistics.
Ayon sa Public Information Office, ang Muntinlupa LGU ay bibili ng 48 refrigerators at 2 freezers bilang storage equipment para sa mga bakuna. Nakikipag-ugnayan din ang CHO sa mga storage rental facility sa lunsod para sa cold chain management ng mga bakuna na may special storage requirements. (PIA NCR)

QUEZON CITY, Dec. 28 (PIA) -- The local government of Muntinlupa has allocated funds for the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines.
In a statement, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the city government has initially allocated 170 million pesos budget for the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines for city residents.
The mayor said that despite the National Government plan to provide vaccine for everyone, the city will be allocating its own budget for the vaccination program to ensure all Muntinlupa residents will receive the vaccine.
The City Health Office, meanwhile, advises the public to continue observing minimum health protocols despite having the possibility of the vaccine roll-out in 2021.
The city government has also partnered with Staysafe.PH to implement a “No QR Code, No Entry Policy” in all establishments for mandatory contact tracing starting January 2021.
Fresnedi approved City Ordinance No. 2020-181 mandating the installation and use of Staysafe.PH system as an automated contact tracing through the use of QR Codes in all commercial establishments, workplaces, churches, and government offices.
“All residents and visitors who will enter, work, or do business in all indoor or enclosed public and private establishments in Muntinlupa shall be required to download the StaySafe.PH application and register to secure a unique QR Code which they can store on their phone or print for physical copy,” Fresnedi said.
QR Codes for non-smartphone user registrants shall be generated by their respective barangays and shall be distributed to where the registrant resides.
The local government has also inaugurated the city’s Molecular Laboratory and a new We Heal As One Center Isolation Facility in Filinvest, Alabang.
The Muntinlupa City Molecular Laboratory is now operational after its accreditation from the Department of Health has been approved.
Muntinlupa also possess 148-bed We Heal As One Center in Filinvest Tent Alabang,  the city’s second Emergency Quarantine Facility constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The isolation facility is set to be managed by the Bureau of Fire Protection while the local government pledged to fund its utility charges. (PIO MUntinlupa/PIA-NCR)
