OK I usually don't like being cynical (well, not on Tumblr at least lol) but uh...

Yeah at this point there is no way the Warners (or any Animaniacs characters for that matter) are being added to Multiversus. The game is 100% gonna shut down before they can be added. It's reported to be a financial flop, and bad decision after bad decision has led to the active player base consistently staying pretty low for months.

Even if they were added, it's unlikely I'd ever get to play as them anyway given how the game handles unlocking characters (long story short if you don't plan on paying up, or making playing the game your second third job, you ain't getting the new characters of the latest season).

The game ain't making it past 2026, calling it (and believe me, saying 2026 instead of 2025 is being generous).

Which means the most Animaniacs content we'll likely ever be getting from this game is this stage:

Guys, I unironically want Gwimbly in Multiversus, but not his homeless, crackhead version. I want his “original” videogame version, inspired by games like Crash and Spyro.

A beloved character, but with infinite moveset potencial.

Why infinite?

I recently went through MultiVersus’s Reddit page by surprise: new characters for Season 4! And yes there’s many updates that I’ll be keep an eye on, but mostly with new characters was their main topic for now. Also, I’d worried about Raven’s style choice from the infamous “TTG” that surprisedly choice of her exact original Teen Titans design. Well almost, but close enough. 🙂👍

I'm forever so mad that multiversus is a fucking. ready player one game. game for guys who make knowing what a multiverse is their entire personality. game for guys who collect funko pops and those ugly kidrobot plushies. I remember thinking the idea of a smash bros type game but with cartoon network characters and like stuff that aired on cn like dc superheroes & loony tunes was such a cool idea but instead it had to be space jam 2 the game complete with random celebrity cameos random pop culture characters that don't make any sense being there and any possibility for coolness and fun interactions with the characters being tossed aside in favor of half the cast being overly smug and sarcastic and the other half shouting random quotes from their source material

While trying to learn game developmeny, my technique today was to work until I made progress or figured something out and then I could reward myself by playing Multiversus (because it is free) and going until I lose a match. If I lose, I have to go back to my programming.

This did inspire me to improve at playing the game because I didn't want to go back to work and it inspired me to improve my work because I wanted to return to the game. Unfortunately for me, my video game skills are just as bad on both sides of the project. I always got back to work pretty fast and stayed there for a while.
