Important Information!

Hello! This post was written in january and febuary, before the workers at Quackity Studios came out with their stories. Ever since then, i haven't been following the QSMP as a server, despite still writing a fic based on it and following the situation with the workers somewhat closely. I just can't care about it as much as i did. Im posting this theory because it meant a lot to me at the time. I truly believed i was right, and that Badboyhalo would be the main antagonist. I even had the throry that the QSMP would end in a dispute between q!Fit (Madagio + The Rebellion) and q!BBH (Fed). I worked for such a long time gathering evidence for, organizing and writing this post that it just feels bad to keep it in. Today (30/4/24), another ex-admin, named Elk, released a statement, that said: "There was an odd rule where main island lore was never allowed to tie into creator-specific lore, despite creators actively wanting to involve themselves with the federation and being permitted to do so and certain creators having a HUGE influence on the overall lore.". This just erased any and all motivations i ever had to make a theory that links everything together. There was never a truly coherent story. Which makes not only this theory, but any and all theories that link the player characters to the main island lore, useless. Being honest, i just didnt want this post to go to waste, mostly because i worked a lot on it. For that, this post is very much not finished. Most texts are not fully written - my ideas are not as developed as i wish they were. And i apologize for this, i just dont have the energy to finish this. Where it all started: The ARG Emails

On Feb 21, Quackity Studios posted this tweet, that had an ARG puzzle.

The "special invitation" also grasps my attention, but it might be coincidental wording.

Decyphering the puzzle, it lead to a Google Doc, that had many emails.

Among them, there was this one:

[Respectful greetings, We are seeking quotes for the purchase of 1393 muffins to satisfy the extra demand of our special guest. For those who are not aware of the situation, it was pointed out that it is an obligation to share two muffins per person in the workspace to guarantee happy and productive work. We wish to receive your commercial proposals as soon as possible. We appreciate your commitment and effort in preparing your offers for evaluation. Sincerely,]

So uhm... muffins right? Who could it possiblly be referencing?

I honestly can't think of no one else besides q!Badboyhalo, even outside of the qsmp, whose brand is so intrinsically connected to this little cake things.

The number is also very specific. If every worker needs 2 muffins, why is the order an odd number? That just isn't divisible equally to everyone.

I want to mention here that, by the way this email is written,

Ok, so there are a coulple things to pay attention about this post. First the muffins are a clear reference to Bad (there's no arguing here, he is the muffins guy).

Second, where it was posted; unlike all the other cc teasers ─ that were posted on @/quackity4k, quackity's alt twitter account ─ this one was posted on the official Quackity Studios account, along with the arg post that is.

Third, its the only teaser thats accompanied by "welcome to the QSMP". All the others either include something related to the cc (like a bird emoji for Jaiden), or teasing words (closer; up next).

Fourth, the milk emoji. Its curious, and out of place. It is so odd and specific that it deserved to be discussed.

Especially considering that, coincidentally, this is what Badboyhalo responded to the QSMP teaser that i'll talk about later:

Milk is often ─ surprisingly ─ a symbol commonly used with villains in media, to symbolize various things, but mostly to cause a discomfort in the audience, as milk is associated with purity and childhood. So pairing it with ruthless and cruel villains creates an unsetteling atmosphere.

The Teaser Video

The video starts off in a dimly lit room, with some boxes, and, most notably, a tv, a vcr player and a chair. A shadowy figure enters the room, and inserts a cassette on the player. A promotional video of Quesadilla Island starts playing. It shows the figure watching the video, and the scene is interrupted by a black screen with "20 years later" written. It ends with two other shadowy figures (Quackity and Slime, presumably) talking in the train that took the first group to our current Quesadilla.

The only thing that we can notice on this person, is a little white marking on both their left and right hand.

Some theorized it could be qFit, but he doesn't have the marking on his right hand.

The only character, from the first group of islanders, who has a white marking on both hands is q!Badboyhalo.

And q!Badboyhalo being part of the fed in 2003 does also make sense in his lore; he's never mentioned where he was or what he was doing around the late 1990's and early 2000's.

Unlike fit, who was 13 in 2003. He was a child ─ he was only a bit older than q!Cellbit during the war.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most substantial evidences we have of q!Badboyhalo being involved in whatever the fed is doing.

The 2013 War

When qCellbit started researching the fed, as a child, he was forcefully exiled from Quesadilla, because he found out too much about what was going on. Maybe the tests on children (q!Baghera and the other deceased hybrids), as he says this on his letter to q!Bagi:

[...] I saw everything inside, they were doing all this beneath our very feet… it’s horrible, Bagi. You don’t deserve this, I don’t want you to have to live with these guys. So meet me on the other side of this ocean Bagi. I’ll be going now, I don’t care if I have to swim until [...]

He ended up, somehow, in a war, where he, coincidentally, first met q!BBH.

q!Bad has stated he was in the war to overlook it.

The Purgatory Puzzle

Codeflippa lead qBBH, qAypierre and qMaximus throughout the maze, into a white room with a red button. Before activating the button, this was shown to them:

-> Could the asterisks mean Badboy? or maybe Mr. Halo?

They pressed the button, and then recieved this book:

Via a warpstone, they were taken to another maze, this one with a puzzle and two pictures of cucurucho.

After going through some rooms, they found a small pillar, with Dapper's hat on top of it, as you can see here:

Why? Why was dapper's hat there?

If this is a foreshadowing to the fact that Dapper would always be the eggs that would be freed from purgatory, independently from the roulette, than why Dapper?

What makes Dapper special, or different from the other kids, that earned him this, and possibly his life?

The group found themselves in a circular room, with three die. These die, coincidentally, had the same colors as q!Badboyhalo and Dapper: black, red and white.

There was a chest, and in it, they recieved this books:

Badboyhalo was shortly after teleported into the middle of the room, so he could play the game.

He thew the die and got a 7.

He then was gifted this ticket:

Again, why q!Badboyhalo? What makes him different?

It can't be him being a demon, since Mouse and Tina were already on the island.

So what makes him so special that, not only theres a full puzzle dedicated to him (as evidenced by Dapper's hat, and qBad being the chosen one for the game), but he's the first person (not counting q!Bagi nor q!Carre) to get a ticket? He's the only islander that had to go through this puzzle to get it, the other ones were just teleported into the room. Not even q!Max or q!Pierre got tickets that day.

Obviously this goodbye is an April fools joke and the real truth is that the carnivorous muffin is the alt account of Vinelle. You almost had me fooled!

Pfft, well, the hilarious thing is that @theoriginalcarnivorousmuffin and I had planned out the entire backstory for how she pulled this off, it was a glorious and shockingly solid backstory. The thing is, we expected to receive anons asking how Muffin kept it up for so long or trying to catch her out in the lie, we even asked a mutual friend to back us up, and then... nobody asked.

So sad.

Low-Fat Whole Wheat Strawberry Shortcake Muffins!

I'm allergic to nuts, so not a lot of my recipes will contain them, but this is the variant of the original strawberry shortcake recipe. The variant wad made for my parents taking account of my dad's health concerns/needs.

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flower

2 Teaspoons baking powder

1 egg

1/8 cup maple syrup

8 oz fat free cream cheese

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 quarts strawberries

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

~ 2 cups milk

optional 4 servings protein powder (calcium-based for flavour)

Materials:

2 regular-sized 12-cup muffin pans

2 mini muffin 12-cup muffin pans

Hand beater

Pairing Knife

Large Bowl

Pan Greasing agent

Directions:

In a large bowl mix everything except for your creme cheese, milk, and strawberries. One done, you should have a doughy consistency, add one cup of milk and mix slowly.

Wash your strawberries and cut them in half. Select 12 halved strawberries of a good size (equalling 24 pieces) and cut open the centres, removing them from the strawberries and placing them in the mix, before putting creme cheese in them, set them down in the mini muffin pans. Once this is complete, dice the rest of the strawberries and add them and the creme cheese to your mixture

Add milk until the muffins match the consistency of thick cake batter. This done, half-fill all of your greased muffin cups, then place a stuffed strawberry in the centre of each, before putting them in the oven for 20 minutes, or until you can slide a toothpick into the non-strawberry part without getting anything sticky on them.

Remove them from the oven and let them cool for ten minutes. Warning: they tend to be soft due to the cooked strawberry in the centre, so handle with care!

Best served with whipped creme or ice cream!

TW for antisemitism, nazi imagery and rhetoric, racism, mass shootings, far-right dogwhistles and rhetoric, etc.

Pdp has Always been so ingrained w all this shit for as long as I can remember, especially antisemitism. His own videos have contained nazi jokes, hitler comparisons (i believr to himself at times), him performing nazi salutes. One of the most memorable instances imo is in i think 2017 or so, he paid two indian dudes on fiverr to dance around with a sign saying 'kill all jews', reacted to it and posted it in a video. The people's fiverr account got suspended i believe, and they said they didnt understand the meaning of the words as they didnt understand english well at the time.

As for far-right rhetoric and dogwhistles, hes kinda been 'accepted' by far-right communities, to the point the 'subscribe to pewdiepie' meme was almost like a dogwhistle. It was literally said by a man before he shot up two mosques. Although thats OTHER people, considering his use of nazi symbols n such. Its not without reason imo. Like he had a shirt with a swastika on it that he showed up to a filming event for i think that 'scare pewdiepie' thing years ago, altho he denied that but theres photos of him w friends wearing matching swastika shirts (havent been able to find them but i recall him saying it was a 'dark joke'). Within 2018 or 19 he reccomended a youtube channel to his fans saying he enjoyed the anime analysis video. But the account was literally interladden with right-wing dogwhistles, the concept of 'redpilling' the viewers. It took media like steven universe and inputted right wing ideology into it under the guise of 'analysis', used racist imagery such as editing black people into caricatures on thumbnails, and used homophobic slurs n slurs of all kinds really. After he reccomended the channel it got like 36k subs or more

Also was his instance of calling someone the n word in a video game. Also he compared the gorrilla harambe to the african american actress leslie jones, by i believe using her image in replacement of a gorillas.

Biggest aspect is like. His addresses of this n 'apologies' had been shit. It was always a lot of 'its absurdist humour'. The kind of says sorry once then goes on bout how media overinflated it, how it wasnt that serious, how sure he was Sorry or whatever about his jokes. At some point i think he spoke of the fiverr incident as him trying to 'show' how people will do absurd and ridiculous things and how 'funny' it was. But that falls entirely flat in my mind considering they didnt understand the words, how he edited and posted a video of himself paying for the words 'kill all jews'. Thats not 'wow look how people do ridiculous things!' Yknow?

So like. Theres all that. A lot of what i mention here is within all those links, plus more. Altho one thing i wanna say

I often feel like a hypocrite, because ofc i believe people can change, and past actions arent entirely indicative of people Now. But with pewdiepie n the things hes done, its so extreme, with so much piled together over time, to the original 'jokes' and his shit 'apologies', that i cant imagine hes changed much. And even if so, this shit is so intense and genuinely messed up that it will follow him everywhere, and i can never support someone like this. This is an exception, an example of 'it doesnt matter how long ago it was' becausr pdp didnt just tweet jokes that may have been read in poor tastes, or aged bad, or were deleted but dug up. These are so bad and genuinely disgusting in comparison

The Egg Plot bathwater stream is really just a spiritual successor to Dreamon Hunters

- Whereas most of the main storyline conflicts on the server are political in nature, this one is supernatural

- The conflict is started because of Skeppy logging on/off the server

- The main conflict surrounds a member who’s been possessed in some way who needs the thing possessing them removed

- Takes place at Bad and Skeppy’s Mansion

- One involves demon-hunting, the other involves a demon hunting

- Seems at first like it could lead to deep lore about the server as a whole,

- But the ways the protagonists go about solving the supernatural issue are incredibly wacky and increasingly zany as the stream progresses

- Rituals involving a lot of inside jokes about the member needing the exorcism

- Said rituals go very, very wrong

- After the ritual goes wrong, the possessed person changes the things they type in chat to emphasize a shift in their personality

“I feel like hugging Technoblade”

“Muffins!”

- Creative use of logging in/out and other account mechanics like alts or switching skins

- The approach to lore-building seems to be: “Make it up as you go along and make sure it’s funny”

- A much-needed, light-hearted break from the ongoing dread of the main plotline

Okay, onto the actual point of the post now

I’ve said before that the whole Egg plot is basically “what Dreamon Hunters could have been” if it’d gotten time to develop.

Tubbo and Fundy were really excited about starting a new storyline on the side, but since both were very involved with the Festival, the main storyline got in the way of that and the Dreamon Hunters plot never took off.

But now we’ve got the Egg plot! And if you haven’t checked out this side plot but really liked the Dreamon Hunters, I’d honestly really recommend it!

Since the Badlands aren’t very involved with the L’manberg storyline, they’ve got time to flesh out their own plotlines and they’ve been doing some cool things writing their own stuff on the side.

Everyone’s just having fun, hanging out, making each other laugh with this ridiculous, silly little plot about a demonic egg and holy bathwater.

Plus, they’re getting more people involved than just the Badlands! Eret and Puffy are a part of it too. It’s really given a lot more characters who’ve sorta been pushed to the side with the main plot some time to develop and get into conflicts of their own.

Angst got you down? Come over to the Egg plot, where all the “angst” is super comedic instead, and you’ve got some pretty dang amazing set-design and some impressively quick costume changes to sell the supernatural elements.

It’s hilarious, it’s fun, it’s just a good time! 

And I’d recommend giving it a try if it seems like it’d be your cup of tea.

New alt account named Kochab! I am SUPER lucky with this account so far, day one and I got a 3s Nanaka! I’m also really happy because I also got Oriko and Masara right away in a few pulls.

Playing from scratch is so much fun you guys? Also the game is so streamlined, it’s so much easier to get characters to doppel, to max level, all that stuff.

Right now I’m racing to get a bunch of pulls to try and see if I can get either Anime Yachiyo or Anime Mami. This is actually the longest it’s ever taken for me to get a 4* on a new account; normally I get one within the first two tenpulls. At the same time, a 3s Nanaka is far more useful than a one-slot character so I won’t complain too much.

If I get Anime Iroha on this account, I’m gonna cry until I laugh because she’s the one who I spent way too much money on just to get some shitty screenshots of.

I ended up choosing Mami for this account but kind of regretted it, wishing I had picked Madoka instead. But it doesn’t matter that much I guess.

George quietly watches as the other Dream sleeps, brushing away a blonde strand of curly hair on his forehead. “The other Dream.” Just saying the words brings him such a strange feeling of awe. It was just as he expected: the other George had found the other Dream for him, and they were currently in some sort of hotel room. George’s heart still aches a little, realizing he’ll never see Dream again. All he can hope for now is that, with their successful swap, Dream will do as he promised and confess.

George’s movement, though only a gentle touch, appeared to be enough to wake the other Dream. He slowly opens his eyes, asks in his sleepy voice, “George…?” and George is hit with a full wave of adoration. His voice is just like Dream’s, but more timid. More reserved. It’s the cutest fucking thing ever.

“You are so cute,” George says as much, grinning as he props his head up on one of his arms. The other Dream gives a shy huff at George’s comment, and George feels himself melt a little at how much… quieter he is, compared to Dream. “By the way, we uh… we switched.”

It seems to take a second for his words to register, but when they do, the other Dream’s eyes snap wide open. He sits straight up, blinking with a shocked expression. “O-OH.” A beat of silence. “You’re…?”

“I’m the original,” George confirms.

Clay visibles swallows, then he’s quickly moving away from George, a pained expression on his face. “I-I, sorry, I just—” his words come out in a jumble, sounding panicked and disappointed all at once. “George and I were, I mean, the other George and I were— we were…” he holds his tongue, looking torn. “We…”

George tilts his head curiously. “Are we dating?”

A bright flush crawls up the other Dream’s cheeks, and George nearly has a heart-attack, because wow. Okay.

Apparently this Dream blushes??

“I– yes. No. Well, the other George, I guess… we were? But,” Other-Dream only blushes harder as he tries to explain, “Y-you’re him, I guess, so… yeah? Sorry, I know this sounds confusing. It’s, uh, kind of hard to explain…”

George stops him before he can move any further away from him, placing a hand on the other Dream’s waist. “Does that mean I’m allowed to do this?” he asks innocently, and raising himself so that they’re at the same height, he places a single peck on the side of Blushy-Dream’s cheek.

“Uhhhh….” Other-Dream blinks at him, his entire face a bright tomato red as he tries to compute George’s actions. “UHH???”

George giggles at his reaction. “Sorry,” he grins, “Is that not what people in a relationship do?” 

But because Shy-Dream still appears to have short-circuited from George’s kiss, George figures he’ll cut him a break and stop messing around. “I kind of got into a relationship with your other self,” George gets straight to the point. “And you’re basically him, so…” a shrug, “Go out with me?”

It takes a while, but slowly, the smallest of smiles appears on Other-Dream’s face. He rubs his eyes, still looking disbelieving. “Is this just a dream? Am I… am I dreaming?”

George takes that as a yes, and he cracks a smile. “I’m assuming your name isn’t Dream, is it?”

“I… I’m Clay,” he responds, still looking frazzled and in awe. “My name’s Clay.”

“Nice to meet you, Clay,” George greets, holding their hands together. But he doesn’t let go. “I’m George.”

“I know,” Clay replies, eyes wide, “You’re my IDOL.”

And George laughs, because he didn’t expect this. He didn’t expect Clay to be so shy and awkward and mesmerized by everything, and George was just enamoured. There was no other way to put it. Whether it be Dream or Clay, they both fascinated George equally. 

It looked like everything was going to turn okay.

Alt George: I still dunno for sure. But… it helped me recognize my feelings, I guess? Dream: *intertwining their hands* It was the same for me. Imp George: *smirks fondly* I got to meet Dream. And because of him… *elbows* I met this cutie too. Clay: *blushing* G-George… Imp George: And with the extra addition, the George Gang is now better than ever. *smiles, turning to his friends* I’d say we’ve become a better team after all this, haven’t we?

A more coherent answer: Because of Imp’s status, he separated himself from his friends and became a lonely person (which is why he acts the way he does). The reason for the swap as dictated by the universe (or the fanfic gods?? lol) was actually for his sake, and it was Alt’s job to find Clay so that he and Imp could meet when they swapped back.

[And in case the question was directed to the reason for the final swap-back] The criteria was for both parties to “be prepared” for the swap-back. This not only meant both parties had to be willing to return, but that they both had to accomplish their respective goals. For Alt it was finding Clay, for Imp it was to look and learn from the Dream Team’s teamwork and realize he needed to apply it to his own world when he returned.

So basically… romance was never the goal of the swap LOL. Neither was kissing. The characters chose that path for themselves. Hope this helped explain some things!

This amazing fanart has now become my new canon (for imp George, at least), so you can refer to that for an idea of what I’m thinking of :) (It’s a shame I’m only thinking about this now, since I absolutely would’ve inserted a passage about Imp roasting George’s closet if I could LOL)
