Some words from Tim in honor of Willie and Mozzie Mania. (And thanks to Penny for getting him talking!) And if you'd like to honor Willie's memory by helping out a fantastic organization he was devoted to, the folks at You Gotta Believe would welcome any amount of donation to the Willie Garson Fund.

Well, we're sad to report that apparently within the past few days, You Gotta Believe has ended direct contributions to Willie's fund. Still, Willie was a tireless advocate for them and their mission of finding every child a permanent home. You can donate to the organization's general fund here.

It would be easy to be sad today, remembering Willie and all the light he brought to the world that’s now gone dark. Instead, we choose to celebrate the part of him left behind by honoring one of his most iconic roles. So happy heavenly birthday, Willie. We miss you tons, and we’re so, so grateful you gave us Mozzie.

Mozzie's day to shine

Next month will mark what would have been Willie Garson's 60th birthday. It will also mark our celebration of Willie's special day in the form of our third annual Mozzie Mania.

As with our other creative events, this one is open to any type of fan creation, and the only requirement is that Mozzie is a major focus of the work. Oh, and if you're playing bingo with us, you're free to use one of your card prompts to make something about Moz. (And if you're not playing bingo, would you like to?) There will be an AO3 collection (Mozzie Mania 2024, unrevealed until Feb. 20th) where you can post most types of work, and please remember to tag us when you share via socials.

Also, as we've done the past couple of years, we'll also be using this event as a way to help continue Willie's legacy by supporting You Gotta Believe, a foster care organization that was near and dear to his heart. For each of the first 25 Mozzie Mania entries, we'll be donating $5 to the Willie Garson Fund at YGB, which was established after his passing. And though we know money's tight all over these days, if you've got even a couple of bucks to spare, we'd encourage you to donate whatever you can on February 20th. We should see how many individual donations we could generate on Willie's birthday!

And that's it, simple as pie. It's our annual day to have lots of Mozzie fun!

We're shouting a big ol' happy heavenly birthday to Willie today, and hoping we'll see lots of Mozzie creations as the day rolls along. Here's the official AO3 collection, and we'll be watching for hashtags on things posted on other socials. So send us your art, your fic, or whatever Mozzie love you've created!

Celebrating Willie

Next month, February 20th, would have been Willie Garson's 59th birthday. We still miss him every day.

But even with our abiding grief, we're so grateful to have Mozzie, a character that's brought us hours upon hours of entertainment, and a part of Willie that can never be taken away.

So, to celebrate Willie and one of his most iconic roles, we're glad to present our next creative event, the 2nd Annual Mozzie Mania!

As always, we're open to any sort of fan creation, and there's no specific theme this time, except that whatever you create should feature Mozzie. The perennial sidekick, we figure at least every now and again, Moz should get to be the star!

As always, there'll be an AO3 collection (look for Mozzie Mania 2023) for anything that can be shared there, and if you're sharing elsewhere, just be sure to @ us and/or use #MozzieMania and #CelebratingWillie.

Also, as last year, we'd like to use this event to go beyond the fun and games and take the opportunity to give back to a cause that was so important to Willie: helping kids in foster care find a forever family.

To that end, for each of the first 50 Mozzie Mania entries we receive, OMWC will donate $5.90 to the Willie Garson Fund at You Gotta Believe. So besides the fun of creating and helping to entertain all your fellow White Collar fans, with your entry, you'll also help fund some very important work. Win-win!

And, if you're a Mozzie fan (and who isn't?!), or if you've ever enjoyed one of our events, and if you're able, we're asking if you could consider making a small donation of your own, as well. And truly, no amount is too small to be of help in this important mission; anything you're able to do will be appreciated, and we'd love to see Collars around the world rising up to support Willie's vision of finding a home for everyone in foster care.

Thirty Days and Counting

First, man, this year already seems to be zipping by. RL things have put some fandom stuff on the back burner a bit, so many apologies for not being around here lately. Especially when there was so much good stuff taking place during the 12 Days of White Collar. We're still pretty much in awe of all you guys for showing up and showing out on that! Thank you a million times over.

And, we're here today hoping you've got even more creativity left inside you as we announce our next fan creation event--Mozzie Mania!

Of course, there's still so much profound sadness at losing Willie last year, but we're hoping to focus on the happiness that he brought us when he brought Mozzie to life. So, in Willie's honor, we'll be hosting Mozzie Mania on his birthday, February 20th.

As always, we're hoping to see many different kinds of creations--fanfic, fanvids, fanart, gifsets, heck, give us a blog post about Mozzie's favorite conspiracy theories. If Mozzie's front and center, it's all fair game!

There are no specific prompts this time around, but we do have a theme: Moz Deserves a Happy Ending; feel free to interpret it as you wish.

As always, we'll have a collection on AO3 for anything that can be shared there (which is a lot of stuff), and if you share it elsewhere, just please @ us so we'll see all the great creations.

So, put your creative caps on, start spreading the word far and wide among your other fandom friends, and thirty days from now, we'll have one heck of a Mozzie party! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

We don't know who created this image (point us to them if you know, would ya?), but we like it.

As we've said, we're now on the side of "no revival," since we can't (and don't want to) imagine the show without Willie, but we love fan art and fan fic and all sorts of creativity that imagines what's next for our boys. So if anyone's got more art coming, or a story in the works for this "final score," we'll be patiently waiting to see it. 💙

Oh, we LOVE the idea of reading Mozzie fics playing bingo! We also really love the idea of someone being inspired to write even more Mozzie fics, but we've always been kind of greedy that way!
