Glasshouse Rocks is one of the highlights in Narooma, according to me. You can access this view with a small hike or just drive upto to the Narooma beach and spot them. At Narooma beach, you’ll find all sorts of interesting rock formations with intriguing natural patterns etched into them. Many brush by part of Boulder City on their way to Hoover Dam, Arizona, or flights to the the Grand Canyon, but might not know what else can be found in and around it.  There is a lot of history in this small town by population, but big in land area.  Plus some unique homes and neighborhoods along with some awesome views.  

But what about all the other things to be found there?  Mountain biking, zip-lines, and hiking and biking trails.  Train rides and a museum.  The water sports and a cruise at Lake Mead.  Canoe, kayak, paddle-boarding, and raft trips on the first, and currently the only, National Water Trail in the southwest.  A BMX bike track and skate park.  A Ghost Town and a Gold Mine you can tour in what was the biggest strike in southern Nevada.  There’s also an historic downtown area with public art, shops, restaurants, a brew pub, and a number of parks with some having become a an unusual 'gang' hangout.

The new interstate 11, with it's Boulder City Bypass, has relieved a lot of the traffic congestion in Boulder City, and the new link to the Boulder City Parkway makes it easier to get to town.  So you might just want to take my video tour for a little better idea of what you can find on the other side of Railroad Pass.

The walk up to to this beautiful viewpoint is worth your time. This a hidden gem and you won't find any boards indicating routes. But, it's not tough to find it on your maps. You will have to park at a distance and walk through the mud trail. The walk is likely grade 1 with a bit uphill. But, its easily doable with kids.
