haunted monastery cursed edition Cole is attached to Morro at the hip. they are literally always together. during s6 Nadakhan has to kidnap both of them at once instead of picking them off individually. Wu is mildly offended that his sons like each other better than him

dr!morro who becomes some sort of grim reaper, guiding spirits to the departed realm. with how many people the shadow clan kills he stumbles upon walker, so of course he stays for the chaos. he may be a neutral spirit whos accepted death with peace, but hes still a little shit

Was thinking about this AU again with Dragons Rising. The fun thing about this is we know the power can move on when the person becomes their element (a la Nyad and Nya) so this means Euphrasia can be canon to the Aurae morroverse. Now you may say “Oh Euphrasia got them in the merge and Morro comes back in Season 11 so shouldn’t Morro have them.”

Not necessarily!

While you could go the route of him getting his powers back like Nya did. You don’t have to. His powers could have already found a new master before he ever got turned back into a person and then that person dies and the go to Euphrasia or something along those lines.

Anyways I love Euphrasia and want her to still exist.

I think it would also be interesting to see them interact. Morro might try to and be able to give her good hints on her powers since he literally was the wind for a long time so he has a better understanding of it than anyone

So I had an idea for an AU that I’m gonna call the Aurae Morro AU so in this Au instead of doing whatever he did that made him end up in the cursed realm to try and become the Green Ninja, he instead tries to unlock his power to the farthest degree, in the process, he becomes a spirit of sky/storm/wind. SO with this au I’ve got a lot of ideas for variations but I’ve got my two main subsections of the AU.

1. The Vengeful Spirit AU- So in this one Morro releases that unlocking the ultimate power granted by the storm amulet is not as great as it sounds. He proceeds to blame Wu for his problems since to him it feels like it’s Wu’s fault he’s not the green ninja or at least that he ever thought he could be which is what led him down his path. Well theoretically he could probably summon a tornado and destroy him, giving that he hasn’t simmered in resentment for too long, I don’t believe he would go that far. Instead he just causes many minor-ish inconveniances like if windows are left open or WU is outside blowing his stuff all over the place with gusts of wind, and maybe occasionally making bad whether follow Wu. This AU doesn’t have much changes to the overarching plot just a funny little drabble idea.

2. The Gaurdian Angel AU. So this can be set after the Vengeful spirit AU or set in a different universe.

So after awhile of drifting around the world doing who knows what as the sky eventually we get to the point where Kai and Nya have been born, Morro sees them whether that’s because he wants to check in on Maya and Ray because they were some of the elemental masters he liked or just because he had a strange drawing to them depends on how much memory issues you want to inflict upon him. Morro becomes attached to Kai because he reminds him of himself (If you want to go angst with that maybe he wants to desperately cling to anything that reminds him of himself because as the decades go on he’s finding that hard to do).

So anyway after Maya and Ray disappear wind spirit Morro takes it upon himself to watch after the little children doing things like if they ever get in a trouble with someone he’d knock them over with a gust of wind and maybe occasionally using air to steal bits of food and leave it in their house so they don’t have to steal themselves (though for angst possibilities this likely leaves him exhausted and disconnected from himself for awhile. It seems with these becoming your element things the more you try to interact with the world the more it tries to fight you.)

The siblings aren’t sure how to explain these strange occurrences but they have no reason to complain.

Now then we get into the actual show where-in Wu shows up. Morro isn’t quite sure how to process this, but he doesn’t get much time to process this as Nya gets whisked away. He chooses to silently watch over her since he’s not wanting to process the whole Wu thing. (These things probably stay consistent no matter how much memory problems chosen to inflict on Morro)

Now I’m not entirely sure how wind Morro’s presence will effect most of the seasons. (One thing I’d do is that mistake where Jay controls wind would than be Morro protecting Kai’s friends). Then this means that there would have to be a new ghost in charge for season five.

But then where the ideas really roll again is then in Season 11 when Kai’s supposed to lose his powers Morro finds away to instead try to protect him from the spell so then Asphera is stealing his powers. Aspheera for some reason can’t stop the spell as it slowly sucks away the powers a vortex of wind forming then of course the outbursts from the spell flings everyone back and in the middle of where the wind used to be lies another teen.

Everyone is dumbfounded,

Aspheera and the Ninja because a human just seemingly materialized out of nowhere and a lot of weird magic things went on, Morro because he’s tangible.

Kai is the first one to speak up. “Who are you?”

Morro’s voice sounds foreign to even his own ears after decades of not using it, but he responds with “Your Gaurdian Angel of course,”

Even though Morro was the wind he’s probably still gonna look like a bit of a hobo when he gets turned back and Jay having very little filter would probably just go, “You’re an angel? Really?” Because when most people picture angels they don’t think teenage hobos.

Then after that if you want to go on the path of angst Morro could have introduced himself as Gaurdian Angel it could be because at this point Morro has forgot his own name (don’t worry it will probably come back to him… maybe) so when somebody asks “Ok, but who are you really? Like what’s your name?” Morro has to respond with “I don’t know”

I have a small AU where on the Day of the Departed some souls are able to go down to Ninjago to see their loved ones.

(Such as souls who have recently died, souls who are remembered, or souls who are trusted enough to go down (when a dangerous soul is one of the first two they either are not allowed to go down or must travel down with a ‘Guardian’ such as Garmadon with Morro (yes this is a Morro AU are you actually surprised)))

So imagine how Cole feels when years down the pipe line something triggers his previous ghostly-ness (maybe evil Garms resurrection) and he sees Morro and Garmadon bickering near a Lloyd, Cryptor making fun of Zane and Pixal, Dr Julien admiring all the changes that has occurred, his mom admiring how big he’s gotten, and the damn First spinjitzu master snorting at Wu and (evil) Garmadon bickering.

No Kai he’s not hallucinating Harumi’s birth parents and adopted parents hovering over her what the hell.

Imagine how baffled he would be when he sees some random blonde woman and a guy who looks way too familiar babying a Jay who has no idea why Cole both looks traumatised and amused when looking at him.

kai - vi; pretty self-explanatory i think.

lloyd - jinx; initially was unsure on whether to make him jinx or ekko but i thought nya fit better as ekko. which yeah. he and kai are not related here though. he still goes by jinx after.. you know

nya - ekko; ^ . ofc since ekko isnt related to vi in the series, it's different in this au; both nya and kai live with ronin (benzo) but they hang out with lloyd a lot

garmadon - vander; ykw. i feel like this is pretty self-explanatory too.

sora (& arin possibly) - isha; although i do still have thoughts of making isha two characters (arin + sora) in this version since. idk. it makes sense

overlord & pythor - silco; ok this one might be a little confusing but overlord is technically the actual silco in this au, but pythor does a lot of the stuff in silco did in s1. pythor is more like another member of the chem-barons but he's the one the overlord trusts most, so he takes on a more silco-like role rather than just one of the other barons. but in the overall structure of the chem-barons, the overlord would be silco. iygwim

harumi - singed; THIS ONE SOUNDS A LITTLE SILLY I KNOW. but i felt it sorta made sense considering the other pairings. also. reviving garmmy and all... instead of a daughter i feel maybe she'd want to revive her parents? smth like that..

jay - jayce; guy whos trying his best but he lowkey sucks at it. yeah that. i feel whatever happened to jayce in the arcane might reflect well into his DR arc? yeaghh

cole - mel; this ones a LITTLE undecided but my idea is that he was taken in by vangelis or smth. her brother would be vania. or it could be the other way around. idk yet..

zane - viktor; uhhh. he would Not be a robot in this au but Yeagh i felt like this fit a bit.

pixal - sky; ^

skylor - cait; this ones also undecided!!! i can maybe see cole and skylor being switched around. im honestly not very sure yet.

wu - heimerdinger; wu and garm are still related here! theyre both long-aging creatures, except they went to separate places. wu went to topside and garm went to the undercity, and they have not spoken in a very VERY long time. :3

ok i have like an entire au guys sorry. ive been rotating this one for awhile. ill try to be brief tho bc i dont rlly feel like typing out a lot in this post but basically. echo was dr julien's original son who died and he built zane as a replacement and now echo's ghost is out for revenge bc hes mad about being replaced (so instead of possessing lloyd he possesses zane yk). morro is a robot built to fulfill the green ninja prophecy/kill the dark lord but he has been unable to fulfill his purpose bc it was done by the Real Green Ninja and so he has a bit of a one sided competition w lloyd and he joined the SoG in order to be the first to defeat garmadon when hes resurrected bc he just wants to fulfill his purpose. hes crazy ok. anyway heres some other doodles from when i was testing out the concepts and designs and stuff :P

Cole Brookstone-The Preeminent Incarnated.

The Earth Ninja was wise not to engage the Green One, instead he rallied a group of people to his cause…frantically searching for those who were unaffected by the Green Ninja’s corruption.

However, when the False Prophet was born, the Rebels were forced to flee to the Lone Performer’s domain. Driven mad by the Green One a few weeks prior, The Lone Performer slew the Earth Ninja…

Pierced to his chest, The Earth Ninja did not survive his injuries and succumbed to the sweet release of death…however, upon his death did he discover a great tragedy, his soul was still cursed despite his ritual in The Day of the Departed…ending up in the Cursed Realm instead of the Departed Realm.

Desperate to escape and return to the Mortal Realm he made a devastating deal with the Cursed Realm herself. To provide her with a body to re-enter the Mortal Plane, thus allowing him to live…

Now returning to the Merged Realms, The Earth Master was no more…gone was his mind, soul and body all that was left was The Preeminent…taking over the his existence and cursing those who stand in their way.

Cole is one of ‘The Devastation Three’ which means he’s one of the most destructive alongside Nya and Lloyd.

Cole is not allied with anyone, his only loyalty is to his own realm, and those he ends up cursing. He mainly avoids Lloyd however as Lloyd’s powers sort of conflict with his…we’ll get to that once I get to Lloyd.

So yeah, Ghost!Cole but with a twist, he actually dies here. (I also placed a little LostShipping detail so yeah)

I imagine that Cole wouldn’t have turned evil on his own will, he’s too grounded for that and for timeline reasons I didn’t add the skull sorcerer as his way to turn evil because this takes place in DR (Somewhere)

So yeah, Cole’s not really evil? He just doesn’t have a consciousness anymore…how Cole can cross realms is because of The Merge (And other reasons that I can’t decide yet)

Yes, I know Ghost Cole is such a generic choice, but give me a break here I was running out of options. And since Cole already saw the affect Lloyd did against Nya and Kai I doubt he’d step a foot near Lloyd for the time being.

Cole is more dangerous because he affects the Merged Realms in a grander scale, his presence able to send Ghost Armies to whoever and whatever he wants to curse (Possibility of Morro being here)

However he is weaker than Nya and Lloyd, Nya for obvious reasons (Water + Ghost = Death) and Lloyd because somehow Lloyd’s powers negate his and end up making it so his Ghosts don’t come back.

Ninjago au where the movie is a reincarnation of the series pre DR

Morro and Lloyd are bio cousins now(movie), they weren't before(series).

Morro remembers what happened at Stixx. Lloyd does not. Morro remembers EVERYTHING about his (and Lloyd's cuz of the possession thing) past life. Lloyd remembers none of it.

The other ninja remember none of it.

Morro is the only one who knows.

And he feels guilty because he is watching this sweet little boy grow up, and he doesn't understand why- HOW- he could ever hurt him.

Then Lloyd goes to middle school. The bullying starts. That sweet little boy is being HURT. And Morro is there to see it happen.

So Morro steps in to help. And things get better for Lloyd. He still gets rude looks and mean comments, but things are good.

Until high school starts. Morro graduates and moves out, sure that it won't get worse than that.

But it does.

Morro is now forced to watch as this once sweet boy is hurt for things he can't control, things he had no choice over.

And he realizes, he did this before. He hurt Lloyd for things that were out of his control. That was him.

Guys hear me out -- Ninjago DR AU where Morro manages to leave the Departed realm (or the space that used to be the Departed realm but is now in the merged lands) and kind of. appears on the ninja's doorstep. He's held on to a bit of his power as a way of defying destiny. The ninja absolutely hate the idea of keeping him around but he's the only one who can properly teach Euphrasia and also knows what's going on in the Departed realm.

And because he's still technically only like fifteen, not having aged since he died, he's now actually more similar in age to Sora, Arin, Wyldfire and Euphrasia than the OG ninja. Even Lloyd is/acts older than him.

He's the designated gay emo cousin of the monastery. People would definetly use that plant mister that Lloyd has on him when he's being annoying if it wouldn't kill him.
