“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
You screamed when you heard a voice coming from behind the open refrigerator door. You quickly shut the door and saw a boy you didn’t recognize standing in your kitchen.
“Oh my God. Where did you come from?” You asked as you put a hand over your pounding heart to calm it.
“Lower east side of Queens. And you should probably put that back.” Peter said and nodded towards the beer you had just taken from your refrigerator. Once you calmed down from the scare, you threw your guard back up and narrowed your eyes at him.
“Thanks for the advice, random boy in my home, but I think I’ll stick with my original plan of getting drunk by the pool.” You smiled sweetly at him. You started to walk out of the kitchen when Peter grabbed the beer bottle out of your hand without even touching it. He pulled the web he had used off the beer and quickly disposed of it before putting it back in the refrigerator.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t let you do that. That’s Mr. Starks beer and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want his underage daughter drinking it.” Peter said, sounding genuinely apologetic
“I’m 20. I’m like 6 months under age.” You rolled your eyes and went back to the refrigerator. You started to pull it open but Peter pushed it closed.
“Then in six months, I won’t stop you.”
“I’d like to see you try and stop me now.” You scoffed and opened the refrigerator again. You took out a bottle of beer and dangled it in his face for a moment to show him you’d won. He reached for it but you yanked it back, making him stumble forward. With your faces close together now, you smirked before pushing him away.
“As fun as this has been, I gotta go.” You said and started to leave again.
“I’m gonna have to tell Mr. Stark that you’re drinking his beer. I wouldn’t want him to think I’m the one doing it.” Peter called after you. You froze in your tracks as you tried to think of a way to get him to keep your secret. You looked down at the silky robe you were wearing over your bathing suit and got an idea. You subtly opened the robe and pushed it open so that Peter could see your boobs in your bikini top.
“Are you sure you have to do that?” You asked as you batted your eyes at him. Peters eyeline didn’t flinch and he didn’t so much as glance down at your busy.
“Nice try.” He chuckled. “But I was raised by an aunt who grew up during the second wave of feminism in the 70s. Your eyes are up there. That’s the only place I’m looking.”
“You have an answer for everything, don’t you? Who even are you?” You grumbled and tied your robe shut.
“I’m Peter. Your dad hired me to babysit Morgan for the week while he’s away.”
“Wait, what? Why wouldn’t he ask me to babysit?” You asked, feeling slightly insulted.
“Probably because you’re irresponsible.” Peter shrugged.
“You don’t even know me. What makes you think I’m irresponsible?”
“The beer bottle in your hand.” Peter said simply and you realized he wasn’t trying to insult you. You sighed and handed him the beer bottle before getting a sinking feeling inside.
“I didn’t even know my dad left.” You mumbled without looking at him. You didn’t want him to know this, but it hurt you that Tony left without saying goodbye.
“He left this morning after his goodbye ceremony with Morgan.”
“After his what?”
“The ceremony where they say goodbye and he gives her enough kisses and hugs for each day he won’t be here.” Peter explained, making you feel even worse.
“Oh.” You said quietly.
“He doesn’t do that with you too?” Peter asked when he saw the disappointment on his face. You quickly threw a sarcastic smile on as you put your guard back up.
“Nope. I’m the first born daughter. He doesn’t do anything with me.” You tried to laugh it off but you couldn’t hide that it hurt you. He was always so quick to shower Morgan with attention but when it came to you, you felt invisible.
“I didn’t even get a text that he was leaving.” You said, mostly to yourself.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Peter asked sincerely and took a step towards you. His tone was so kind that you almost gave in. But instead, you got defensive, just like you always did when someone tried to care about you.
“Yeah. Can you braid my hair too? And maybe we’ll even have a pillow fight?” You said sarcastically before rolling your eyes at him.
“Your words say one thing but your tone says another.” Peter replied. Just then, you heard a crash followed by Morgan crying in the other room.
“Hm. Your boss is calling you.” You snorted and pointed towards Morgan’s bedroom.
“Coming Morgan.” Peter called and ran towards her bedroom.
“Have fun playing dolls. I’ll be out by the pool.” You called after him before grabbing a beer bottle and going out to the pool.
You laid down on one of your sun chairs and had a good fifteen minutes of quiet until you heard the sound of the sliding door.
“Hi Y/n!” Morgans muffled voice pierced through your earbuds. You took and earbud out and lowered your sunglasses to see Morgan and Peter standing by the pool.
“What was that?” You asked.
“I said hi.” Morgan repeated as she nervously played with the goggles in her hand.
“Oh. Hey.” You gave her a quick smile before putting your sunglasses back up. Morgan looked up at Peter for reassurance and he nodded at her to let her know he would handle it.
“Mind if we join you?” Peter asked as he walked up to you. He looked at your body for just a split second before looking back into your eyes.
“I do mind, actually. I came out here to get away from all the baby stuff.” You said and gestured to the floaties in Peters hand. Morgan overheard the comment and looked down at the ground.
“Don’t worry. We’ll stick to the shallow end. Come on Morgie.” Peter said triumphantly and went back to Morgan. You tried to go back to your music but couldn’t help but watch Peter. He tugged his shirt off and dropped it on the ground before putting on some sunblock. With the protection of your sunglasses, you unapologetically checked him out and paused your music so you could focus. Peter then knelt down and applied sunblock all over Morgan’s face. You couldn’t hear them, but Peter was making Morgan laugh louder than you had ever heard her. He then helped her put on her floaties before putting her goggles on her. You couldn’t help but smile at how sweet he was with her, but that fondness quickly dissipated when they started going in the water.
“Peter, wait. Can she even swim?” You called to them as you pulled your earbuds out.
“No. That’s why we have floaties.” Peter said as he held Morgan’s hand and walked down the pool steps with her. You chewed your bottom lip as you watched them go fully into the water. They started to splash each other but all you could think about was how little she was compared to how deep the water was. You got off your chair and walked over to them.
“Wait. I don’t like this. It’s one thing when there’s a lifeguard but it’s making me anxious for her to go in the pool with just me and you here. If something happens…” You trailed off and looked to Peter for help.
“Nothings gonna happen. Don’t worry. I have super quick reflexes and I’ll be with her the whole time.” Peter assured you.
“But she’s so little.” You said nervously as you looked at Morgan.
“Watch this.” Peter said and grabbed one of the diving rings. He dropped it but shot a web at it before it could touch the water. Your eyebrows went up and you found yourself impressed with Peter.
“I’ll be even quicker if it’s her. I promise. She’ll be safe.” Peter assured you. Curious of him now, you sat down on the edge of the pool and put your feet in the water.
“How did you do that?” You asked him. “You did it before too.”
“I’m Spiderman.” He shrugged.
“You’re what man?”
“Spiderman.”
“Spiderman? So you have spider powers?” You laughed and expected him to say no.
“Yes. And it’s not-“
You cut Peter off by covering your mouth and bursting out laughing. Peter couldn’t even be upset because he was too charmed from hearing your real laugh for the first time.
“How did you possibly get spider powers? We’re you bitten by a super spider or something?” You laughed and leaned your chin on your hand to look at him.
“Yes.” Peter sheepishly admitted.
“WHAT?!” You burst out laughing again and clapped your hands.
“Shut up. Your dad doesn’t even have powers. He just has a metal suit that does all the work.”
“It’s an iron suit, genius. Not metal.” You said and tapped the side of your head. Peter gave you a look and you realized your mistake.
“Iron is a metal, isn’t it?” You asked him.
“Yeah. It is.”
“Whatever. Go play mermaids with your boss.” You snorted and stood up.
“Fine. I will. But it’s really sweet that you were so worried about her.” Peter said with a teasing smile.
“I wasn’t worried about her. She’s not even my sister.” You said in a quiet voice so Morgan couldn’t hear.
“She’s your half sister. Is there a difference?”
“My dad had her while I was a floating around as a pile of dust for five years. I don’t even know her.” You shrugged and gestured to Morgan, who was sitting on the pool step with some mermaid dolls.
“Then why don’t you come in the pool with us and get to know her?” Peter whispered to you.
“Pass. I don’t babysit.”
“It’s not babysitting if it’s family.”
“You’re right. At least with babysitting, you get paid.” You said and started to walk back to your chair. Peter sighed in disappointment to see you leaving.
“Come in if you change your mind.” Peter called after you. You gave him a sarcastic thumbs up before putting your earbuds back in.
Peter played in the pool with Morgan while you laid in the sun. You snuck glances at them every so often and Peter caught it every time.
“You know, the pools a lot more fun when you go in it.” Peter shouted to you.
“Boys are a lot more fun when they’re silent.” You shouted back.
“Come play with us Y/n!” Morgan called to you.
“Sorry. Can’t hear you.” You said and pointed to your earbuds. Peter saw the disappointment on Morgan’s face and quickly reassured her.
“She wants to play with you. She’s just busy.” Peter told her.
“She’s always busy. She never wants to play with me.” Morgan said quietly.
“Maybe it’s just because you guys are so far apart in age. She’s a little too old to play.” Peter tried to convince her.
“I guess so.” Morgan sighed. Peter looked back over at you and made it a personal mission to get you two to connect before the week was over.
Peter didn’t see you at all the next day but caught you when you came in from a night out. You came stumbling through the front door and immediately took your heels off to ease the pain. You looked up to see Peter in his pajamas on with Morgan on his hip. He was humming something in her ear as he bounced her up and down.
“Oh my God. Are you gonna breastfeed her too?” You laughed at the sight in front of you.
“Shh. I finally got her to sleep.” Peter hushed you and checked to make sure Morgan was still asleep.
“How? Did you tell her the story of all the girls you’ve dated and she felt so uncomfortable in the silence that she fell asleep?” You asked him.
“Very funny.” Peter narrowed his eyes. “And what makes you think I haven’t dated any girls?”
“Everything about this makes me think you haven’t dated any girls.” You said and gestured to Peter and Morgan.
“You may be right. But that doesn’t mean I can’t date them if I wanted to.” Peter whispered.
“It absolutely does.” You whispered back and wandered into the kitchen. When you got in there, you saw a cup of water, a plate of toast, and some ibuprofen. You smiled at the kind gesture from Peter before downing the ibuprofen. He wandered into the kitchen after putting Morgan in her bed and smiled to himself when he saw you eating the toast he made for you.
“So what about you? How many heirs and princes have you dated?” He asked you teasingly.
“None. I don’t date.”
“Really? Why not?”
“Because boys are stupid and not worth my time.” You shrugged and took another bite.
“I mean, that’s absolutely true on all counts, but don’t you want somebody to love?”
“No. I have me.” You shrugged as you looked down at the plate of toast Peter had made you. You felt like you had let him in just a little too much and started to get defensive again.
“How come its powerful when you don’t date but lame when I don’t?” Peter asked as he walked closer to you.
“Because mines a choice. Yours is sad.” You replied. You didn’t like that you were being mean to Peter, but it was your natural instinct to push people away when they were kind to you. You looked into Peters eyes and decided to fight against your nature.
“Thank you for the toast. And the water. You didn’t have to do that.” You smiled sheepishly at him.
“No problem. Can you just do me a favor and let me know when you’re going out next time? I don’t want to be a nag but I am the babysitter, so I kind a need to know where the babies are.”
“Fine. But just so we’re clear, you’re Morgans babysitter. Not mine.”
“Got it.” Peter chuckled. “And I’m sorry if it feels like I’m smothering you. It’s just that my natural instinct is to take care of people.”
“Aw. You’ll make a great mother one day.” You smirked and patted his chest.
“Thanks.” He blushed. “So where were you tonight?”
“A party.” You shrugged.
“Ooo. Fun.” He clicked his tongue. “Did you meet anybody worth mentioning?”
“I just told you. I don’t date.”
“Ever?” He asked with a teasing smile.
“Never.” You said simply. Peter looked down at the ground and shook his head.
“Huh. That’s too bad.” He smiled softly as he looked up into your eyes.
“Why is that too bad?” You wondered.
“No reason. Goodnight.” Peter smiled sweetly at you before heading off to bed. You frowned in confusion but shrugged it off and went to bed as well.
The next morning, you went down to the kitchen to follow the smell of pancakes. You walked into the kitchen to find Morgan sitting at the table with a high stack of pancakes in front of her. Peter was busy giving her pancakes a face using whip cream before squirting some whip cream into his mouth. When he looked up, he made eye contact with you and quickly put his mouth over his hand.
“Y/n. Hi.” He said with a mouthful of whip cream.
“Hey Peter. Having fun?” You laughed and raised your eyebrows at him.
“Good morning. Breakfast?” Peter asked and handed you a plate of pancakes.
“Thanks. You make a pretty good housewife.” You winked at him and took the plate.
“You mean that?” Peter blushed and pretended to tuck hair behind his ear. You laughed and rolled your eyes at him before taking a seat at the kitchen counter. He sat across from you before talking some pancakes for himself.
“So how come you’re staying here for the week? Shouldn’t you be in school or something?”
“I’m off this week. Spring break.” Peter told you.
“Hold on. You’re spending your spring break babysitting a five year old? Exactly how much is my dad paying you?”
“Nothing. He said he needed a babysitter on short notice and I want him to know I’m as reliable as I am responsible.” Peter shrugged and took a sip from his coffee. You raised a skeptical eyebrow at him and he looked away from you.
“Plus, he pays for my tuition.” He mumbled.
“Ah, there it is.” You snorted. “I’m just saying, he pays for my tuition too but that doesn’t mean I’d willingly change a diaper.”
“I go on the big girl potty now.” Morgan said, making you roll your eyes.
“Congrats. Same.” You said sarcastically. You thought Peter would laugh but he just looked at Morgan to see if she was okay.
“You just don’t see the appeal because you’ve lived in a place like this your entire life. I live in a s-h-i-t-t-y apartment that’s the size of your walk in closet. Plus, I love kids. So why wouldn’t I spend a week living in mansion with a great kid?” Peter shrugged, making sure Morgan overheard.
“Because you have no friends to hang out with instead?” You asked sarcastically.
“Funny.” He rolled his eyes. “What about you? You’ve been home most of the week too.”
“I don’t feel like going out.” You shrugged and took a bite of your pancake.
“Why not? Don’t you have daddy’s credit card to spend?” Peter teased you right back.
“Don’t you have your virginity to keep forever?” You whispered so Morgan couldn’t hear.
“Listen, since you’re asking nicely, I’ll give it to you.” Peter said and held up his hands.
“Woah. What would your feminist aunt say to that?” You laughed.
“She’d tell me I was the most handsome and special boy in the world.” Peter shrugged, making you laugh again.
“You know what, I think she may be right.” You humored him, making Peter blush. You were enjoying the time you got to spend with him, only to be interrupted but Morgan tugging on his sleeve.
“Peter, can we go play now?” She asked.
“We’re talking, Morgan.” You said, a little coldly.
“Oh. I can go play by myself.” She said sadly and took a step back.
“No, it’s okay. Go head to your room. I’ll be there in a minute.” Peter quickly assured her. You couldn’t hide the disappointment on your face as Peter chose her over you. You knew it was silly, but it hurt you to see him get up. You’d been having a nice conversation and now he was gonna run off the second Morgan needed attention. It reminded you of your relationship with your dad and that made hot tears of frustration come to your eyes. You got out of your seat before Peter could see you cry but he stopped you.
“Y/n, wait. Please stay.” He said, sounding a little desperate. You stopped and turned to him wigh folded arms.
“Why don’t you join us? We can all hang out together.” Peter suggested. He was feeling the same connection you were and didn’t want to leave, but his job was to be with Morgan. Deep down, you knew that, but it still hurt to see him leave you at a moments notice. You looked between him and Morgan as a familiar sinking feeling set in.
“I already told you. I don’t babysit.” You said and started to walk away.
“Maybe we can talk later?” He called after you, but you didn’t respond. Peter sighed before putting on a happy face for Morgan.
After sulking in your room for a little bit, you decided to go check on Peter and Morgan. You couldn’t help but overhear the constant laughter coming from Morgan’s room and wanted to see what could possibly be that funny. But most of all, you felt guilty for the way you behaved in the kitchen and wanted to say hi to show them you were sorry.
You pushed open Morgan’s door and burst out laughing when you saw Peter in sparkly red lipstick, messy blue eyeshadow, and hot pink blush. All this was topped off by the three curlers he had in his hair.
“Oh. This is good.” You laughed and took out your phone to take a picture.
“See Morgie? I told you you were a natural at makeup.” Peter said, making her smile.
“Can I give you a makeover Y/n?” Morgan asked hopefully.
“Hard pass. I’m not trying to look like that.” You laughed and pointed to Peter, making Morgan’s smile fall.
“If you didn’t come for a makeover then why are you here?” Peter asked you.
“I just wanted to see what you two dorks were doing.” You shrugged. “And I wanted to tell you I’m going out tonight. Since you asked me to tell you.”
“Oh. Okay.” Peter nodded as his disappointment set in. He hoped to get to talk to you some more after Morgan went to bed, but now he knew he’d spend the night alone.
“See you later, Pete.” You waved to him before shutting the door.
“Bye Y/n! I love you.” Morgan called after you.
“You too.” You unenthusiastically called back.
Tensions were high the next day when you didn’t come down for breakfast. You didn’t feel like seeing Morgan or Peter so you stayed in your room until you needed to eat. You got a snack from kitchen but got distracted by Morgan’s voice in the other room.
“Oops.” Morgan said following the sound of glass shattering. You ran into the room and saw a picture frame on the floor in many pieces.
“What happened?” You gasped and pulled her away from the frame so she wouldn’t get cut by the glass. Once she was safely away, you went to go inspect the frame.
“I’m sorry. It was an accident.” Morgan apologized. When you saw the picture she had broken was the only picture of you and Tony in the entire house, you felt something snap inside. You had to walk by wall after wall that was covered in pictures of Morgan from the years you were snapped away. There were family portraits that you weren’t in all over the place but the one photo that Tony hung up of the two of you when you were five now laid in pieces on the ground. You looked to the side and saw the one of million of Morgan’s toys that had done the damage.
“Ugh! You did this on purpose you little brat.” You stamped your foot and felt more like the brat yourself.
“Woah. What’s going on in here?” Peter ran into the room when he heard the shouting.
“She broke a picture frame.” You said and picked the picture of out of the glass.
“On accident!” Morgan quickly explained.
“Oh please.” You scoffed and folded your arms. Peter knelt down beside Morgan and pulled her into his arms.
“Y/n, she’s five. I really don’t think it was on purpose.” Peter said in a kind tone.
“It’s the one picture hanging up around here that she’s not in. How could it not be on purpose?”
“I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry.” Morgan whined.
“You know what? Things were so much better before you got here.” You snapped and stormed out of the room with the picture still in your hand.
You sat in your room for a little while until you heard a knock at your door. You hoped it was Morgan so you could tell her you were sorry for overreacting, but it was Peter that opened your door.
“Hey. Any interest in some hot coco?” Peter asked as he peaked his head into your room. You were sitting on your bed with your chin resting on your knees as you stared at the picture of you and Tony.
“Don’t. Don’t be nice to me right now. I don’t deserve it.”
“If it makes you feel any better, she cried the other day because she didn’t like the spoon I gave her for her ice cream. Five year olds don’t really have control over their emotions yet.” Peter said as he took a seat on your bed.
“Neither do 20 year olds.” You mumbled and turned away from him.
“Do you think we could talk?” He asked and set the hot chocolate down on your nightstand.
“What do you want, Peter? An explanation?” You sighed. “I have nothing to tell you. I don’t know why I’m so angry all the time. I wish I knew but I don’t. So just go away before I snap at you too.”
“I don’t need an explanation. I just want to know what you’re thinking. I hate it when things are unbeknownst to me.”
You laughed at his choice of words and reluctantly looked at him. He looked like he genuinely wanted to know what was bothering you, so you let your guard down.
“I disappear for a couple years and when I come back, my dad is married and has another daughter. And I wasn’t there for any of it. He dated my mom for years but always told her he wasn’t the marriage type. Then all the sudden, I get blipped and gets married to his assistant and has a kid with her? He doesn’t even talk to my mom anymore. And he barely makes time for me.” You said for the first time out loud. Peter stayed silent as he listened to you but put his hand over yours to let you know he understood. You felt tears come to your eyes the more you thought about it.
“I just…I just feel like he completely moved on to his new family. I’m the only part of his life that still hangs around and sometimes…”
“Sometimes what?” Peter asked when you trailed off.
“I feel like he doesn’t want me anymore. I think he wishes I wasn’t around.” You admitted as your tears spilled onto your cheeks.
“What? That’s crazy.”
“Is it? I feel like I’m just his random adult kid from an old relationship that hangs around his house while he raises his new kid with his new wife.”
“I’m sure he doesn’t feel that way. You’re his firstborn. You’re irreplaceable.”
“I thought I was. Until he replaced me.” You said as you stared at the picture of you and Tony. Peter looked at the picture too and smiled a little. You were about Morgan’s age in it and smiling wider than he had ever seen before. You traced the outline of your dad with your fingernail and let out a sigh.
“I know I could be nicer to her. I know she’s just a kid. But she was already five by the time I first met her. I never saw her grow up. We never had a chance to bond because I wasn’t there. Now I’m here and I have no idea how to connect with her so I don’t even bother trying. I’m not good with kids like you are. I have no idea how to talk to them.”
“Is that the only reason you won’t play with her?” Peter wondered. You looked him in the eyes and smirked a little, knowing he saw right through you.
“I resent her.” You admitted. “I resent her for replacing me. My dad missed me so much that he had another kid and now, I’m nothing to him. I’m just Morgan’s older sister. I can never measure up to her.”
“You’re a lot more than that. You’re you. And there is nothing replaceable about that.” Peter said as he rubbed his thumb over your knuckles. You looked at your intertwined hands and smiled a little.
“Plus I had to teach Morgan how to put her hands in her pockets yesterday. She didn’t even know how. So there’s not much to measure up to.” Peter added, making you laugh.
“Why are you so good at this?”
“Because. It’s my job to take care of Tony Starks daughters.” Peter shrugged.
“Wait, he didn’t actually ask you to look after me, did he?” You raised an eyebrow.
“Here. Why don’t you read the text.” Peter offered as he handed you his phone. You looked at him skeptically before taking his phone to read his texts.
“Hey Penis Pecker tell me what you got for number seven on the geometry homework or I will stick my finger up your-“
“Oops. Wrong text.” Peter quickly grabbed the phone. “That’s my friend Flash. Here.”
You laughed at him before looking at the new text he had pulled up.
“Hey Pete the treat. Thanks again for offering to babysit. I’m sure you’ll have your hands full with my youngest, but please keep an eye on my Y/n too. She seems distant lately and I’m not sure if she’s a typically youth raging against the machine or if there’s really something bothering her. Her door is always closed when I try to go talk to her so maybe you can get through to her in a way I can’t with your youthful boyishness.” You read off Peters phone. You felt tears come to your eyes to see all your fears put to rest.
“He’s right. You are very boyish.” You laughed softly and wiped your face.
“He cares about you. He just doesn’t know how to show it.” Peter assured you as he brushed some of your hair off your forehead.
“I guess I don’t really give him a chance. But he could still try harder. He didn’t even say goodbye to me before he left.” You pointed out.
“That’s my fault. He was about to go into your room to say goodbye and I kinda told him not to.” Peter sheepishly confessed.
“What? Why?”
“I sorta gave him the idea that if he gave you some space, you’d come to him. I told him not to try so hard.” He admitted.
“You’re giving my dad parenting advice?” You chuckled.
“Yeah. And clearly I should stop because it didn’t work. I tried to help him out but I just ended up hurting you.” Peter sighed and shook his head in embarrassment.
“I don’t know. I think it’s sweet you tried to help him.” You said as you played with his fingers. Peter blushed all the way to his ears as he looked up into your eyes.
“You’re sweet in general.” You smiled softly. “You’re a really nice guy, Peter. I don’t know why I’m so mean to you. I don’t know why I’m so mean to everyone.”
“That’s okay. I know why.” Peter said and nudged you a little.
“You do?”
“Yeah. It’s probably because you’re on your period.” Peter said sweetly. You narrowed your eyes at him before cracking a smile.
“Oh really?” You humored him.
“Yep. Women are really overemotional. It’s not your fault. If you learned to plug it up-“
“It’s less funny and more offensive now.” You cut him off.
“I’ll stop.” He said immediately. You laughed and looked into his eyes again. This time, you didn’t feel the urge to push him away. Instead, you wanted him closer.
“Do you think me, you, and Morgan could hang out tonight?” You asked him.
“I don’t know which one of us would love that more. Me or her.” Peter grinned.
“Probably you, perv.” You mumbled out of the corner of your mouth.
“Yeah. Who am I kidding? Its definitely me.” Peter chuckled. You looked down at your intertwined hands again before giving Peters hand a squeeze.
“What if I’m not good at talking to her?” You asked without looking at him.
“Kids are easy to talk to. All kids really want is two things, to be happy and to make you happy. So just match their excitement when they speak and say what you think will make them feel special.”
“You think I can do it? I’m kinda a bitch.”
“I know you can do it. Come on. Let’s go see what she’s up to.” Peter said and led you out of the room with his hand. You got to Morgans room and knocked on her door without ever dropping Peters hand.
“Hey Morgan. Mind if I join?” You asked as you entered her room.
“Really? You wanna?” She asked excitedly.
“Of course. Where can I sit?” You asked when you saw the tea party she had set up with some of her stuffed animals.
“Right here. Next to me.” Morgan patted the spot next to her that was conveniently left empty. When you sat down beside her, you saw there was a place card with your name on it that Morgan had made. Your name was sloppily written in crayon with hearts all around it.
“This is so cute. How’d you know I was coming?” You asked and picked up the card to see it better.
“I always leave this seat open for you in case you ever want to play with me.” Morgan explained as she poured you some pretend tea. You froze and looked up at Peter, who gave you a reassuring smile. The urge to shut her out went away and instead, you wrapped and arm around her.
“Thanks, Morgan. That was really sweet of you. It’s the best seat in the house.” You said and hugged her to your side. Morgan eagerly hugged you back before turning to Peter.
“Peter, can you get a tiara for Y/n please?”
“Gems or feathers?” Peter asked her. Morgan looked at you and you seemed to read each others mind.
“Feathers.” You said in unison. Peter smirked and got a tiara with pink feathers out of Morgans toy box.
“Ooo. Just my style.” You danced a little as you put the tiara on your head. While you did that, Morgan placed a sparky blue tiara on Peters head.
“How do I look?” He asked you.
“Very handsome. Like a prince.” You answered, making him blush.
“Peter is Queen of Spiderlandia.” Morgan explained to you.
“Is he now? Very impressive. And what are you the queen of?” You asked Morgan.
“I’m not the queen. I’m the princess.” Morgan replied as she pulled a drawing out from under her teacup. She handed it to you and you saw a stick figure of a girl with your colored hair in a poorly drawn tower. Down below, a stick figure with Morgan’s hair color stood on the ground with a sword in her hand.
“You’re the queen. But you’ve been locked in your room by an evil force that Peter said was called “puberty”. And that’s why you never leave your room.” Morgan explained her drawing to you. You felt sad inside to hear the explanation she had made for herself to justify why you never left your room, but you kept on a happy face for her.
“Aw. Did Peter say that?” You smiled sarcastically at him.
“I don’t think Peter said that.” Peter said quickly.
“I’m the princess. And it’s my job to set you free.” Morgan continued as she pointed to her stick figure at the bottom of the drawing.
“Well thank you, princess. Your work here is done. You set me free. Now I can come to your tea parties.” You smiled softly at her as you tucked her hair behind her ear.
“Really? You will?” She asked hopefully.
“I will. So I can come hang out with my sister.” You nodded and she threw her arms around you. You stiffened at first, then hugged her back. Peter watched with a proud smile as the two of you finally connected.
“One sugar cube or two?” Peter asked you and held up the bowl of pretend sugar cubes.
“Two please.” You said and held up your tea cup.
“One for me.” Peter said out loud as he pretended to put a sugar cube in his cup. You couldn’t help but laugh at how dedicated he was to the performance.
“And eight for Princess Morgan.” He said and pretended to put exactly eight cubes into her cup.
“Eight?” You laughed in surprise.
“I’m five. Give me a break.” She shrugged and took a sip of her pretend tea.
“You sound just like dad.” You laughed again and Morgan smiled proudly.
“Speaking of dad. Mr. Stark just texted me.” Peter said as he checked his phone.
“What did he say?” You wondered.
“Oh wow. He’s home early.” Peter read off his screen.
“He is?” Morgan asked.
“He is.” Tony said from the doorway, making you all jump.
“Well look at that. My girls are getting along. Isn’t that something?” Tony smiled fondly and leaned against the doorframe.
“Daddy!” Morgan cheered and ran to hug him. Tony scooped her up and kissed her cheek before looking at you.
“Hey Y/n.” Tony said in a low voice and threw up a peace sign.
“You’re so weird.” You laughed and got up to hug him. Tony froze in surprise and looked at Peter for answers. Peter gave him a double thumbs up so Tony hugged you back tightly.
“I missed you.” You said as you rested your head on his shoulder.
“I missed you more, sour patch. Is this the part where you’re sweet again?” Tony smiled teasing at you but sounded genuinely curious.
“Nope. Now get out. I’m spending time with my sister.” You said playfully and pointed out the door.
“So Peter can stay but I can’t?” Tony pretended to be offended.
“Yep. Girls only.” You replied. Peter cleared his throat and you gave him an apologetic smile.
“Sorry.” You mumbled. Tony kissed your cheek before leaving Morgan’s room. You took her hand and sat back down at the little table to continue your tea party.
“Hey Morgan, do you think you could do my makeup after this?” You asked as you pretended to pour her some more tea.
“Yeah! Do you have somewhere special to go?” Morgan asked excitedly.
“I do. After this, Peter and I are going on a date.” You said simply, making Peter choke on his fake tea.
“Really?” Morgan gushed.
“Really?” Peter asked hopefully.
“Yeah. So make me look really pretty, okay?” You said and tapped Morgan’s nose.
“Okay.” She grinned and went to get her makeup kit.
“A date, huh? I thought I couldn’t get those.” Peter said
“Yeah, well.” You shrugged and sipped your tea. “Never say never.”

A rrequest if that okay. I want Lucifer x Angel daughter figure!Reader. Like before he fell, he had a share close bond with a child angel who look up to him like a father figure (she does look up to the other angels like they're uncles and aunt for her too but Lucifer is closer). Like sharing his ideas with ideas, teaching her to fly when she was a still a newborn, helping her with her powers (I vote for ICE POWERS ❄️), doing hobbies together like art. Kinda like Morgan x Tony Stark or like Scott Lang x Cassie
Her personality : Shy, kind, dreamer too but reserve, well-behaved, sensitive, and never like cussing
And aafter he fell in hell with Lilith, she was alone in heaven, growing up to be a well mature messenger of heaven .
While in hell, Lucifer tell the tale of a small angel who could have been her sister
What do you think, is it a good story
IT'S BEEN SO LONG
—PART ONE
pairing: Lucifer Morningstar x Adopted! Fem angel! Reader [platonic!]
fandom: Hazbin Hotel
genre: fluff and cute
notes: will be making a male version of this. Someone remind me.
PART TWO | NAVIGATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Luci, throw me up again please!” a childlike voice giggles and Lucifer smiles, his angel wings fluttering behind his back. In his hand is a small angel, no older than six, a bright smile on her face, a small halo above her head. Chubby baby cheeks he just wants to squish forever.
The older angel chuckles softly, “Alright, alright... 1, 2, 3, and up we go!” he cheers, throwing the small child up in the air making her giggle loudly, her small wings fluttering behind her back in excitement and Lucifer effortlessly catching her. Soft and gentle chuckles escaping his lips as he places a gentle kiss on the child's forehead making the small girl laugh, a childlike giggle escaping her lips.
She was one of the recently created angels and the older angels are tasked with watching over one child. Lucifer, one of the older angels was tasked to watch over a little one and he was paired up with this sweet child. He needs to guide her and make sure she won't have any trouble living in heaven.
“Luci,Luci!” the small girl calls out to him excitedly in his arms, Lucifer raises an eyebrow and looks down at the smaller angel that's on his arms.
“What is it little [y/n]?” he asks softly, booping her nose with his pinky finger. A small giggle leaving the girl's lips.
“Look! Look! I can do this!” [y/n] says with a small giggle, showing her tiny chubby hands to him and slowly it glowed a pale blue and accidentally shot him a blast of snow... To his face.
Laughter was heard coming out of the smaller girl's lips as Lucifer stood there in shock. Still caught off guard by the snow attack on his beautiful face.
Regardless, he wasn't mad. It wasn't strong yet to hurt him but boy, it was so cold. He was amazed that the child's powers have already developed at this age, he can tell she'll be strong in the future.
Using his hands, he wiped off the snow from his face before chuckling as he looked down at the laughing girl that was in his arms.
“Meany little lady, shooting me with snow.” he says with a small pout making the smaller girl giggle, “'m sorry, I was supposed to make a snowflake...” she murmurs softly and apologetically.
Lucifer smiles softly and ruffles her hair, “It's fine little [y/n]. You didn't mean to.” he says with a smile, making the girl's frown disappear as she returns back to smiling brightly at him. Lucifer eventually helped her in slightly controlling her powers and the girl managed to finally create snowflakes.
Lucifer started calling her 'Little snowflake.'
And [y/n] eventually started calling him dad.
Tumblr media
All throughout her life, she spent it underneath her father's wings. She shared the same beliefs as him, as his influence.
She was just 11 years old when her dad fell from grace.
The small child sobbing and cried in Michael's arms, as she watched Lucifer falling down and away from heaven. Lucifer crying silently as he watched his daughter's crying face, her tiny arms reaching out to him but Michael held her back. They don't know when they'll see each other again.
She was later on educated why he was cast out of the heavenly city, she didn't fight or argue with the higher angels, choosing to be obedient while deep down, believing that her father was a good man and still is.
She was taken underneath Gabriel's wing, the older woman guiding her how to use her powers.
But she misses Lucifer, her dad. She misses his warmth and comfort.
She grew up to be one of the most powerful archangels. Both she and Gabriel are God's messengers.
Tumblr media
Timeskip. The reader would be somewhere around 27,000 ish years old but looks like in her early twenties.
[Y/n] chokes on her tea as Gabriel announces the news to her, the tea splashing out of the cup. Thankfully not spilling on the important documents that are on the desk in front of her, they were in the messenger office doing paperwork.
“Excuse me? Adam is dead?” [y/n] asked in disbelief and the older woman nodded, “Apparently.” Gabriel says with a shrug.
It has been millennia since then, where she has last seen her father. She grew up without him but his guidance continues to guide her all throughout her life.
She grew up to be a strong and mature woman, has risen up the ranks, a rank below the Seven Virtues.
[Y/n] places down the cup of tea on the table before looking at her mentor, Gabriel.
“And you're telling me because?” [y/n] asked with a blank expression, already fully prepared for a new job to be placed on her shoulders. Gabriel deadpans at her, “Unfortunately the exorcists failed to bring his body back here and we don't have any detailed report on what happened and I want you to go down there to do those things.” Gabriel explained, a hand on her hip.
[Y/n] deadpans back at her, “Do I look like Hu Tao to you or something?” she asked and Gabriel raised an eyebrow at her, confused who this Hu Tao is.
“Who?” Gabriel asked with a confused tone, “Tao.” [y/n] answers seriously.
(10/10 comedy right there)
Gabriel still couldn't understand her, please someone end her misery.
“Anyways, I want you to go down there okay?” Gabriel says sternly, [y/n] sighs very loudly.
“I am not a funeral director nor a press. I am a messenger of God!” [y/n] says a deadpan, her lips pressed in a thin line. Gabriel sighs. How did Lucifer manage this kid?
“Besides, why do we need to bring his body back here? Can't we just leave it there to rot or something? Dude is finally where he belongs.” [y/n] asked flatly with a raised eyebrow, Gabriel sighs once more. She was not amused.
Eventually, [y/n] didn't get to escape the new responsibility as she was pushed into a portal by none other than Gabriel, a portal to hell.
Tumblr media
In hell, specifically the pride ring. An angelic portal can be seen opening at the red skies of the city. The portal closing briefly after a figure emerged from it. The phenomenon catching and sparking the interest of the hell dwellers.
[Y/n] sighs softly as she falls, falling backwards making the tip of her wings pushed in front by the pressure of the wind. Closing her eyes for a few moments, she could recall the day Lucifer, her dad fell from grace.
Is this what he felt during that day? She asked herself before opening her eyes, turning her body so she could face the approaching fiery red grounds of hell, extending her wings to its full size, fluttering as she finally stabilized herself and kept herself afloat.
Once she was close to the ground, she straightened her wings so she could dive faster.
Landing on the ground roughly but gracefully, a crater formed underneath her shoes where she landed. Extending her arm in front of her, a golden hologram forming above her palm.Time to look for that damn body.
In the distance, up in a small hill was a hotel called Hazbin Hotel.

Tom! Peter Parker x Stark! Male Reader
Tumblr media
☆ — MASTERLIST — ☆
REQUEST: I need a Itimidating Reader x Tom! Peter Parker. Like reader could be Captain American or Iron Man's son and he has been dating Peter secretly cause you know Peter is shy about things and doesn't want to make things big. So reader holds back but he had enough when one days he witnessed Thompson and other bullies doing the worst to Peter. So he does what any boyfriend will do, show those bullies their place and maybe maybe, Avengers comes and gives a piece of their mind as well to those bullies. Cause I like Avengers being a found family with them being protective of their youngest member 😭😭🤌🏻🤌🏻
CONTENT/WARNINGS: Fluff, slight angst, reader is Tony starks son, mentions of Morgan and Pepper, Ned being terrible at secrets, MJ supports, mature language, slight kissing, short shot, flash is a bully, mentions of violence, mentions of hero work, teenage love, school stuff.
TAGS: @nobodylivesson
WC: 2k
NOTES: I tried my best to suit to your request, I wrote this one late at night and was probably half asleep after completing it 🥲, but either way I hope you really enjoy it! I wasn’t able to bring in the rest of the superhero family since I didn’t know how to slip it in without going off track. But either way I love the whole superfamily fics and the concept of Stony adopting Peter ( ´∀`) those are my comfort fics.
Tumblr media
Peter wasn’t ashamed of who he was dating he just didn’t make it a big deal that he was dating Starks son. When Y/n joined the school he had already known him from the time that he was working at Starks internship. He’d see him around the lab either helping his father on a few side projects or just to bother Tony into leaving work and getting a proper meal and rest.
While Tony was away it left both Peter and Y/n on their own and giving them time to actually know each other. Their side conversations turned into flirting and then light touches until Y/n was the first to make the move on Peter and asking him out. Peter was a shy kid and never got the attention from people he liked nor was he good at socializing without stuttering or hesitating on his conversations.
Ever since Y/n joined Peters school the two were closer than ever and enjoyed their time together. Peter kept their relationship a secret in order to prevent the other students from finding out that he’s dating Tony Starks kid. Even if he told anyone about it they wouldn’t believe that he’s dating someone like Y/n.
It didn’t take long for Ned to find out that Peter was dating.
It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Ned, his best friend since childhood. The reason he never told him was because he knew how terriable his friend was at keeping secrets. When he found out that he was the cities hero there were times that he almost slipped up and exposed his secret to those around him and always had to remind his friend that no one was suppose to know that he’s Spider-Man.
Ned had caught the two making out on Peters bed.
Peter had forgotten about inviting Ned over for a weekend sleepover due to him being distracted by Y/n coming over and having dinner with both him and his aunt May. After that they’ve left the table to spend time in Peters room which resulted into them making out like most teenagers would and then getting caught by Ned.
His poor friend could only stare in shock when he found out and after a couple of minutes of shock he finally started to ask them question such as; “How did you meet? When did you start dating? Are you really dating Starks son?”
The sleepover turned out to be a very interesting night for Ned.
Ned was still getting used to the fact that Peter was dating Y/n, but Tony wasn’t too happy about the fact that his son was dating Peter the kid that he chose to pass down his work to. Y/n did work with Tony but the kid was never interested in becoming an inventor or an engineer and instead focused more on things that made him feel happy. Tony never pressured his son to take over and instead accepted his goals and dreams.
Peter expected Tony to interrogate him when finding out that he’s dating his son, but instead of being asked on why he was dating his son. His question so we’re mainly aimed towards Y/n who ate in silence during their dinner together with Pepper sitting next to Tony and his sister Morgan sitting across from Peter.
“Why him?”
“Because I like him.”
“Why not some other guy or girl?”
“Do you not want me to date Peter?”
“I don’t want you distracting him from work.”
The conversation was mainly between Y/n and Tony while Pepper was kind enough to speak with Peter about school and his aunt and how they were doing, trying to keep both son and father from killing each other while having their first dinner. By the end of the day Peter became a favorite to the Stark family especially with Morgan who loved Peters attention and placed puzzle games with him winning the little girls heart over in less than seconds.
Things were going fine until the bullying picked up at school.
Flash had noticed how close Peter was being with Y/n during lunch and class hours, thinking that Peter was trying to get extra brownie points with Mr. Stark and befriending his son in order to get closer to the man. He knew that Starks kid was going to be in their school and had grown jealous by how close Peter was getting, ruining his opportunity to befriend Y/n.
When Y/n wasn’t around, Flash and his goons would quickly go after Peter. The good thing is that Peter was great at escaping and was always getting around from Flashes wrath, either running inside a full classroom during lunch hours or running outside where he’d climb onto the roof top in order to avoid Flash.
Peter never told Y/n and he never found out.
The bullying never happened when Y/n was around and whenever Flash approached them he’d always fake his emotions which Peter hated seeing. He could see through Flashes fake smiles and laughs when he conversed with Y/n, trying to act like he’s the most nicest person ever to meet.
Peter wasn’t the only one who saw through flash’s lies so did Y/n. He could see a liar from across the room and knew how they acted. He spent enough time working in his dads company to sniff out liars and had gotten very good at it.
It was the week that Y/n was suppose to work with his father on a new invention, testing them out and figuring out if they have potential to be sold to the public, but recently Y/n had joined a club with Peter and took place after school hours. He’d shoot his father a quick text that he wasn’t going to the lab and quickly rushed off to join the club in hopes of spending more time with Peter and their other members.
When entering the room he finds MJ and the other students sitting on a round table, discussing about their new plans for the club. His eyes search the room and doesn’t find Peter which makes him frown a little before sitting next to MJ. “Where’s Pete?” He whispers to her and noticed how her lips twitched into a smirk.
“Miss your little boyfriend already? Don’t you guys have all periods together?”
MJ had figured Peter and Y/n out in less than seconds when they first met resulting in Y/n befriending her. He rolls his eyes at her comment. “We aren’t always in class together…he has biology eighth period and I have history.” He mumbled out the last part knowing that he wasn’t really providing much and that he and Peter did in fact have majority of classes together.
“You guys are gross.” MJ comments with a grin on her face. “You two are perfect for each other.”
Y/n had dealt with MJ’s teasing for a long time that he’s grown used to it. He gives her a small nudge to the shoulder and focused back to the other who were still planing out this years activities within the club, writing things down and getting the teachers opinion. It went on for ten minutes at Y/n was the first to realize that Peter still hadn’t arrived which slowly started to worry Y/n. His instincts were telling him to go look for him.
“I’m going to the bathroom be back in a bit!” He tells the others with a smile before rushing out of the room and down the hall. Whenever Peter came late to the club he always told him before hand, either letting him know that its a spider thing or perhaps his aunt needed him he was always made aware until now.
He didn’t get anything from Peter and started to get worried as he searched the hallways. They were packed a few minutes ago with students getting ready to head home and now the halls were half empty with a few students lingering around and either attending their own club's or waiting on a ride or friend.
As he rounds the corner he noticed a small crowd of students up ahead, raising a brow as he decides to make his way over. It doesn’t take him long to recognize that familiar beat up backpack that Peter always carried. He’s told Peter many times that he could get him a new one since the one he had was already tearing up, but Peter always declined his offer since he wanted to be the one to earn it and claimed that his bag was still in ‘perfect’ condition and survivable.
The sound of someone colliding into the lockers makes him walk faster to the point where he’s jogging over and finding Peter with a pained look on his face. “Trying to win yourself another internship, Parker? One wasn’t enough?” The sound of Flashes voice gets Y/n’s attention.
Noticing the state that Peters in makes him frown.
“You’re always following Y/n around like a puppy, I bet he’s finding you annoying by now. He should hang around someone who isn’t boring.” Said Flash while Peter glared up at him and tried to get back up without being kicked down by one of his little goons again, before Flash could saying anything else a fist connects with his check, startling everyone when he stumbled back in shock.
“Hey—What the hell!?”
Flash had a hand against his bruised up cheek and turns to see who was responsible only to freeze in place when his eyes land on Y/n who was huffing angrily at him. He’s standing in front of Peter in a protective way while glaring at Flash. “Touch my boyfriend again and I’ll make sure to break your nose this time.” He speaks up.
His words catch everyone by surprise, but was surprises everyone is the fact that Y/n and dating Peter.
“Boyfriend?!”
Y/n smirks at Flashes shock. “Yeah and I love his annoying ass.” He points over his shoulder to where Peter is getting back up and blushing deeply by his words, wanting to roll his eyes. Once Y/n finishes his threats and Flash and his little goons run off he’s quick to turn around and face Peter. His angry expression quickly fading into one of worry as he approached Peter and quickly checks him. “Are you hurt anywhere did you break anything? I swear to god if he did I am going to fu—“
“I’m okay, I’m okay.” Peter is quick to cut in, chuckling a little before placing his hand on Y/n’s wrist and pulling his hands away form him, reassuring him that he’s fine. “Did you forget? I can heal pretty quick.” His words cause Y/n to pinch his shoulder. “You idiot! I don’t care if you can heal I was worried for you, why didn’t you tell me this was happening?”
“Because I can handle my own battles.” Peter mumbled in response which didn’t make Y/n any happier. “That doesn’t mean that you have to do them alone,. I mean what if something happened to you? Who was going to know or help?” He continued to rant out to Peter, pouring out his own feelings and frustrations towards Peter being a stubborn person.
Once he’s ranted and calmed down he placed his hands on Peters shoulders. “Please, tell me when something like this happens again. I won’t hesitate to punch Flash again.”
Peter slowly smiles and laughs. “Can’t believe you punched Flash, I always wanted to do that but never had the guts too. I was afraid that my strength would probably kill him.”
“Yeah, well it felt great doing it he was a pain in my ass.” Peter laughs at his boyfriends words. It was satisfying to see Flash getting punched and the look of surprise when he found out that they were dating each other.
Peter looks up to Y/n. “Flash knows about us and knowing him he’s gonna tell the entire school.” He was growing nervous at the idea of everyone knowing that he’s dating Starks kid only for Y/n to pull Peter into a quick kiss and smiling at him. “Let him tell everyone at least I can kiss you whenever I want without hiding it.” Peter admired Y/n for being so calm during situations like these.
“Think we should get to our club meeting?” Said Peter.
Y/n smiles with a nod. “Yeah, come on you were missing out on the fun plans we were making.” He takes Peters hand into his own and heads down the hall feeling better now that he’s able to hold Peters hand without needing to keep their relationship a secret anymore.

Said you needed love.
Tumblr media
ᯤ Started: 25/01/24.
ᯤ Finished:
Tumblr media
Summary:
Tony loves his wife, Pepper. He loves his last daughter, Morgan. And he loves Peter like the son he never had. But you? his first born daughter, he doesn't even know your name.
tw: daddy issues (everything that this entail), no corrections yet.
*reader is fem. slow burn. Peter x reader. Kinda rivals to lovers.
Tumblr media
Prologue.
You are a genius, you got that from him. You study from home, a teacher for each subject meticulousy selected by Tony to give you the best clases of the country. Not because he cares for you, but because you have to reach the expectations of the people. Imagine, the daughter of Tony Stark, aka Iron man, being an ordinary person.
You didn't need all the teachers, you were a genius because it was in your genes. That wasn't enought to meet your father expectations tho.
You did everything in your power to get a proud look (or at least a look) from your dad. You have the best grades, you learned two different languages in a time lapse of two months, you read five books of classic literature in three days, you knew how to play seven different instrument plus you knew how to sing, you were a professional ballet dancer, you knew aeronautical and chemical engineering, and the list could go on and on.
Nothing seems to satisfy him.
Sometimes, because Pepper have told him to or because he couldn't escape the situation, he would mumble a "congrats" or "yeah, good" while he kept working on whatever he was working. Not even looking at your direction.
You loved Morgan, she was probably the only person in your house that actually cared for you. And you were happy she didn't have to live the same horrible situation you did. But you couln't help the self-sabotaging feeling of jealousy that warmed you heart every time they were together. You didn't understand. What does she have that i dont? why can't i be enough like she is?
Pepper loves you, she tells you that recurrently. But she never did anything to get Tony to be a proper dad. It isn't her responsability but, she is your mother. She sees you suffer because of him and does nothing.
You live in a house with two adults and a five year old little girl, and the only person that treats you pretty...is the five year old. Therefore you love to spend time with the Avengers, they fill a space in your hearts that should be fill by your father. Especially Bruce, he is so fatherly loving, it warms your heart and put tears of joy in your eyes.
Having Bruce to care for you is so important that if he asks you to have sexual relationships with him you would say yes just to keep having his love. You would have sex with all the avengers man if that meant them loving you.
When you heard Tony tell Pepper about the arrival of a new Avenger of 15 years, your heart stoped. What if she is better than me? What if they love her more than they love me? what if-
Peter. That's the name your father said. It was a male. That was soothing. You usually didn't like boys of your age, but maybe this one was different.
You already know that Tony loves him. The way he talks about Peter is almost shivery. "Peter is a genius, that boy has a future." "He is a good boy. Sweet and all" And that aunt of his... such a display" "The Avengers are going to love him".
Now the soothing feeling is gone and the fear is back.
He sounded good. That was bad.
You can't hate someone good. But you can't like him neither.
He wasn't presented to the Avengers yet. You didn't know how he looked yet. But the boy was already tearing apart the only part of your life that wasn't crumbling.

Chapter Four | Serie Masterlist | Chapter Six
------------
[Earth 717]
Silence was drowning out the entire complex. Wanda and Natasha didn't leave your bedroom; they spent almost all their time crying. Your aunts were not better. Kate tried to keep the team together while Yelena was pacing on the rooftop.
All the avengers were deadly silent. The only noises that could be heard came from Morgan's lab, where she was trying everything and checking the same data for god knows how long. After your moms and America came back, it was like time had stopped.
Tony was about to see his daughter when a portal in a wall caught his attention. Doctor Strange was finally back, and with him a little hope. It didn't take more than five to gather everyone in the meeting room, where Peter and America explained everything to the sorcerer.
Strange always told you to be careful around people who manipulate the time, and of course, usually, he would be a little angry that you took a big risk like that, but not today.
"How can I help you?" He asked.
"Actually, we don't know. We tried everything, but nothing seemed to work." America said.
The magician was intensely thinking before something came to his mind. "I think I have an idea. I can't promise that it will work, and if so, I don't know if it will help, but at least we will know if something bad happens to little Maximoff." Now every gaze was on him, wating for his idea. "But first we need to go somewhere else." He finished his sentence before opening a portal to Kamar-Taj.
The heroes were following him, a little unsure of what was on his mind. Once they reached a spacious place, he sat down.
"I'll need America, Wanda, and maybe Peter and little Stark." He said while he crossed his legs and waited for them to sit with him. Once everyone was ready, he started to explain his plan. "So, we know how much Y/n is usually connected with Wanda, and we also know that she's not in this universe anymore, which is why I need you," he said, referring to America.
"And why us?" Peter asked.
"You were among the last ones who were the Y/n when she disappeared, so you still have a fresh memory of her. I'll use my power to mentally teleport us back to the accident, and then with Wanda and Y/n's connection and America, we should be able to track her more efficaciously in the multiverse."
Everyone held their breath while a mix of orange and green auras started to cover the group. The memory of the incident started to play in front of everyone. They all looked at that until the moment. You were approaching Khrono after he pinned America against a wall. You lifted your knife, and when you were about to throw it, everything froze.
"Strange, something is wrong with America." Natasha said.
The brunette had her eyes totally shining, but not like when she used her power; it was different. It felt like she didn't control what she was doing. Wanda tried to reach her, but she could not do anything. The younger woman collapsed on the ground.

[Earth 616]
Fury was leaving your room before seeing Maria Hill and Dr. Cho.
"Sir, you made two big discoveries; you need to see that." The doctor said and gave him an iPad while they made their way to his office.
"What is this?" The man asked.
"Scarlet's genetic code." Maria said while they entered the room. "Don't you see something strange?" she asked before showing the same thing on a big screen.
In front of the man's blank face, Cho started to talk. "I analyzed her DNA like you asked. I found two interesting things in her DNA. First the most obvious one," she typed on some bouton on the tablet, and two other genetics were now surrounding yours, "her DNA is the exact same as Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff. It's like…"
"It's like she's their biological mother." Fury said, and Maria nodded.
"But's that not the only weird thing; look at this," the doctor said before showing the genetic code of every Avenger. "Don't you see something different?" she asked him, and when he shook his head, she started again. "I don't know how to say that, it should be impossible, but there is no trace of any male DNA in hers."
"What do you mean?" the man asked, visibly curious and surprised.
"Usally, when two people decide to have a kid, there should be some trace of both genders DNA in their kid's DNA, whatever the gender." Maria said this time. "Even when a couple decides to go through IVF. But she doesn't. At first, we thought that her dad was someone who wasn't registered in the SHIELD or SWORD data base, but even if we compare with the international data bank, we have no match."
"It doesn't look special like that, but it's impossible even for us or any organization to do something like that. So we exclude Hydra and the Red Room from the list of potential places that she's from." Cho said.
"For a moment, we thought that she might be from another planet, but according to the data that Carol Danvers sent us, there is only one type of alien who can reproduce like that, but their DNA is closer to snail than human." Maria explained.
Fury was staring at the screen, totally unsure of what to say.
"Oh, and before we leave, I need to show you that." The doctor changed the screen. "This is a scan of Scarlet's power; at first, it's okay, but if we look closely, we can see some inconsistent gaps in her energy."
"Which means?" Maria asked this time.
"Two option. Option one, and maybe the most accurate, is that she's losing control over her power, which can explain why she almost kills Sam and the others while she seems totally non-aggressive toward them. And two, even if it's maybe the most crazy one, is that she may be slowly losing her power. The spider boy told me that he saw her falling from the sky just after a red aura around her disappeared." The doctor explained.
"Well, that's more than I imagined. Don't let anyone know about that. Not yet." Fury said, and the two women nodded before leaving the room.
~~~~
Peter was on his phone while a portal opened in his apartment. "Hey, America. What are you doing here?" He asked the young brunette.
"Peter, I think I just found something weird." She replied. "I was curious, so I traveled through the multiverse to find this girl; you know, to try to learn more about her. But there is my probleme I--" She couldn't finish before feeling a big headache.
"America!" Peter caught her before her body hit the floor. "Hey, America, wake up! What should I do? I can't go to see the avenger; I can't—Strange, I need to call Doctor Strange." He picked up America's body and gently laid her on his couch before grabbing his phone.
~~~~
You were staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out what happened, before you heard the door open again. This time, you sat up immediately and stared at the woman in front of you.
"I bet you didn't see that coming, right?" Wanda said before taking a chair and sitting in front of your bed. She stayed like that, saying nothing, just analizing you. "They didn't lie when they said you looked like me and Natasha."
"What are you doing here?" You asked.
"I can ask you the same question." She shrugged. When you didn't talk, she said. "Actually, I saw your fight; you're pretty good, even if you still have some things to learn."
"What do you want?"
"Me, nothing. But you, what do you want, Scarlet?" She smirked. "That's a pretty good name, no? I love scarlet; it's the same color as our power. And even more crazy, it's sound like Scarlet Witch." Her expression suddenly became more dark, and she stared at you. "Now come on, tell me, who are you, Scarlet?"

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Five years ago, your best friend along with half the population had been wiped out by Thanos. Your brother had come back from space and told you that Peter was gone. That Peter, Dr. Strange, and everyone that had been with him other than Nebula was dead. You didn’t take it well. Hell, you hadn’t taken the last six years well.
Now your brother was trying to get you to stay as far away from him and the others as they try to get everyone back. “Anthony Stark, I listened to you the first time Thanos’ cronies showed up and look where it got us. I’m helping you to get everyone back,” you growled. “And let’s be completely honest, you need all the help you can get. Half of the Avengers turned to ash after the snap.”
“(Y/N), this time travel thing is too dangerous. Feel free to help afterwards, but let me do this.”
You shook Tony’s hand off your shoulder, standing to your full height, arms crossing. “What, sit back and watch something go wrong and you not come back? Don’t you think I’ve seen enough of my friends and family die? I’m not adding you to that list!”
Tony sighed. “I’ll come back. Please don’t make me worry about you. Stay with Bruce and make sure we all get back.”
“Tony-”
“(Y/N), I’ll make sure that Tony comes back,” Steve Rogers, ever the diplomat of the group.
You glared at the pair of them before looking away from them and nodding, “fine.”
_______________
You had no time to process that all of your friends were back. You were too busy trying to make it to Tony. You aimed for Thanos, knocking him away from your brother. You shouted at him, you weren’t exactly sure what you were saying, but he was the reason for your suffering for the past five years.
Thanos got a couple of hits on you, tearing your suit to pieces. Your helmet was completely destroyed, you had one repulser, your chest piece was gone, and one of your boots was completely gone. He wrapped his hand around your throat, lifting you so your feet couldn’t touch the ground.
You used your only repulser to hit his eyes. In surprise, he let you go. You collapsed at his feet, coughing to get air into your lungs. Then Tony was in front of you, attacking Thanos. You picked up a fight with some of Thanos’ army who had closed in on you.
You finished with them just in time to see Tony with the stones attached to his suit. “NO, TONY NO,” you shouted, trying to make it to him. A blast of energy sent you backwards, but you were almost immediately back up and running to your brother.
You slid to a stop next to him. You captured his face in your hands, “why did you do that?” You kept repeating the question, feeling the tears overflow and streak down your face.
You don’t really know what happened next, but suddenly everyone was surrounding you. Pepper was telling Tony that he could finally rest, Peter was a mess. Tony placed a hand on your face, his own tears falling down his face. “You take care of Morgan. Don’t let her into the suits too young. Take care of Peps. I’m sorry. I love you Pipsqueak.”
Your shaking hand, reached his face. You couldn’t hide your tears from him. “It-it’s okay. I love-I love you too, Sasquach. R-Rest n-now.” You bent, resting your forehead against his own. You kept repeating that it was okay. You felt his last breath, the way his body went slack against yours. You spent a couple of extra minutes pressed against him in order to get your emotions under control.
You placed your arms under his knees and around his upper back. You stood, ignoring the pain in your own body. “Right, we need to get this idiot into his best suit, clean him up a bit, and give him a proper send off.” You cleared your throat. “Well stop standing around and get to work!”
______________
The funeral was the hardest part. You were holding Morgan and didn’t want to break in front of her. She needed at least one of you to be strong for her. With Pepper crying, it was up to you. As you watched the wreath bob on the calm water, you felt tears start to well. “Can we go closer to the water,” Morgan asked.
You nodded, not trusting your voice. You walked closer, setting Morgan down when she motioned for it. She walked to the water, placing her hand in it. “I love you, 3000,” she whispered. You covered your mouth with your hand, blinking back the tears.
Morgan motioned to be picked up again and you obliged. She placed a hand on your cheek, much like your brother had. “I love you...2000,” she stated. You couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled from your lips. Morgan joined you in laughing, wiping away some of your tears.
“I love you, 2000,” you responded after taking control of your body again. You walked back to Pepper, letting her hold her daughter as you needed a minute to yourself.
You walked away from them, going into the house while everyone was outside. You walked around, hand lightly dragging against different surfaces you passed. You paused at one of Tony’s inventions. He had always been the smarter of the two of you. You couldn’t match his intellect. He’d tried to teach you, but most of it had gone over your head. You’d have to learn it yourself now. You had a family to protect, along with the world. The world couldn’t go without an Iron Man, after all.
“I came in to help set up the food,” a familiar voice called from behind you. You sighed as he came closer. “But if you need a minute, I can leave.”
You were quiet for a minute. You were trying to gather your thoughts. “I thought I had lost everything and everyone I cared about five years ago. Tony was lost in space, I didn’t know where you were...then Tony came back and I was expecting to see you come out right after him, but you never did. Tony had to tell us that you were dead. You, Dr. Strange, those Guardians. I had hoped it wasn’t true.”
You turned your back completely to Peter. “I would have given anything to have you back at the time. I was-I was so down...My best friend was gone and I hadn’t even gotten to say goodbye. At the time, I thought I would have given anything...then you were back and my brother was dying. Should have been me-I was fighting Thanos before Tony stepped back in. I should have been the one with the stones, I should have gotten rid of Thanos and his army...I should have died.”
Your shoulders tensed as you fought against your tears. You were brought into his arms before you had time to fully put yourself together again. He turned you so that you could bury your head in his chest. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have left you like that...you shouldn’t have had to see your brother die. None of this should have happened.”
The dam broke and your body shook with sobs. Your arms wrapped tighter around Peter as his did the same. His heart broke to feel you shake against him. He knew that you hadn’t really cried over your brother since the day he died, but he didn’t think that you had been putting the blame on yourself. Had he known, he would have talked to you instead of giving you space.
“Let it out. Let it all out, I’ve got you,” he whispered in your ear. You clutched him even tighter, not caring that there were people probably watching you both as it was time for everyone to come inside and eat and reminisce.
As your crying began to subside, you loosened your grip on Peter, but didn’t move away from him. He put a little space between you and placed both hands on your cheeks, wiping the remaining tears away. He gave you a small smile that you tried to return. “Thanks Pete,” you whispered. “But we should set out the food.”
Slowly, Peter separated from you, and you both got to work. Once the food was ready, you let everyone in to get their plates. You walked back outside, finding Morgan, Happy, and Pepper. “Food’s out and ready...though I don’t think Miss Morgan is going to like any of it.”
“I want cheese burgers,” she supplied.
Happy, Pepper, and you looked at one another before laughing. “That’s exactly what your dad would say,” you laughed. “I think we’ve got hamburger meat in the fridge. I can start the grill and make some cheese burgers. I think that’s what Tony would have wanted anyway,” you gave a small smile to Pepper and Morgan.
“I think that’s a good idea. Are you sure you want to do it though? Happy or I would be glad to do it.”
“No, I’ve got it.”
You entered the house again, dancing around the crowded rooms. You grabbed the hamburger meat, cheese, tongs, a plate, and a lighter before exiting to the back of the house. You set out everything, putting charcoal in the grill and lighting it. You closed the lid, waiting for the smoke to push its way out in order to know that it was warm enough to use.
You began to make patties while waiting on the grill. As you waited, you remembered the multiple times Tony had grilled out. He wouldn’t let you anywhere near the grill, claiming that you would break something or hurt yourself. People would think that having a 20 year age difference would put kinks in your relationship with your brother, but they were wrong. It made your bond stronger. Sure, you guys fought, but it was always because one person was worried about the other.
You opened the lid of the grill, placing patties on the rack, putting the spices on them, before closing the lid again. You turned at the sound of the glass door sliding open and closed. “We decided to join you,” Pepper explained as Morgan pushed a chair closer to the grill and got up on it to watch you work. “Not too close Morgan.”
Peter exited the house, grabbing Morgan and putting her on his back. “You can see better this way, munchkin,” he stated as he stood close to the grill. “What are we making,” he asked.
“Cheese burgers!” You laughed at Morgan’s excitement.
“Miss Morgan gets what Miss Morgan wants today,” you added. You turned to look at Peter, “would you mind going inside and setting out hamburger buns and condiments? I forgot to do it before I came out here.”
“I’ll do that. You and Peter entertain Morgan.” Pepper left. You and Peter shrugged.
You turned the grill, opening the lid and flipping the burgers. You added spices to that side before  closing the lid again.
________________
Everyone was inside eating and talking, but you couldn’t just sit around and talk about your dead brother. You couldn’t sit and talk about the good times when it was your fault that he was dead. He had a daughter and a wife and a life that he deserved to get to live out. You had no children, no husband...it would have been easier if it had been you that died.
You sat down on the pier, letting your feet dangle in the water. Your heart hurt. Tony had been your life since you’d been born. Right after you were born, your parents had been killed. You had known Tony your whole life, longer than Pepper had known him. To think that you would never see him in person again...that hurt more than you wanted to acknowledge.
________________
Morgan Stark missed her dad. She knew that he wasn’t coming back, but she didn’t know why. As she finished her burger, she looked around the room. It was filled with all of her father’s friends. Some of them she knew, others she wasn’t sure who they were. She walked to the couch, standing on it and looking out the window.
Morgan could see her Aunt walking towards the Pier. She had noticed that her Aunt had been acting weird since she had come back from defending the Earth. She was more distant, smiled less, and seemed to be in a different world. She turned to her mother and the guy she decided to call family, Peter. “I Aunty (Y/N), okay,” she asked, turning her gaze back to the window.
Peter and Pepper joined her, looking out the window. “Your Aunt spent her whole life with your dad, Sweetheart. She knew him longer than I did and probably better than I did. To suddenly go from having your best friend beside you to not seeing him again is a lot to process.”
Peter didn’t answer Morgan, he just left the house and walked towards the pier. He had promised Tony that he’d look after you. He had promised that he wouldn’t let you blame yourself and that he’d help you get over Tony’s death. He walked quickly towards you, sitting beside you, not caring that his pants were going to get soaked.
He sat in silence with you for a while, watching you as you watched the gentle waves of the lake. “It’s not your fault. You didn’t get a chance to get the stones, Tony did. He knew what would happen if he used them, but he did it anyway to make sure that you, Morgan, and Pepper would be safe. He would always put the lives of the people he cares about above his own. You can’t blame yourself.”
You shook your head. You knew he was right, but it didn’t seem right. “I know Tony told you to look out for Pepper and Morgan, to protect them. He told me to protect and look after you and I can't do that very well if you stay silent.”
Your gaze turned to him briefly before turning back to the lake. “I hate that you’re right,” you stated.
“That’s a start.”

Seven Months Later
You placed the last of the decorations out. You had decided to hold Morgan’s birthday party at the new and improved Avenger’s compound. It had more space meaning that no one would be crammed like in Morgan and Pepper’s house. Peter walked in carrying the cake. “It looks perfect. Are Happy, Pepper, and Morgan on the way?”
“They are. Let’s get the cake out of the box and put the candles on it. I’m going to set out the other snacks and hopefully everyone is in place. Would you check on them while I get the snacks?” At Peter’s acceptance of the job, you walked off. Everything was going to be perfect. It was Morgan’s first birthday without her father, and you wanted to put the exuberance in it that he did. She deserved at least that much.
“F.R.I.D.A.Y., what is the status of the car?”
“They should be arriving in ten minutes. Peter is getting everyone into place.” You sighed with relief as you placed the last of the snacks out. You made sure everything was perfect before starting to walk out to meet your niece. “I am sensing a disturbance in central New York City.”
“What do you mean disturbance?”
“I can not get a clear reading.”
You sighed, contemplating. It was Morgan’s birthday, you didn’t want to abandon it before it even started. Then again, if there was a major problem in the city, Morgan could get hurt in the long run…
You quietly cursed, calling on your suit. “Inform Peter that I had an errand to run and to make sure that Morgan has a great time until I return.” F.R.I.D.A.Y. did as you asked while you flew off towards the disturbance.
A call came in on your suit and you cringed slightly as Peter’s face illuminated. “Hey Pete. I just forgot to get the ice cream. I’ll be back in a bit.”
“Are you in your suit,” he asked, completely ignoring your statement.
“Yes. It’s the fastest way to get the ice cream. I’ll be back quicker than I would if I had taken a car.”
He paused, seeming to think about your explanation. Finally he sighed, “alright. If you run into a lot of trouble getting ice cream please call me.”
“Promise, Pete,” you stated. You disconnected the call as you approached the disturbance.
You flew around the spot, not seeing anything. “Scan for anything out of the ordinary.” You landed, deciding to get a closer look. You could see light poles bent and a large crater in the ground.
“I was hoping to draw Thor out, but I guess you will do,” a voice called from behind you. You turned just in time to be punched backwards. “The metal in your suit is much stronger than I was able to get from around here.”
“Who might you be,” you asked before you blasted him away from you. “Scan him, F.R.I.D.A.Y...and don’t tell Peter or anyone what’s going on if they ask where I am,” you muttered to the A.I.
“So it is true. The original Iron Man is dead. How exciting,” the mystery man laughed in front of you. You shook him off as he placed his hands on the suit. You turned to see his skin ripple until it looked like your suit. “Thanks for the upgrade.”
He charged at you, and you met him, locking your grip around him. You were able to throw him into a building beside you. “From my scans, he is able to absorb anything he touches. It causes his body to become that substance. For instance, he is now made up of the exact alloys that the suit is comprised of.”
“So by using my repulsor against him-”
“He can use it on you,” F.R.I.D.A.Y. finished. You braced yourself as the blast came towards you.
“I bet that Thor is in the direction that you came from,” he stated before taking off.
You raced after him. You wouldn’t let him anywhere near the compound. You weren’t letting him near Morgan. “Back off, I haven’t seen Thor in months,” you stated, blowing him backwards. “Besides, we weren’t finished.” You hit him while he was down, sending him flying.
You don’t know what happened, but suddenly he was right in front of you, repulsor blasts aimed at your helmet on both sides and he was firing them. You let out a pained grunt as your vision went white and your hearing went out.
When you could see again, you retracted the helmet, wincing as part of it scraped your cheek. “F.R.I.D.A.Y., find Absorbing Man and take me to him.” The A.I. did as she was told. The second you saw him, you raced towards him, knocking him yards away from where he had been standing, staring at the compound. You had the helmet placed on again.
You picked him up, ignoring the fighting he was doing against you. “F.R.I.D.A.Y., figure out how we can hold him without him breaking out.” You flew until you couldn’t see the city anymore. You were over the ocean. This could either be a really good idea, or a really bad idea. You dropped him, following his descent.
As he hit the water and you saw his body start to shimmer, you pointed your hand, “let’s cool him off.” You froze his body, hurrying to grab him before he floated off. You started towards an old S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, hoping they would have a cell you could put him in that would hold him.
__________________
You entered the compound without so much as a sound, willing the suit off. You made a pit stop at your room to change your clothes and clean up a bit. You winced as everything hurt. You’d had to fight off the absorbing man at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility while the workers got a cell ready for him. Needless to say, he’d done a lot of damage. There was no way for you to hide the scrape on your cheek, or the bruising on your arms and face. You did cover it with make-up, but they were too dark to really cover.
Deciding that you wouldn’t be able to do much more, you grabbed the ice cream you had promised to bring home and made your way to the party. The first person you saw was Pepper. She watched you, frowning slightly. You offered her the ice cream with a small smile. “Aunty (Y/N),” Morgan yelled, running towards you.
You dropped the bags of ice cream opening your arms and bracing yourself. It was going to hurt with her going full speed. You bit the grunt of pain away as you wrapped your arms around your niece. “Sorry I was late, Bub. I had to get your favorite ice cream and they were out at the first few places I went.”
Morgan leaned back slightly, frowning at the scratch on your face. “It’s okay. Peter made sure I had a good time.”
“That’s great! Have you opened your presents yet,” you asked.
“No! I wanted to wait for you.”
You placed her down and she ran back to Thor, Clint, and Wanda. You stood again, wincing slightly. Peter came into your vision, a firm frown on his face. He raised a hand to your cheek, gently tracing the cut. “You promised,” he whispered.
“I promised my niece an amazing birthday. If you or anyone else left in the middle of it, she would have known something was wrong.” You placed your hand over his on your cheek.
“And what if you hadn’t come back. Do you think Morgan would have an amazing birthday then?”
“She has you and Pepper and the rest of the Avengers.”
“She adores you, (Y/N). She’s convinced that you are her only true link to her father because you knew him longer than anyone in this room.” Peter’s voice barely rose, but he brought it down again. “And what about me? How do you think I would feel if you didn’t come back?”
You averted your eyes. “You’d get by, Peter. You’d find someone else to fill my spot. You’re stronger than I am with the whole loss thing. You’d be okay.”
His nose flared at your words. “No one can replace you. You’re everything to me, my whole world. Don’t you dare say that I would be fine if you were to never come home,” he growled. He placed his forehead on your own. “I love you and I’m afraid when you leave in your suit that you won’t come back. I’m afraid at the thought of having to live the rest of my life without you. So don’t say that I would get by if you died.” He leaned in, capturing your lips in a short but sweet kiss.
“Ew,” Morgan commented from right beside you. You both turned to see her standing next to you with a piece of cake. A chuckle left your lips at her face. “Can you do that where I can’t see you?”
You turned your blushing face into Peter’s chest. “You’re the one who told me to go for it, Short Stack,” Peter responded. You could feel his neck heating up so you knew he was starting to blush as well.
“I meant when I wasn’t here, Spidey,” she sassed...she’d learned that from you. Usually you were proud of her and how she sassed everyone, but at the moment you were mortified.
“You talked to a six year old about your feelings for me and then took her advice to ‘go for it’?” You leaned back to raise an eyebrow at your best friend.
“It was solid advice,” he defended.
You shook your head, stepping out of his embrace. “I think Morgan and I have some bonding to do as I missed the first part of her birthday party. Think you can manage to scoop out ice cream?”
He sputtered for a second. You were already walking away from him when Peter was able to form a coherent sentence. “I share my feelings and all you do is walk away with your niece,” he called out to you, drawing several more eyes than before.
“You got your relationship advice from my niece and now you can’t let me do the same?”
“I mean-I thought-okay?”

You and Peter have been dating for almost a year now. You both decided to get together after all the chaos that took place in Europe. You two have been friends for quite a while before that, so the fact that your friendship with Peter flourished into something even better is one of the many reasons why you adore him.
His birthday is tomorrow and you wish to make it as special as it can be. Though you’re not exactly sure how to do that. You know your dad would’ve easily bought something tremendously big and written a cheesy yet short letter with it, and Peter would love it. But if you did the same, it wouldn’t be right. Right?
The night before his birthday, you were in a spiral. You had already planned a surprise party for him at his apartment though that was the least of your worries. You were pacing around your room, unsure if the gifts you’ve been preparing for weeks was enough or if you should add more things.
Over the years you’ve been friends with him and the months you’ve been dating him, you put together memories and experiences all in a scrapbook. It looked cute and simple on the outside, but once you opened it up, the pages were filled with photos, letters, doodles, and colors. Many references or inside jokes were scattered along the side margins and stickers were put accordingly. You made sure it was perfect, but your gift still felt incomplete to you.
You wanted to be extra. You had to be extra. You remember your mom saying it was something you got from your dad. That man was always one for his dramatics. So you stayed up a bit later than you should’ve, making tiny little paper stars with sweet compliments, affirmations, and advice in them. Then you made as many as you can to fill up a glass jar shaped like R2-D2.
Though to you, that still wasn’t enough. So you searched and searched and eventually found some vintage Star-Wars comics. Ignoring the fact that they were over a thousand bucks, you bought a dozen or so. His gifts were spread across your bed and you stared at it for what felt like hours.
Is this enough? Is this too much? Will he love it? Will he even like it? Shit.
You remember wanting to sleep and putting it all aside to figure out in the morning. You might’ve forgotten his birthday was the next day with how much you focused on the gifts than the actual date, so you woke up with panic.
You also remembered there was one last thing you wanted to get for Peter but once you glanced at the clock, it was already noon. You overslept.
You feel your heart drop immediately realizing that you weren’t able to text or call Peter a happy birthday or good morning. You assume he must be worried, or hurt or maybe upset? You place your face in your hands and fall into deep thought. Then it hit you, the surprise party is in three hours.
“Morning Friday, read my text messages and voicemails please,” you groggily lean against your bed rest.
“Are you sure, Y/n? You have 243 text messages and 94 voicemails,” Friday informs you.
Your eyes widen and you shake your head, “Uhm, actually just read the ones from Mom, Peter, Aunt May, and Happy please,” you mutter.
“Understood,” Friday responds, beginning to go through your messages and voicemails, “Mom has messaged you, “Morning honey. Had to go to some meetings. Nanny is leaving at 1, please watch Morgan. I’ll meet you at the party. Could you bring Morgan with you when you go?” Peter has not messaged or called you. Aunt May has messaged you, “Hi dear! I’ve already baked up some cherry pies for the party, when are you going to be over to decorate? By the way, Peter went out and is probably patrolling,” with a smiley face and heart. Happy has messaged you, “Hello, I already ordered the catering, and went over the invite list. Are you up yet?” and he also left the voicemail saying, “Hopefully you’re up by the time you get this. Most of the Avengers are coming, except Thor, the Saviors, no wait, the Guardians of whatever they’re called, and Captain Marvel. I’m sure you could figure out why. Give me a call when you’re up.” Done.”
“Shit,” you whine loudly. You throw yourself out of bed and get to your morning routine. You quickly tidy up your room, take a quick shower, go through your skincare routine and get dressed up. You decided to put on some makeup and wear nicer clothes for once given it’s your boyfriend’s birthday.
You look around your room and inhale deeply, “Just that one last thing,” you remind yourself and walk off. After getting what you need, the nanny informs you that she’s leaving. You walk over to Morgan’s room and knock the door before entering, “Hi princess, you ready for Spider-Man’s birthday?”
She turns around, all dressed up in a pretty floral dress, “Hi sissy, yes! Don’t you mean, your friend boy?” she giggles, running up to you.
You roll your eyes playfully, “You mean boyfriend? Yes, c’mon pretty girl. We’re going to go now.”
An hour or so later, you’re making your way over to Aunt May and Peter’s apartment with Morgan in the backseat. You felt bad for not greeting Peter at all today but you decided to make it a part of the surprise. “He still has a tracker in his suit!?” you burst out in laughter as you stop at a red light.
“Seems like Tony didn’t get rid of it before, I don’t blame him,” Happy mutters. “You got everything right? Morgan, Peter’s gifts, the decorations, and your head?”
“Yes Happy,” you glance into your back seat, checking in on Morgan and seeing the piled clutter. “I feel like Santa Clause with a bunch of gifts and an elf in the backseat,” you chuckle. Morgan gasps and makes a silly expression at you that brings a smile to your face.
“Maybe you are with all the cookies you eat,” he jokes.
“You’re one to talk, anyway where’s Peter now?” you ask as you drive off as soon as the light turns green.
“He’s swinging around, I saw the news. He’s interacting with fans and interviewers, a pretty rare case.”
“True, he must be trying to distract himself. Am I the only one who hasn’t greeted him yet?” you ask, nervously biting on your bottom lip.
“Yep.”
“Shoot, well I’m sure he’ll understand.”
“Let’s hope so, I’ll see you and Morgan when you both get here. Gotta help May out with the pies.”
“Sure, the pies,” you tease, causing Happy to roll his eyes and end the call.
You feel your heart stop as Peter suddenly gives you a call. You fight the urge to pick up and shower him in reassurance and love, but ignore for the sake of the surprise.
Ten to twenty minutes later, you and Morgan arrive at May and Peter’s apartment. You smile and knock on the door, struggling to hold everything in your arms while holding Morgan’s hand.
“Hello hello, you two,” Aunt May opens the door with a bright smile on her face. She lets you in and helps you out, “Took you long enough.”
“Sorry, I overslept. I wasn’t sure if my gifts were enough,” you pout and kiss her cheek.
“That’s okay. Morgan baby, Happy’s in the kitchen.” May smiles and ruffles Morgan’s hair. Morgan hums and hugs her leg, running off.
“These are all your gifts for him? Sweetheart, it’s his birthday not Christmas,” she giggles. “I’m sure he would love anything you get for him, even if it was a cheap lego set.”
“I know I know, it’s just Peter has been through so much. I feel like he deserves the world,” you say bashfully.
“You’re so cute,” she hums and helps you place the many gifts on a certain table. “Remember, you have been through a lot too.”
“Yes, but today’s his day,” you cross your arms. “Anyway, enough chatter. We should decorate now, everyone’s coming over in an hour right?”
“Yep. I also told Peter to swing around for a while and bring Thai food home at 4. He thinks it’s just going to be him, Happy and I. I told him you have work,” she says, grabbing some decorations.
“Okay, perfect. I feel so bad, I haven’t communicated with him since last morning,” you huff and grab some streamers.
“I’m sure he understands, kid gets busy too,” Happy walks over from the kitchen with Morgan trailing behind him. “Man, are these all your gifts for him?” he glances over at a table filled with only your gifts.
“Y-Yes? Why is that such a bad thing,” you groan.
“It’s not, I think,” he glances at May who gives him a look. He puts his hands up in defense and slowly walks back into the kitchen.
“You’re fine, honey. Also, I love your dress, isn’t that?” she tilts her head.
“Yeah, it’s the dress I was wearing on our first date,” you smile to yourself, glancing down at your cherry red dress. It fit perfectly, not too loose or tight and it had pockets. Something you and Peter were always amused by.
After the three of you finish decorating, the guests begin to arrive. Most of the team showed up and you and Peter’s close friends. You let out a sigh of relief and lean on the fire escape railing, looking out at the city. You glance at your watch, “Almost time.”
“Hey there,” you hear from behind you. You look back and see Happy.
“Hey.”
“You doing alright? Peter’s coming soon,” he says and walks next to you, leaning against the railing.
“I know, I just feel like. I did too much? Too less? I’m not sure, I just wanted this day to be perfect for him especially after last year,” you mutter and glance at Happy with teary eyes.
He smiles sadly and pulls you into a hug, “It’s absolutely perfect. You know, Peter isn’t going to be the only one who’s proud.”
“Who else? You?”
“Well, besides me and a bunch of other people. Your dad,” he murmurs.
You feel your heart tighten and you stifle a cry, stuffing your head into his chest. He sighs and hugs you close, “Thank you.”
“No, thank you. Sometimes I feel like he never left, because everyday I see him in you,” he pulls away, holding your shoulder.
You smile softly and nod, “T-Thank you, Happy really,” you sniffle.
“Of course. You should probably tidy up, your makeup’s running,” he takes a step back.
You laugh half-heartedly, “Alright. Could you tell everyone to get in their places?” you begin to walk towards the apartment.
“Got it,” he nods and follows you back inside.
Your heart was racing, everyone wasn’t sure if he was going to show up at the front door or his room. Happy gives the signal that he’s arrived and everyone goes silent. You feel a slight sense of relief when you hear noises from the front door. If he came through his room, he probably wouldn't be that surprised.
Peter sighs and holds the bag of Thai food in one hand, opening up the door with a key in the other. His senses have been all over the place today and his heart didn’t feel like it was in the right place. He was beyond worried about you, he didn’t even care that it was his birthday. He just wanted to know if you were okay.
He opens the door, calling out for May. “May, I’m home-”
“Surprise!” Everyone appears out from their spots, greeting Peter with bright smiles and confetti.
Peter instantly jumps and places a hand over his heart. “G-Guys!? Bruce? Scott? Wait, Ned? MJ!?” he stammers, looking all over the place.
“Happy birthday, Spidey,” you come out of your hiding spot, smiling warmly at him.
“Oh my god, Y/n,” he breathes out and rushes over to you, pulling you into a hug. You let out a gasp as he picks you up and spins you around. He places you down and hugs you closer. He pulls away and glances at your dress then at you, “Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” he sighs, kissing your cheek.
You blush at his comment and fiddle with your dress. “Thank you,” you smile, hoping he notices your outfit.
“Wait, isn’t this the dress from our first date?” he holds some of your dress and glances at you. You grin and nod, he sighs happily and pulls you back into a hug.
Everyone reacts sweetly until Flash, who was surprisingly invited yells out, “Get a room!” Everyone instantly glares at him and he shrivels up, smiling sheepishly.
You roll your eyes and Peter ignores him, peppering your face with kisses. “I thought you were mad at me or something, or hurt, or just forgot about me,” he rambles, holding your face.
“Well, luckily none of those are the cases. I just wanted to surprise you,” you hum.
“You planned all this?” he gapes, glancing around his apartment once again.
“Yes, but I had a lot of help,” you hum.
“Friend boy!” Morgan squeals and rushes over, hugging you and Peter’s legs. “Happy birthday,” she beams.
Peter’s eyes soften and his bends down, “Thank you cutie,” he grins.
She squeals and hugs him, “Can you be my friend boy?”
You gasp dramatically, “Morgan, he’s my friend boy.”
“I don’t know babe, Morgan looks amazing in her little princess dress,” he picks up Morgan, holding her close.
You pout and cross your arms. Morgan bubbles happily and wraps her tiny arms around his neck.
To say Peter was overwhelmed with happiness was an understatement. He felt relief, appreciation, love and support. This whole time he was worrying that he had done something wrong when really nothing was wrong and everyone was just hiding and being quiet for his surprise.
After catching up with some of the Avengers and friends and eating dinner all together, it was time for cake and presents.
You couldn’t express how unbelievably happy and emotional you felt for Peter as he stood in front of his cake as everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. His face was filled with pure joy and you wish that could stay on his face forever, because to you, that’s what he deserves and more.
Not much later present time begins and Peter starts to open up everyone’s gifts. You told him to open yours last. You absolutely adored this boy and your heart swelled up every time he held a genuine smile to his face as he opened his gifts. He got up, thanked and hugged every single person who had got him a gift. You truly are smitten for him.
“Who are all these gifts from?” Peter asks, glancing at the huge piles of gifts left. “I thought I had opened everyone’s except Y/n’s already,” he chuckles.
“Those are all mine,” you walk over, sitting next to him.
“Oh, flower,” he mutters softly and pouts out his bottom lip. “You didn’t-”
“Ah, please open them and shut your mouth,” you cross your arms. Everyone laughs in amusement at your sass and watches as Peter begins to open up the gifts.
Peter first opens up the comic books and jars filled with little letters, “Oh my god, you didn’t,” he whimpers happily. “This must’ve cost a fortune,” he holds up the comic books.
“What? All I did was write on little pieces of paper and-”
“Babe.”
“I know! I’m joking, on to the next please,” you coo and kiss his cheek.
He huffs and unravels the next gift, his eyes beginning to glisten with tears. He slowly flips through the pages of the beautiful scrap book you made for him. He comes across a page where it was you, your dad and him in multiple photos. He lets tears slip form his eyes and glances at you with softened eyes, “Y/n,” he mutters.
“Larb you,” you kiss his cheek. He places the scrapbook aside and pulls you into a hug, kissing your forehead.
“I larb you more,” he sighs.
“I thought that was our thing,” May pouts, causing everyone to chuckle at her comment.
“It can be our thing too,” Peter teases. “Is that all?” he sniffles, glancing back at you.
“One more thing,” you smile cheekily.
“Oh man,” he sighs, placing his forehead on your shoulder. “I don’t know if I can take it.”
“Morgan,” you look up, running your hands through Peter’s curls. She grins and grabs the last small box, bringing it to Peter.
He looks up and smiles, silently thanking her. “You want to help me open it?” he asks her. She nods and sits on his lap, helping him pull away the ribbon. As they both do so, the box falls and reveals the gift your mom once gifted your dad, then to you. Peter covers his mouth, “No, I can’t-”
“Peter,” you shake your head.
He sniffs once again, tears beginning to stream down his cheeks as he glances at the glass case with your dad’s arc reactor inside. He glances down at the words surrounding the arc reactor, “Proof that Tony Stark has a Heart,” he sobs.
You glance up seeing that your mom smiles sadly, wiping away some tears. “Happy birthday,” you repeat, kissing his cheek.
“Why are you giving this to me?” he stammers, hugging Morgan back as she hugs him close, nuzzling her head into his neck.
“Mom, Morgan and I already have many parts of dad with us. You don’t have as much and we all know how much he meant to you. You really are a part of our family too Peter, and I felt like you deserved this. Now you can see that his heart also belongs with you,” you smile warmly, cupping his cheek and wiping his tears away.
Everyone watches the heart-touching moment unravel, a sad yet understanding smile appearing on their faces. “I love you. I love all of you, and you,” he pokes Morgan’s nose, causing her to giggle.
“We love you too Peter,” everyone chimes in.
“I love you more,” you whisper, kissing his nose.
“I love you 3000,” Morgan pouts, playing with his shirt. You and Peter look at each other with sad smiles.
“I love you 3000 too.”

Giggles fill the halls of the Avengers HQ. Those unmistakable giggles that belong to the one, and only, Morgan Stark. The giggles that awake your slumber because they're so shriek-like. It's adorable any other time when you're not sleeping. Nonetheless, much as you expected, your bedroom door silently opens and any sound disappears as the tiny girl, who's not as tiny as before, creeps into the room. Her feet quietly pad against the hard floors and you can feel Peter's grip tighten on your abdomen. Almost as if he's bracing himself. As subtly as you can, you check the time, which reads 9:30 AM.
Then suddenly, you feel tiny cold hands press against any exposed skin, and you have to hold back from flinching. Before you know it, the not-so sneaky little girl yells right into your ear, "Wake up! Christmas is coming!"
Shooting right up in your spot, you groan at the sudden loudness. You were not expecting that, at all. In fact, neither was Peter, based on how quick he shot up and covered his ears. Morgan giggles as you playfully glare at her, but then you play your favorite card against her. Your glare turns into a frown and you make your lips quiver a bit and you lean into Peter as you begin to pretend to cry.
"Morg, why would you d-do that?" you ask sadly, feeling Peter wrap his arms around as he plays along. This kid is such a traitor, you think. Morgan notices, and because she still falls for it, her devious smile turns into a slight frown. "You scared me, Morgan, and now," you state as you push yourself closer to Peter. "I'm gonna cry."
Morgan jumps up and wraps her arms around you. "I'm sorry, N/N!" she exclaims rather guiltily. As much as you love dragging on jokes, you pull the girl into a tight hug, smiling and laughing as you let her know you were just joking. "But next time, maybe don't scream in people's ears?" you ask. Morgan nods, grabbing your hand excitedly and attempting to get you to stand up.
"Daddy said we're decorating today!" Morgan chatters excitedly. The tiny girl running out of the room, her feet still loudly padding against the hard floors. Suddenly, another door slams open and you can hear Morgan yell Harley's name from the door. "Y/N said not to yell in people's ears, so I'm yelling from the door!"
A laugh rips through your lips, shooting straight from your belly in amusement over the girl's ingenuity. Peter's laughter mixes with yours as the two of you finally get up from your bed and head to the closet to grab some clothes. "Iron Man boxers?" you ask, finally looking over at Peter as he reaches for some of his clothes. At this point, he might as well just live with you. Almost all of his clothes are here in your closet. Peter's cheeks turn a bright red as you giggle.
"They were a gift from your dad," Peter says slightly flustered, as he turns around and grabs a long sleeve shirt, some black jeans, and other articles of clothing. You, on the other hand, can't help but stare at him.  Taking in every inch of him, stopping to admire his arms and his butt for a few seconds longer. You bite your lip, not able to look away. "I can feel you staring," he states as he bends down to grab something. He sticks his butt out some more, doing it on purpose.
"Damn, Peter," you exclaim. "I think you got more ass than me-"
"Definitely not something I wanted to hear this morning," your father says as he enters your room and stands at the door of your closet. "Nice underoos, underoos," Tony says, nodding at Peter before turning to look at you. "This family runs on the idea of having a great ass, we will not let webs over here ruin that," he continues. "But I just came to say that all your new decorations came in and we're all getting so antsy to put them up."
"Oh sweet," you exclaim. "Give us like ten minutes and we'll be down," you say as you begin looking for some clothes of your own. Tony agrees, walking away and shutting your bedroom door. When you turn around, you see Peter staring at you this time.
"You might be right," Peter says as he stands in front of the mirror in your closet. Going between checking you and himself out. "I think I might just have more ass than you."
After 15 minutes, you and Peter head to the common room, where almost everyone is sitting around. Pepper and Morgan sit in their pajamas still, watching Elf on the large TV. Harley sits on the love seat with Rhodey. Happy and Tony walk in from the kitchen with a mug each and sit on the large couch with Pepper and Morgan. "Good morning," both you and Peter greet everyone, earning some greetings back. "Where's everyone else?"
"May and Wanda are in the kitchen making hot chocolate. Steve, Nat, Sam, and Buck are all bringing in the trees and other decorations that were in storage."
As the words leave your father's mouth, you walk over to the packages that sit stacked against the elevator wall. A total of 12 boxes. A smile makes its way across your lips as you walk over to the boxes, opening the smallest one at the top. Inside sits a medium-sized Tiffany-blue box. A few seconds later, you put the box back and join the others in watching Elf until the others return with the tree for the common room of the compound. There was also a second one, which Tony revealed was for the penthouse. You all spend half the time there, the other half in the common room.
"Let's get to it!" Tony exclaims, making everyone stand up. The movie was promptly changed to Christmas music instead. The first thing you all decided to do was put up the Christmas tree and work around it. Steve, Tony, and Pepper all worked to fluff it out. Meanwhile, Peter, Harley, and Sam worked to untangle all the lights. Bucky worked on untangling the tinsel. Morgan, Nat and yourself all worked on getting the hanging decorations to look nice or by putting the hooks on them. Rhodey and Happy were busy documenting the moment by recording on the camera Tony had just bought a couple days ago for just this.
Everyone made a game of it. Stand around the tree and everyone passes the tinsel or the lights around to wrap it around the tree. It was unnecessary, but it was fun, so why not? Finally, once the tinsel and the lights were done, the hanging decorations were up next. Everyone grabbed their favorites and just any random plain ones they could and started putting them all up on the tree. At some point, May and Wanda came out with trays of hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream and trays of cookies. They decided to join in on the decorating before everyone decided to take a break for some chocolate and cookies.
"Wow, these are so good, May," Pepper states as she takes a big bite of her tree-shaped cookie. May shrugs, thanking her as she takes a bite of her own cookies. "It was a recipe that Peter and I used to make, but then times got hard. But nonetheless, it's nice to make them again," May explains, earning a smile from Peter.
"Chocolate is really good too, Wanda," you exclaim. Wanda smiles. "Trick is to use actual chopped chocolate rather than the powder. Tastes better that way."
After the short break, everyone got back to decorating. However, now that the Christmas tree was done, that meant it was time for the rest of the room to be decorated. Lights went up around the whole room's ceiling. Gel clings were placed on the inside of the windows and stockings were hung on the walls. A wreath is placed above the elevator and the pillows on the couches are replaced with matching Christmas ones. Overall, the room looks more cozy and colorful.
After that room was done, the party moved upstairs to the penthouse. Everyone decided to go help out there. Sitting in the center of the living room was a large tree, much like the one in the common room. However, it's bare and needs some fluffing. So, Pepper, Tony, and Steve get to fluffing that one out as well. You all get to untangling lights and tinsel as well as adding hooks and strings to the hanging decorations.
As everyone gathered around the tree, you smile, knowing that this is your family. No matter how fucked up you all are, how dangerous your life may be, that crazy bunch of people who are helping decorate that tree are your family and you hope it stays that way forev-
"Peter, just because you can stuff ten cookies in your mouth doesn't mean you should."

Ever since Peter had asked Strange to wipe the entire world’s memory of him, things had been… uneventful to say the least. He studied, he worked two boring jobs for a low minimum wage, and he visited May’s grave every afternoon.
There wasn’t much else to do when nobody knew him as Peter Parker.
Sometimes, he’d go out in his itchy, make-shift spider suit that he’d fashioned with bright fabrics from a corner store that also sold his most favorite orange-flavored popsicles, stopping common crime as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Other than that… he slept. He played Crossy Road on his phone—or he’d rewatch the Star Wars movies for the billionth time.
He thought of his best friends, Ned and MJ. He thought of his brothers, Peter 2 and 3. He thought of his Aunt May, and Happy, who visited her grave almost as frequently as he did. He thought of the closest thing he had to a father figure, Tony Stark. He thought of Mr. Stark’s oldest kid—which he used to refer to as his significant other.
The love of his life.
Y/N Stark.
Peter missed you. He missed you more than anything in the entire world. He missed your wide smile and the specific way you’d throw your head back and laugh so hard you’d be grabbing onto his arm, gasping for breath. He missed how you’d press your chest into his back and kiss along his neck while he did his physics homework, quietly mumbling corrections to his calculations when he’d distractedly scribbled down the wrong formula. He missed how Mr. Stark would pull him to the side to give him the ‘Responsible Dad Talk’ just about every time the two of you hung out together, and how you’d have to tell your dad that you could make your own decisions and you didn’t need him to hover over the two of you.
Besides, you used to say with a soft smile, it’s Peter. You know Peter. He’s… he’s Peter. He’d never hurt me, pops.
But he did hurt you. He erased all the memories you had together—he completely wiped himself out of your life.
You loved him—and he had taken that away from you.
“I love you,” you had whispered into him as you hugged him tight, a tear slipping down the corner of your misty eyes. Peter wrapped his arms around your waist and held you all the closer. “Come back to me, Peter. Or… or I swear to fucking God—I’ll find you myself and—”
Your words died on your tongue as he surged forward and kissed you, hard and desperate. The kiss tasted of salt from your tears, of coppery blood from his throbbing, split lip. Neither of you cared.
You hiccupped a sob when he reluctantly pulled away, pressing one last kiss to your grimy forehead, before letting you go entirely. He turned before he could see you crumpling into MJ and Ned, who had roped you into a pained embrace, your shoulders trembling with wracking cries.
That was five months ago. Five months after Strange wiped everybody’s memories of him.
He’d wanted to find you again—he really did. Obviously, you were an extremely busy person, not only being the oldest kid of Tony Stark, but also a genius student, a researcher, the heir of an entire company, and an older sibling to Morgan. But, if he was completely honest, he didn’t really know what to say.
Hey, I’m Peter Parker and I’m in love with you, but I never got the chance to tell you because this wizard that’s sort of a friend of your dad’s erased everyone’s memory of me because the multiverse broke and a bunch of bad guys from other universes slipped into ours because I ruined my friend’s chances of getting into their dream college—
Yeah. That wouldn’t really work out, would it?
So he put it off.
Put it off for a week, which rolled into two, which became three, which became three months.
All of a sudden, it was summer, and he still hadn’t seen you.
He made sure to go to the coffee shop MJ worked at, just to see how she and Ned were faring. From what he heard while he eavesdropped—they were doing great at MIT.
Peter tried his best to keep up with you through those news articles that kept flashing him ads like You Wouldn’t Believe What This Celebrity Looks Like Without Makeup! or Learn All About Steve Rogers’ Exercise Routine!
There wasn’t much that he could find about you, other than a couple pictures of you with your little sister, Morgan, chowing down on cheeseburgers at McDonald’s. After all, you’d always been a rather private person, which was the one jarring difference between you and your infamously public father.
Your social medias were, expectedly, all privated. Peter doubted you’d accept his follow request, anyway.
It was an ordinary Tuesday—Peter had a shift at a car garage in a couple hours, which left him quite a bit of time to burn. He had ACDC softly playing in the background—a band that both you and your dad had been completely infatuated with—half a dozen books spread out around him as he multi-tasked studying new chemical compounds for his web fluid, and rotational mechanics for an upcoming exam.
Then, much to his surprise, the doorbell rang.
It’s probably the landlord, Peter thought with a grimace, thinking of the old woman who always had a cigarette between her coarse fingers, despite her own strict policy of no smoking in the building. He turned the music down to a low thrum, before swinging the door open.
And… there you were.
Peter could feel his heart drop to the floor.
You were… God, you were beautiful. There wasn’t much about you that changed—you got a new pair of glasses, he could see, and you’d cut your hair shorter. There was a tattoo peeking slightly out of your loose-hanging t-shirt etched over your skin, depicting a sketch of an arc reactor, in memory of your late father.
Besides that, you were the very same. The same bright, intelligent eyes, the same lips that puckered ever so slightly to the side in thought, and the same brows that knitted together whenever you were concentrating.
Your hands were shoved into your jeans as you cocked your head, studying him with narrowed eyes.
“Erm,” Peter started, mouth opening and closing as his brain struggled to comprehend that you were here. In the flesh. Fuck, you were gorgeous. “Wh… Y/N?”
Your eyebrow arched high up, closer to your hairline. “First name basis already, huh?”
“I’m—”
“You’re the Spiderling, aren’t you?” you asked abruptly, nearly giving him whiplash. Before he could say anything else, you were swiping your phone open, a hologram of a Youtube video playing right in front of his face. The video displayed Spider-Man swinging from building to building, stopping a car from ramming into an elderly woman crossing the street with nothing but brute strength. Peter didn’t even remember that happening. To him, that was just an ordinary day. “That must’ve been, what—like, thirty-five hundred pounds, about fifty miles an hour? Impressive.”
“Wh—”
You brushed past him into his tiny apartment. Peter cursed himself for not throwing away the pizza boxes stacked on his kitchen counter, and for leaving his sketches of web shooters out on his desk.
A small smile graced your lips as you spotted the blue and red scrap fabrics discarded into the trash can. “Hm. You make your own suit? My dad did, too. God—are those goggles?” You picked up his vision goggles from his unmade bed, peering through them as you snorted in amusement. “How on earth do you see anything though these?”
“I—”
You turned to him with an intrigued grin. “I’m sure you already know who I am, seeing as you knew my dad. It’s nice to finally meet you, Spiderling.”
Peter blinked. The overwhelming sense of deja vu washed over him like a tidal wave—you were behaving eerily similar to when Mr. Stark had approached him to go to Germany back in 2016.
“I… how…”
“What’s your name?” you asked, gingerly stepping over his textbooks to stare at his pinboard, where his calendar hung.
“Peter,” he finally mumbled in reply, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. “And it’s Spider-Man, not Spiderling. What are you doing here? I mean, not that I don’t want you here, but, uhm—how did you find me?”
You looked over your shoulder with a knowing glint to your eyes. “I keep tabs on everybody my dad used to work with. Honestly, it wasn't too difficult to track you down—given the radius of where Spider-Man usually frequents and his response times to local crimes, it was easy to pinpoint where you lived. After my AI ran a couple voice recognition tests and estimated bodily proportions, that led me right to you.” You leaned against his rickety wooden desk with a curious grin. “Thought you’d be a bit older, though. Looks like you’re around my age.”
“I… that’s… wow.”
Wrinkling your nose in amusement, you turned back to his full calendar.
Peter prayed you wouldn’t flip over to your birthday month—he’d circled your birthday with bright red sharpie and drew loopy hearts all over the little square. Thankfully, you stopped skimming through, pausing at the relatively empty weeks where he had nothing planned other than a few work shifts.
“Looks like you’re free from school in a couple weeks,” you said. “I know this is really sudden and very abrupt of me, but—I’d love to offer you a job at Stark Labs. You must be crazy smart to design synthetic webs with a Young’s modulus that’s off the charts. Could really use that brain of yours at my company. Plus, you’ve got a lot of work experience in the bag.”
There was a beat of silence. Peter stared at you with parted lips.
A bit more timidly, you added on, “And… it’d be nice to work with someone that knew my dad.”
Well, Peter didn’t want to brag, but he’d definitely say that he didn’t only just know Tony Stark. But you didn’t need to know that right at this moment.
“Yes,” he blurted out, a bit louder than necessary. “Are you kidding me? That’s… that’s amazing! Yeah, oh my God, I’d love to! Thank you!”
Before he could stop himself, his body moved out of pure muscle memory and excitement, stepping forward to wind his arms around you, squeezing you tightly. Your familiar perfume made his eyes well with tears—fuck, he missed you so fucking much.
“Oh—” you began to say, muscles tensing. “Okay, then. You’re welcome, pal.”
Rouge flushed hotly over his cheeks as he realized that you weren’t his significant other anymore—in your mind, this was the first time the two of you were meeting. Quickly, he let you go, backing away with a grimace.
“Sorry,” he winced. “Sorry, I just—”
“Have we met before?” you asked, cutting him off. “I don’t know… it just feels like… nevermind. I’d probably remember a cute face like yours.”
Peter’s face burned an even brighter shade of red.
“Here’s my contact information. I’ll send you any contracts, NDAs, legality issues, dates for any research projects you might be interested in joining, payment negotiations, all that jazz,” you told him, placing a card onto his desk. “I look forward to working with you, Patrick.”
“Peter,” he corrected.
A smile played with the corner of your lips. “Right. Peter. Nice music taste, by the way. I love ACDC—I can see why my dad liked you so much.”
With that, you ambled over his scattered belongings on the floor, flashing him one last beam, before striding straight out the door.
Peter stared at the open doorway for a minute—or was it an hour? He really couldn’t tell.
He collapsed into his bed, the goggles you’d dangled digging into his back. He arched up just enough to pull it away, clutching it to his chest with a goofy smile.
You found him.
Against all odds, you’d found him.
Fuck, Peter loved you so much.
Telling you though—now that was a different story entirely. One that Peter knew was going to take time.
But for you…
He’d wait centuries.

Im sorry i wasn't a good dad
tony x stark!reader/mention of peter, morgan and pepper (wrote this as father to his daughter fic but reader gender is never revealed so make of that what you want)
Tumblr media
''hiiiiyaaa''
morgan yelled as she swing her plastic lightsaber while peter blocked her with his lightsaber. you watch the 2 fool around and it remind you of your dad messing around with you.
''here you go kid''
tony stark, the infamous iron man, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. no one ever thought he would settle down and live the simple life. after all even after having his first child he never slowed down and clearly wasn't going to anytime soon but you knew different. as his first child you saw those moments where he showed his true feelings. those glimses of kindness, wanting to do right and that longing for peace/happieness.
you took a sip of your drink as did your dad. both of you calmly watching the younger starks playing. peter recently got adopted into the family after the incident with mysterio killed his aunt. he is now legally apart of the family but honestly he was that way before your dad plopped the adoption papers infront of him.
-flashback-
peter was doing some schoolwork while you taught him. he still got his school work but didn't go to school for the past 3 months cause of the whole ''spiderman is just a kid and he murdered mysterio'' drama with the media. morgan was watching something on her tablet.
your dad and mom came into the room with some paper and threw it infront of peter. '''guess what?'' peter looked up to tony then you unsure of what going on. you just gave him a smile knowing whats gonna happen next.
''we're adopting a kid!''
''thats great si-''
''and you're the kid!''
you and your dad said in unison. peter eyes widen.
''w-what...? is this a prank?'' this has to be a joke, right?
pepper put a hand on peter shoulder as she sat next to him.
''no peter, it isn't. we all talked about it and all of us want you to be part of the family offically on paper.''
''yeah all you have to do is sign here and your offically a stark.''
peter looked utterly shocked and tears started to form in his eyes.
''i-i don't k-'' you cut him off before he finished his scentance.
''then don't, just let it all out. you're safe here.'' you gave him a headpet and all the emotions spilled out. something you and peter shared was the dealing with the fear of losing people, parents in particuliar. you knew exactly how it felt to be in the dumps and being picked up pieces by pieces and the overwhemling feelings it came along with it.
pepper let him cry on her shoulder, rubbing his back while morgan ran over trying to dry his tears to no availe. ''why are you crying?'' morgan asked worried she thought peter be smiling. ''sometimes emotions get so big we don't react the way we usually do'' you explained to morgan. she just nodded and hugged peter.
-end of flashback-
now peter parker is peter stark things slowly got better bit by bit. you couldn't help but smile at the memory. you wouldn't leave the kid alone even if it ment dying and your father felt the same.
his head however was somewhere els though. the sight infront of him remind him of you as a child. the good and the bad. and man were the bad memories horrible. he remembers the times to disneyland, builing tech, the parties, the missions and so much more but alot of them had a bittersweet taste to them.
disneyland was always fun, building tech was fun until something exploded and sent you flying almost giving tony a heart attack every single time it happend but it was one of your fav things to do so it happen alot, the parties were fun until he got drunk and you had to drag his ass out of there before it got out of hand and the missions man were you stubborn about that. the only reason he allowed it to happen was because your a supersoldier and under the condition he would always tag along.
but alot of them had 1 thing in common. tony doing crazy shit and putting you in danger. he couldn't help but feel guilty for that. all the time he acted reckless and you having to deal with the aftermath, being completely helpless to all of it as a child. the stress he must have put you under for all those years. no wonder you wanted to join the avengers so badly. back then he just thought it was you wanting to become a superhero and nothing more but looking at how you are now. apart must of you felt like if you joined the avengers you have more controle over your life and be able to make a name for yourself instead of being in tony shadow.
''im sorry (y/n)'' you looked at him confused as you took a sip.
''for what exactly? did you blow up something?'' you immedaitely looked at the garages. he chuckled at your antics knowing exactly where they came from.
''no, no don't worry. its just... i could have been a better dad to you...''
''dad, you did your best. sure you fucked up a bunch of times but... you still mean the world to me. i wouldn't be half the person i am without you.'' tony smiled hearing your feelings towords him but he bite is under lip knowing he could have done better.
''it doesn't change the fact i put you thru alot. i should have protected you from the danger instead of dragging you into it.''
''to be fair dad, i wouldn't be a real stark if i wasn't a magnet for danger.'' he chuckled knowing goddamn well that is true. its seems to be a trait that somehow runs in the family.
''just do me a favor and don't blow up half of this house for morgan and peter sake.''
''i won't.'' he looked at the 2 pretending to be in the star wars movie.
''i promise to do it right this time.'' you smiled at him.
''i know you will, dad.'' you stuck out your fist to him and the 2 of you did your handsake. something the 2 of you started to do ever since your 12.

Stay // Druig x Eternal!Fem Reader
Tumblr media
all credits go to the owner of this gif!
Description: Reader left Druig long ago to live life outside of the Amazon. She found herself joining the Avengers after the snap. The holidays are coming up and her one Christmas wish is to be reunited with her family. Most importantly, Druig. She has never been with someone else and only wants him. Will Druig push his pride to the side so he can finally be with the reader? The way he always wanted to be. There is always something about our large egos getting in the way.
pairing: Druig x Eternalfem reader
Warnings: sprinkles of angst here and there. It does have a cute and fluffy ending :) I got a tiddy-bit carried away with this one! excuse my rambling lol (3k word count I believe) AH as usual it is not grammar checked
-------------------
“So Y/n. What do you want for Christmas?” Natasha asks you as you are leaning back in the dining room chair. Very stuffed from the large dinner that everyone was a part of. That being the Avengers and their families. The children were playing with the gifts they received early from all the aunts and uncles that wouldn’t be able to make it for actual Christmas Day. Most of the adults sat at the table and a few others in the living room of the Stark house.
You slowly sit up in the chair to rest your elbow on the table and allow your chin to sit on your palm. “This year I am not really sure. I have you guys. Another family to me and that is all that I could ask for.” Sam scoffs at your response and you glance  over at him with narrowed eyes. “Got something to say Sam?” You add.
“That is a cheesy response. We know how much we mean to you. Come on. Tell us something you really want.” Sam replies in a sassy tone. Sam always carried a sassy attitude with you but you gave it right back to him.
“Yeah. You are not the easiest person to shop for.” Bucky puts his words in the conversation. He had been very quiet up until now. Mostly everyone was occupied with the delicious food though.
You lightly laugh. “Guys, I have been alive for thousands of years. I have most everything I could want and more.”
“See, ‘most’ everything. What is that one thing stopping it from being everything?”  Natasha asks with the air quotes around most. You roll your eyes at your friend's behavior. It was silly they were so caught up in a Christmas present for you.
“You over analyze my words too much.” You shoot back at Nat and she slightly smirks at the response. “Besides you guys. What I want cannot be obtained.”
“Tell us what it is. Come on, we're the Avengers. We brought back half the population. I believe we can get this one thing for you.” Just as the words were coming out of Sam’s mouth you began to shake your head in protest. This was not something simple and if you were being honest it never would be just that.
“Believe me, even the Avengers cannot get this.” You slightly chuckle at the thought of them trying.
“You make things impossible. You know that right?” Sam says to you and you just smile, shrugging your shoulders.
“I love socks. Just get me some cool socks.” You quickly stand up from your seat to take your dirty dishes to the sink. Without another word from them. You chose to ignore the subtle grunt of disapproval from Bucky. Honestly, you lived with a bunch of children half the time. Morgan had a better attitude than Sam and Bucky.
Later that night it was time for the children to get to bed. Each of the adults took their kids and began to tuck them in. You followed in behind Tony and Pepper to help with Morgan. She loved your bed time stories way more than Tony’s anyways.
“Alright little one. Instead of a story tonight I am here to relay a message.’ You pause to build the tension up for her eager mind. “For Santa.” You whisper to her and her eyes light up. Tony and Pepper had already left the room so it was just you two. Tony asked that you do that because she had a hard time telling Tony her Christmas list.
“You still work for Santa?” She asks and you laugh at the response.
“I do. And he needs your list for this year. Can you help me out?” She nods in agreement and starts to name some things she wants. Certain things you kept for yourself so that way you could get her presents too.
Just as you are about to tuck her in she wraps her tiny hand around your own. “What are you asking Santa for?” Her small eyes peered into yours and it melted your heart.
“Well believe it or not I have a special someone in my life. Just like your mommy and daddy have. He is far, far away however. I am asking Santa to bring him home to me.” Morgan cocks her head to the side. You knew she was curious about this mystery man.
“Santa won’t let you down. I know it.” Morgan whispers in your ear. Her small little arms wrap around your neck and she gives you a tight hug. Your heart melted at her words. She was too young to ever know of this cruel world and you dread the day she grows into adulthood.
“Goodnight little bug. I’ll be back for Christmas okay?” She nods her head and gives a small kiss on your cheek. You tuck her back into bed and under the soft covers.
“Goodnight big bug.” Morgan replies with your nickname and her eyes softly shut. When she drifts off to sleep you quietly leave the room. Her words played in your head and it made you even more sad. There was something special about the holidays, but there was also a sad moment that others do not see.
---------------
Christmas Day
There was a warmth in the air today that just made you feel good. It may have been cold outside and being next to the lake it really made the breeze chilly. It didn’t matter to you. Today, you were surrounded by another family to you and you were more than grateful. Pepper asked that you spend the night with them for Christmas Eve so you could enjoy Morgan opening her presents. Plus you’re pretty sure she didn’t want you to wake up alone on Christmas.
Currently you were bundled up outside on the porch. Off in the distance you could see the trees covered in fresh snow. There was an expected 3 more inches coming in. In your hand sat a cup of hot cocoa with an overwhelming amount of mini marshmallows. Morgan insisted that you needed more and you were not about to argue. It was peaceful this morning in the Stark household. For long it wouldn’t be. It was going to be filled with more guests. So savoring the silence was a must.
“Did you get enough marshmallows?” Tony steps out of the door all bundled up for the weather.
You chuckle lightly. “I believe so.” He smiles down at you and then steps out to the railing of the porch.
“So Morgan enlightened me on your Christmas wish.” Tony brings up as he looks off into the distance of the lake. He wouldn’t dare turn around. Your eyes practically stare a hole into the back of his head.
“Socks?” You question and try to avoid this talk that you knew was going to happen.
Tony hangs his head and sighs at your pathetic response. “Let’s not beat around the bush kiddo.” This time you really laugh at his name for you.
“Shouldn’t I be calling you that?”
“Perhaps. But that’s beside the point. Why didn’t you tell us about him? This mystery man you miss so much.” Tony asks and you felt as if you were getting a lecture from your very own father.
This time you sigh a huff of air. You could see your breath from the cold temperatures. “He’s not something I like to talk about. I love him. But that man is stubborn as a bull. It’s just something that always ends up hurting me. Even if it doesn’t mean too.” Tony turns around to give his full attention. His back leaned against the railing as his hands crossed in front of his chest. He was wearing a knitted beanie that Morgan picked out for him for Christmas.
“Can I ask what happened?” Tony questions you.
You shrug your shoulders. “I wanted to see the world and be with you humans. He wanted to protect humans and stop all the fighting. We just saw different sides. We chose to split ways and it was honestly the hardest day of my life. I think about him every second and it always gets worse around this time.”
“Dang, kind of wish he cheated on you. That would make it easier wouldn’t it?” Tony jokes and it makes you laugh.
“A lot easier.”
“Well I have one more Christmas present for you. It came a little late and just now arrived.” Tony steps towards the door and gestures for you to follow.
“Tony you already got me a new phone. That was more than what I asked for from you.” Tony doesn’t say much and just walks through the kitchen and into the large living room. In the corner sat the Christmas tree with many more presents still underneath them. The house smelled like cookies and cinnamon.
That’s when you sensed another person in the house. The only ones who gave you that feeling were your fellow Eternals. Immediately your heart began to pound hard. Tony takes you through the house to Morgan's room. You hear voices through the door and just like that your hands began to shake. You knew before he even opened the door. But when he did your heart fluttered like time and time before when seeing that man.
There Druig was kneeled down in front of Morgan’s new dollhouse. She was talking a thousand miles a minute and Druig listened intently. He was simply in awe of this little one. He’s helped raise plenty of children in his village but there was something special about Morgan. Most likely because you helped raise her. Tony steps to the side with a proud smirk on his face. You stood frozen at the door just staring at him.
Druig looks up and his eyes meet yours. His whole body went into a frenzy at the sight of you. He was wearing black jeans with a black long sleeve. In his hand he held a black leather jacket but was about to drop it from being awestruck by you.
“Umm I would have been here earlier but the snow delayed my plane and-“ Druig began to ramble, but you quickly cut him off.
“Druig.” You take big steps to reach him and crash your body into his. Your hands tightly wrap around his back in this bone crushing hug. Everything that you were starting to forget came back to you. The way he smelled, that charming accent of his, his beautiful eyes, and his kind heart. He was going through the same reaction. It took him only a second to react to your hug and he molded himself into you.
“Did you miss me?” You lean back to see his devilishly handsome smirk. The words made your eyes roll in the back of your head. And there he truly was.
“Don’t let that ego of yours get in the way of this special moment.” You reply. Druig chuckles at the response.
“Fair enough my beautiful, beautiful Y/n.” He tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. Your cheeks turn a crimson read from his compliment. He used it so often on you but every time it left you in shambles.
“We’ll let you two catch up. Morgan grab your coat and we’ll go sledding.” Tony says and Morgan obeys her father. She stops beside your leg and you bend down to reach her.
“Will you sled with me once you're done?” She asks.
“I promise. Find us a good hill. I even told Steve to bring his shield so you could ride on it.” Her eyes light up at your words. There was a spark of fun just waiting to happen for the small child.
She runs out of the room with Tony following behind her. You gently turned back around to face Druig again. It felt like a dream that he was really here with you now.
“Who found you? I mean how did you even get here?” The questions were circling your mind so fast.
“Tony brought me here. Some guy named Happy picked me up straight from the Amazon.” A little laugh leaves your mouth at the thought of Happy meeting Druig in his village. “Told me that you were missing me too much you could barely handle it anymore.” That smirk returns and you shake your head in protest.
“I did miss you Druig. Every second of every day you have been on my mind.” You admit to him. That’s when he softens up.
“It didn’t take him long to convince me. I was packing some things up to come see you even before he came. The cabin is boring without your little feet walking around it. Plus there was no one to put up the decorations this year.” He was trying his best to cover up the fact that he missed you just as much. If not more.
“How long do I have you this time?” You had to ask the burning question. Just so you could cushion the heartache a little bit. Your hands found there way to his chest and you flatten your palms against it. The simple touch relaxes him and definitely reminds him of his true intentions.
“For as long as you’ll have me.” There were tears building up in the back of your eyes. Just as he said that you looked up into his baby blues. You could see the grin itching it’s way to his face.
“You mean-like- You want to stay? With me?” Your voice slightly cracks from the desperation.
“I realized a lot of things when you left that night. One of them was how much I needed you. I was selfish in the way I acted and I see that now. I never want to go another second without you in my life. It was torture. We’ve been alive for thousands of years and it felt like millions when you were gone.” Druig confesses.
“Took you long enough to realize that.” You huffed in annoyance. It would have saved you a lot of tears.
He grabs your hips and brings your body close to his again. “I sure missed that attitude of yours.” He playfully says. You roll your eyes and he smiles. You slide your hands around his neck and rest your foreheads together. His dimples were poking out in the most adorable way.
“So you’ll stay?” You ask once more.
“If you want me to stay. I’ll stay. I want to be wherever you are. For many more lifetimes I want to be by your side. I never want to experience a life without you again.” He replies.
“One more thing.” This time you grin and peer up at his eyes. They were sparkling as he looked at you through his lashes.
“What is it, my love?” His accent makes a chill roll down your spine.
“Kiss me.” You whisper as you lean into him more. He doesn’t hold back and presses your lips together tenderly. His hands cup your cheeks so he could deepen the kiss more. He gave every ounce of passion and love he could in that kiss.
It felt like times before when he kissed you. He always knew just how you liked it. He also knew just how to make you weak from a simple kiss. Sometimes he likes to think you casted a spell on him to make him so utterly in love with you. However, everything was natural when it came to your relationship. For thousands of years you’ve been together and always had the most fun. Ajak won’t admit it but she knew the love you shared was a million times stronger than Sersi and Ikaris.
Through the closed door you start to hear more voices arriving for the big dinner. For a moment you rested your head on Druig’s chest savoring the feeling of being in his arms again. His hands softly rub your back and he kisses the top of your head multiple times.
“There’s some friends I want you to meet.” You say to him and hold your hand out so he could take it. He doesn’t hesitate as you lead him out to the living room.
Sam was just at the door taking his food dish to the kitchen counter. Bucky was already sitting on the sofa staring at Druig with big doe eyes. Steve and Nat still had there coats on so they could join Morgan and Tony with sledding in a moment.
“Hey guys. This is Druig.” You began to point out everyone and they all wave giving a nice hello.
“So this is why you keep turning me down?” Bucky jokingly asks and your jaw drops. Druig snaps his head at you then to Bucky.
“Well I have been her boyfriend for thousands of years. Who are you?” Druig fires back at Bucky. The room was silent and then Bucky breaks out into a fit of laughter. In all your years of knowing him you had never seen him laugh like that. It actually put you in shock.
“I like him.” Bucky states making everyone in the room smile.
“Come on Y/n! Let’s go sledding!” Morgan runs up to you tracking in all sorts of snow. Steve brought out his shield and threw it towards you and you catch it with ease.
“Alright! Alright! Come on Druig you’ll love this.” You squeeze his hand and drag him outside to the hill Morgan had chose.
She gets on her small sled with Tony right behind her ready to push her for a boost. Caps shield was bigger than you thought. “Last one down the hill is a rotten egg!” You say to Morgan. She giggles at your words and tells her father to give her a big boost. “Come on Druig. Sit down and I’ll get in your lap.” He does as told but seemed a little hesitant.
Once you two are situated Nat comes in behind you guys to help with the boost. Tony takes his spot behind Morgan and Pepper prepares to give the boost instead. When you turn around to see Druig’s face he was smiling from ear to ear. He holds you close against him as a seatbelt for you.
“On your mark. Get set!” Sam stood between the two sleds. “GO!” Nat pushes hard against Druig’s back and sends you two flying down the hill. Tony and Morgan were right beside you guys. All that was heard was laughter from the thrill of the ride. Snow flurries sling up into your faces making it hard to see. Druig let’s put a laugh as the shield spins you two around so you were going backwards.
As you were unable to see the path ahead a bump on the hill sends you two in the air away from the shield. Thankfully you landed in a huge pile of snow and Druig broke most of the fall. You both couldn’t contain the laughter as your body was sprawled out against his. He still had his arms tightly around you. Too afraid to let go in this moment.
“I love you.” Druig happily says. You slightly lean up to give him a peck on the lips. He swore he saw stars from that small little taste of your lips on his.
“I love you too.”
The rest of the day was filled with sled races, snowball fights, snowman building, and lots of food. Your other family got to know Druig and even got some funny stories from previous centuries. Presents were exchanged and just like you asked for, Sam got you socks. He tried to play it off he was part of getting Druig but you knew who the real mastermind was. It was the little girl that sat in your lap most of the night. Druig managed to steal her from you in what little time she’s known him. Honestly it was a little maddening he could sweep someone up that fast.
Finally, he was home. With you. Where he belonged. Where his heart belonged.

Pairing: Peter Parker x Stark!Reader; Father!Tony Stark x Daughter!Reader
Summary: Between fighting with your boyfriend and playing second best to your younger sister, will your family learn how your recent sadness, or continue to pay you dust
Warnings: very angsty, fighting, dad issues, loneliness
Word Count: 2.5k
A/N: Hello all! It’s been a while. I had this recent idea for a Peter Parker fit and decided to actually write for a change. Kind of inspired by the scene at the dinner table in Black Widow, but very loosely. This is also post-endgame but with Tony, Nat, and Steve still being around and alive. I also have no idea if I wanted to do a part two or not, but left it open to that just in case. Enjoy!
PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3
“Morgan, Y/N, Dinner time!” You heard your father call through F.R.I.D.A.Y’s system.
You sighed as you got up from your bed where you were working on your final science project of junior year before you could finally relax for summer. The last summer break you’d still be in high school. You wanted to make lots of memories with your group of friends before things were starting to become your “lasts”.
You walk down the cold marble stairs of the Avenger Compound’s residential area, your currently residence as your father was a big player for the Avengers. He recently decided to divide up the Campus between other residential recruits, like Uncle Steve and Aunt Nat, and the residential area for your family, including Pepper, himself, Morgan, and you. He also decided to cut back his time recently to focus on a new program for recruiting younger agents to possibly have a group of younger kids forming their own Avengers, which sounds problematic in a way but if he has it under control, you wouldn’t question it.
He also cut his time back to spend more time with your younger sister, technically half sister, Morgan. She was born during the five years you and half of everyone were gone, and it was a rude awakening to see that your father had in a way replaced you with another kid, one he was able to know from the beginning and not starting at age 10, and one that he loved more than you.
“I hope you’re in a pasta mood tonight, Y/N,” Pepper said sweetly.
“Also, hope you don’t mind, but I invited Peter tonight as well,” your father says, turning from the stove to quickly glance at you while he speaks.
Ah yes, your boyfriend, Peter Parker. You had started dating him after your transferred to Midtown Tech and heard him spreading rumors about a Stark internship, which quickly lead to him telling you his secret about being Spider-man. After seeing him around the compound and at school, the two of you had developed a romantic attraction and dated just before sophomore year started. A year later, both of you turned to dust, and ever since the two of you have come back thanks to the Avengers, Peter hasn’t been the same. He’s been brushing you off at school and giving excuses not to hang out, so you haven’t bothered reaching out to him in a couple weeks, since he clearly doesn’t want to give you the time of day. It really hurt you inside, but recently, you’ve become used to the feeling.
“Wait what? Dad I really wished you would have asked me before hand,” You said.
“Well I mean he is your boyfriend, so I thought you’d be a little happier to hear he was coming over,” your dad quipped. You sighed, grabbing the bowl of breadsticks to take to the table.
“We haven’t been on the best of terms lately, that’s all. It’s really awkward seeing him lately,” you pointed out.
“Well why didn’t you tell me anything about this?” He questioned, attitude dripping in his voice.
“If you would ACTUALLY listen to me instead of ignoring me half the time..” You whispered to your self as you put the bowl on the table, annoyed that he didn’t remember you telling him about your relationship struggles.
You heard F.R.I.D.A.Y announce Peter’s arrival, and Tony said to buzz him up. You sighed once again and went back up to your room for a moment to put on a nicer outfit. Flared red pants and a casual top, paired with some gold earrings, you walked back down the stairs to be greeted by your boyfriend, who gave you a half-assed smile. Already you had a bad feeling about tonight, with the tension in the air between you and he, and between you and your father. You were going to try and suck it up and be a team player tonight, no drama. That is the key word there being “try”.
“Hey,” he said, the awkwardness oozing out into the room.
“Hi,” you replied, not wasting anymore time with the silence and rushing over to get yourself something to drink. Pouring yourself a glass of ice water, you quickly go to the table and claim a seat, right next to Morgan on the end. She wasn’t as bad as your originally thought, as she had her cute moments and always wanted to play with you. You were just jealous of the relationship she already had with your father, especially within the recent months of the last days of school ahead and preparing for college, which gives Morgan even more time to bond with your father.
“Peter, you go sit next to Y/N, and Pepper and I will sit across from you two. What did you want to drink?”
“A, uh, water, would be great. Thank you Mr. Stark,” your boyfriend stampers out. You roll your eyes a bit at how the two of them are already interacting. Before Peter was ignoring you and leaving you in the dust, you always thought it was cute how he called your father Mr. Stark, and still got nervous around him even after getting his approval to be your boyfriend. But now it truly annoyed you. Maybe you were just on edge from all the tension in the room, but you weren’t too sure.
“So Peter, how are all your classes going? Are you prepared for finals?” Pepper asked as she sat down across from you.
“They’re, uh, going good! Ned and I are working on our final science project and I’m really excited to see the end result,” he answered, looking over to you quickly with an apologetic look, which you didn’t buy at all.
“What is your project again?” Tony asked
“We’re testing the by-products of gasoline, which with both found super interesting.”
“That does sound pretty cool. Y/N, what are you working on? I know you and Peter are in the same class,” Pepper asked. You watched as everyone began to put food on their plates, so you grabbed a breadstick and waited for the salad bowl to be passed your way.
“I’m actually working on building a fully functioning robotic arm. I was actually going to ask you, Dad, if you could help me out some time to figure out the components and functions,” you answered, pointing to your dad to help grab his attention away from putting food on his plate. He looks at you for a second, with his thinking face, probably coming up with an excuse to get out of it.
“Hmm..Yeah I think I could help you out. Just got to find the right time between going to meetings and interviews, and then of course preparing for Wakanda for this summer,” he answered, finished putting his pasta on his plate and passing the bowl to Pepper.
“Wait, what do you mean? Are we going to Wakanda this summer?” You ask, taking the salad bowl from Peter as he passes it to you.
“If by we, you mean myself, Steve, Bucky, Nat, Bruce, Peter, and Morgan, then yes.”
You were puzzled. Why did he have so many of the people you call family going to Wakanda, but didn’t include you? Ever since you had met T’challa back during the dark times of the Sokovia Accords, he found down time to tell you stories about Wakanda and trusted you with information about their tech and goods, which wowed you beyond belief. Ever since then you have dreamed to see it for yourself and hoped that T’challa would reach out to you all someday soon, since everyone was on good terms now.
“C-Can I ask why?” You questioned, setting the bowl in front of you and maintaining eye contact with your father. You could feel Pepper’s sorrowful look staying on you, as well as Peter’s embarrassed one, but you weren’t going to let your father brush this off, especially after hearing you talk about your interest in going there.
“Well Bruce wanted to tag along with us because he is interested in working along side T’challa’s sister, Shuri, with all their advanced tech and science, as am I. Like have you seen what they’re working with? And Steve and Natasha will be working with the Dora Milaje and the Border Tribe on fighting tactics for future recruits and missions,” your father responded.
“Why are Peter and Morgan going?”
“Because, well you know Peter, he loves tech too, so he’s tagging along with Bruce and I to learn. And I can’t spend the whole summer without my baby girl, hi sweetheart,” your father says, his sentence faltering into a baby voice for Morgan.
You were stunned that he just said that. He was willing to take the son he basically he never got to have, and his favorite daughter with him, but not you. You blinked a few times, sitting back in your seat, absolutely speechless. You looked up and saw Pepper’s sad eyes on you, basically forming an apology on their own. You looked over to Peter, who had started eating to try and break some of the tension, which he’s had a history of doing, especially lately when it’s just the two of you sitting together at lunch.
“W-Well why didn’t you think I wanted to go, father?” You asked a bit more quietly, still taking all of that information in.
“Because I didn’t think you wanted to go?” He said, his words dripping with attitude, probably sick of being asked so many things.
“That was your same excuse when I asked about joining the Avengers. A-And you’ve heard how I’ve talked about Wakanda before thanks to T’challa’s stories. Obivously I’m interesting in all of this,” you started to say, banging your fist on the table lightly. “-the tech, the Avengers, being a new version of you! Hell, even taking over the title of Iron Man on day,”
“Hey! Watch your mouth, your sister is very impressionable,” he yelled slightly, cutting you off. You rolled your eyes and took a bite of your breadstick, then continuing.
“-but I’m interested in all of it Dad, and you refuse to show me the ropes and help me make those dreams come true.”
“Do you want me to add one more to the group for Wakanda? Because I guess I can,” he asked you half-assed. You scoffed, turning aside as you rolled your eyes again. The feeling in your stomach could be compared to your heart dropping to your stomach, hurt that he things being a second choice is a good offer. You could feel Peter’s hand squeeze your leg, begging you to stop arguing with him, but you didn’t care about his feelings during this particular discussion. It was between you and your father.
“No, not if I’m going to be a second choice and not wanted there like I am here.”
“Then why even bring it up,” your father sighed, taking a sip of his wine to see if it would calm his nerves at all. You were visibly upset, looking anywhere but at your father, because his actions tonight would defineitly be doing some permanent damage.
“Hey Y/N, what if I showed you around Stark Industries this summer, hmm? You can learn what it’s like to be CEO, since you’ll probably have the company passed down to you in a few years or more,” Pepper suggested, trying her hardest to break some of the tension. You gave her a weak smile, then turned to your dad for another revengeful remark.
“Well he’ll probably just end up passing the company down to Morgan over me. After all, she is the favorite child,” you said, resting back in your chair and sipping on your water, the attitude from your voice filling the room.
“AND WHAT IF SHE IS MY FAVORITE, Y/N? AND WHAT IF SHE IS? With how you’ve been fucking acting lately, of course she my favorite child. I CHOSE TO HAVE HER HERE IN MY LIFE,” Your father screamed, standing up from his place at the table. You froze at his words as all of the doubts you’ve been having about your relationship with your father being confirmed in front of your very eyes. You set down your glass of water and look to your lap, blinking away the tears that are coming to surface.
You hear your father sigh. “We need more wine,” he states plainly, as he downs the rest of his glasses and moves to go to the wine cellar below. You continue to stare at your lap as you see Peter in the corner of your peripheral looking at you, silently asking if you’re okay.
“Y/N,” you hear Pepper say sweetly, reaching for your hand across the table, but you quickly dodge it as you quickly get up from your seat and run up the stairs towards your bedroom. You were humiliated, not only in front of Pepper and Morgan, but in front of Peter as well. All of the bad things happening in your life just crashing around you, tumbling like dominos, just one right after the ones.
You strip yourself of your nice outfit, no longer wanting to be reminded of what was supposed to be a nice dinner. You throw on one of your big sleep shirts and some shorts and jump in your bed, latching onto one of your pillows as your tears keep falling. You hated this feeling you had of unworthiness and loneliness. Things have never been good with your father, but never to the point of him making you feel unloved by him and making you cry.
After a solid hour of crying in your room with no one coming up to check on you, not even Pepper. You knew you had to take matters into your own hands. You got up from your bed, wiping your tearful eyes, and grabbed your duffle bag from your closet. You started to throw a few outfits inside the bag, along with your essentials that you absolutely needed to get by in life on a day-to-day basis. Grabbing your school book bag and the duffle, you left your phone on the bed and went to the south west side of your floor, running down the stairs as swiftly as possible, knowing nobody ever comes up or down this side.
As you rushed to escape the compound and the horrible loneliness that resides in it, you start to wonder if the other Avengers, the ones you see as aunts or uncles, think of you the same way your father does. Always in the way of missions when the Avengers first began, especially being such a new responsibility to your father. Getting dusted by Thanos and having to have them avenge you. You wonder if all this time if it really has been you getting in the way of things.
Finally reaching outside, your throw your duffle and backpack in your car, and push the button to start the engine. You were sick of being treated like second best and everyone but Pepper not giving you the light of day. You took the car out of park and drove off down the residential driveway of the Avengers Compound. If they couldn’t see that you had proper feelings and wanted to be in their lives, then they wouldn’t get you at all.

[Earth 717 - June 2036, Aveneger Tower]
It was a typical day, or should have been. You had an argument with your mothers the other night; they didn't trust you, and you said some nonsense to both of them. For the sake of the three of you, you decided to sleep at the tower. You were thinking about the previous night and how you were going to apologize later, even though you had a lot of fights with them in the previous two months. You were lost in your thoughts when the IA spoke.
"Good morning, Ms. Maximoff. Ms. Stark asked me to let you know she wants to see you in her lab when you wake up," she informed you.
You sighed, "Thanks, Fri, I'll be there in 30 minutes." That was one of the things you didn't like about your life. Anywhere you went or anything you did, you were always compared to them or reminded that you were not them. After having an inner debate, you decided to go to the bathroom and take a shower; you brushed your teeth and changed your clothes before heading to your best friend's lab.
"You said 30 minutes, and you're still late," she greeted you.
"I had a good night, thanks you Morgan," you joked. "So why do you need my help so early on this beautiful Thursday?" You asked,
"Peter and America will go to a mission in two hours" she replied, and you nodded. "And we both know we'll not just stay here and wait for them," she said as she threw you something.
"What is this?" you asked.
"You broke your last widow's bite, so I made you news," she replied, and you hugged her
"I love you, Morgan Stark. I hope you know that." you said
"Oh yeah, I know you've repeated it since kindergarten," she laughed. You put your new advice on your wrist.
"Wait, they look heavier than the last," you said, and she smirked,
"That, my dear Y/N," she grabbed a tablet to show you the weapon's blueprint, "i made some modifications. I add a vocal system so you can communicate with Friday without using the comms. It's like the helmet of my suit. You can record and film, and they can play music. And of course, FRI will alert me if anything happens to you." She explained, and you groaned.
Everybody called you the reckless avenger; it's not your fault if you're stubborn like your mom, and the fact you have your mama power didn't help either. "Oh, Stark, I finished the last the mission without getting hurt," you remarked.
"Because Kate and Peter had your back," she said, and you scuffed; this was the first time you had seen your aunt upset. You were about to argue when America entered the lab through the open door.
"Are you ready, girls?" she asked.
"Yeah, Ms. Chavez, just let me grab my suit," you said. You wanted to walk to the 'changing room' but the little Stark grabbed your arm.
"I didn't tell you the best part?" she gasped, like she forgot the most obvious thing. You looked confused, and she cleared her throat, saying, "Put your bites." she ordered and you did, "now say: 'Friday, suit'." you exchanged a confused look with the older black hair girl in the room, before look at the devices in your wists.
You took a deeper breath, concerned about what might happen. "Friday. Suit?" you said loudly. You didn't have the time to understand what was happening when you saw your scarlet suit start to materialize on your body. In less than 5 seconds, you were ready, and you examined your figure in the mirror. "Whoa...Moggi, you're a genius." you exclaimed, and she smiled with her special 'I told you' Stark face.
"Okay girls, it's cool, but we need to go now." America said. The three of you made your way on the new A-jet when the multiverse woman leaned over to Morgan. "I want something like this too," she whispered, and the teen laughed.
"I'll try something," she replied.
Ten minutes later, you were in the jet and listening to Peter who talked about the mission. "-remmember, be very careful." He looked at you, "Right Y/n?" and you gasped,
"How can you say that, Pet? I'm always careful." you replied, and the three Avengers raised an eyebrow at your comment, and you gasped again. "Even you Morgan ? Traitor." You said dramaticaly and she chuckled at your antics.
"I'm your best friend, but I need to be honest; you're never careful Y/n/n." She said,
"And who is the bad guy this time?" You tried to avoid their suspicious gaze.
"Khrono," the older girl replied, and you clenched your fist.
Khrono was a man who had the capacity to control a small part of the time, and of course he loved to mess up with the timeline. You almost caught him the last time, but he locked you in the temporal loop; you revived the same day 27 times in a week. Usually it should be a mission for Doctor Strange, but he has been more busy at Kamar Taj' recently.
"He stole a prototype of a time machine, and we are sure he will use his power to charge it," the man added.
"But why does he need a time machine?" your best friend asked.
"We don't know, but we need to find out and catch him," he instructed, and you nodded. When the jet landed, you were in front of an old SHIELD base. The atmosphere was heavy; something seemed wrong. Khrono was a man who wanted to show off, so if he knew you would come, he should be here to welcome you and quote a big man or Tony Stark (he really likes Tony even if he hates the Avengers). Your worries were confirmed when you heard the noise of a reactor, the spider senses activated, Spider-Man started to look around before a mine surprised everyone.
"Ooh, look who's here," a high voice said, "you brought your little friends Spider-Man, but don't worry, he's not alone either," the voice added. When the smoke from the explosion started to disappear, you recognized him.
"Why is the Red Goblin here?" Morgan inquired, and the supervillain looked at her.
"And who are you?" He was perplexed; Iron Man should have retired by now.
"You can call me Iron Girl," she replied.
"Not original, Iron Kid," He commented, and you fought back a laugh.
"You really need to find another name," you whispered to her,
"Sorry but Miss William already takes Iron Heart. So if you find something like that, I'm your girl." she whispered yell at you and you chuckled
"The gobling is for me, you can stop Khrono." Peter said
"Oh no, you said we should be careful, so we will not be too much if I come with you." Morgan said, and you could tell she was really angry. Spider-Man started to attack his opponent, which gave you time to infiltrate the building.
In the bulduing you walked just behind America. After a moment, she stopped, and you almost crashed into her. She grabbed your arm and led you to a wall. She took a glance at the person in the room in the corner of the hallway; it was him. You took a glance too, and you were shocked to see him using magic to charge the time machine. He seemed to notice you because he stopped and looked in your direction before standing up from the floor. You didn't let him approach you or talk; you threw him a scarlet power ball, and he was projected on the opposite wall. "Always such a savage, little spider," he said, and you clenched your jaws.
"America, stop the time machine; I can handle this," you said.
"Are you sure?" she asked. You didn't look at her, but she saw you tilting your head, and she didn't need a verbal reply; she started to walk to the machine. Khrono wanted to stopped her but you catched him with your power and lead him wtih you further in the base. You threw him against another wall when you were sure you were far enough from America.
"Oh little spider, it's been a while since the last time we met," he said, but you didn't reply. "Okay you don't to talk. Can I at least ask you something?" he asked, and you just hummed. "How do you want to hold me here if you can't use your magic?" he said.
You looked around and noticed the runes "how you—" you were interrupted by his punch to the face. He didn't let you breathe; he kicked your legs, and when you were on the ground, he was on top of you and started to punch you. You blocked one of his punches, and he seemed surprised. "Why do you think I call myself a widow?" you said. You didn't let him reply; you grabbed his neck and gave him a headbutt. He stood up and grabbed his nose. You didn't really planned to let him recover, you rushed to him. You pounched him; he may have had good power, but you were too far away from him in a hand-to-hand fight. Only a few people could beat you, and he was not one of them. After five minutes of a savage fight, he was on his knees in front of you.
"So, it's here where you kill me?" he said dramatically. You were about to punch him when a voice stopped you.
"Guys, we have a problem," America said through the comms
"What do you mean, Stargirl?" Morgan asked, and you could hear she had a bad time with the boglin.
"There's no way to stop the spell," the old brunette said. Khrono started to laugh.
"At your face, Miss Chavez just found she can't break the spell," he said, and you fought the urge to punch him again. "But don't worry, it's not her fault; only Strange can break it, but I heard someone say he's not here," he said, amused by the situation.
"Why do you need to do that?" you asked, and you were surprised to seem so calm.
"Oh, you are starting to ask the good questions, little spider." He started, "Why do I do that ? mmmh. I want to reply with another question. if you lost your most precious person and you have the power to save them, would you take your cahnce?" he inquired, and your brows furrowed
"Is that even a question?" you replied.
"One day, someone took a precious person from me," he confessed. You didn't have time to react before he stabbed you in the left leg and abdomen with a knife from his back pocket. You fell on the ground, and he brushed your hair behind your ear. "I'm sorry, little spider, but I have to do it," he said and started to walk off.
"Miss Maximoff, I finished the investigation you asked me. " Friday told you from your new device "Daniel Scotch alson know as Khrono, born on October 4th, 2011. He lost his dad, Jeremy Scotch, in Lagos," the IA said, and you started to connect the dots.
"America?" you yelled over the intercom.
"Yeah?" she replied.
"Khrono, come to you." You said and used all you had to stand up and make your way to where you left your mentor. "He want to return to Lagos before my mom...do what she did. He lost his father." you said
"That's where you're wrong, little spider." Khrono replied through your earpiece,
"What did you do to America?" You asked worried, and when you were not affected by the rune anymore, you flew.
"I don't just want to save him," the villain said. You were getting close.
"Miss Maximoff, I can sense a huge wave of magic. The time machine is full and ready to use." Friday informed you,
"I don't need to save him; I just need to kill her." Khrono said, and you were now in front of him. "Oh, look at you; you should stay where I let you. Oh no, it's better that way—I can drag you along with me and watch you as I erase your existence from the timeline," he continued.
After his words, you let your rage consume you; a red whip pinned him against a wall. You walked to him and you raised your knife, Yelena gave it to you for your 15th birthday. You pressed the blade under his chin, and you were ready to apply pressure when Friday sent you an alert. You turned around and saw the time was ready to explode; he gave it too much energy, and you thought for a moment before finding a risky idea.
"Ms. Chavez," you called her, and she looked at you "You have to punch the time machine to send it away in any other univers. If it explodes now, it will kill all of us." You used your last energy to throw Khrono away; he broke the wall and was now in front of a Spider-Man who was angry and exhausted by his fight. You stay focused and try to contain the possible explosion with a little magic barricade around the machine. Amercia's fist gleamed, as did her eyes, and she punched it without thinking. A start appeared, the device was aspired like you thought but you forget to dissiped your magic and before you notice your body crossed the portal too.

[Earth 616 - August 2024, Central Park]
You saw a blight light, and you fell on your back. "Shit," you mumbled. You took a moment to stand up, and on your feet, you immediately puked. You looked around; were you in New York now? "Hey Morgan, I think we messed up," you said against your widow's bite. You waited, but you didn't hear any response. "Morgan? Do you copy?" No response. "Friday?" you asked this time, but you didn't get a reply even from the IA. One conclusion, the advice must be broken himself after your fight, but fortunaly for you, you were back in new york what mean you could fix this before Morgan find it.
You wanted to use your magic to lift yourself, but something went wrong, and you couldn't. At least for the first 10 minutes, but you succeeded after a lot of try. You were now flying in New York, but something felt different; you had this feeling that someone was not right, but you didn't know until your power stopped itself and you were falling right now. You tried to activate them, but nothing came, and when you were sure you'd die, someone caught you and let you on a rooftop.
"You know it's pretty dangerous to fall from the sky," a voice said. You turned to face them, your eyes wide.
"Peter?" you asked. He retired his mask, and he looked pretty confused.
"Wait, how did you call me?" he asked, and now it's your turn to be confused.
"Uh, Peter, like Peter Parker. You know Spider-Man at least you changed your name." you said and his eyes bright.
"But how—I mean, who and why and where?" Okay, he may have had a lot of questions. He paused for a moment to think. "Okay, Pet, let's resume. You found a girl who fell from the sky, and she knows who you are," he mumbled to himself before looking at you again. "Maybe the spell didn't work on her," he said,
You cleared your throat, "Uh, excuse me, but are you alright?" you asked, and he came out of his thoughts.
"Yeah, yeah, totally fine." he replied. "It's just... you know nobody remembers who I am, and suddenly you fall from the sky and call me Peter when I wear the mask." he explained.
You looked at him, trying to find any sign of humour. Why should anyone forget him; he was one of the famous Avengers. But it was only now that you noticed it. "Wait, hold on, Pet, is it me or do you seem younger?" you obviously asked in confusion.
He raised an eyebrow at your question and seemed to understand what you were saying: "Oh no, it's fine, I suppose, I just get blipped." he replied, and you didn't see the point:
"Blipped?" you asked obliviously.
"Yeah, you know, when Thanos came six years ago. He snapped and erased half of the universe," he explained. Okay, you spent all your life around Peter since he joined the Avengers at 16, and you were used to his jokes, but right now he seems serious. You were about to speak again when he saw your wrist. "Wait, are those widow bites?" he commented, and you followed his gaze.
You quicly remeeber why you were here, "euh yeah and i think they need to be fix" you replied
"Oh i can help with it if you want," he said. You wanted to reply, but something caught his attention. "Wait, I'm late, Strange wants to see me," he said, and he was about to jump from the rooftop when he added, "Do you want to come with me?"
You thought a moment, you wanted to accepted his offer when you saw the tower, "Uh, actually I have something to do but if you see him can you tell him to rejoin me in the tower. I need to speak with him about the mission because I can't contact America or Morgan," you said. He didn't say anything else; he nodded and went. Now your new mission : enter in the tower. On your way, you saw a billboard that said, 'It's been one year since everything returned to normal. Thanks you Avenger.' There was the infinite gauntlet, so you came to the conclusion they were talking about Thanos. But how? Thanos never did anything, right? The Avenger stopped him in Wakanda with the help of the sorcerer from Kamar Taj', the Gardians, and the Wakandian. But what was the 'bleep' story about? You were confused and you saw the date: 2024. When America punched the time machine, it sent you into the past. You were now standing in front of the tower with a strategy. You can't let them know you're from the future; Strange always told you about how dangerous it is to play with time.
When you entered in the tower you alternatd a little the reality to be invisible to Friday. Fortunately for you, they haven't changed anything in over ten years; they've added space, but the lab has always been where it should be. In the lab, you saw the old Iron suits, and that confirmed your theory. You were in the past. But unfortunaly you didn't have the time to admire, you needed to fix the device and asked the help of strange to go back to the futur. You put the widow bites on the main table and turned on the light.
"Okay, Friday, can you tell me what's wrong with this?" you asked, but the IA didn't reply. "Oh come on Friday even here? What did I do to you to be ignored?" you asked dramatically. But if the IA didn't want to help you, you had to do it yourself. So you started to walk in the lab and found some tools that could help. You spent 5 minutes to disassemble the device and mentaly cursed Morgan to be a genius. "Oh yeah, I did it," you said proudly.
"Oh and what you did exactly?" a voice surprised you. Oh shit.

Other Ways to Have Fun (T.O.)
Prompt: For Jordan’s Title Challenge, “Other Ways to Have Fun”
Pairing: Thor Odinson x Stark!reader
Words: 1995
Warnings: Slight Endgame spoilers, Past!Major Character death, slightly depressed reader for a while
Notes: Not Thor centric at first, but it will get there.
Tumblr media
You were tasked with watching the teenager that was brought on to the team, Peter Parker. After Tony had sacrificed his life to stop Thanos and everyone had been brought back from being turned to dust, the Avengers had been reinstated with new and old members. The only thing with the new members was that they needed to be watched and trained, especially a certain teenager. That’s where you come in. Sam had asked you to watch over the young Spider to make sure he didn’t get into too much trouble.
Not only were you watching over Peter Parker but the mighty Thor. Yes, Thor could take care of himself, but after half the population had been turned to dust (you included), he had fallen into a deep depression and gained lots of weight. It was you job to help him get back into shape. Now, you may be thinking how in the world do you keep watch of both of the heroes...well, the answer is simple, you live with them.
You had built the new Avengers compound where the heroes would come to train and meet up for missions. You had built bunk areas and a monument to Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers. The bunk areas were more like apartment areas. How did you do all of this, you ask? When Tony died, you and Pepper became the beneficiaries of the money he had made throughout his life-not to mention the money you were gifted after your parents died. Why did you become a beneficiary? Tony was your older brother. He taught you everything you know about engineering and inventing.
You stepped back from the stove in the common area, sighing. You wiped the tears that fell. You had just gotten back to Tony and then he had to stupidly sacrifice himself before you could even hug him properly. You didn't even know you had a niece until after the battle. Morgan...she looked exactly like her father. While you loved seeing her, you couldn’t help but feel depressed knowing that her father, you brother and best friend, was gone and was never coming back...finally resting.
“(Y/N), you okay,” you jumped at the voice, turning to see Peter.
“Hey kid. I’m good, just having a little think about things. Your Aunt May still coming by for lunch?”
“She said she was bringing a pie because she didn’t want to feel like a freeloader. Morgan and Pepper on their way?”
“Should be here soon. Is Thor up yet?”
“Yes, Lady (Y/N). The delicious smell of what you are making has drawn me from my quarters.” You turned to look at Thor and gave him a small smile. He was losing weight, slowly but surely. You were proud of him.
“Do we know of anyone else who’s planning on coming? I want to make sure there’s enough food for lunch.” You went back to the stove, putting the finishing touches on one of the dishes being made. “Did Valkyrie get back to you, Thor?”
“She is busy running Asgard and will be unable to get away. Barton and Barnes are out on a mission. Sam is who knows where. The others are all out, I believe,” Thor and Peter began to set the table.
As the food finished, your other guests arrived. “Auntie (Y/N),” Morgan launched herself at you. Thankfully you had prepared for her attack.
You gave her a bone crushing hug, swinging her around for good measure. “Little Light,” you exclaimed, “I’ve missed you, Bug.” You set her down, bringing Pepper into a hug as well. “You’re looking good. Everything been alright?”
“It’s still a work in progress. I miss him as I know you do, but we get by and Morgan gets me through the day most days.” You nodded as she gave you a small, sad smile that you reciprocated. “How are your charges,” she asked as she looked to the two playing with Morgan.
“Thor’s doing really well. I know it’s still hard for him, but he’s pushing through. I’m proud of him.” You took a second to send Thor a genuinely happy smile as he looked over at you and Pepper, which he returned. “Peter at least listens to me. He took T’s death pretty hard, but I think we both sort of helped each other with it. He doesn’t go off on his own and cause trouble and I usually accompany him on patrols just to make sure.”
“You look like you’re settling in well. The building looks great...the statue of Tony is-it’s beautiful.”
You and Pepper looked at each other for a moment, both caught up in memories. “I imagine this is how T felt after the kid and I turned to dust six years ago...but this feels more finalized,” you sighed, “there’s no chance of getting him back.” You turned back and walked into the kitchen, fighting back your tears. You wouldn’t cry...not today. Today was supposed to be fun.
You wiped a stray tear away as you heard Peter’s excited chatter and assumed either his Aunt had arrived or he and Morgan were having a debate. “Wow, this is a beautiful facility. I’ll have to visit more often,” May called from the entrance of the kitchen.
You gave a soft chuckle, turning to her and giving her a hug. “You can visit any time you like. I know Peter would enjoy that.”
“Oh Hon, no tears today unless they’re happy tears. I know this is the anniversary of that day, but we all decided to do this to celebrate his memory, not mourn,” she brought you back into the hug, and you gladly accepted it. You sucked in a breath, willing the dam holding back your tears to not break.
You let out a shaky breath as you separated from the hug and gave her a small smile. “Let’s celebrate. Tony would be making fun of me by now.”

Four Hours Later
You hurried back down the hall. You had all of the videos in your hands. You had finally found all of the outtakes of Tony when he was building the Iron Man suit. “Okay, I have been compiling these since last year. I thought that we could watch Tony as he tested out the Iron Man suit sixteen years ago.”
“You found them? I thought he’d destroyed the evidence,” Pepper laughed.
“Nope,” you smirked. “I’m his sister, of course I have backup files.”
You set the first one in, smiling as you saw Tony interacting with Dumm-E...you missed the little robot. He had been both yours and Tony’s best friend for the longest time. You sat back down next to Thor, leaning into his embrace. He was the only one able to give you the strength to get through the day. He happily pulled you closer, setting a kiss on your forehead.
Thor’s laughs completely shake you which makes you laugh even harder. Thor allows his hand arm to lower to your waist, bringing you even closer to him. You couldn’t deny that it made your heartbeat a little faster. You’d always had a soft spot for the god. He was caring, fun, hilarious, and good looking-even if he had gained some weight.
You placed your arm over his chest, snuggling into him even more. He sighed with contentment. You smiled and watched as Tony blasted himself into a car. You winced in sympathy. When you had been making your glider-which was essentially a hoverboard-you had the same result as Tony in you trial runs.
You had to laugh at the face Tony made when Dumm-E rolled over and started to spray him with the fire extinguisher even though there was no fire. “Morgan, that robot was named Dumm-E, he was your father’s best friend for the longest time. He was always dependable and he did make mistakes but he was always there when Tony needed him.”
“What happened to Dumm-E?”
Your smile dimmed. “Tony relocated Dumm-E and a little while after he did, a bad man blew up the facility where Dumm-E was located.” You sighed, “I half expected Dumm-E to come out of the rubble with a fire extinguisher, but he had been crushed.”
“Do you think we could build Dumm-E-II,” Morgan asked as she looked at you with big eyes.
You felt yourself nodding before you came up with a verbal response. “Sure thing, Bug.”

The Next Day
You carefully removed yourself from Thor’s embrace. Everyone had ended up falling asleep watching home movies of you and Tony along with some later videos of the Avengers and what not. You paused the television, smiling sadly as you looked at Tony’s bright smile.
You wiped at your eyes, determined to not cry. You had planned to have a relaxing day filled with fun activities, but looking at the picture of your brother on the screen, all you wanted to do was be alone and cry your eyes out.
Slowly arms encased you from behind. He rested his head on your shoulder. “There are other ways to have fun today, Lady (Y/N).” He knew your plan for today. It was packed so you wouldn’t have to think much about your brother.
You turned in Thor’s embrace, wrapping your arms around him and resting your head on his chest. “I don’t want to disappoint anyone,” you mumbled.
“You will not disappoint anyone. It is not just them that are in pain, but you as well. Stop putting everyone else ahead of your own needs.”
“I’m not good with that thinking, Thor.”
“Then I will help you much like you have helped me.”

Halfway through the day, Thor had gotten you away from everyone else. He wanted to show you something. You followed him blindly...you trusted this man with your life. He brought you out of the compound and down a path through the trees. After walking a short distance, he turned to you, a huge smile on his face. “I am going to have to ask you to close your eyes. I promise to not let you fall.”
You did as he said. He came behind you and carefully led you a couple more feet. Slowly he took his hands from your eyes. “Open them.”
You gasped as you were met with a clearing full of beautiful flowers. “Thor-how-how did you find this?” You waded out into the flowers, smile getting wider as the time ticked on.
“I was out on my daily walk and stumbled across the clearing. I thought that you would like it here and that it could give you some happiness today.” He walked over to you smiling. He wrapped his arms around you as you looked at all the beauty.
“I don’t need flowers to make me happy Thor. All I really need is to have you around. You never let me stay in a bad mood. Simply seeing you with a smile on your face makes me happy,” you whisper as if talking any louder would disturb the peace and tranquility of the clearing.
A kiss was pressed to your cheek and he carefully turned you around. “You make me the happiest I have ever been, Lady (Y/N). Seeing you each day brings a smile to my face. I hope I am not being too forward, but would you allow me to take you on a midgardian date?”
Your smile brightened at his words. “I would love to go on a date with you, Thor.” You leaned up and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. “And thank you for sharing the clearing with me.”
He leaned in and pressed another kiss to your lips. “Anything to bring that smile to your face.”
“Keep kissing me and there will be a permanent smile on my face.”
“I see you are taking my advice that there are other ways to have fun.”
