Rain World Repurposed - CARNIVOROUS PLANTS

There are many variants of carnivorous plants, the most common ones are the Pole Plant, Monster Kelp, and the Worm grass. However, there is one more plant that grew in the middle of dense forestry inside Chasing Wind's facility ground. Its name is the Mortis Tree, aka the Death Tree.

The Mortis Tree is a carnivorous plant that mimics trees as a way to trap its prey that needs shading or feed on the leaves on its body. It also has a bright peak that acts as a lure for its prey. Once the prey stepped under the tree or one of its branches, the tree would fall onto the prey and crush the prey down disabling it from escaping. Once the prey has been crushed, the tree began to suck it dry of blood and liquid even when the prey is still alive.

Once it's done sucking its prey dry, it buried the corpse underneath the tree so other prey won't become suspicious of it.

The Mortis Tree usually hunts on everything that stood under it, from small to even larger prey such as vultures or even Rain Deers.
