TRIGGER WARNING!
This is heartbreaking. Please spread the news about Mohammad Moradi, who committed suicide in order to bring attention to the plight of Iranians living under the Islamic Republic’s repressive regime.
Do not let his death be in vain.
And before you dismiss his actions as an act of someone who is depressed, in his his last video message, he made it clear that he is committing suicide not because of an underlying mental health issue but rather to bring attention to Iran. Suicide as a form of political protest is social phenomenon that cannot be dismissed simply as being irrational or patholognomic. We should consider protest suicide to be a meaningful social action as purposive political act intended to change oppressive policies or practices.

Due to the news of Mohammad Moradi suicide attempt for the sake of bringing awareness to Iran. I just want to say, I know his video can trigger other Iranian's that are struggling... I know it might not mean much from a non Iranian. But I want you to stay, I realize it must be torture and mentally straining to see so many atrocities everyday, hearing news that someone was executed, has been sexually assaulted, shot...etc and no action from governments around the world. But your life is precious and so needed and wanted in this world, it's a miracle you are still breathing. Take breaks from the internet if it is making you spiral. I constantly want to urge non Iranians to speak up because for Iranian's having to share such traumatic news on a day to day basis is incredibly draining and soul crushing. This is why we need to do are part, and be their voices, not just to spread awareness, but for Iranian's to have the opportunity to rest during this very painful time.

French authorities were Tuesday investigating as suicide the drowning of an Iranian man in the southeastern city of Lyon who had said on social media he was going to kill himself to draw attention to the protest crackdown in Iran.
Mohammad Moradi, 38, was found in the Rhone river that flows through the centre of Lyon late on Monday, a police source, who asked not to be named, told AFP.
Emergency services intervened but were unable to resuscitate him on the river bank, the source added.
Moradi had posted a video on Instagram  saying he was about to drown himself to highlight the crackdown on protesters in Iran since death in custody of Mahsa Amini, 22, after her arrest in Tehran for an alleged breach of the country's strict dress code for women.
"When you see this video, I will be dead," Moradi said, in halting but comprehensible French.
Lyon prosecutors said they had launched a probe to "verify the theory of suicide, in view in particular of the messages posted by the person concerned on social networks announcing his intention" to take his life.
The incident has shocked the city, with a small rally to remember Moradi taking place on the banks of the Rhone on Tuesday.
Mourners placed candles and wreaths on the riverside railings, an AFP correspondent said.
"Mohammad Moradi killed himself to make the voice of revolution heard in Iran. Our voice is not carried by Western media," said Timothee Amini of the local Iranian community.
According to several members of the Iranian community, Moradi was a history undergraduate and worked in a restaurant.
He lived in Lyon with his wife for three years.
"His heart was beating for Iran, he could no longer bear the regime," said Amini.
Protests have gripped Iran for over three months.
The Oslo-based group Iran Human Rights (IHR) said Tuesday 476 protesters have been killed in the crackdown with at least 100 Iranians risking execution over the protests, in addition to two young men already executed.
"The police are attacking people, we have lost a lot of sons and daughters, we have to do something," Moradi said in the video.
"I decided to commit suicide in the Rhone river. It is a challenge, to show that we, Iranian people, we are very tired of this situation" he added.

Iranian man's death in France shakes distressed diaspora
Iranian man’s death in France shakes distressed diaspora
PARIS — When a 38-year-old man anguished over the protests in Iran took his own life in the French city of Lyon, fellow members of the Iranian diaspora felt his pain. Three months into the anti-government protests, Iranians abroad are going through a spectrum of emotions. Hey guys, I know this isn’t like my usual content but PLEASE sign this petition.
Amir-Hossein Moradi, Mohammad Rajabi and Saeed Tamjidi were arrested for protesting against the 300% increase in fuel prices in Iran. They were electrified, beat and hung upside down, or in other words, tortured to confess to crimes they did not commit. They are not allowed to have a lawyer.
According to this article by Amnesty, Moradi was interrogated with no lawyer present and was tortured, as I’ve stated above. He only ‘confessed’ when promised medical treatment for the injuries his interrogators had inflicted on him. He was never given said medical treatment.
After hearing of this, Rajabi and Tamjidi attempted to flee to Turkey but were later arrested and brought back to Iran.
On Tuesday, their death sentences were confirmed.
This is urgent and time-sensitive. PLEASE spread this post around like wildfire by reblogging and sharing the petition to anyone you can. Innocent lives are at stake.
(Sources: Amnesty, Guardian, and @taiiybaali on IG.)

Hey, sorry to jump in, but it would really mean so much to me if you guys can sign this petition and help share it?
These three innocent Iranian people were arrested in the protests against the fuel prices back in November 2019, and were held and tortured all these months in prison.
Now, the government has announced a death sentence for them, and they are to be executed.
I don't know if this petition will help anything, but it would mean so much if you guys help their voices be heard, internationally so. So that even if our government try to stop us Iranians by things like internet shutdown(like they did in November), others outside of here can help these 3 men.
I hope you all have nice days. Thank you.

Three Iranian men are being sentenced to death for being involved in protests after an unfair trial and being subjected to torture

Here in America people believe that being made to wear masks in public is a violation of their freedom... Meanwhile innocent people are going to be executed in Iran.
Do whatever you can to spread this message. The more people who are informed, the better.
Saeed. Mohammed. Amir-Hossein.
Their names deserve to be said too.
