you're so lucky we have three used book stores in my town, and only one has a norwegian book.. (it's a children's book about trolls) and like two danish ones :/

tbh i have no idea who brings all these books in... and this is a hipster college town not really known for its diversity so idk maybe there’s a norwegian living here and giving to the store a lot (if this norwegian is out there hmu i need speaking practice)

(also i may upload some pdfs of these later school is keeping me busy but i want everyone to have resources so keep an eye out!)

also i’m so bad with these things but sdjfdsjkfhsk ok lets try (this is excluding obvious ones like friends/family/etc. ya know what i’m saying):

1.  music (any and all types except country pretty much)

2. concerts (honestly i don’t think i’ve ever felt better than i do when i’m at a concert its just,,, an out of body experience in general)

3. seeing people fight for themselves/for what they believe in (like the lgbtq+ community, black lives matter, mental illness stigmas, f*ck trump, and so on...)

4. dogs. dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs DOGGOS

5. skam and the people i’ve met through watching the show that have helped me in ways that they don’t even know. skam came into my life when i was at a low point and being able to connect with all of these people is something i’m never ever going to be able to forget. so thank you to all of you and i’m so so grateful for this solace of a community (excluding the ugly side of it,,,,like pls)

I looove your dandelion - green scetchbook post!! Just one question? Shouldn't it be løvetannbarn instead og maskrosbarn? I thought maskrosbarn is Swedish and løvetannbarn Norwegian.. (It's really just a question! No worries!!)

Hiii! :) Thank you, and no worries. It’s mostly because I knew what the definition for “maskrosbarn” was from before, and I wasn’t sure if it was the same in other languages/countries. (because when i googled dandelion child in the past it didn’t give me the same definition). And the definition of ‘maskrosbarn’ fit more for Isak. Not sure if it makes sense. but tbqh, mostly I was just too tired to google more and I knew what ‘maskrosbarn’ was and could translate it without using google translate. lol :)

wow that’s a tough question! i like languages like japanese because they have kind of a “flowing” or “chanting” sound, and no tough sounds, i don’t know if you get my meaning ^^’ but i definitely don’t know all the languages so i can’t really answer!

17. Have you ever been embarrassed by a native speaker of the language you are trying to learn?

i think so? not to the point of not wanting to get better or learn it anymore though, but since i studied in china for a year and a half there are most definitely times where i made chinese friends laugh with my awkward pronunciation or bad grammar lmao
