Kuya Pilipinas Did you know there's a forgotten tradition that being replaced by Americanized Halloween we called them "Pangangaluluwa".

"Of course!"

"Where us Filipinos go door to door and sing! It's kind of like caroling, but it happens the day before All Saints Day. We also prepare food like ube, sticky rice, or kamote as a tribute for the souls. Although it's a dying tradition, I'm glad to see it being revived in some parts of the country. In fact, we try and mesh it together with Halloween by wearing scary costumes."

What do you think of the "Filipinos" chocolate biscuit?

"You mean the Spanish biscuit right? The one that insinuates that I'm 'dark on the outside and white on the inside'? I've already tried to get these recalled multiple times."

"Sheesh. Another reason why I don't like Spain..."

What's your relationship with Taiwan?

“Honestly, we’ve had our differences especially as of lately. It’s confusing.”

“Sure, we’ve known each other for a long time. She says I’m her second-most hated country, but I’m also her ninth most liked?? What is that even supposed to mean?! Do I have to write out an equation to see if we’re friends or not? We’ve had a lot of disputes over land and borders and it always comes out when we talk.”

What are your relations with Macao?

"We're on neutral terms. We mostly see each other for business purposes- but don't really interact outside of meeting room. It's really weird to think about how in some sense, we're technically cousins, yet I've rarely felt connected to him."

"There's still a lot to achieve when it comes to LGBTQIA+ rights in this country. In the past, people of different identites held a role to play and were seen as integral to the society. However, as Catholicism is now the most predominant religion, there's a lot more of a clash...It's not to say that they aren't accepted here, the unfortunate reality is that rights still need to be fought for."
