Riko [An Angel that Enjoys Manual Labour] Part 2
Previously: Part 1
Miharu: Okay, now that weāve gathered up some cardboard, Iām guessing next we start packing?
Riko: Bingo! Quick on the uptake as always. You three can get started, Iāll go get a rental car!
---
Aya: Huffā¦can we take a break?
Mahoro: Oh, good idea. I could use a drink.
Riko: No can do. Factoring in the time itāll take to transport and bring everything in, we donāt have a second to spare.
Mahoro: Wait, are you serious right now?
Riko: Come on, just look at Miharu!
Miharu: Oh gosh! This packing tape is so easy to cut!
Riko: See?
Mahoro: Uh, sorry, I donāt think I can give you thatā¦
Aya: ā¦Oh, wow, sheās right. This tape IS easy to cut!
Mahoro: Wha? Aya, you traitor.
Riko: ā¦Alright, letās keep this up. After this, weāre loading everything up!
---
Thud
Riko: Alright! Thatās everything loaded inā¦
Mahoro: Whew, thatās another step down.
Aya: That sure was tiring.
Miharu: I also finished sweeping up the room, Riko.
Riko: Nice! Now we can head to the new place.
Riko: Miharu, can you ride shotgun and help me navigate? Aya and Mahoro, you two can take the train!
Mahoro: We donāt know where weāre going.
Riko: Here ya go. Manager wrote the address down for me earlier.
Aya: Oh, itās pretty far from here.
Riko: I think taking the train will be faster, so you two might get there first. Either way, see you on the battlefield!
Miharu: Hehehā¦see you on the battlefield, Aya, Mahoro!
Mahoro: Y-yeahā¦
Aya: ā¦Yes, weāll see you on the battlefield.
Mahoro: I cannot believe how far gone you areā¦
---
Vroom. Car comes to a stop.
Riko: Alrighty, here we are!
Miharu: Whew! Thanks for the exciting ride, Riko.
Riko: I wonder if the other two are here already? Iāll go unlock the door.
Mahoro: Oyyyy. Riko, Miharu!
Aya: Looks like we got here right as they did.
Riko: A-are you kidding me?!
Mahoro: What is it nowā¦
Riko: Hey girlsā¦so Iāve got good news and bad newsā¦which do you wanna hear first?
Aya: Letāsā¦start with the bad news.
Riko: Sure. So the bad news isā¦
Riko: Thereās no elevator. The unit is on the 3rd floor, so weāll have to bring everything up three flights of stairs.
Aya: No wayā¦
Mahoro: Whatās the good news?
Riko: All that climbing up and down the stairsā¦will make for some good exercise!
Mahoro: What.
Miharu: Oh good, I was looking to burn some calories anyway!
Mahoro: Miharuā¦ I respect the optimism. I donāt know how you do it.
Riko: Come on, donāt start whining on me now. Find your inner peace and letās get moving!
Miharu: Yeah!
Riko: ā¦Whoa, hold up!
Miharu: ā¦Yeees?
Riko: Miharu, is something wrong with your ankle? It looks swollen.
Miharu: Iā¦guess I mustāve sprained it earlier.
Riko: This is too swollen to ignoreā¦you should sit this one out. Take a rest.
Miharu: What? Butā¦I still want to helpā¦
Riko: Thatās very kind of you, Miharu, but weāre carrying boxes up 3 floors here. You wonāt help anyone if you get yourself hurt even more. Itās a thin line between bravery and foolishness, you know?
Mahoro: Aya and I were saying, we both feel pretty out of sorts too, honestly.
Riko: Gotcha. I canāt ask you guys to push yourselves past your limit. Soā¦
Riko: Those who can still move, follow after me. If it starts getting too difficult, just focus on my back!
Miharu: Why would you go so far, Riko?
Riko: I guessā¦because itās there. [1]
Miharu: Goodnessā¦so this is the mindset of a true professionalā¦!
---
Manager: Thank you all so much. I canāt believe you really did it.
Miharu: Itās all thanks to Riko.
Riko: Not at all! Moving house isnāt a one-person job. It was a team effort through and through.
Manager: Really, I canāt thank you all enough.
Mahoro: How was your meeting?
Aya: Did it go wellā¦?
Manager: Well, you seeā¦
Miharu: Yesā¦?
Manager: ā¦
Riko: ā¦
Manager: It went extremely well!
Mahoro: Really wanted to build the suspense, huh?
Manager: I think weāll get some good results out of it. Weāll hopefully hear back soon.
Aya: Really?
Manager: Yeah. Now then, how about we go get dinner? My treat. Both as thanks for helping with the moveāthough I could never thank you enoughāand as an early congratulations.
Miharu: Treating 4 people at once would be rather overwhelming, wouldnāt it? Donāt go bankrupting yourself, now.
Manager: Youāre too kind, Miharuā¦okay, how about that place over there with the red lanterns? It looks like it should beā¦
Riko: No no no, we gotta go big or go home! Itās a celebration, you know? Come on, I see a yakiniku place over there, letās go!
Riko: Weāll get some beer while weāre at it. Right, Miharu?
Miharu: Heehee, that does sound nice. Very well, thanks in advance for the meal!
Fin.

Riko [An Angel that Enjoys Manual Labour] Part 1
Manager: At this point, I think I have no choice but to get her involvedā¦
Manager: This may seem like abuse of authorityā¦and it probably is. I canāt expect her to ever forgive me for thisā¦but I have no other choice.
Manager: All I can do now is entrust it all to herā¦
Riko: Hey, Manager! Hope I didnāt keep you waiting!
Manager: What a beautiful smileā¦itās angelic. Yes, thatās itļæ½ļæ½ļæ½sheās like an angelā¦
---
Riko: Huh?! You want me to help you move? Today?!
Manager: Iām really sorry, I realize how sudden it is.
Riko: How does something like this even happen? Did you not hire a moving company like a normal person?
Manager: Well, you know how it is! Schedules are so hard to line up. I wasnāt even sure Iād have the time for this until two days agoā¦
Riko: Hmhm. ā¦Go on.
Manager: And, well, Iām sorry again, but I really need your help hereā¦
Riko: ā¦Go on.
Manager: I have to be completely moved out of here and into my new house before the end of todayā¦
Riko: ā¦Uh-huh?
Manager: ā¦So Iām really in a pickle here.
Riko: Ugh, hold up. You knew you had to be moved out by today, and you havenāt even started packing?
Manager: Itās just, Iāve been really busy these last couple daysā¦
Riko: Sighā¦Okay. And is there a reason it HAS to be done by today?
Manager: My lease ends after this monthā¦and itās the 30th, soā¦
Riko: ā¦You really should have thought this whole thing through more. You know, made a plan or something?
Manager: ā¦I have nothing to say for myself.
Riko: Ugh, geez, honestlyā¦
Manager: So I figured Iād turn to you for help. You work part-time with a moving company, after allā¦
Riko: Right, I think I understand the situation. Stillā¦
Manager: I know, I know. Iām sorry. I donāt expect you to work for free. Iāll treat you to dinner, a-andā¦
Riko: Well, letās talk about that later. For now, letās figure out how weāre gonna do this. Weāre gonna need more hands on deck, so Iāll call in the others for backup.
Manager: Um. Are you sure thatāll be okay?
Riko: You think thereāll be a problem?
Manager: Wonāt they, you know, think really poorly of me for this?
Riko: They probably will, yeah.
Manager: Guess I deserve itā¦
Riko: Well, it is what it is. Youāll just have to live with it.
---
Riko: ā¦And so, thatās where we are now.
Aya: What the heck?
Mahoro: Aya, youāre still young. Donāt end up like this, you hear me? You have to do better.
Miharu: Now now. Managerās always doing so much for us, Iām sure we can help them out of this mess, right?
Manager: Sniffleā¦thank youā¦
Riko: Honestly Iād love to give you a piece of my mind, but itāll have to wait. For now, youāre a friend in need, after all!
Manager: Iām so, so, so, SO grateful to you all. Iām so lucky to have you all in my life.
Mahoro: Okay, okay, we get it. Cut it out already, itās getting kinda embarrassingā¦
Aya: Yeah.
Manager: Nowā¦you seeā¦I, um, actually have one more thing I need to tell youā¦
Miharu: ā¦Yeees?
Manager: I swear I didnāt intend for this to happen, it only just came up, but umā¦I have to leave for workā¦
Miharu: Youāre kidding, right?
Mahoro: I think even a saint would take a swing at you at this point. Are you for real?
Aya: This is the worst.
Riko: Wait, and at first I was the only one you called. Did you think I could do all this by myself?!
Manager: I mean, you ARE pretty incredible, so I thought maybeā¦well. Anyway, I promise Iāll run back as fast as I can as soon as I finish this.
Riko: Like hell I could do this solo! And really? You know we all have things weād rather be doing than helping you move, right?!
Manager: I know, I know. I promise Iāll work my tail off for you all in return!
Miharu: Umā¦Manager-san, what exactly is the work you have to do now?
Manager: Itās for you guys, of course!
Manager: It was very sudden, but we managed to coordinate a little meeting with a certain radio director today. If things go well, we might be able to get you all a gig as show regulars.
Miharu: ā¦
Mahoro: ā¦
Aya: ā¦
Riko: ā¦Just get going already!!
Manager: Thank you thank you thank you! Iāll be back ASAP!!
Manager leaves.
Mahoro: This is messed up, right?
Aya: I sure think so.
Miharu: Now, now. Manager-san is working hard for our sakes, so letās believe in them for now. Alright then, Riko, where do we start?
Riko: Right, letās seeā¦I guess first weāll need to get cardboard to box everything up.
Aya: Can we really get this done before the end of the day?
Riko: Not just the end of the day, weāll want to have everything inside the new place while thereās still daylight. We wouldnāt want to bother the neighbours.
Aya: Do we even have the time to worry about the neighbours?
Riko: Weāll have to make time. Weāve got professional standards to maintain!
Mahoro: Uh, youāre the only professional here, remember?
Riko: Come on, letās get everything packed up. Weāll think about whatās next after weāre done that.
Riko: Alright, ready? Here we goā¦!

Riko [Unhatched Seiyuu] Part 2
Previously: Part 1
Vroooom.
Sound of the waves.
Riko: Alright, weāre here!
Mahoro: Wowā¦I had no idea about this placeā¦
Riko: Pretty cool, isnāt it? Talk about a picturesque view! A perfect cliff with a gorgeous view of the ocean.
Riko: Sometimes, when I want to just get away from it all for a while, I come here.
Mahoro: Hmm. And what makes you want to do that?
Riko: Heh. It probably sounds weird, but I guess when Iām missing my family a lot?
Mahoro: Wait, how come? Canāt you just go home for a visit in that case?
Riko: Wellā¦the thing isā¦
Mahoro: Mhm?
Riko: I have a little brother in high school, and a sister in middle school. So Iām the only one whoās left the nest, you know?
Mahoro: Right.
Riko: So it just kind ofā¦feels bad, I guess, if Iā¦
Riko: If I were to come home before Iāve even made anything of myself. Wouldnāt that be justā¦lame?
Mahoro: ā¦
Riko: I know my family worries about me. My chosen career isnāt exactly a stable one, after all.
Mahoro: ā¦Right.
Riko: So I donāt want to go back just yet. I donāt want to go home unless I can hold my head high and say that I worked hard and gave it my all.
Mahoro: I donāt think you need to be so stubborn about it.
Riko: I wouldnāt say Iām being stubborn. Iām justā¦focusing on all the work Iāve still got to do first.
Mahoro: That said, I do feel a littleā¦envious of you, I think.
Riko: How come?
Mahoro: I donāt have anything like that.
Mahoro: Iām an only child, and my familyās fairly well-off. From childhood, I was already in the spotlight as an actress.
Riko: Our poor washed-up ex-actress.
Mahoro: Cut it out. It does get in my way sometimes, you know. Old habits die hard. I still sometimes catch myself getting complacent and just drifting through it all.
Riko: I seeā¦
Mahoro: Iāve only made it this far thanks to everyone else being there with me. If I was on my ownā¦I canāt know for sure, but I donāt think I couldāve stuck with it.
Riko: I donāt think thatās true. Youāreā¦pretty strong, you know.
Mahoro: I dunno about that. I still think it is.
Riko: Weāve gotta keep at it, yeah? Along with everyone else.
Mahoro: Yeah. For sure.
Riko: Heheā¦this may have gotten a little heavier than I thought it would. Too much?
Mahoro: I wouldnāt say soā¦then again, weāre both turning a little red here.
Riko: Thatās the frightful power of the sea, I guessā¦come on, letās go home! Our family, AiRBLUE, is waiting!
Mahoro: Roger that.

Riko [Unhatched Seiyuu] Part 1
Riko: (Itās so coolā¦)
Riko: (Just imagine going for a ride on a bike like thisā¦)
Bike engine.
Mahoro: ā¦Riko?
Riko: Whoa! Oh, itās you, Mahoro.
Mahoro: Is there a reason youāre drooling out here in front of this motorcycle shop?
Riko: I wasnāt drooling.
Mahoro: You might as well have been. You want this bike that bad, huh?
Riko: Whoa, donāt tell meā¦
Mahoro: What?
Riko: Are you planning on buying it for me?
Mahoro: Where on earth did you get that idea?
Riko: Guess not, huhā¦
Mahoro: Duh. You think Iām Yuzuha or something?
Riko: This brand is top class, you know. Even if you get one secondhand, itās still just as good as a brand-new one.
Mahoro: You already have a motorcycle, donāt you? That old thing that makes you look like youāre off to do a paper route.
Riko: Hey now, thatās my dear partner youāre insulting.
Mahoro: I wasnāt trying to be rude. But if you love it so much, shouldnāt it be enough for you?
Riko: Itās not about being enough, justā¦I was just thinking.
Riko: Canāt you picture it? How cool it would be to zoom down the countryside on a cool-looking bike like this?
Mahoro: Sure.
Riko: Clad in a full black bodysuit, looking out from a hilltop, taking my helmet off and shaking my hair loose in the windā¦
Mahoro: Ooh.
Riko: Someone passing by would ask, āWhat is it youāre riding for, Miss?ā
Mahoro: And your answer?
Riko: āI ā¦want to feel the wind.ā And with that, Iād get back on my faithful steed and disappear into the other side of the wind.
Vroooom.
Mahoro: ā¦Where youāve got more papers to drop off.
Riko: Iām not doing a paper route!
Mahoro: But that does sound niceā¦
Riko: You wanna go for a ride? Itād be a fun way to spend our day off.
Mahoro: I donāt have a license, though.
Riko: Thatās fine, you can ride with me. Iāve got an extra helmet.
Mahoro: ā¦Iāve seen your bike. I donāt remember it having room for two.
Riko: I can attach an extra seat to the back. Itāll be fine, I promise!
Mahoro: ā¦Well, since youāre offering.

Aya [Look Up to the Sky] Part 2
Previously: Part 1
Mahoro: This has been, āMahoro and Miharuā!
Miharu: Thank you, thank you!
Applause.
Kirika: Excellent work.
Aya: (They were so good.)
Kirika: Good stuff, you two. Okay, next, Kamuro-san and Hinakura-san.
Riko: Yessir!
Aya: (My heart feels like itās going to burst out of my chest.)
Kirika: Letās see, your team name is āAyarikoā? Good, good.
Aya: (Iāve done everything I could.)
Riko: Letās go get āem, Aya.
Aya: R-right.
Aya: (I just have to do it like we rehearsed.)
Kirika: Alright, get ready.
Aya: (Waitā¦how did it start again? Oh no, I canāt remember the first line! What do I do?!)
Kirika: Give it up for āAyarikoā. Begin!
Aya: (Whatever, itās all up to fate now! Whatever happens happens!)
---
Riko: Thank you very much!
Miharu: ā¦
Mahoro: Whoaā¦
Kirika: Iām amazed, truly. You sure outdid yourselves.
Aya: ā¦Huh?
Aya: Just now, Iā¦
Miharu: That was amazing!
Mahoro: My cheeks hurt from laughing! Iām impressed.
Kirika: Might I ask which of you wrote the script?
Riko: Uh, technically Aya, butā¦
Kirika: Thatās impressive, Kamuro-san.
Aya: Um, I just totally blanked outā¦
Kirika: Rather than creating some quirky persona, you went into it with your true, genuine self. A side of you weāve never seen before.
Aya: ā¦Huh?
Kirika: To be honest, I know comedy and bursts of laughter are pretty much the furthest thing from you, so I was expecting you to come across stiff and forced during your skit.
Kirika: But you blew those expectations out of the water! You really set yourself free.
Aya: Iā¦did?
Kirika: Iāve never heard of a boke who didnāt say a single word in the entire skit! Iām speechless.
Aya: What.
Riko: Ayaā¦youā¦
Aya: Rikoā¦Iā¦
Riko: You were killing it up there!
Aya: Huh?
Riko: You totally planned that, didn't you?! I was so unprepared! But thanks to you, it went really well.
Aya: Y-youāre welcome.
Riko: But! Letās stick to the script next time, yeah? No more surprises.
Aya: Ohā¦sure, of course.
Aya: (I honestly just totally froze up, so getting all this praise isā¦)
Aya: (I feel awfulā¦!)
Fin.

Aya [Unhatched Seiyuu] Part 2
Previously: Part 1
Kirika: Here. Dry your tears.
Aya: Phew. I donāt know where that came from.
Kirika: You know, most people go through their lives keeping so many emotions bottled up inside.
Aya: Huh?
Kirika: Starting almost as soon as weāre born, weāre raised to keep our feelings under control, taught to never let them show.
Kirika: No one does it intentionally, but thatās what it takes to survive in this corporate world we live in.
Aya: ā¦Yeah.
Kirika: But people canāt help feeling sad sometimes. And when we bottle it up, all that sadness just builds up until your very soul wants to scream. Sometimes, we need to let it all out.
Aya: Right.
Kirika: And actors like us can even make use of it.
Kirika: Itās a job where we get to lay bare the emotions in our hearts.
Kirika: Depending on your point of view, it can all be part of keeping ourselves healthy.
Aya: Right.
Kirika: Kamuro-san, you should let yourself feel your feelings more. Cry when you want to cry. Smile when you want to smile.
Aya: Iā¦try to.
Kirika: You may think you do, but what does your true self feel? Please, I encourage you to try and pay more attention to your own self.
Aya: ā¦Okay.
---
Aya: (My true self, huhā¦)
Riko: Hey, you guys wanna get pizza?
Miharu: That sounds good to me!
Mahoro: Same.
Riko: How about you, Aya?
Aya: I donāt mind.
Riko: Itās settled, then! Iāll take my motorbike and pick it up, we get a free one that way.
Mahoro: Hold up. We can get an even better deal if we order online.
Miharu: What kind of crust should we get? I like thin crust so itās nice and crunchy.
Riko: Same.
Mahoro: Me three.
Mahoro: How about you, Aya?
Aya: ā¦
Aya: (Myā¦true selfā¦I have to let it out.)
Miharu: Whatās wrong, Aya?
Slam.
Aya: Iā¦! I prefer when the crust is soft and fluffy! When itās not fluffy, I honestly feel robbed!
Aya: Thatās all I can think when I have to eat a thin crust pizza!
Mahoro: ā¦Huh?
Riko: Iām fine either way.
Miharu: Same. I donāt mind getting soft-crust if thatās how you want it, Aya.
Aya: (I did it! I was able to express my true feelings!)
Aya: Really? Thank you!
Aya leaves.
Riko: Ayaā¦Iād honestly been worried about her, sheās looked real tired recently.
Miharu: But it looks like sheās all cheered up, judging from that smile just now.
Mahoro: Allās well that ends well. Alright, Iāll order a soft-crust pizza then. Oh, what toppings should we get?
Fin.
