Joseph's Brothers Return to Canaan
1 And when Ya‛aqoḇ saw that there was grain in Mitsrayim, Ya‛aqoḇ said to his sons, “Why do you look at each other?”
2 And he said, “See, I have heard that there is grain in Mitsrayim. Go down to that place and buy for us there, and let us live and not die.”
3 And Yosĕph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain in Mitsrayim.
4 But Ya‛aqoḇ did not send Yosĕph’s brother Binyamin with his brothers, for he said, “Lest some harm come to him.”
5 And the sons of Yisra’ĕl went to buy grain among those who journeyed, for the scarcity of food was in the land of Kena‛an.
6 And Yosĕph was the governor over the land, he was the one who sold to all the people of the land. And Yosĕph’s brothers came and bowed down before him with their faces to the earth.
7 And Yosĕph saw his brothers and recognised them, but he acted as a stranger to them and spoke to them harshly, and said to them, “Where do you come from?” And they said, “From the land of Kena‛an to buy food.”
8 So Yosĕph recognised his brothers, but they did not recognise him.
9 And Yosĕph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”
10 And they said to him, “No, my master, but your servants have come to buy food.
11 “We are all one man’s sons, we are trustworthy, your servants are not spies.”
12 But he said to them, “No, but you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”
13 And they said, “Your servants are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Kena‛an. And see, the youngest is with our father today, and one is no more.”
14 And Yosĕph said to them, “It is as I spoke to you, saying, ‘You are spies!’
15 “By this you shall be proven: By the life of Pharaoh, you do not leave this place unless your youngest brother comes here.
16 “Send one of you, and let him bring your brother, while you are kept in prison. So let your words be proven to see whether there is any truth in you, or else, by the life of Pharaoh, you are spies!”
17 And he put them all together in prison for three days.
18 Now Yosĕph said to them the third day, “Do this and live, for I fear Elohim:
19 “If you are trustworthy, let one of your brothers be confined to your prison house, and you, go, bring grain for the scarcity of food of your houses.
20 “And bring your youngest brother to me, and let your words be confirmed, and you do not die.” And so they did.
21 And they said to each other, “Truly, we are guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the distress of his life when he pleaded with us, yet we did not listen, that is why this distress has come upon us.”
22 And Re’uḇĕn answered them, saying, “Did I not speak to you, saying, ‘Do not sin against the boy,’ and you would not listen? And see, his blood is now required of us.”
23 And they did not know that Yosĕph understood them, for he spoke to them through an interpreter.
24 And he turned himself away from them and wept, but came back to them and spoke to them. And he took Shim‛on from them and bound him before their eyes.
25 And Yosĕph commanded and they filled their sacks with grain, also to put back every man’s silver to his sack, and to give them food for the journey. And thus it was done for them.
26 So they loaded their donkeys with the grain and went from there.
27 And as one of them opened his sack to give his donkey fodder at the lodging place, he saw his silver, for there it was in the mouth of his sack!
28 And he said to his brothers, “My silver has been returned, and there it is, in my sack!” And their hearts sank and they were afraid, saying to each other, “What is this that Elohim has done to us?”
29 So they came to Ya‛aqoḇ their father in the land of Kena‛an and reported to him all that befell them, saying,
30 “The man, the master of the land, spoke to us harshly, and took us for spies of the land.
31 “But we said to him, ‘We are trustworthy, we are not spies.
32 ‘We are twelve brothers, sons of our father. One is no more, and the youngest is today with our father in the land of Kena‛an.’
33 “And the man, the master of the land, said to us, ‘By this I know that you are trustworthy: Leave one of your brothers here with me, and take food for the scarcity of food of your households, and go.
34 ‘And bring your youngest brother to me, then I know that you are not spies, but that you are trustworthy – I give your brother to you, and you move about in the land.’ ”
35 And it came to be as they emptied their sacks, that look, the bundle of each man’s silver was in his sack! And when they and their father saw the bundles of silver, they were afraid.
36 And Ya‛aqoḇ their father said to them, “You have bereaved me – Yosĕph is no more, and Shim‛on is no more, and you would take Binyamin! All this is against me.”
37 So Re’uḇĕn spoke to his father, saying, “Take the lives of my two sons if I do not bring him back to you. Put him in my hands, and I myself bring him back to you.”
38 But he said, “My son is not going down with you, for his brother is dead, and he is left alone. If any harm should come to him along the way in which you go, then you would bring down my grey hair with sorrow to the grave.” — Genesis 42 | The Scriptures (ISR 1998) The Scriptures 1998 Copyright © 1998 Institute for Scripture Research. YOU ARE UNLEAVENED!
Tumblr media
Therefore cleanse out the old leaven, so that you are a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Messiah our Pěsacḥ was sacrificed for us. So then let us celebrate the Feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. QORINTIYIM ALEPH (1 CORINTHIANS) 5:7-8
For seven days you are to eat matzah, and the seventh day is to be a festival for YHVH. Matzah is to be eaten throughout the seven days; neither hametz nor leavening agents are to be seen with you throughout your territory. SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 13:6-7
“And it shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah of יהוה is to be in your mouth, for with a strong hand יהוה has brought you out of Mitsrayim. SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 13:9
The Feast of Matzah (Unleavened Bread) speaks of who we truly are in Mashiach-Messiah. Redeemed and delivered from a life of sin.
Yehoshua, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed once and for all. Because of that sacrifice, our debt has been paid, and we no longer owe our lives to the grave. Just as the blood of the first Pesach sacrifices was applied to the doorposts of the homes of Yisrael captive in Egypt. Yehoshua's blood has been applied to the doorpost of our hearts. Yehovah's judgment will pass over us.
When we sin and give in to the desires of the flesh we remember who we used to be.
The crime for many believers is, they allow and entertain sin in their lives when in reality they are no longer sinners once repented, washed in the blood (water immersion), and filled with the Ruach Hakodesh.
When we partake of the Matzah, it reminds us not only that our Pesach - Messiah - also was sacrificed for us, but the He has been sacrificed so that our life could be UNLEAVENED.
This is who we truly are: righteous and without sin.
Abba. . . teach us what it means to be unleavened, to be without sin. Thank you for setting us free, that we may live a life no longer bound to the ways of the flesh. Help us Abba, to live in newness of life. Show us how to behave in following the WAY. Amein.

"Apocalyptic Prophecy... [was] created for the theatre production “Waiting for Adam Spielman,” by Turkish-born Berliner playwright and director Hakan Savas Mican. It was staged in 2010 by the Israeli-born director Michael Ronen at Ballhaus Naunynstasse, Berlin’s groundbreaking “Post-Migrant” Theater. The play, a satirical dystopian fever dream written specifically for the international ensemble of actors who performed it, concerned the hopes and nightmares of a group of pilgrims who have traveled to the ruins of Detroit in search of the lost poet, prophet, and possible messiah Adam Spielman, a musician and drug-addict who, announcing his Apocalyptic Prophecy of Israel’s destruction, disappeared into the reforested city, never to return, but leaving a messianic liturgical text."

AND ALAHIYM spoke את eth all these words, saying, I am YAHUAH ALAHAYKA, which have brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other alahiym before me. You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I YAHUAH ALAHAYKA am a jealous AL, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and guard my commandments. You shall not take את eth-the name of YAHUAH ALAHAYKA in vain; for YAHUAH will not hold him guiltless את eth that takes את eth-his name in vain. Remember את eth-the day of the Shabbath, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labour, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Shabbath of YAHUAH ALAHAYKA: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days YAHUAH made את eth-the heavens and את eth-the earth, את eth-the sea, and את eth-all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YAHUAH blessed את eth-the day of Shabbath, and hallowed it. Honour את eth-your father and את eth-your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which YAHUAH ALAHAYKA gives you. You shall not kill. You shall not break wedlock. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. You shall not lust after your neighbour's house, you shall not lust after your neighbour's woman, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbour's.

‘Mitsrayim’ of the Bible could be located in the Indus Valley
Tumblr media
‘𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐦’ 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 There is no word like “Egypt” in the Bible. The word used is ‘Mitsrayim’. It is only conventionally identified with Egypt. There are two possibilities. The first one is that the Mitsrayim was in Egypt, and the Hebrews went on an Exodus from Egypt to Israel. The second possibility is that Mitsrayim was in the Indus Valley and the Hebrews went from the Indus Valley to Israel.

#DailyDevotion Ancient Israel Is The Shadow Of Christ's Church
Tumblr media
#DailyDevotion Ancient Israel Is The Shadow Of Christ's Church Psalm 114 114 When Israel came out of Egypt and Jacob's family left a people who talk a strange language, 2Judah became His holy place and Israel His kingdom. The psalmist hearkens back to the Exodus when the LORD delivered Israel from the Egyptians. It is a popular theme in the Psalms and why not? It was the establishing act of the nation. The word for Egypt in the Hebrew is mitsrayim. It means misery, for the land was a land of misery for the Israelites. It is interesting that he calls them, a people who talk a strange language. We know Joseph's brothers did not know Egyptian when they got to Joseph. He spoke to them through an interpreter. Certainly, after four hundred or four hundred fifty years, it wouldn't be strange to them at this point. But you know, sometimes you speak with the people of the world who aren't Christians. You're both speaking English but you don't seem to be speaking the same language. This world and age is our Egypt. It is a place of misery for us as we wait for the new heavens and new earth. The people of the world seem to speak a strange language to us. Good is evil and evil is good. The freedom we have in Christ seems like bondage to them and their licentiousness seems like bondage to us. It was in Judah the LORD settled His tabernacle and then allowed for Solomon to build a temple for Him there. Jerusalem, Mt. Zion, is the holy place where the LORD placed His name. The other tribes settled in Canaan were to be His kingdom, the kingdom of God. He became Israel's King in Deuteronomy, at least that is where it is reported. The Church is now the LORD's holy place and kingdom. Where two or three are gathered in Jesus' name, there He is in the midst of us. Our hearts He has made His holy place. Our bodies are His temple. We live primarily as citizens of His Kingdom which shall have no end. 3The sea saw it and fled; the Jordan turned back. The two great crossings of Israel on dry land where there was supposed to be water are referenced here. The first, the Red Sea, was their baptism. They died to their old lives in Egypt. The second, the crossing of the Jordan into Canaan, was also a sort of baptism. They were getting new lives there. When we are baptized into Christ, we experience the death of our old life. We also experience a spiritual resurrection into a new life in Christ. Nevertheless, we await from the LORD to be ushered into the new Promised Land, Mt. Zion, the New Jerusalem, the New Heavens and New Earth, where righteousness reigns. 4The mountains danced like rams; the hills like lambs. 5Why have you fled, O sea? And Jordan, what made you turn back 6O mountains, what made you dance like rams, O hills, like lambs? 7O earth, tremble before the Lord, before Jacob's God He changed the rock into a pool of water and the flint into springs of water. In Exodus, the LORD, through Moses, twice caused living water (water that runs, like a river, stream or creek) to flow from a large Rock. Jesus said, 38“If you believe in Me, streams of living water will flow from you, as the Bible has said.” (John 7) Jesus causes living water to flow from our hearts of stone, giving us the Holy Spirit, so we may always have our spiritual thirst filled by Him. The Living Water, the Holy Spirit, gives eternal life to us and He transforms us into His Holy People, who offer to Him spiritual sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. Heavenly Father, may we remember Your great work of Salvation You wrought in Jesus as the ancient Israelites remembered the Passover, to the praise of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. ‭‭Yehezqĕl (Ezekiel)‬ ‭20:35‭-‬38‬ ‭
[35] “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there. [36] “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master יהוה. [37] “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant, [38] and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. Say You Are My Sister
10 And a scarcity of food came to be in the land, and Aḇram went down to Mitsrayim to dwell there, for the scarcity of food was severe in the land. 11 And it came to be, when he was close to entering Mitsrayim, that he said to Sarai his wife, “See, I know that you are a fair woman to look at. 12 “And it shall be, when the Mitsrites see you, that they shall say, ‘This is his wife.’ And they shall kill me, but let you live. 13 “Please say you are my sister, so that it shall be well with me for your sake, and my life be spared because of you.” — Genesis 12:10-13 | The Scriptures (ISR 1998) The Scriptures 1998 Copyright © 1998 Institute for Scripture Research. Ok everyone here's the 10 commandments as a reminder... basic sunday school stuff, people:
And Elohim spoke all these Words, saying, “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery. “You have no other mighty ones against My face. “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,” but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands. “You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart. “Respect your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged upon the soil which יהוה your Elohim is giving you. “You do not murder. “You do not commit adultery. “You do not steal. “You do not bear false witness against your neighbour. “You do not covet your neighbour’s house, you do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbour. And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the voice of the shophar, and the mountain smoking. And the people saw it, and they trembled and stood at a distance, and said to Mosheh, “You speak with us and we hear, but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.” And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not fear, for Elohim has come to prove you, and in order that His fear be before you, so that you do not sin.”

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to יהוה. ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work. ‘These are the appointed times of יהוה which you proclaim as set-apart gatherings, to bring an offering made by fire to יהוה, an ascending offering and a grain offering, a slaughtering and drink offerings, as commanded for every day – besides the Sabbaths of יהוה, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to יהוה. ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh new moon, when you gather in the fruit of the land, celebrate the festival of יהוה for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim for seven days. ‘And you shall celebrate it as a festival to יהוה for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Celebrate it in the seventh new moon. ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native born in Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ” Thus did Mosheh speak of the appointed times of יהוה to the children of Yisra’ĕl.
