Theory that Thunderclan realized pretty instantly, when Crookedstar announced the apprenticeship of Stonepaw and Mistypaw, that those were Bluefur’s kits. They knew and just didn’t say anything, but lost all faith in their deputy because she had sacrificed her own kits for ambition (or so they thought).
And as the clan deteriorated, was eaten up from the inside by the secrets and the treasons:
- Almost all of the characters from Bluestar’s Prophecy were dead by the time Into the Wild came (Thrushpelt, Thistleclaw, Poppydawn, Featherwhisker, etc) which either means bad teamwork (for those who died in battle) or star clan disfavor (cough epidemics)
- There were more elders, nursing queens and kits than warriors
- Most of the kits died before attaining six months, Snowkit was born deaf and got taken by a hawk...
- more frequent epidemics than before or after her
- Bluestar lost all her lives in the span of three years
- All her deputies died in the span of three moons (Redtail and Lionheart) or betrayed her (Tigerclaw and, arguably, Fireheart)
etc

58.Mistystar
Daughter of Bluestar and Oakheart
"I'll do it. I love my Clan, in spite of it all. I'll help you rebuild RiverClan. As deputy. I'll never be a ThunderClan cat, not truly. If we survive this battle, I'll come home."

Stonedapple still remembers when Mistypaw was just a kit, batting around in the medicine den and asking endless questions about everything. He chuckles with fondness and avoids the question as Mistyghost asks why her new name was chosen. Unbeknownst to her, the spirit of her mother hooks its chin over her shoulder and purrs.
