For March, I decided to create an illustration based on a Brazilian fairy tale, Why the ocean sighs. The story is about a princess who is born with a snake coiled around her neck. To escape an unwanted marriage, she pleads the snake to help her, who agrees, but asks in return that the princess must come by the ocean to call her name on the day she is to be married with her true love. This would release the snake from her enchantment. However, when the day arrives, the princess forgets her promise and the sighing of the sea is said to be the snake scolding the princess.
I really like this fairy tale because I enjoy stories with bittersweet endings, and I like the idea of two female protagonists navigating out of the tight spot together!

now that ash has time and space powers he should go multiverse hopping
i mean he’s a huge nerd and the multiverse says that every universe must exist somewhere, so personally i think after the years he’s had he deserves a nice vacation. i think he should start off with going to the doctor who universe and meeting the doctor, and then move on to comic book universes
he can drag parvati along and she can get increasingly more exasperated with each ridiculous place he drags her to

Representation
Tumblr media
Lebanon, 1983, by Jay Ullal ( Cairo Photo Week 2023)
This photo was mostly taken during the Lebanese civil war from 1975 to 1990, depicting a “Christian bride and Muslim groom walking through bombed Beirut, 1983” (Ullal, 2023). Jay Ulla captured the photo of a German Photographer whose pictures shed light on the humanitarian miseries and crisis in a variety of countries around the world, including India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Israel, the Philippines a myriad of other places ((Masih, 2023). This photo is an example of representation in photography. Representation is the act of using visual language to convey meaning and symbolism. It’s the number of decisions the photographer had to make to produce the photo, starting from making it a portrait or a landscape, colored or black and white, cropped, edited, or photoshopped in a certain way for a specific purpose. Representation in photography pictures the world and reflects it to the viewer as an imitation of reality by either giving a mimetic version or constructing a new reality that is not a copy of the physical reality (Sturken & Cartwright, 2003). In the photo shared above, it is evident that the photographer made a chain of decisions before taking the photo. It’s a mimetic version of the civil war in Lebanon and the destruction it created, in contrast to a bride in groom in their white wedding outfits walking between the shattered walls and the mess in the city. It’s not an ordinary scene, and the wedded don’t usually walk in the streets like that, let alone in areas that are not aesthetically pleasing and  witnessed a history of armed confrontation. This example resembles the representation in the  photo of Emmett Till, whose body deteriorated after a race crime, and the choice his family made to display his casket to mourners to convey meaning and tell about the reality of their tragedy (Sturken & Cartwright, 2003).

The Myth of Photographic Truth
Photo Story by Sahl Abdel Rahman (Egypt Press Photo 2023)
This photo was part of a project by Sahl Abel Rahman, where he featured kids from Harid village in Fayoum who work in the cotton field of the area. The caption and the rest of the photos of the project provide this information; however, the image alone has an entirely different meaning and interpretation that contradicts the truth behind it. It shows a kid taping on a white goat and hugging the animal while a big smile lightens his face. The photo looks like it was taken from a rural area where a kid is happy and cares for his domestic animal. The truth, however, is that the kid named Youssef bought the goat after saving for two months of working in the fields for 25 Le per day. Photography was always associated with objective seeing, as the camera takes photos of the object as it looks for evidence and illustration. The camera is not expected to lie or give a distorted and untrue image of reality, as it’s a reliable machine. However, technological advancement or even the ethical practice of the photographer is enough to lose trust in the camera  (Sturken & Cartwright, 2003). I will continue to argue that the myth of photography is not only a result of photoshop and unethical practices (such as those of Timothy O'Sullivan, who moved corps and arms on battlefields  (Sturken & Cartwright, 2003)), but also merges in the absence of captions that accompany the photo and provide accurate context about it. Perception can deceive; therefore, a connotative meaning that provides context is needed to avoid myth (Mistry, 2014). This results in the forming of countless myths and assumptions about a photo in the viewer’s mind, diverting them from the facts behind the photograph. If it were not for the caption, we would think the photo is about a happy kid in the countryside, while it is a victim of child labor, an alarming phenomenon in Egypt.

So I started making a couple stories. …. Aaaand now don’t know what to do with them.
one is Barty Crouch Jr lives, and he ends up being interrogated (tortured) by the Mistry, for about two years, then two of the kids figure it out and save him. He stays hidden in regs old room, buuut Sirius finds out at an ungodly hour in the morning. So now he’s being questioned by Sirius, Remus, Molly, and Author in Grimmauld’s kitchen. … only idk how to work that seneeeee helpppp
and then I started one for marvel where a character i made up as magic a lot like Wanda’s and is hunted by Hydra for it. Dr. Strange finds out and takes her to stay with the Avengers, she told him she didn’t want to go tho. So she makes everyone’s lives miserable. But I dropped her in front of them out of nowhere, she’s pissed, And I Don’t Know What To Do With It Now
..I might regret this but you guys have any thoughts?

IchiAki kids are here
have finally recieved their fully coloured in looks, they are finalised but there might be some changes to their designs in the future.
I fist made their designs all the way back last December I think, and I ended up drawing them with only my memory to reply on when it came to the details.
So here are Akiko and Akimatsu.
Tumblr media
I thought it woild be funny for them to contine the tradition as twins, much like their mothers parents, and their mother and her twin brother, they were given 'Aki' names. Akiko is pretty simple, the primary meaning being 'child of Aki/Autumn', however Akimatsu ended up inheriting trends from both his mother's and father's names, 'Autumn pine'.
Both of their designs contain purple and black, their parents signature colours.
I'm pretty satisfied with how they turned out, however some changes ges are still optional this may not be their final looks. But for now, they look nice, I feel like their designs get the message across.
To compare
Akiko
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The gist is pretty much the same, stripes, overalls, messy long hair. I gave her two perked ahoge to mimick her father's ones. She's perky and hardworking, and definitely has a positive outlook on life, she likes to take things slow and steady. She goes wity the flow and takes life in stride. She's the handyman, primarily working as a car mechanic but she's capable of also fixing electronics.
Akimatsu
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now his change is a big and more noticeable one, and deliberate. He went from being an socially awkward individual to tired and skeptical. He's the literate type, an aspiring writer with a huge interest in the macabre. Such as murder mistry novels and vulture culture. Oftentimes his interests keep him up at night so he doesn't end up getting much sleep. I based his design on Higschool Musical Ichimatsu's design from Hesokuri Wars. I defibetely wanted his hair to be fluffier and the ahoge I gave him are slouched over, hopefully achieving the effect of low energy. He is damn near the spitting image of his father, as much as he denies it.
So those are the IchiAki twins, ig go more in depth but I figured nit everyone is interested so I'll keep it brief.

CIU Kids Part 3 - Fiora and Shreya
After our twin ES MCs’ families, let’s move on to The Elementalists, with Fiora and Shreya’s family:
Fiora and Shreya Luxen
Once the chaos following the short-lived Prism War and its fallout had died down, and the world had gotten used to the idea of the existence of Attuneds (more or less), Shreya and Fiora both decided to finish out their remaining year at Penderghast. Upon graduation, the two of them decided to get a nice home in Pennelia, so they could be close to both Penderghast as well as Northbridge, where almost all of their new friends on the other side of the mirror could be found. About a year after their graduation, they were married in an incredibly elaborate, lavish ceremony put on by the entire Mistry family. Fiora somehow managed to strong-arm Atlas into being her maid of honor, and though she claimed to loathe every minute of the ceremony, Fiora was certain she spotted her twin sister enjoying herself out on the dance floor once or twice. Nehal, of course, was Shreya’s maid of honor. Things did get a bit awkward when Alyssa and Ian arrived, only to realize belatedly that their respective spouses, being Tuneless, became sapped of their energy the second they entered the Stoicheal Realm (to the point where they could barely stand!) Fiora hadn’t exactly thought that one through… so she and Shreya held a second, smaller reception at a banquet hall in Northbridge a few weeks later so that their Tuneless friends could attend.
Fiora: With Dr. Swan having finally decided to retire from teaching, and therefore, as leader of Penderghast’s Defenders of the Flame chapter, Fiora applied for the position of Chapter Head. Given her role in everything that had transpired in the Prism War, she was quickly granted the position, along with a job teaching Attuneless History, Society, and Culture (which, given she had lived most of her life Tuneless, she was a natural fit for). She often downplayed her role in bringing the two realms together during the Prism War, preferring to stay as down-to-earth as possible. This made for a stark contrast when compared with her wife…
Shreya: When her sister Nehal asked to be allowed to fully inherit Mistry Inc., Shreya agreed in a heartbeat. After graduating Penderghast, and finally free of her family’s expectation, she had the chance to decide for herself what she wanted out of life. Given her love for networking, throwing lavish events, and bringing people together, she found a much-needed job as the High Council’s liaison to Tuneless society. Eventually, she was granted an even more official title, with an entire organization to go with it: Chief Administrator of the Order of Stoicheal-Archikeal Relations. She took to the role swimmingly, and it wasn’t long before she and Fiora were living in a lavish mansion in the center of Pennelia that would put even her family’s sizable estate to shame.
Priyanka Alyssa Luxen: Having grown up without any family at all, Fiora had made no secret of her desire for a child. Shreya quickly agreed, and as soon as they were married they approached Zeph to ask him to be their donor. He was incredibly honored and agreed immediately; Aster (who at this point was a fully-trained Life-Att healer) helped them through the process. Fiora carried and gave birth to their daughter, who they fully expected would inherit her Sourceborn Light-Attunement… but maybe Awaken at a typical age, like 13-14 or so. It was quite the shock when Atlas casually mentioned to her sister that she herself had Awakened as a toddler, something which would prove to be the case with all Sourceborn children, including Priyanka herself! Had Atlas not been there to quench the flames, little Priya would likely have burned a good chunk of the house down!
As she grew up, Priya soon fell into a natural affinity for the arts, finding a unique niche in using her Attunement to sculpt beautiful, yet fleeting, works of light and flame. Her mothers enrolled her in an Attuned high school (a feeder school for Penderghast); by her junior year, at Fiora’s insistence, she and Shreya agreed to allow Priya to spend some time at a Tuneless school so that she might be exposed to the way things were on the other side of the mirror. But sending any Attuned, much less a Sourceborn to any ordinary Tuneless school would simply draw too much attention down on Priya, so the choice of school was obvious. The one school where several Sourceborn (or, as the Tuneless called them, “Prismics”) were already in attendance; where Priya’s attendance wouldn’t cause too much uproar. Oliver M. Berry High.

Enola Holmes 2 (2022) Netflix Movie Genuine Review, Rating & Movie explained.
(Full Article) The one more mystery movie Enola Homes 2 has arrived on Netflix and it bring back Millie Bobby brown and Henry Cavil but is the mystery any good. Now a detective for higher like her famous brother in Enola Holmes tack on her first official case to find a missing girl but sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite Misty that requires the help of friends and sherlock himself to unravel. Now the first Enola Holmes movie wasn't awesome. It was light hearted and fun for a casual Mistry and a different take on the Holmes mystery angle.
Tumblr media
Millie Bobby brown returns for the cleverly named sequel in Nola homes 2 and she is now trying to be a proper detective and so when she lands her first real kids, she gets embroiled in murder and conspiracy all while trying to balance a potential relationship. There is a lots of 4th wall breaking in this which is in line with how the first one was andola will after speak to us to catches us up on story elements or even give us the sides with a wing or a nod and sometimes there are fun other time is they become tiresome and overused. Their quite bit of show and then so re show when it comes to since where will see and aspect of a situation and then will flash back to show us a new angle with more understanding. See more..
