July: Blue Redux + Green Redux

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (s2e6, "Let's Face the Music and Dance") / Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel, Marin Hinkle as Rose Weissman, and Justin Lupe as Astrid Weissman

This scene has multiple blue and green dresses, all of which are distinctive! Midge's dress has an interesting vertical panel of embroidered decoration running through the dress and under the waistband. Rose's dress is knee-length, with a longer net "shell" over the skirt. Astrid's dress is pretty straightforward, but the print is pretty, and it marks the transition between blue and green.

And yes, we're back to the Catskills again.

January: Red Redux

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (s1 e2, "Ya Shivu v Bolshom Dome Na Kholme") / Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel

Mrs. Maisel wears several nice red dresses over the course of the series, but for the fandom, this is "the" red dress. Maybe even "the" dress, period. It's a classic 1950s shape with matching belt and petticoats to help it flare out, but the notch in the neckline makes it just a tad daring.

Midge accessorizes with some lighter red pumps and discreet gold jewelry: bracelet, earrings, and a gold-and-pearl pendant on a delicate chain (see below).

So I am back from my mumbleteenth show and it was SO GOOD this show is so amazing *sobs*

Lilya makes it all look so fucking effortless, and Côme's "Quand on arrive en ville" is like, an exorcism? You know what I mean? And we had seats a little ways up but dead center basically so we were eye level with Maag at the top of the steps during "Les adieux de Stella" and it was transcendant, and Miriam is constantly adding and changing things and how does such a petite woman have such a big voice, and Alex pierces your soul with his existential despair, and SOS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD AND SAD and fuck me I don't know what I'm going to do with my life once I'm not constantly either on my way to or from the show or counting sleeps before the next one.
