endermen seeing other endermen’s eyes- endocrine system releases serotonin thru pineal gland

enderman seeing other species eyes- endocrine system releases epinephrine and cortisol thru pineal gland - caused fight or flight response

prone to pneumonia when exposed to water or humidity, endermen from the end visiting the overworld are especially susceptible due to climate differences

tears are ender particles, they cry with floating glowing purple particles

ender pearl is an organ in cardiovascular system

connected to heart by an extra vein stemming from superior vena cava

ender pearl is responsible for hematopoiesis (blood production) instead of bone marrow

damaged enderpearl = severe anemia = no teleporting

teleportation is the result of blood cells passing thru semipermeable membrane to outside of skin (causing ender particles) then evaporating at light speed = quantum reaction and and teleporting

I’m thinking about Elytra, how it’s mended using Phantom membranes, how does that work?

It haunts the skies when you don’t sleep. People killing the dragon, raiding the end cities and then exhausting themselves to the point of demons coming to them. All so they can fly, repair their wings.

Using potions to keep themselves awake? Having to slay these screeching flying beasts while severely sleep deprived.

First two buildings in Somnium. Welcome to Codcrest! These buildings are incomplete (I plan to add more texturing and details, and finish the second interior), and the first of many. But I wanted to get on here and show what I've been working on.

Codcrest

This little atoll is Codcrest, named for its crescent shape, with a small island floating in the center.

Codcrest is a small fishing town, known for its exports of cod to nearby cities. The inhabitants are known to worship an unknown deity of the ocean. 8 underwater Ocean Monuments are erected in a quasi-circle in the waters surrounding Codcrest. These monuments were built to honor the deity, heavily protected by guardians and elder guardians, and it is believed the deity provides the people with abundance of fish and is the god of preservation. This is why the elder guardian inflicts mining fatigue, to protect against griefing. This shared belief system is what united Codcrest with Allay-by-the-Sea as sister communities.

if we look at the original timeline (aka annabeth and percy being born in 1993) then 2009 was a big year for annabeth bcus not only did the battle of manhattan take place and she finally started dating percy, but also minecraft came out and i think that would be a big deal to her

Idk if someone else has thought of this before, but hear me out on this new worldbuilding headcanon for Minecraft. Phantoms pose the same ecological role as IRL vultures. That being, they eat dead bodies. The reason a lot of them swarm (and even attack) the player when they haven't gotten sleep is because they sense lack of energy (which, for a lot of animals means death is nearby) and assume the player is either dead or dying.

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚ behold! my glowberry 'vineyard!' was watching barce's hardcore series and got so incredibly inspired by their attention to detail that i wanted to build something in my own world that i could experiment with.

ended up going with a vineyard i had built a while ago in a creative world. this was also my first ever time using podzol and coarse dirt in a build, so that was a lot of fun to experiment with, too. thinking of including those blocks in more of my future projects :)

also loving the cypress trees in the background. they're definitely not what i had imagined, but i don't hate looking at it either. makes the whole area more dense and more lush.

i added a song shrine into my forever world :)

back when it was releasing, songs of war was a big part of helping me get back into playing minecraft, and i wanted to immortalise that into a world that i love and have worked many hours on <3 the shrine is on top of one of the naturally generated floating islands that i have a lovely view of from my base, and i absolutely adore the overgrown feel to it. i initially had a beacon placed under the centre of the shrine, but i removed it for lack of range. when i get a second beacon though, i’ll definitely put one under the shrine just for visual purposes :)

As an exercise in creature design and in the interest on developing my dreaming-verse/general world building lore, i thought these guys would be fun to do!

THE STRIDER:

Peaceful lava walkers and grazers, they’re often breed and domesticated for both their use as transportation across the lava lakes and for various materials.

While not certainly an acquired taste to an overworlder, strider meat is not an uncommon food source. String and membranes from their opalescent sensory organs and hide are also valuable resources.

The membranes are heat management, courting displays, and gathering sensory input as they are near-blind.

Strider's eyes are largely vestigial, the sensory organs picking up on heat signatures exclusively.

They have spiracles for breathing along their sides and tails.

When wading through lava, their limbs are able to stretch out, this process requires the high temperature and results in the brighter, redder coloration of their skin as the heated fluids move under it. When not on lava, this fluid cools resulting in a duller coloration.

A subspecies of strider can be found in regions of the deep Neth that are blue in color.

They are long lived and migratory creatures, lichens and fungi often growing on their harder outer plates to spread across lava lakes. These are not an incident the striders, though magma barnacles, the stationary stage of a Nether-local insectoid species are considered pests.

Adolescent striders are a few meters tall, though they can grow considerably larger.

When being ridden, a lantern full of the phosphorescent warped mushrooms that Striders prefer. This lantern has the bonus effect of glowing when passing across sections of land. While Striders prefer to graze on fungi, they also spend significant amounts of time filtering minerals from the lava lakes.

Flags are displayed to help make visible where the rider and the strider are coming from and what the point of travel for the rider is.

THE GHAST:

Territorial and aggressive animals that use the updrafts of lava lakes to remain afloat in the the atriums of the Neath.

Ghats contain organs able to solidify and fire out explosive charges, when about to fire, the organ will light up, an illusion of a demonic face appearing through their spiracles and semi-transparent bodies.

They feed on minerals and airborne biological matter that filters out of the biomes in the upper-regions of the Neth with their oral arms.

The ghast tear is an organ in their center arm.

Adult ghasts release their own spores into the air to help with genetic exchange, otherwise growing young ghast on their bodies that eventually split off in a sort of mitosis.

the gelatinous bodies of ghasts are used primarily in construction and fuel, but parts of their innards, explosive organs not included, are commonly eaten.

i ADORE minecraft fanfics where building and player magic are just another part of the story. when a redstoner carefully piles the dust into lines and sighs with displeasure when something walks into it. when the builder spends hours carefully carving the perfect decoration in deep thought. when a character opts to home-bake cookies instead of crafting them, when they get a gift they can just feel is made entirely independent of player magic. its just magical
