The way that s4 constantly foreshadows and builds up a Jody/Mindy endgame…only for them to be taken out at the last minute 😭

When confronted with romantic relationships, the difference between millenials and gen z is the following:
Mindy: *having to choose between jody and dany* i choose ME.
Devi: *having to choose between paxton and ben* i'm gonna have TWO boyfriends.

i can feel the mindy/jody post-series fix-it fic that i’m going to write once i finish my tmp rewatch growing with every episode that passes like some strange plot bunny pregnancy. idek what it will be about but i know it’s there, waiting patiently for me to find it. i know it will have -2 readers but i can’t even care. this will be the healing work of my soul.

I spent two days binging the last 3 seasons of The Mindy Project. I stopped early s4 originally because Danny became such a tool. I experienced so much whiplash (from who the writers wanted to set her up with), but I will always love Dr Mindy Lahiri and her white bf of the week and all her amazing oneliners and wardrobe. The ending was a bit...ah well, I guess they had to bring Danny back, I just wasn't that into it after the way s4 ended (but their chemistry was still fire). I would have preferred a bit more set up to see if Danny changed (judging from the end, he probably didn't, but Mindy did!). Anyhow, I will miss Tamra and also Morgan's absurd ass, and Peter being the best bff ever. And I will 100% miss Dr Jody Kimball-Kinney who, surprisingly, turned into my second fave character. Don't @ me, I really wished they would have tried with him and Mindy before the dumb chlamydia storyline, but no they had to go and destroy his s4 character development in s5. Thankfully it was kinda found again in s6.
I want to tag this for my own Tumblr ...but I also don't want it to show up in tags because I don't want any anti Jody wank on my post ...soooo... not sure how to do this.

Okay I'm gonna be really annoyed if The Mindy Project said all that shit about Anna and Jeremy's weirdness matching and then has Mindy and Danny get back together.

Why do people keep acting like Mindy and Danny are the perfect couple, like otp of your life? As though Danny didn’t try to force her to quit her job and leave behind her dream so that she could be a house wife, and tried to impregnate her without her knowledge and consent. Or string her along knowing that he didn’t want to get married and for a long time was not even open to the idea, despite knowing that’s what she wanted. Like he isn’t some deep down “women shouldn’t have jobs, they only should take care of my kid” misogynist asshole. Like no. The more I watch this show the more I know Danny is 100% wrong for Mindy. Say whatever the hell you want about Jody but he has shown far more respect for Mindy and what she wants in his short time on the show than Danny has the entire series. But also Mindy x Ben forever.

Season four of The Mindy Project is truly one of my most beloved TV seasons of all the TV seasons (and it has 26 episodes, so it goes on almost forever!). Even the disappointment of seasons five and six can’t touch me right now!! Oh, to live always in this brief, sweet era where Jody was being slowly set up as Mindy’s unexpected soulmate! 😭🥰

what would be your dream casting for a cast ensemble with jlaw? female preferably since basically actresses said multiple times how rare it is to actually work with other women, and od course it is prettyapparent.. same thing for /or emma stone | alicia vikander | megan fox | emma watson. oh gosh I hope it makes some kind of sense this thing. basically who would you like to see them working with in a women lead project x
oh it makes sense don’t worry. i’m gonna make a list and start with jlaw!:
jennifer lawrence: definitely, definitely emma stone!! i’d also love her to work with nicole kidman, dakota johnson, rooney mara, meryl streep, mindy kaling, zoey deutch, and viola davis! I know that’s a lot but I think it would be really awesome to see all of them together. i’m so glad that jlaw has already worked with amy adams. american hustle was truly a blessing.
emma stone: jennifer lawrence ofc!! also saoirse ronan and emily bett rickards
alicia vikander: I just want her to make decent movies again omfg. but i’d love to see her with jodie comer. I know it’s random but I feel like it would be so interesting to see them together.
megan fox: dakota johnson. both of them are so honest and just true to themselves so I would love to see them work on something together.
emma watson: I would want to see her work with jlaw and emma stone. I know I didn’t list her for them because I listed a lot of people lol.
it is my hope for all of these women to continue to work with female screenwriters and directors as well.

Name ten favourite characters from ten different things (books, tv, film, etc.)
I was tagged by @amarielah! In no particular order:
1. MCU: It is really hard not to let Thorki share top billing but I think I have to put Loki a smidge over Thor, like to the same degree that Tom Hiddleston is taller than Chris Hemsworth. I still love Thor very, very much.
2. Star Wars: Obi-Wan with a side of Anakin.
3. Sailor Moon: Zoisite; middle school Jessica had it right.
4. X-Men: Professor Xavier, you are shocked.
5. What We Do in the Shadows: Colin Robinson, with a side of literally everyone else.
6. The Mindy Project: ... Jody Kimball-Kinney, don't @ me.
7. Queer as Folk: Justin Taylor
8. 30 Rock: Jack Donaghy, we share an MBTI type and mommy issues.
9. BoJack Horseman: Princess Carolyn
10. Mighty Max: Virgil. I know, I know.
Tagging: @thethorabides, @calamity-cain, @mareebird, @loxxxlay, @piscine-unrelated, @shadowwolf75, @militarypenguin, @thispreciousthing, @veyrius, and @thors-soft-cheeks!

WHAT THE LIVING FUCK IS GOING ON WITH THE MINDY PROJECT!!!!?????
Spoilers:
Like Mindy kisses Jamie (Which I really did like them together, I kinda miss them), Ben breaks up with her, Jody disappears. Ben and Mindy reconcile but there’s no further mention of Jamie? Even him trying to get in her... (Haha, get it?) Then they this new episode, Jody’s back, Ben’s all lovey dovey aside from the ball that dropped. Jody’s gone psycho and dating a Mindy Wanna-be.
I’m so fucking annoyed.
And the other thing, Where the living fuck is her kid? Like doesn’t this woman ever miss her kid? I go five minutes without my puppy and i’m dying, what about a baby???
