???: Anyways, I keep getting asked about, so I figured it's about time I showed myself!

Steven: DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO FUCK OFF?!

???: I mean, yeah. And I did bugger off. But then you wanted answers to stuff and I figured we could help each other. You let me hang out on your systems and I give you important info on stuff that I know. Hell, I could get ya out of a tight spot if your systems shut down on ya because... I dunno... Too much heat? Come on. It's boring on the company computer. At least here I can watch the two walking crayons over there fuck around and find out.

???: Anyways, for starters since you're letting me use your phantom ability: I know where William's actually from and how he got here. Buuuuut I don't know how the loops are actually happening. But they aren't being cause by him or me, so-

Steven: You talk. So much.

???: So does Dave and William if they're focused on a certain subject, and since I'm currently mimicking mainly just William right now it's no surprise that I would talk a lot.

Steven: Are you telling me there's a third Dave now? And that he's in my head?

I return from the dead with MORE ICE EMPEROR! HOW SUPRISING!!!✨❄️

Thought I’d finally share my head cannons for this creature and for how the staff of forbidden spinjitsu works so HERE WE GO-

❄️ when each ninja holds the staff, their elements burst to life all around them, most notably through their hair. Lloyd and Kai’s looks same as the show, though Kai’s hair is smoldering a bit more and smoky, and Lloyd’s is flickered with gold. Everyone else is different! Nya’s hair swirls with clouds and mist like a brewing storm, jay’s hair stands on end as the lightning makes the lights flicker, and Zane’s hair floats and glitters like the northern lights, leaving lil flurries behind him as he walks! This effect looks even cooler when he grows his hair out as the ice emperor.

✨when Zane crash lands into the neverrealm, the fall leaves a serious wound on his right temple. This badly damages his right eye, making his vision unpredictable and his eye noticeably glitching out.

❄️ Zane was built to be as convincingly human as possible- because of this he mimics different symptoms to communicate what kind of damage he has. For example, when he has malware or a virus, Zane will run a fever, cough or sneeze. He shivers on the rare occasion his powers become too overwhelming and, in the case of the fore mentioned head trauma, Zane will show concussion symptoms- such as his pupils being “blown” (two different sizes). Also yes his hair does grow. He doesn't know how to take care of it as the emperor so it grows tangled and matted but it grows nonetheless

✨the effects of the scroll are a slow burn! Sure the effects are noticed almost immediately, but the damage it does is slow and not easily reversed: therefore contributing to my “Zane does not turn back into “Zane” after he drops the staff” bit! The effects linger- Zane’s hair flickering with power when he’s upset, his powers responding in a similar way to season one- where he’d freeze the training grounds over. He leaves frozen footsteps wherever he goes, freezes over on occasion(mostly along his face when he cries) and if you were to tousle his hair it’d start snowing indoors. ❄️ I love the “Zane committed active genocide alongside vex and is horribly traumatized by it” trope I see in fics a lot, but I also found myself wanting to work with the concussed, sleepy boi we got in the show! So Im developing an AU that meets sort of a middle ground: with Zane participating in the first decade or two of war, but slowly becoming sicker and more manic and paranoid the further into his rule he goes. When he is not asleep, the emperor is pacing the castle in unrest, the walls creaking as he spirals in the warped memory of the lies vex had told him and the realm continues to freeze solid.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying stuff like

"it makes me sad that he's mean :(" "I'm scared that my au is not accurate anymore" or "I got my interpretation of him wrong"

And I think you should put this new information about the DCA at a side for a moment, go talk to friends and info dump about your original AUs and ideas, brighten up a little bit that spark that makes you create your art and just have fun talking about it. Because the fact that he's sassy in one game doesn't mean that that's the only trait to his personality now.

He can be mean, he can be anxious, short tempered, good intended, caring, dramatic, a little bitch, a cinnamon roll... He can be all the things you can come up with, in this fandom he's always been all of the above and more in different ways, in different stories. And you can still write him the way you want, people can still interpret him the way they want, don't let canon or other people or your own thoughts stop you from creating your AUs.

Instead use it to get inspired, get new ideas and create new stories. They turned the tables, you can turn them back up. He can be mean because of the virus but get softer to you with time, you can make a story about self-confidence and worth, he can hate and love his job simultaneously for different reasons.

The AUs where he's soft and caring are still going to be there, the fics where he's good with kids and patient are still going to get written. Keep writing those fics, don't stop just because canon says otherwise. I stopped writing my steampunk AU when the mimic was revealed to be burntrap and not Afton because "it wasn't canon anymore so my AU is not accurate anymore" and I'm still with that thorn stuck in the back of my head for not continuing writing even if it wasn't canon accurate anymore. Because I actually got excited about writing that AU but for the way my brain see things "if it wasn't canon accurate it wasn't worth it" and let me tell you that's a shit of mentality.

So please

Please please please please

Don't give up on your stories and creativity like that.

The immense variety of characterizations and AUs is one of the pillars of this community and one of the coolest things. The fact that you can come up with any concept for these two dorks and make it an investing story and you have a whole catalog to choose from what you're going to see next. Don't let that stop.

I love this community even if I don't understand it sometimes and I barely interact, I love seeing people having fun making their AUs, going nuts making fanarts and gifting art to each other just because it makes them happy.

Don't let this limit you.

Now I don't care how you share this, if rebloging, or reposting it, or rewriting the whole thing but shorter in your own post but just share this feeling with the community. It would be so sad if all the things that makes this place special crumbled because people aren't confident anymore in how they write the DCA because of a game that came out yesterday.

I got a question about the Virus AU

After being infected, can Disassembly/Solver Drones still speak despite their feral thoughts? Or is it ALL feral?

It's mostly all feral.

No thoughts, heads empty.

When they're infected with the Virus, they can't talk. They still understand some words if someone if talking to them, but they can't answer, at least not coherently.

It's all barks, meows, growls, hisses, squeaks and whatever other noises they make.

They can sometimes repeat words, but it isn't very clear. N does this a lot when Uzi talks to him.

J is the most vocal out of all of them. She can mimic voices to repeat words or phrases, but that's all it really is, just a repeated audio playback.

When she's not mimicking someone's voice, she communicates with tweets, chirps and whistles, like a songbird.

So... basically the Mimic/Glitchtrap virus is more dangerous and affects all machines, only Freddy and Sun are not infected

Subliminal is what I'm calling this au! I'm building it a bit more, I want it to be modern fantasy, a world where the mimic took control over most of the world with the glitchtrap virus. Sun and Moon build their own bodies, having the main cast inhabit the old body with Ruined Eclipse watching over them. DJMM would be modified into something super cool, but I want to draw it before introducing the concept.

Y'know I never thought of how Changelings would he affected by this.

Especially if Queen Chrysalis has been attached to you for a long time already.

For this I think it would be neat if Changelings are immune but are able to feed off of the virus in a way.

When it comes to Queen Chrysalis she is her typical yandere behavior, she is manipulating you as her lover to feed off the love you give.

However her feeding grounds have become hostile.

With all these lovesick virus ponies running after you it disturbs Queen Chrysalis.

Jealousy burns within her when she sees other ponies flocking towards you.

She can sense the obsessive love coming from them and... it just seems a little too sweet for her liking.

It all seems too... artificial for her taste.

The love her darling gives off is much more appetizing to her.

As a result, still playing the role of your lover in her disguise, she promises to protect you.

She's a survivor that's immune just like you.

She'll do anything to protect you.

Queen Chrysalis needs no virus to become yandere over you.

She already is naturally.

Queen Chrysalis does her best to protect you to keep your love for herself.

Those ponies could tear you apart out there.

She even has some of her Changelings mimic you to keep ponies away.

She keeps all of that out of sight, taking you away to keep you from anypony that could hurt you.

After all... her care is genuine, isn't it?

She isn't infected....

While she has her Changelings eliminate any threats or rivals... she kisses and feeds off of you.

She never shows her true self, just a disguise.

If you think about it... Changelings may be the road to a cure.

After all they drain all the love from ponies....

Maybe in a way that can fix things.

If not... well... at least her children have an infinite food source.

Even now Queen Chrysalis will manipulate you for your love.

After all, isn't she the only one who can protect you?

After the first game (with is were the whole ruin 5,000 dimension thing happened and he was forced to be the mastermind by his creator and he ended up going against him in the end and helping defeat him.) Rusty is send a somewhat cure by the future foundation. It doesn't get rid of the virus but it makes it so he can't be taken control by it unless with an intervention of some kind. It's still in his systems it's just not taking over him right now. So naturally after finally somewhat being free from a virus that made you kill innocent people naturally will lead rusted with a lot of guilt and feel as though he needs to make up for what he has done. He has so many questions one of with is were is ruin he then goes dimension hoping to eventually hopefully find were he is after many months of searching in his dimension and finding no luck. He eventually gets kidnapped by the mastermind of the new killing game mimic and like the rest of the participants have no choice to partake in the killing game. And while upset he is at least somewhat hopeful he can use this chance to be better to make up for what he did. However the future foundation have been getting closer and closer to putting a full stop to the killing games as since mono fallen is the last mono left if they kill them and the mastermind that it they won. And they have even managed to make special designed tech and cameras that have no affect on mono fallen magic. And this something mono fallen doesn't want there main goal and what they were programmed to do is to make the killing games as entertaining as possible and to make as much as they can but then they get an idea yes they can break and destroy the cameras and tech the future foundation made but that doesn't mean they can't make someone else can. And that is were rusted comes in. As he not only has more then enough strength to destroy said tech and cameras but he also has a virus that makes him act incredibly violent on a dime and mono fallen can more then use that and control that to they advance. So they make rusted work for them with the deal is they will bring back ruin for him as he was killed and mono fallen is the only way he could be brought back. He also makes it so that if he explains to anyone what he is trying to do it just glitches out, No matter how he would try to explain it if he wanted to he would get no results. So for the rest of the killing game he plays a supportive role to ballora who is the protagonist and eaps monty. President finds out about him working with mono fallen and when She finds out that he is working with mono fallen she says that if she joins her she won't tell anyone but he refuses she reveals to everyone that he is working with mono fallen with shatters the friendship he had with ballora and eaps monty. And since mono fallen made that he is unable to explain himself in any way he can't tell anyone the context as to why he did it and it just makes him feel even more worse about himself as his friendship with ballora and eaps monty while he was still helping mono fallen with getting rid of all the tech and cameras the future foundation made he still was at least somewhat making up for what he did by helping out 2 people in a dangerous situation like this and being a emotional support and protection in such a dark situation. While they eventually forgive him it still will be not enough to make up with what he did as that is not even the start of all the bad stuff he has ever done.When the mimic is about to be executed rusted tackles into the execution with him to make sure stays dead and never hurts anyone like this again and again in way to make up for all the horrible stuff he did both in the killing game and when he was infected with the virus. Once he does kill the mimic with the last of there strength to press a button that has a large metal pole in pale rusted and the last thing he sees before he dies is ruin

Alvis most open with Miles "Tails" Prower. Being when was he was 5 they did meet and found out he was a HUGE and still is a Tails fan. But Tails has mentioned how he was in Eggmans position in the first place was he was sold. But is keeping a lot secrete. What els dose Alvis know. What els, he has the memories of the 4 who's DNA was used to change Als DNA and give powers?

Edit: That last thing. Yes. Said he had identity problem and even others saying for example "Sonic" Alvis would react like you said his name, and was mentioned he hallucinates seeing one of the 4 or all 4 at the same time. Can feel how it Felt being super in space, How the space ark food tasted, How lonely it is on angel island and how it feels to bullied to then find someone who accepts you and treats u like a brother

Edit 2: Since the last update about Alvis this have been brought to light about his past... that it never happened. He was Made by Eggman and the childhood he thought he had was all a simulation to grow him into a obedient. His mother was the Simulation. Alvis has taken it a bit hard and his hallucinations have started to show up again but now he sees himself but as other Species. so the ones we learnt he's related to due to the doctors experiments. Before you attack me in the comments just hear me out.  I just reread both the Silver Eyes trilogy and GGY and I couldn’t help but think of the possible parallels between the main four of SET and the main three plus Cassie from GGY/Fnaf sb. If you include Gregbot, and Beckory as canon you start to make connections between the two stories as well as the characters.

Charlie=Gregory John=Tony Jessica=Cassie Carlton=Ellis

Imagine, if you will.

Gregory would be the stand in for Charlie. After the bite of 83, Willam Afton becomes consumed by grief just like Henry was and swears to “put him back together.” And therefore builds Gregory as a replacement. But soon afterwards Afton tricks him and locks Gregory away so he could live his new life as Dave Miller, only to be killed by the missing children.

Years go by and the Pizzaplex just opened. Gregory was discovered by Glitchtrap/The Mimic, and manipulates him into thinking he’s his dad (Willam Afton) to get him under the control of the GlitchTrap virus.

Then the canon events of GGY happen. The only difference is that afterwards Gregory realizes that Afton was a bitch and didn’t love him or CC and that GlichTrap had been lying to him about who he was. He escapes the Pizzaplex with Tony, but then returns in hopes of destroying Glichtrap.

Then the canon events of Fnaf SB and Ruin happen with the three star ending and elevator ending being canon. Gregory moves in with Vanessa, Freddy, and Cassie because her dad went  “missing”.

Years pass and the main four are in high school now. Tony and Greg start dating just like John and Charlie did. The four stupidly visit the now old Pizzaplex, only to be met with terrifying monsters from the TOTPP series.

After their version of The Silver Eyes and The Twisted Ones happens the main four plus Vanessa and Freddy return to the old Pizzaria once again to discover that the GlitchTrap is still present within the Plex. But more surprising, that Rab is alive. After being freed Rab escaped into the Plex’s database to escape deletion. And then worked to build a new body so he can once again serve GlichTrap who he still believes to be his dad (Willam Afton).

The fourth closet happens nearly exactly how it canonical happens but with the Fnaf SB/GGY cast. Rab completes his new body, and sets out to find the ones who nearly destroyed him, Gregory and Tony. Rab would be the replacement for Evil Charlie/Elizabeth Charlie btw.

When Gregory and Rab face off it’s at the old pizzeria in the bottom of the Plex. Gregory leads Rab to the knock-off scooping room from Ruin to get rid of him. This ends up in Gregory also being injured and getting Fredbear (their version of Charlie’s Ella doll) scooped out of him. But unlike Charlie he ends up surviving because of plot armor.

As for your other question, unfortunately, there is no fic 😔 their au was posted in a series of tweets and art comics that have since been deleted once they left the fandom. I explain more in my previous ask here, but since there is no fic/documentation I might as well give a run down of what the story was (fair warning that my memory might be slightly dated or inaccurate due to the changing nature of the story—anyone feel free to throw in what they remember)

The setting takes place in modern times where all of Dream Team and their friends are still content creators. The cortex outbreak hits after the face reveal and George has moved to Florida. Dream and George end up stranded together while Sapnap is stuck in North Carolina on a trip to visit Karl.

In all the chaos of the apocalypse, George and Karl become infected. George becomes a variant 4, the Flower (known for the tendrils in their mouth that they use to spread the infection and its ability to use personal attachment to manipulate potential victims). Karl becomes a variant 7, the mimic (known for the way the virus adapts to its hosts and learns how to act “human”. They can also talk to draw in prey)

Both zombies “attach” to their victims (Dream & Sapnap) as the cortex inside them deems keeping them alive better for their survival. Mushie’s AU follows mostly dnf as George’s cortex adapts to George’s brain, allowing it to use George’s memories and occasionally his voice (tho minimally). Dream believes George is still alive somehow and takes care of him—feeding him people, and keeping him safe from said people. Every once in a while, George will try to speak or hum some of Dream’s songs. Eventually, Dream slowly becomes infected himself. It’s not instant, as the cortex within him adapts differently into a new variation that leaves him more aware but still craving zombie tendencies.

As Dream grows worse, he attempts to find a cure, traveling to reach labs across the country. Eventually, he finds a place that was able to make a single antidote. There’s no certainty it will work but he gives it to George. Eventually, miraculously, it works. During the zombification, George was still conscious but his mind and body were controlled by the cortex inside his brain. Once the cortex died, it released control of his body. He doesn’t recover immediately after being not in control of his body for such a long time, but enough that he knows that the lab needs to make another cure for Dream or risk reversing their positions.

That is where my memory ends. There are plenty of one off scenarios that they drew, some of which they probably didn’t canonize but this is how the story goes in my brain.

I hope this helps fill some of yalls curiosity. My version is different from this as I’m sure you figured, but I drew heavily from theirs.

Dead bodies were strewn around them, a cluster of rotten limbs and oozing stab wounds. The closest call they’ve encountered so far was over, ended with panting breaths and the faraway cry of vultures approaching for their next meal at the edge of the mess. The smell of meat and gore hang in the air, thick and putrid and so similar to when it had been thrust upon her long ago, during a different battle, against different enemies. This time, though, the carnage was hers: she saved herself, she felt strong, vindicated, and although their own bodies should certainly be assessed, she was triumphant, and she wanted Lucien unabashedly, something she had never allowed until now.

Through the ash cloud he made, she turned to face her partner in combat, her body moving on instinct, just as it had in the moments before, while she ducked, stabbed, and protected like he taught her to. With nothing else to kill, only their hard-won survival remained, so she crushed her mouth against his, the shameful dreams that have haunted her few unconscious hours hurtled into reality.

In the privacy of her own mind, she had thought he might taste bad in some way, but he didn’t, no more than she must, after so long spent in the dry air without reliable water, and yet, it didn’t bother her. Nothing could at the moment: not the injuries surely littering her body, not the setting sun, the overuse of her limbs or the hunger in her belly, worse than what she experienced when she still travelled with her sisters. It all faded, leaving nothing but the feeling of no more space between them. Connection, the likes of which she had nearly given up on finding.

Sinking deeper into the moment she had stolen, she felt him pull in a breath against her cheek through his nose, and she pressed harder, her body singing in relief until his hand gripped her shoulders, pushing. Their lips barely separated, yet her mind flooded with terror. Fuelled by something perverse, she’d done the unspeakable, the unfathomable, the undoable, and as she chanced a glance upward, at the molten red frame of a face disfigured by violence, a thought occurred to her, hilarious and terrifying: all that fighting, and now he was going to kill her for kissing him, for upsetting the tenuous balance they’d taken days to carefully craft. He could fit her throat in one of these beautiful hands, throttle the life from it as she blinked with her deer-big eyes, like many described them when she still knew more people than Lucien and the survivors with whom they occasionally communicated through his radio. She would’ve let him do it. She wasn't even sure why she was so stubbornly clinging to life since the virus had exterminated almost everyone she loved. It would’ve been the most poetic way to go: killed by the one she had refused to love when the time was right because she changed her mind when it was too little too late. She would’ve died in the evening’s cool, but the last thing she would see would be her own personal sunlight, colours fading from her vision because of him. Would he regret it? Would he slowly carry her lifeless body in a nice place, if any still existed, for eternal rest?

“We survived!” she barked out, half exhilarated, half embarrassed, unable to read the expression in the one eye he had left, incapable of interpreting the angle of his swollen red lips, still slick and shiny with spit, or what his features expressed under the remnants of their battle. There was no way she could face him, face the consequences of her own unjustifiable actions, with their breaths still intermingling with the unsaid.

“We did it,” he whispered, quiet but fierce. “Together.”

She tilted her head, a mimic of the fascination he showed weeks ago in the remains of a different state, of a place they could’ve called home, if such a concept still existed, until a sudden jolt ripped through her, shocking and disorienting. If she had thought her kiss had been forceful, his was a dam broken, a consuming ravage ferociously invading her mouth, so passionate and unhinged she thought he might actually eat her, like he did with her gasps and the unending questions he silenced.

When he licked past the barrier of anything chaste, all she could think about was how unlike any other kiss it felt, as if he hoped to find everything he’d ever needed at the back of her teeth, on the roof of her mouth and in the fleshy centre of her bottom lip. He was kissing her like he was trying to prove she shouldn’t want it, like he wanted to make her regret it, taking selfishly, gripping her waist too tightly, but she wouldn’t, not after he risked everything to save her in New York, not after, despite the anger and the misunderstandings, he did so much to keep her alive regardless of the fact she never acknowledged his feelings.

A dull thud echoed in the silence as she dropped her knife, and as prompted by the sound, his hands started to roam, search and squeeze, a savage exploration she was ill-prepared for. It hit her, how little thought she had put into her actions, when she started to feel too incredibly, acutely alive, and ready to lay on the ground under him.

That wasn’t the place nor the time, though, so she followed him on the way to the coast, silent and willing, their fingers brushing against each other too often for it to be accidental.
