Art was so polite. When you first met through your polisci study group friends, he was the perfect gentleman. When you all would go out together, he’d hold the door for you, always pull out your chair when you came back to the table with drinks. You figured he was like that with every girl, your typical midwestern sweetheart.

You couldn’t have caught how his eyes lingered on you when you’d walk past him through the door, or how they drifted downward while you chatted and passed out drinks. No one could. No one suspected it of him. He was too slick about it.

So when the rest of the group wasn’t available and he asked you to help him study for an upcoming test, you thought nothing of it. His roommate would be right next door anyway.

And it really was nice. It was enough to make learning about congressional oversight over the bureaucracy less excruciating. You two laughed a lot (he did at all of your jokes) and he’d smile so sweetly at you that it sort of gave you butterflies. Of course you wouldn’t object when he started only asking for you to study with. You figured it was because you were good at the subject anyway. It’s not like you weren’t getting something out of it too. You had to admit that you liked how he acted like your puppy. He’d do anything you asked, get you whatever snacks you wanted, ever the knight in shining armor. He really was a cutie, especially when got that embarrassed blush on his face hearing his roommate outside the door with the girls he brought back, or the constant EDM blasting from his room.

Midterms were coming up, and you were stressed. You were a high achiever, but studying for 5 classes was a lot to juggle. So of course you took up Art’s offer of a study/chill sesh at his dorm. You knocked, and he opened, wearing his red cap backward, another thing you thought was cute on him. You looked a little past him, noticing the silence. His roommate wasn’t there. Your eyes fell back on him and you noticed that this time he looked more… pensive. He looked tired, his lips looked bitten on. You chalked it up to the time of year. You probably looked out of sorts too. As he held the door and you brushed past him, though, you could feel his eyes on you, stalking you like prey.

You were sat on his bed, and the lack of technobeats in the background made the air feel heavy. Things were more quiet this time as you two once again went through the motions of flipping through flashcards detailing factors affecting political efficacy. It almost felt tense. You weren’t so sure his roommate’s absence was entirely at fault. At some point you put them down and sighed, slumping against the wall.

“I can’t do this anymore. I just wish midterms were over. I feel like I haven’t relaxed in weeks.”

He was still upright, looking at you keenly.

“Yeah. Me neither.”

He put his cards down without taking his eyes off of you.

“I need a distraction. Just for a little. I just wanna stop thinking.”

He huffed in agreement, then paused. Now he looked down. Started biting his lips again. He swallowed.

“I could…help you with that.”

Maybe you were reading too far into the tension in the room, but your mind quickly darted to something…uncivil. Your stomach jumped before you regained your composure. …He was cute. It’s not like in your horny hellscape of a university you hadn’t thought about it before. You had no time for a relationship that could relieve your frustrations, something your major was known for, and which you and your single friends complained about often. It was starting to take a toll. Still, you took the thought out of your head. You just had a dirty mind. That’s not what he meant. He was gonna pull playing cards out of his pocket or something. You laughed a little, lightly, cautiously.

“What do you mean?”

He looked back up, eyes shining, piercing. His face grave, like when you’d came in. It made you feel almost too seen…almost naked. Almost like your minds had gone to the same place.

His eyes went down again, landing on his fingertips, which you hadn’t noticed had reached the edge of your thigh. In fact, you couldn’t focus on much outside of your heart beating in your ears.

“I just…I’ve been really stressed too. Really busy. I mean, the way we all are. Too busy to…you know…” He trailed off a little, his eyes crinkling in an embarrassed huff, softening his features. “And…you know what a good stress reliever is?”

He was hesitant, but the question was rhetorical. The way he said it was enough to give the answer. Your peers talked about their sexual frustrations enough that you knew it was on their minds too.

It was so still that you feared he could hear your heart beating out of your chest. You both being on the same page had caught you off guard.

Your silence caused him to backtrack, trying to read your face. “I mean, we always talk about not having time for dating and wanting hookups and stuff… I just figured since we know each other we could…I don’t know…lend each other a hand.”

You could feel your face getting hot, giddiness rising inside you. Seeing the small smile on your face, and how you watched his fingertips on their trail up your thigh, he seemed to relax.

You felt cheeky. He was into you. “So you wanna help me out?”

“…please?” His eyes turned pleading. “No one’s here.” He said softly, suggestively.

Your face turned even hotter. He was right. You were alone. No one would hear him putting you through the mattress like you’d tried not to imagine before. God, you were getting ahead of yourself. You nodded. He pulled away from you, and the vacant space he left on your thigh felt cold. You weren’t sure what he was doing until he got off the bed, kneeling, and settled between your legs.

He gazed up at you, looking more puppy-like than ever, his wide, desirous eyes a question — a desperate plea.

One of the things he adores about you is your leniency with everything. Your ability to forgive and be tolerant of certain things is really nice to him, since no one’s perfect and even Mike makes mistakes sometimes. Mike always assumed the worst whenever he messes up something small and thinks you’ll hold it against him, which is so far from the truth. He has to constantly remind himself that you’re not there to belittle him for everything, and it’s okay to tell you things.

B — Body . . . What Is Their Favorite Part Of Your Body?

His favorite part is your smile. You’re a silly person naturally, so a grin is always spread onto your face. He makes you laugh a lot, and you do the same for him. He’s definitely attracted to your happiness. Don’t even be insecure if you’re teeth may be crooked, if your lips look a certain way, ect. he does not care!! Smile all the time!

C — Cuddling . . . How Do They Like To Cuddle?

He prefers to cuddle with you sat up and seated, cause whenever you two do cuddle laying down, he falls asleep. He can’t help it! You’re comforting to be around.

He’s also not too particular with dates, but he does prefer calm ones. Although he doesn’t mind those crazier dates like rock climbing, clubbing, ski-ing ect. he likes ones where he doesn’t have to do much as well. Mike loves having fun, but he’s a homebody too. His ideal dates are picnics at the park, beach, or having a quiet dinner in a cozy restaurant. He’s a honest partner, but he’s not always comfortable with being verbally vulnerable. He doesn’t want to burden you with his issues or thoughts initially, so a lot of the times of when he’s upset, you have to look for any physical cues on him. Similar reasoning from letter A.

He does, but he isn’t sure when is the right time. With his career and constantly being on the move, he doesn’t know how he’ll want to balance work life and family life. He doesn’t work a office job where he can go in during the day and come back in the evening, he’s an actor! Actors schedules constantly shift and he may be expected to travel. You knew what you were signing up for when you got together with him, so he really wants to leave the decision of a family to you.

He has a great relationship with kids. Because of his energy and kind smile, kids naturally are drawn to him and want to play/hang out with him. He’s polite and super fun, and he’s also good at a lot of things. He’d be a great father, but he underestimates himself.

G — Gifts . . . How Do They Feel About Gift Giving? What Are Their Habits When It Comes To This?

He doesn’t mind giving gifts but it’s not his main love language. He’s the type of person where he likes to save gifts for special occasions so they can feel extra special. Occasionally, he might gift you something small and silly to make you laugh but the meaningful gifts are for certain occasions. He also entirely chooses your gifts for your benefit and wants, not his.

H — Holding Hands . . . When/How Do They Like To Hold Hands?

Mike is not a huge fan of PDA, but he’s not completely against it either. This doesn’t mean he’s not physically affectionate with you at all, cause that’s false!! He’s just not the type of guy to make out with you in public or grab your butt in front of friends… (I find those things corny.) Subtle affection like hand holding is great with him! He doesn’t mind holding your hand as you guys walk, sit down, or talk. He’s a private person, but he’s not gonna keep your relationship a secret.

He likes to interlock fingers! It’s comforting to him and if your walking through somewhere crowded, you won’t feel like you’re slipping away. He doesn’t like those hand holds where it’s him holding your hand and you’re not, or you’re holding is hand and he’s not, he likes to keep it mutual. One parter just holding onto the other feels territorial.

I — Injury . . . How Would They Act If You Got Hurt?

If you slip on the floor and fall, he’s gonna rush over and check on you with a smile cracked on his lips. He’s not doing it to make you embarrassed, he just finds it cute, in a way! If it’s funny, he’ll try to hold it in and make sure you’re recomposed. He doesn’t like to see you hurt at all.

Now, he’s not a monster! If you seriously get injured, he’s gonna be devastated! He’s a responsible person and when put in a panicked situation, he knows how to calm you and/or the area down. Not saying he won’t be stressed or alarmed, but he’s gonna take you to the hospital or doctor to make sure you’re alright.

J — Jokes . . . Do They Like To Joke Around With Or Prank You? How?

He definitely does, no question about it. You two joke around and share many laughs with each other. He doesn’t necessarily prank you crazily, but he does in a small way.

If you’re new here, Mike is a actor. A incredible one, and with being a actor it’s easy for him to tell little lies. Sometimes when he says things, you’re prone to believe it based off his face and tone. For example, he’d do those pranks where it’s “My gosh, [insert a celebrity you like] has just died!” and you’d definitely become hysterical trying to find out if it’s true, the whole time he’s sitting there smiling internally as you’re freaking out. He doesn’t keep it up forever though and always comes clean, you’d complain but you’re not actually hurt. If anything, you reciprocate and pull mini pranks like that on him all the time. Yet, he’s skeptic whenever you try since you’re not as good at pranking him then he is with you.

K — Kisses . . . How Do The Like To Kiss You?

Now, a controversial opinion… He just loves those short kisses! Those kisses where he leans down to kiss you on the lips deeply but fast are his favorite. He likes to see your facial expression afterwards, nine times out of ten you’re grinning from ear to ear. He doesn’t mean pecks where it’s so quick the other partner can’t catch it, but the short regular ones. Despite this, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love those long kisses either.

L — Love . . . How Do They Show They Love You?

Quality time is his favorite way! It sucks because sometimes he has to be away from you for periods of time because of his job, but it’s his favorite way of showing how he loves you. Mike can be anti-social sometimes and does cherish his away time, but quality time together is his love language cause it means he’s sharing his space and extra time for you. When you two are together, it doesn’t feel like a chore or obligation to be around each other. He genuinely enjoys your company, he wouldn’t be with you if he didn’t.

M — Memory . . . Favorite Memory Together?

Meeting your family was one of his favorite memories. You come from a big family and they were all so excited to meet him. Some of them couldn’t believe he was this star who could sing and dance as he was so bashful around everyone! He was super polite and warm to everyone. Your parents are obsessed with him and whenever you try to come around, the first thing they ask is “Where’s Mike? How’s Mike doing?”

When he was first invited to a family get together, he was set on making a good impression, and he sure did! He met and greeted everyone, he played with the kids for a little bit, he help set the table when your mother asked, he even sat down with your dad, uncles, and some other guy relatives and they had a drink and chatted. He came to have a genuine good time with them all, and was glad to hear that they like him so much, cause he was planning on being with you for the long run.

N — Nightmare . . . What Is Their Worst Fear?

Disappointing or not living up to certain expectations. Mike can be very tough on himself and underestimates his abilities. If you listen to any peer, actor, or even directors he has worked with, they all have such uplifting things to say about him. How Mike always goes above and beyond in whatever he does. He doesn’t just do this to please others, but he does it to please himself.

Before his career, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for him, so working hard is always the mindset that he lives in. It’s a sense of security for him.

O — Oddity . . . What Is One Quirk They Have?

Most of the time, you can read what he’s thinking or feeling through his eyes. It’s not odd, it’s pretty regular but it’s much more intriguing from him. Mike has heterochromia which means his eyes are two different colors! It’s not something you see often but it’s not uncommon. Not only are they different but he’s naturally handsome as well and as luscious eyelashes to go with his eyes. You’ve learned that whenever he’s listening to something, he might not do the talking but his eyes will.

For example, if you say something totally unexpected, his eyes might widened and he’s gonna blink repeatedly. If you say something funny, he’s gonna chuckle and his eyes will squint. He doesn’t always realize you look in his eyes to read him.

P — Pet Names . . . What Do They Like To Call You?

He likes to keep it simple, he doesn’t do those extra cheesy pet names like “sweetie pie” and “boo boo bear” he can’t stand those!! A good go-to nickname for you is a short “Babe”. If you’re not really into pet names but you do have a nickname that’s known from close friends or loved ones, he can call you that too!

Q — Quality Time . . . How Do They Like To Spend Time With You?

He likes to spend it privately and not too much outside distractions. He wants all his focus on you to let you know that he’s listening and paying attention to you.

I really don’t have any reasoning for it, but this is my selection! Because Mike was into the older movies with Gene Kelly and more, I’d think he’d appreciate that older genre of music too. This is a slow yet lovely song.

S — Secrets . . . How Open Are They With You?

Like stated before, he’s honest with you but it may take some coaxing for him to speak up. He’s good at acting and ignoring something, but after so long he can’t always keep it up, so you’re always bound to find out. As time goes on, he gets better at being more open.

T — Time . . . How Long Does It Take You To Get Together?

Surprisingly, he’s persistent. As much as he’s an over-thinker, he’s not gonna make any decisions he’s gonna regret if he knows he has a chance.

I definitely see you two starting off as friends and slowly falling for each other. It all really depends on the circumstances of how you two crossed paths for how long it takes for you to get together.

U — Upset . . . How Do They Act When You’re Upset?

His first priority is to comfort or calm you down. When upset, you’re not gonna always think rationally and he doesn’t want you to wear yourself out or do anything you’d regret. If there’s a issue, he won’t ultimately take over and help you, but he will assure and offer solutions if you need it. Sometimes, that’s all a person really wants when they’re upset and he realizes that over time.

V — Vaunt . . . What Are They Proud Of? Do They Like To Show You Off?

Despite his humble demeanor, he’s very proud and grateful for how far he’s come into his career. There was a point in his life where he felt like he wasn’t going to get as far as he wanted, yet he’s proven himself wrong.

He doesn’t mind showing you off at all! He loves you and everything you do. The reason he doesn’t have you out there to the public like crazy isn’t because he’s ashamed to be with you, but it’s because he values your privacy and his. Despite this, the instances where you two are put out in the spotlight, he’s making it known that you’re his and he’s yours!

W — Warrior . . . How Do They Feel About You Fighting? Would They Fight For You? Beside You? Ect.

Verbal or Physical, he doesn’t want you fighting at all! Mike likes to keep the peace in situations and feels that fighting isn’t the way to go. Although, he doesn’t want you to get walked over on and allow yourself to be backed into a corner. If we’re speaking about verbal fighting, he wholeheartedly supports you defending yourself and knows you’re an adult and you should be able to handle yourself. He won’t say anything but he will be alongside you to comfort you. Now, if it calls for it, he will defend you with no hesitation. If someone tries to insult/put you down while you’re not there to defend yourself, you bet he’s going to shut that down. So don’t even worry!

X — X-Ray . . . How Well Are They Able To Read You?

In the beginning of your relationship, it was so hard for him. At times he’d read too much and think the worst instead of coming up and communicating with you. Eventually, he’d get the hang of it all and now he can read you like an open book. He’s memorized your quirks and behaviors whenever you’re happy, sad, angry ect. and so have you for him.

Y — Yes . . . How Would They Propose To You?

Now, what some people may not know is that Mike has a pilot’s license! He wanted to make the proposal memorable for you and him, and he was wondering if he should do something totally different then you’d expect! With some coaxing from friends and his half brothers, they encouraged him to propose to you while flying! With some convincing, he pushed for you to join him on flying out. He assured you’d be safe and staged that his half brother couldn’t be his co-pilot and needed to go out because “he didn’t want his skills to get rusty.” You believed him obviously and followed through and as you two drove out in the air, he popped the question on you privately, handing you a ring box as he drove. You cried tears of joy and accepted his proposal.

Z — Zen . . . What Makes Them Feel Calm?

Knowing that you’re understanding and listening to him always. There’s a different between hearing and listening to someone. Sometimes, he feels invalidated on his wants and expressions therefore he doesn’t always outright admits to when he has a problem with something. You know he doesn’t like to ask for assistance or help, and will do it himself before anything. That’s why, whenever you feel or get a hunch that there’s something off, you immediately ask him if he’s alright or if there’s anything he’d want you to do. He appreciates it so much, and even if he declines your help and controls your worries, it means so much that you’re wondering how he’s feeling. To you, this is the bare minimum but to him, it means a lot.

Fluffy Thoughts on Mike Faist

AN: I love these photos. I thought I was going to have to scour the internet for the perfect ones but I saw these right away and was like “yup, that’s it. Those ones.”

He’s a morning person. He’ll wake up, give you a kiss, go for a run, and once he gets back he showers which is usually when you wake up.

You always oogle him when he comes out of the shower, just the towel wrapped around his waist. He blushes but secretly likes it. And let’s admit, he does the same thing to you all the time.

One of Mike’s favorite things is when you make breakfast together. You’ve just gotten out of bed; only wearing one of his shirts and a pair of panties and he’s wearing whatever comfortable clothes he put on after his shower. Usually a pair of loose shorts or sweats, occasionally a shirt.

Making breakfast together mostly comprised of each of you trying to distract the other. So it usually took twice the time it should’ve to make eggs and toast.

You loved how Mike danced. If you were both free in the evening, no scripts for Mike to read, no work for you, you would put on music and make him dance with you.

He always pretended to be reluctant for a few seconds but you both know how much he loves dancing, especially with you. You get so lost in each other that sometimes you end up dancing for hours.

When he’s rehearsing in NYC you often drop by on his lunch break with some food for him and you’ll eat together.

I personally headcannon that when he was in Dear Evan Hansen if he was having a particularly hard day that you would go over to the theatre before the show to cheer him up, repaint his nails, whatever he needed that day. You’d stay in his dressing room during the show just to be there for him. The walk home would be quiet and solemn but you didn’t mind, knowing that the constant companionship was what Mike needed in that moment.

Now, if you’re a dancer or a performer you and Mike met each other while in Newsies. I know it’s cliche but you both were in the ensemble and were the understudies for Jack and Katherine.

While in the show you would both often get to the theatre early to rehearse your scenes together or you would mime along to the scenes you weren’t in while the show was going. After a few months in the show and constantly rehearsing with each other you finally got up the courage to ask Mike if he wanted to grab drinks after the show one night.

The night at the bar you both only had a few drinks but you both were so caught up in the other person that you ended up going back to Mike’s apartment. Nothing crazy happened as some of your castmates, his roommates came home, but you both ended up falling asleep whilst sitting on his bed talking about your aspirations in life and whatever else you decided to discuss.

Once you move into an apartment together you both agree to have a weekly date night in. You don’t always do the same thing. If you’re both feeling fancy sometimes you’ll cook a meal together but most times one of you will pick up something, open a bottle of wine, and you’ll both sit on the sofa enjoying your time together, catching up, planning the future, or just watching a movie.

Mike is one of those people who is deceptively strong. It works much to his advantage because he’s also a hopeless romantic. Every time he sees you after being apart for even a day or two, he loves to pick you up on a hug and spin you around.

I was wondering if u could possibly do a fic with an singer/actress!reader who is finally able to come to mikes house due to having a day off, maybe she surprises him while he's still in bed or something (you can literally take it in any direction u want, whatever your heart desires😁😁)

I imagine she’s on tour; during the first leg, Mike was able to follow her around for at least parts of it. Cheering her on from VIP, watching amongst her friends, and the two would be spotted exploring the cities together the day before or after shows. Which would of course begin to spark rumors and curiosity online. I feel like they got together before Mike was crowned white boy of the month/challengers era so he isn’t recognized by all the fans but everyone is still curious if they’re dating or just friends. 

Unfortunately, he couldn’t keep up the groupie lifestyle for the second leg. And the two are now in a long term relationship, for the time being. But they've been calling every night, and texting all day, and counting down the minutes until they can see each other again. 

Which is how we get here. She has a slightly longer break between shows, let’s say four or five days instead of one or two. There obviously isn’t a question of how she should spend it. As soon as she gets off the plane (and grabs breakfast of course), she’s heading for his place. Even though it’s early in the morning, she can’t contain her excitement; she’s just pounding on his door. Annoyed by the rude awakening, Mike’s stomping out of bed and to the front door because who is knocking like this before 9:00 a.m. But once he opens the door and sees it’s her, he’d just get so giddy. She could not pass up her chance to surprise him and see the look on his face. 

They spend the morning in his apartment, eating their bagels and drinking the overpriced coffee she loves. And for a few hours, they just talk and talk as if it’s been years instead of months. Later in the day, they venture out for a museum date. Mike and her would be holding hands the whole time, whispering about the exhibits to each other, filling up that red iphone with photos. She’d have on just the right outfit for the occasion, praise her stylist, and together they’d look right out of a pinterest board. In fact, these two would end up on pinterest boards because Miss Singer Songwriter cannot go anywhere without a sneaky photo being taken. I imagine some candid pictures would end up online and would begin the conversation of “who is that with her?” and “so those two definitely are dating”. But then some fan in particular would ask her for a photo, which Mike would take. In recounting the story to the internet, it would pseudo-confirm that the pair was such. She would be much more offline during this break than when she’s alone on tour, so she wouldn’t see any of this until she’s back on the road. They can just bask in each other's company for the next few days. They’d go to dinner and her favorite bookstore. But what she’d cherish most was just being at home with him. She may not have said it to him, but he was really the only person who could make her feel normal.

A big reason as to why Mike is reluctant to expand his celebrity stature more than it is now, is because he sees what she goes through daily, and quite frankly, he wants nothing to do with it. It looks like hell. If it’s not the harassment – online, or in person – it’s the stalking, the complete and utter disrespect for her safety. What do you mean she can’t go to the store by herself out of fear she will be followed home? In the early years of their relationship, she hid out at his apartment for a week because paparazzi were camping out in front of her apartment after a scandal broke.

For her, Mike is her safety net. He is her safe haven. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, but when she is with him, she feels it dissipate. He is the sun breaking through on a cloudy day.

I think it’s a big reason why he seems very closed off when attending public events, like premieres or the MET. The people who are begging to talk to him, to get his picture, to know who he is wearing, are the same people scrutinizing and picking apart every single fucking thing his girl does, all while she is just trying to breathe. She handles it well, but he doesn’t.

You two have offices across the hall in the Liberal Arts building, and he hates that you constantly keep your door open so anyone who's struggling can get help whenever you're in, because that means he has to listen to your soft little lo-fi beats and your white noise machine and the constant chatter and laughs and jesus, your class can't be that fun.

jude born into the landry household alongside his twin sister, ziggy, and was instantly drawn into a life of color and wonder. the landry household's always been a restless one; designers and inventors and creative minds of both scientific and artistic pursuits constantly dancing through the hallways. never a moment of silence, of boredom, of inactivity. to others, their chaos is overwhelming - to jd, it's home.

he grew up being able to pursue whatever his heart desired, no matter how practical or impractical, even if his whims were fantastical or improbable. like his father and like many landrys before him - jude was drawn to science, to creation and invention. most evenings growing up were spent sitting beneath a tree, mapping out his next big project, anything to improve the life of himself and others. small things, like a multi - tool for dinner utensils, a pulley system from one balcony to the next; broke his arm in the eighth grade after attempting a grappling hook prototype that's still in works to this day.

it wasn't his only love, or his only passion; where there was the unknown, there was jd. beyond puzzles he needed to know the answer of, needed to solve - the mysteries and myths of kilmer have always intrigued jude. entranced him, almost, to the point of obsession. it's gotten him in trouble over the years - trespassing on private property just to catch the mysterious figure in the woods, casting himself off to sea in the middle of a storm just to capture a blurred photo of what could, theoretically, be a sea monster.

it's paradoxical, maybe - jude's a man of science. of reason and explanation; he shouldn't give old ghost stories more than a moment's thought. but he can't let go; insists on a reason behind every rumor, in truth behind every tale. he has to solve kilmer's cove, no matter what.

jude is... the more awkward twin; introverted but yet, still enthusiastic. is passionate about so many different things that it's hard to captivate his attention before his thoughts are drifting off to bigger, better things.

is always managing to rope others into his situations, whether it's being out on his boat at the crack of dawn for "sightings", or in the middle of the woods as he examines blair witch - esque stick figures, or in a pair of matching disguises. it's not always purposeful; jd has the tendency to take things too far.

"he loved her to the point of invention" is very real and true for jd. he's a yearner, and a lover, but not an actor. he rarely acts on his feelings, finding them too embarrassing to express - if he knew how to, anyways. love languages include acts of service, gift giving in the form of new things that'll make their lives easier. usually holds onto a few... somewhat pathetic crushes at a time, yet is completely oblivious when the feelings are returned, or otherwise felt for him.

is simply... so preoccupied with his own things. has a podcast with his twin, ziggy, and yeah maybe their only listeners are their parents and their aunts and uncles. so what? it's there where jude talks about his conspiracies, thoughts on kilmer's local hauntings, and the mythical creatures he's determined to prove real.

jd has the worst fashion sense known to man. he usually lets ziggy create clothes for him and pick out things that she thinks would work for him, otherwise... hopeless. sticks to a lot of earthy tones and mild patterns, with a hint of ziggy all over it. a fan of baggy clothes; it hides his - frankly surprising - sleeper build. is somehow still out out of shape.

a big fan of the outdoors, jd only really spends time inside to sleep and to work on his inventions - and even then, there's still a 50% chance that he's doing either of those things outside. loves hiking, loves sitting atop the cliffs. can usually be found with a pair of binoculars - for monster spotting, of course.

he's in possession of at least one degree in wildlife science, and is steadily working towards a second in engineering. jd doesn't really plan on stopping there, either. plans on earning as many degrees as he can, at least, in everything that interests him. until death.

despite his introversion, jd isn't an unfriendly person. he can be a little offputting at times, and awkward, and definitely has a complex towards people he perceives as either "better" or "cooler" than him - but outside of that? he's generally friendly. is open to conversations, and friendships, though large social situations are a bit nerve - wracking without ziggy by his side.

this is going to be a kind of brief list, as jude's very new, and i'm pretty open to anything ( within reason ). i'd generally like any romance - oriented connections to be more chemistry based than anything else.

friendships! i'm like pretty sure jude was homeschooled, however, the landrys are fairly known around town and jude's always been out and about. childhood friends, college class friends, a best friend besides ziggy even. ( infinite ).

an ex partner? jude doesn't date often, in fact, this may as well have been his only partner, and all of his firsts. they could've dated for any length of time, short or long, for any period of his life. they're just not together now... and it's very possible that it's jude's fault as his priorities are misaligned ( dedicated to his work ). but, there could've been other reasons as well! co - workers. whether from the oddities museum, or the boat tours - they've definitely worked alongside jude and have been subject to many of his rambles. whether they enjoyed it, or are perpetually annoyed and he's too oblivious to realize - well. ( infinite ).

a singular friend with benefits. this is a rare thing for jd. it's not super frequent, but it's someone that jd is comfortable with and trusts, and at the beginning - it was just something that happened! maybe feelings are there, or will develop and ruin their current friendship, or maybe they're content in their situation.
