I'm currently trying to dive into TikTok content creation with my first TikTok #MicroRyView! This time I am reviewing the latest @creationcast episode slightly by reviewing Spencer Campbell's work on Slayers and Nova as well as his own TikTok page. Check it out and spread some joy!
If you like what you hear, check out Spencer's work at:
Website: https://gilarpgs.com/
Itch: https://gilarpgs.itch.io/
TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@gilarpgs
And here's the episode I reviewed:
But more importantly, if you like what you see of his work. tell him and make his day a bit brighter.
Thanks, everyone!

Assassin's Creed Unity
We just beat Assassin's Creed: Rogue a couple nights ago, nearly 100% (I'm slowly going through the fleet missions to get to the end, then just have 1 legendary battle left that I think I'll be able to tackle). We started Unity in the meantime, and this game is kinda gorgeous? The attention to detail so far is phenomenal.

The interiors are better than the next game in the series, syndicate, it feels. It's been a long time, however. But the random people in these attics or gardens or wherever... lovers stealing moments together, people getting portraits painted, friends meeting on the street... this one feels much more lived in, and that's pretty cool to see.

Then you throw in a star-crossed lovers storyline? I'm very here for this.

I'm a little disappointed at the controls so far, though. They feel more clunky than previous games, and more so than Syndicate, which is the game we started with. However, I'm thinking with a bit of time we'll get used to it and it'll be less of an issue.
The main problem I have is the parkouring in this game feels a little *too* fluid? It doesn't feel like it fits? I'm not sure how to say that. So, if we can get past the mechanics, this game seems like it'll have a lot going for it... Well, aside from the brushed aside beginnings of the modern times.
Goodness, do I have words about how disappointing it is to just have cutscenes of the modern times instead of being able to get up and move around. I get it, it's supposed to be "you are a random user (I think) and they hacked into your Helix to help you see the truth so you could help them out", and like... you, the player, are that person so your "modern times" is actual real life, or something. I dunno, it's not as interesting as it was in the Ezio collection or even in the first person Abstergo Entertainment story of the last couple of games. We'll see where it lands, however.
