This floral blouse appeared on Michelle Dockery as Mary Crawley in the 2011 television series 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒃𝒆𝒚.   Before that, the costume was worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones as Mary McGarvie in the 2007 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒔!   The piece most likely originated with the 1992 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅’𝒔 𝑬𝒏𝒅, where it appeared on Emma Thompson as Margaret Schlegel.   Find out where else this piece has been worn at Bit.ly/VicEd106

The farmhouse! One of my absolute favorite places I got to visit! This house is featured all throughout the show in Seasons 1 and 2. It is absolutely gorgeous in person and I immediately fell in love with it! The owners have since remodeled it and the barn behind but it’s still recognizable. I had to take a photo with my Letty because it’s so iconic to the show. ❤️

I wish I could have seen the back of the house and the barn and took photos but it’s a real home owned by real people and I wanted to be respectful and not trespass.

Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 46: Hogfather 🦌 I mentioned the profound effect the previous film had on young me, well I think it's safe to say that Terry Pratchett has had the greatest effect on me of any author (he is my favorite author of all time, without doubt). To say I was excited when I learned a live action movie was being made of one of the Discworld novels would be an understatement. And it was one of my favorites, Hogfather! As soon as I was able to find a way to watch it here (in the U.S.) I did, and bought the DVD as soon as it was available, then went on to try and acquire any/every version of it I could find on blu-ray as I discovered they were available. It still makes me sad that Sir Pratchett is no longer with us these several years later, but there is such of wealth of his creation to enjoy that I think I'll get by. Anyways, I like this TV movie-- it has its flaws, as anything does (editing is a bit off in places, and a couple moments seem forced off camera presumably due to what the effects would've cost), but it more than makes up for it in humor, charm, and entertainment. Next on my list was the little church Letty drives by on her way to see Jacob after leaving Daphne’s house in Season 1 Episode 1 “So You’re Not an English Teacher.”

On the way here I actually ended up driving past “Estelle’s” white farmhouse without realizing it because I had in my head I would see the little church first. The magic of television! 🤩😉 This little church is about 5 miles past the farmhouse.

Fun fact about this location, it was also used in the road block scene in Season 2, Episode 4 “I Think It’s A Sign.” They were driving in the dark and in the rain but If you look closely at the screen cap you can see the church’s sign and staircase/walkway. Sneaky sneaky filmmakers! 😂
