This stunning Edwardian gown is a wonderful example of how lighting choices can change the way we view a garment in different productions.   The dress was initially seen on Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley in the first season of 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒃𝒆𝒚 in 2010, where it appeared quite green. This floral blouse appeared on Michelle Dockery as Mary Crawley in the 2011 television series 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒃𝒆𝒚.   Before that, the costume was worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones as Mary McGarvie in the 2007 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨��𝒕𝒔!   The piece most likely originated with the 1992 𝑯𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅’𝒔 𝑬𝒏𝒅, where it appeared on Emma Thompson as Margaret Schlegel.   Find out where else this piece has been worn at Bit.ly/VicEd106

The farmhouse! One of my absolute favorite places I got to visit! This house is featured all throughout the show in Seasons 1 and 2. It is absolutely gorgeous in person and I immediately fell in love with it! The owners have since remodeled it and the barn behind but it’s still recognizable. I had to take a photo with my Letty because it’s so iconic to the show. ❤️

I wish I could have seen the back of the house and the barn and took photos but it’s a real home owned by real people and I wanted to be respectful and not trespass.
