First time I'm reblogging something, let's try this. The Windmills of our Minds by Michel Legrand (he's the composer, you have tons of covers, my favorite is the original by Noel Harrison), once again because it's the song of the long fic I'm writing now. I have a writing playlist with only covers from this song, including a lovely orchestral cover by Joe Hisaishi.

Passepied from the Suite Bergamasque, by Debussy, because it's the background song from the 1889 Dream/Hob meeting in Ep6 of the Sandman. It's funny because Debussy doesn't finish composing the Suite Bergamasque before 1905, fifteen years *after* the meeting. So it means the music we hear can't be played in the White Horse. My HC is that the song is playing in Dream's head. (I have a pianist!Hob plot bunny were Lucienne is actually playing the piano because she's spying on Morpheus. Then Morpheus leaves, and pianist Hob talks to Lucienne because he loves the piece she played, and it's the start of a lovely friendship. Fifteen years later, Hob hears the Suite Bergamasque and has questions.)

La Chanson du Jongleur, by Maxime le Forestier, favorite song to write silly shenanigans (I'm talking about Hob from the King, the Fae and the Peasant). It gave me a lovely HC of Hob picking up juggling as a way to empty his head post-1689, and performing in the streets.
