Ever since Mary heard that the guy her sister is going to marry got a serious upgrade to Marquess, she is suffering a bad case of Resting Bitchface. I mean, even in comparison to her usual expression. What kind of way is this to look at a guest at the lunch table?
#Downton Abbey#I hope they paid Michelle Dockery extra for that face#this is her whole shitty character arc downward summed up in one screenshot. that's it we can all go home now#that or it's not Mary's face but Michelle Dockery's because she's looking at the script of the latter half of the episode

‘Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale’ Trailer Ushers In 1930 & Tells Us It’s Time To Say Goodbye – CinemaCon
Nancy Tartaglione, Deadline April 2, 2025
Focus Features today offered CinemaCon attendees an emotional look at the first trailer for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. This is the last in the trilogy of big screen continuations of the British TV drama phenomenon. It’s written by series creator Julian Fellowes and directed by Simon Curtis.
*Spoilers*
Plot details had previously been sparse, but the trailer shown today includes a title card that tells us “It’s time to say goodbye” before we see Hugh Bonneville’s Earl of Grantham patting the facade of the manor house on the Grantham Estate in what indeed appears to be a farewell.
Before that, we hear Jim Carter’s Mr. Carson saying, “Welcome to 1930.” There are images of the family at the races, of Dominic West’s Guy Dexter in London’s West End and Michelle Dockery’s Lady Mary ascending steps while wearing a sumptuous red gown. A portrait of the late Maggie Smith’s Dowager Countess is also lovingly framed. The first two Downton movies grossed over $287M combined globally. We learned in May that production was officially underway on the third with main cast members returning and a number of new additions to the feature franchise. Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti is reprising his role from the TV series as Cora’s (Elizabeth McGovern) brother Harold Levinson. New to the movies are Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola and House of the Dragon’s Simon Russell Beale and Arty Froushan. As well as McGovern, other returning key cast include Bonneville, Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton, Lesley Nicol, Michael Fox, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Kevin Doyle, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sophie McShera, Paul Copley and Douglas Reith. The film will pay homage to the “end of an era” with the loss of the Dowager Countess, which has taken on greater significance following the death of Oscar-winning actress Maggie Smith last September. Smith played Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham, in all six seasons of the series and reprised the role in the two subsequent films, with her character dying in 2022’s Downton Abbey: A New Era. The domestic theatrical release is set for September 12 this year — can we get a Venice launch?

Not sure if I'm using the word correctly, but you have "head cannon" voices for your characters?
I’ve answered questions similar to this a couple times already, buuuut it has been almost a year since and I’m always game to ramble on about my characters in ways similar but ever-so-slightly different to what I’ve done before!
Theo has a voice on the higher end for a man (his singing voice would be in the tenor range). He typically speaks in a posh, refined, almost theatrical accent, but that drops away almost completely when he gets riled up. His words are always slightly corrupted by some vocal imperfection, be it a sibilant hiss, nasal whine, throaty growl or a bout of stuttering.
Similar vibes: Peter Lorre, Vincent Price, this particular Doc Ock
In contrast to Theo, Jocosa has a deeper voice for a woman. Her posh accent never breaks, and she can could count the times she's raised her voice to a yell on one hand. Her tone is steely, cold, low and haughty. Every word is pronounced precisely and distinctly, as if it slipped off the pages of a dictionary instead of her tongue.
Similar vibes: Maleficent, Michelle Dockery
Ambroys speaks differently depending on his surroundings. While his voice could be generally described as youthful, clear and far from baritone, but he changes his tones and pitch readily depending on how he wants to come off. He'll speak in deeper, flatter tones around men his age, more boyishly and chirpy around older authority figures, and in a dreadfully sugary manner around women he wants to look "cute" to. He tends to have a sing-songy intonation to his words, which ramps up when he's being "adorable." His voice cuts through even the noise of a lively party, which at least gives people the chance to escape before he targets them for a very one-sided "conversation."
Similar vibes: Hulce's Mozart, this anime lad
When Ambroys is older, his voice matures a little, and he doesn't try to be "cutesy" anymore. Instead, he speaks in delicate, soothing, mellifluous tones, and uses the lower end of his register more often.
I don't have an idea for a character who speaks like how I imagine Older!Ambroys does off the top of my head (though if anyone has a suggestion for him or anyone else here I'd like to hear it)!
#i have other characters ofc but i don't talk about them enough for people to be curious about how THEY talk i think#the 'ramble about characters similar to how i've done before' sounds like i'm being sarcastic but i'm really not#whenever i see those things where you can fill out a questionnaire about your characters i do at least some of them#i never get tired of finding new ways to write “theo is a neet” or “ambroys is a dipshit” and when i get to describe their eye color?#it's gray? like's it's always been for 15 years? oh yeah man. let me type HOW gray. again. on this thing only i will ever read#i love it. like a cozy blanket#ANYWAY THANKS FOR THE QUESTION AHAHA#asks#note to self when my hell semester is over i need to overhaul my tagging system like i said i would...#theo#ambroys#jo

Hugh Bonneville promises 'new elements' and 'thrills and spills' in Downton Abbey 3
The actor tells Yahoo UK that he thinks the new film is the "best" of the franchise
Downton Abbey made some big changes on the big screen with 2022's A New Era, but Robert Crawley star Hugh Bonneville assures Yahoo UK that the upcoming third film will be even bigger and better than anything that has come before it.
Speaking with Yahoo UK for a Role Recall interview, the actor shares that the film feels like a "lovely coming together of people". Fans will be rivetted by what is to come for Robert and the Crawley family because the film is full of "spills and thrills" according to Bonneville, who took a break from production to promote his new ITV series Douglas is Cancelled.
"For my character, I think the usual [can be expected], which is that he's a sort of dinosaur trying to be led into the future reluctantly, and then eventually he stumbles forward a bit," Bonneville teases.
"So as always, there's that rhythm of things changing with glacial slowness, and Robert finally accepting that things [are changing] — it's time to move the story on, so to speak. It's got the usual tropes, if you like, of thrills and spills in a very Downtown [sic] way, which means spilling a tea cup pretty much!
"People who've watched the show over the years and have loved it will miss Maggie Smith's presence. She doesn't step out of the shower and it's all been a dream, she is gone.
"But, I think there's so much warmth and fun to enjoy, and new elements as well — which I won't spoil — that I think it'll certainly be the best iteration of the film versions yet."
The third Downton Abbey film will see the original cast return including Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter and Laura Carmichael, while A New Era's Dominic West will also reprise his role as Guy Dexter. They will be joined by a host of new characters played by Paul Giamatti, Joely Richardson, Simon Russell Beale, and Alessandro Nivola.
Details of the story have not yet been revealed, but Bonneville's positivity about it seems like a good sign. The actor also spoke of how it still surprises him that the franchise has become as beloved as it has since the show first premiered in 2010 because it didn't originally seem like it would.
"It never ceases to amaze me, it did when it first started in 2010 and here we are, 14 years later, we're making a third movie," he explains. "At least one of our producers said, 'well, it's never gonna last beyond seven episodes anyway so don't lose too much sleep about this', and here we are all those years later still together.
"What's been really interesting is there's a whole new generation of people watching it and still finding it engaging, and also what's been rather touching, particularly over the pandemic, [was] when people were stuck at home and they revisited a show that had finished five years before.
"Each of us have had lots of letters from people saying: 'I used to watch it with my Gran', or 'my son who is now married', or 'my husband, who's now passed on', or whatever. It had an emotional resonance for the period of time that it was on, and people find comfort in it, and revisited it like a warm bath.
"I'm not complaining because it's been a wonderful part of my life and we're filming the third film at the moment, it's a lovely coming together of people I care deeply about, and that's just the fictional characters."

The moment you realise that from this point on, the main cast of Downton Abbey are never going to get together ever again.
There will forever be someone missing in each of their reunions. Slowly the older actors will leave us, and the younger ones will grow old. Time flies and our memories of when we first watched the show will fade.
But the characters will stay alive or young forever.
One day when we feel the urge to visit our old friends on screen again, they will always be there waiting for us, just like when we first met them all those years ago.

'It feels amazing, a tad emotional. It's wonderful to all be back together again. We come back together and it's like no time has passed at all' - Michelle Dockery announcing Downton Abbey 3
Time will pass, that's for sure. But we can always get back together in our fond memories of what was once so great. This is one of the most beautiful things about tv shows and films.
Remembering Dame Maggie Smith (28.12.1934 - 27.09.2024)
#I’m still taking it in tbh :(#I listen to ‘cortege’ from a new era soundtrack today and it definitely hit different#although the dowager is not my favourite character she is the anchor of the show#and her lines are gold#although I still call her professor mcgonagall irl I think that’s gonna be forever#downton abbey#maggie smith#downton abbey behind the scenes

Alright I just finished watching Defending Jacob which I've been meaning to watch for near on five years now.
I love a crime drama and I love Michelle Dockery so I was sold immediately BUT MY GODDDDDD THE ENDING...
DID HE DO IT? IS HE INNOCENT? I'M TEARING MY HAIR OUT.
I thought it was a great show, I saw it was criticised for the pacing of the ending and everything but honestly I loved the final episode, it was suspenseful and fun. And I understand why they didn't clear up the big question of whether or not Jacob was innocent, it's presumably supposed to be a bit maddening like that because that's how his parents feel. BUT I HAVE TO KNOW...... FOR MY SANITY......
If he's innocent, it's just devastating all round. Like, how do you come back from being the kid accused of such a heinous crime and having your entire world shatter, lose all your friends, your routine, everything? Even if you move home, move school, get a fresh start, the trauma of it sticks. And the fact they discussed his porn preferences in the courtroom and that he frequents violent websites... if I was his parents, kid would be in therapy PRONTO to address all of it but also specifically that. Jesus Christ. They had concerns over his empathy, too, which I feel like adds to... all of that. The websites, the writing of the story, etc.
If he's guilty... I mean, fuck. Motive was clear but you can't really come back from that either lmao.
I don't know what to think, really. I don't want for him to have done it and it almost seems too easy to say he did when he's the title character and so much went into trying to prove his innocence. That's the entire plot. But it looks pretty fuckin' bad, Jacob, can't lie!!!
The knife that we'll never know to be a match or have Ben's DNA on it because his dad was A MORON and threw it away. I really liked Andy's character in this but omg. He wrote a detailed story about how it felt to stab someone to death. His fingerprint and how he couldn't keep his story straight for how he acted after supposedly discovering Ben's body. He confessed to his mom in the car though that seemed like more of a way to get her to stop driving so fast because it seemed like what she wanted to hear. He acted oddly about his newfound 'fame' online and being recognised. All signs point to him but it just also feels too simple to say that he did. I know it's more clear in the book the series is based on that he did it but I don't think the show was trying to replicate it exactly. Holly turns up again in the show, unlike in the book, which feels like a point in Jacob's favour; like the show was trying to point to his innocence.
I've seen other theories say his mother murdered Ben because she somehow found out about the bullying and is clearly 'unstable' but bitch anyone would be unstable if their son was accused of stabbing someone to death. I feel like that one's a reach. None of her actions throughout the show would make any sense if she was the killer.
I did see a theory that it was Matt McGrath, because he actually enjoyed the time he spent with Leonard Patz and was repressing his own homosexuality, and upon finding out Leonard no longer wanted to see him because he was becoming interested in Ben... Matt decided to kill him so he wouldn't lose Leonard. I quite like that theory. Matt using paying Leonard to let him touch him as an excuse not to confront his own desires and not wanting to lose that as his only outlet for the things he was feeling, being jealous because Leonard thought of Ben as 'beautiful' and had been stalking him and took photos of him... it would be a good motive for Matthew. Even more so if he took drugs beforehand and felt brave enough to go through with it. Nothing else really points to him but it's a fun theory.
Obviously it's possible Leonard did actually do it. There were signs he could've. He seems shy and fearful throughout the scenes we see but he was evidently stalking Ben and wanted to reach out to him, if he hadn't already, to strike up some kind of relationship to satisfy his urges? He deletes the photos of Ben out of fear of the police finding them and seems to move on to a new victim at work, but he returns to the scene of the crime I think more than once? Common thing for the killer to do. Someone also pointed out that Leonard seemed to use an Android phone in the series whereas the whole Barber family uses Apple products, and Apple don't allow "bad guys" in shows to be shown using their products lmao. I guess that's as good a theory as any for at least Jacob's innocence (Leonard would've been bad either way considering he's a convicted pedophile).
I also saw a theory say that Derek did it, but with Jacob's knife. That he stole it from Jacob then returned it secretly when visiting him that evening to play video games. He had motive because of wanting to defend Sarah, and then it was easy to twist the blame towards Jacob because he's the one who owned the knife.
I just feel like it can't have been Jacob. It's too easy. This is too 'happy families' of me but in my head, the truth does eventually come out somehow, whoever it was, and the Barber family are able to go to fucking family therapy and be happy again lmao.
To conclude: Joanna the lesbian lawyer was a fucking slay. I loved her.

I'm thinking Ewan Mitchell sold his soul to Hollywood. Fucking scary how they lure young great talents like him in. Thoughts?
Look, I'm gonna tell it to you as clean as I can.
Actors and Actresses are narcissistic, shallow, neurotic, empty people, which, as a whole, can't be trusted. They'll do and say whatever it takes not just to get a role, but to get even a few more lines in a script. They are adult people that play make believe for a living because they, generally, don't like themselves and want to be someone else. To deify or put on a throne, anyone, that plays pretend for a living is plain ignorant and you're asking for your heart to be dashed.
No one enters entertainment and comes out a better person, yeah?
There is a very few actors/Actresses that are jobbing, lunch pail working performers that are good and normal people.
Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jenna Coleman, Nikolaj Coster-Waldu, Matthew Marsden, Aiden Turner, and Sam Heughan.
The only standard you should have for an actor or actress is these three questions:
Are they respecting the character?
Are they respecting the Lore?
And - most importantly - are they respecting the fans?
I hit Olivia Cooke with the fucking truck all the time, because, Olivia Cooke does not live up to these basic principles. She doesn't care about Alicent, in fact she hates Alicent. She doesn't give a fuck about the lore, and is actively campaigning to change it to virtue signal. And she openly does not care about the fans unless their gender and sexuality gives her cashe to big-up her career.
Like I've said, you can love a character and dislike an actor/actress. I'd give my sword for Alicent Hightower ... and at the same time I think Olivia Cooke is a dishonest snake.
Same thing with Lena Headey. Lena Headey might legitimately be retarded, okay. She is so stupid that she couldn't spell "Cat" if I spotted her the "C" and the "A", right? Lena Heady also happens to check all three of the boxes. She loved playing Cersei. She respected the Lore around Cersei and didn't try to change her character to make her look better. And while she had a terrible history prior of out right abusing her own fans, she learned to appreciate the people that paid her fucking bills, in the end.
When it comes to Ewan. I wouldn't wear those clothes, and I question the manhood and self-respect of any man who wears them - gay or straight. But at the end of the day, Ewan Mitchell has a right to do whatever the fuck he wants to do. Or, more succinctly, I don't give a fuck about his or any other actor's personal lives.
What they do on their time is their business. But what they do on my time is my business. And since I'm paying a subscription for "MAX" and thus paying his fucking salary, I expect him to not waste my time with half-ass performances and hack effort, right?
But he hasn't waisted my time.
Ewan Mitchell has been a model of professionalism and passion when it comes to portraying Aemond.
He has put more thought than anyone - except for Glynn-Carney - about his character.
He is dedicated to playing the character right.
And he has been exemplary in his treatment and interaction with the fans of the show and the franchise as a whole.
And that's really all you can ask of an actor in your franchise. What he does and believes in his personal life is his affair. As long as he doesn't disrespect me than I won't disrespect him. That simple.
Once more, you guys have to stop putting actors/actresses on thrones, cause they're only human ... and, in many cases, not very good ones. Love the character, stan the character, but hold these real life people to simple standards that they should be holding themselves too.
I'm not coming down on you nonny, but I've had thirteen years of this shit on Tumblr of fangirls worshiping an actor or actress in cult like status because they like a character.
You guys have got to stop doing that, cause it only leads to bad things.

Enjoy (;
You opened the bottle of scotch with a pop! And poured you and Kate each a glass.
It was late and you are both in her office. It had been a long day. Kate had spent all day arguing in court in the second Whitehall case. And you, as her new assistant, were always running to keep up with her.
You handed the woman her glass and she thanked you.
You did your best to follow what she said, keep track of her things, take notes, and learn from your mentor as best as you could. You usually ended up working insane hours, really early and then late into the night, but you liked it. But it was never easy…
Especially as her gaze racked up and down your figure as she sipped her scotch.
You sipped some of your own as a way to distract, your cheeks flushing a little. This made Kate chuckle.
“What…?”
“Nothing, you’re just adorable.” Kate hummed, taking another sip of her alcohol.
This made you blush even more.
“Am not…” you mumbled back.
“I looked at you for more than one second, and you start blushing… That’s adorable.” Kate chuckled.
You huffed in defeat, trying to avoid anymore blushing embarrassment. So you sat down in one of her lounge chairs. Kate followed and sat next to you in the loveseat. You only then noticed the time.
“Fuck Kate. It’s 1…”
Kate only then looked at the clock and her eyes widened.
“Indeed… Happy New Years, love.” She hummed, raising her glass out for you to clink.
You two clinked glasses and chuckled.
“So… any New Year’s resolutions for you?” Kate asked.
You thought about it for a moment.
“I’d… I would like to try to be less stressed.” You decidingly exclaimed.
You met Kate’s gaze after she didn’t respond for a moment after you spoke. Her gaze was fixed on your lips, but flickered back up to your eyes as you looked at her.
“You?”
“I…” Kate whispered, putting her glass down and coming closer to you, “Would like to kiss you…” she breathed out.
Your breath hitched and your eyes widened. Kate took your drink for you, putting it aside as you gulped.
“I’d very much like that…” you breathed out, your breathing already growing shallow.
This made Kate smile and lean in to close the gap. She slowly pecked your lips, starting slow and beginning to explore your lips. She bit your bottom lips every once in a while, making you shiver and causing your body to heat up more and more.
Kate’s left hand slid behind and around your neck, and her other landed on your thigh.
Her tongue then came out, swiping your bottom lip while she hummed. You understood her ask, opening your mouth enough for Kate’s tongue to enter your cavern. You let out an instinctive and breathy moan, as her tongue began to taste and explore your mouth.
It was still a slow pace, you were very much letting Kate take the lead. When she realized your hands wee frozen and unsure what to do, she guided them to her hips, humming in satisfaction when you had found her curves.
This was when you started to lose air, and Kate was as well, so she slowly pulled away. Her hooded eyes met your gaze. You breathed out a ragged breath and shivered.
There was only one thing going through your mind right now, and you could only say one thing,
“More” you whimpered.

Oh you know I need your dream cast for a Succession prequel, Sophie
(x)
Okay okay okay, SO first thing's first, my dream Succession prequel is set against the 80s clusterfuck expansion into parks because every little bit of canon we got about that era just cooks. You've got Logan meeting Frank (and probably Gerri), Logan's whirlwind romance then toxic marriage to Caroline, Logan starting to have the golden trio and reconnecting with Connor and dealing with the aftermath of what happened to, and with, Connor's mother! Plus Ewan may or may not be still involved in the company? (I choose to think he is!)
As a result, a lot of my casting is partially determined by the age the characters would be then, which means I've had to change some actual dream casting (Romola Garai as 40yo Gerri, my beloved), but it's also a pretty fun era to think about so that's fine.
Anyway, let David Tennant as Young(er) Ewan invite you in:
I really love the Snr. Roy's being from Scotland, and their backstory feels so entwined with Scottish WWII history, so I wanted to honour that a bit in the fancasting, but all the same, I think I probably would've cast David Tennant anyway. I think he can sell that simultaneous moral superiority and absolute hypocrisy in a way that Ewan needs, and honestly, I just love the idea of him reading Jesse Armstrong's dialogue, haha.
Was Karl working for Logan in the 80s? I choose to believe yes, because I love him. Jack Lowden's been one of those actors who's popped up in a few things I've watched lately - Fighting with My Family, Small Axe and Slow Horses in particular, and I've been consistently pretty impressed with him? I think he's got a good handle of comedic timing (important for anyone taking up the Karl mantle) but also is a compelling dramatic actor and I think he could kill it opposite...
David Rysdahl as Young Frank! I've always figured Frank would've been a bit younger than Logan, and I love that little glimpse we got in canon of Frank having been brought in to advise on the parks acquisition and then Logan basically making him an offer to stay. There's something extra crunchy there for me if Frank's a little wide-eyed at the time and Logan oozes that charm that we know that he can turn on when he wants to. I like the psychosexual drama, and I also like the idea of Frank having this weird sort of connection to Caroline and Kendall because he met them while he was still impressionable / in the midst of being swept up.
But yes, haha, David Rysdahl I think is a bit of an up-and-comer, which is kinda funny given he's been in a lot of stuff. I've liked him though in the newest season of Fargo, and lowkey think he looks a bit like a young Peter Friedman.
Honestly, I just loved her in Swallow a lot, and she played the smart, unhappy, unhinged, WASP-y wife there to such perfection that I think she'd be ideal for a young Gerri who's still better known as Baird's wife than as counsel. There's such an attitude and vulnerability to Haley too which I think would match J's quite well, plus they have a bit of a similar look too which works for me? I want to see her claw her way in! And I also want to see her toxic relationship with Caroline which leads to her being Shiv's godmother.
Speaking of...
Honestly, I went through a few people for Caroline and she was surprisingly hard to cast. A lot of actresses who felt like they might fit the bill - Michelle Dockery and Claire Foy were two that sprung to mind - didn't really work as I didn't think they could quite balance the acidity with the blunt charm and playfulness that Harriet Walter just does so well (and honestly is a testament to what an actress she is). But then! Jessie Buckley! I've loved Jessie in everything I've seen her in, from Women Talking to The Lost Daughter, but it was actually thinking about her turn in Misbehaviour which made me think of her for this, exactly because of how she can play, well playfulness.
Plus I think she'd be a lot of fun opposite...
I did say I''d go with a Scotsman! Ewan McGregor's been in a few mmm, less good things lately, which makes a turn in a role like Logan Roy could potentially be pretty great. He's always been a remarkable actor, and one who, I think, can find the heart in any role, which is arguably what any actor playing Logan needs. Plus I always tend to think Ewan has chemistry with everyone he acts opposite, and I think he could really sell Logan's naked charisma in this era in a way that would make sense given he's making some pretty questionable choices across the board in the 80s. Plus, y'know, to the point of the post that inspired this one, I think him playing Logan would do a lot of psychic damage to people who could only ever see Logan as perpetrator of abuse and never as product or victim.
#also i lowkey think alan ruck looks a bit like david tennant?#i think it's sort of around the eyes#which makes that casting fun too#i always wonder what ewan's wife / marian's mother must've been like#but yes#making this post has made me want to write this fic again haha </3#hbo succession#recastings#kinda#welcome to my ama#logan roy#ewan roy

As I've started to rewatch Downton Abbey, I realize why I didn't like Mary from the start, despite her bullying only really reaching its heights in season 5: She expects everyone to bend over backwards to shower her with the privileges of a lady, but she doesn't want to bow to the obligations that come with it. She doesn't care to be a virgin for marriage, she complains about having to wear mourning attire ("I hate black" - funny; later on, it's one of the more dominant colors of her wardrobe even outside of mourning), she gossips, she has zero social graces for people who are grieving. Now, usually, I would defend a woman's rights to all those, but the problem is, she still expects to be pampered, even when she gives nothing in return. Bless Michelle Dockery's soul; she brought a real bitch to life there. Wondering if Julian Fellowes did that on purpose or is just blind to Mary's character flaws as she's something of his pet.
Also, Laura Carmichael is a very beautiful woman, and throughout the first season, they kept dressing her down. And apparently telling her to press her chin down so her face looks as unflattering as possible.

Not romantic chemistry, but overall onscreen chemistry...
I think in Marvel Chris basically had chemistry with everyone.
Actually, I think if he was still in the franchise they might actually be doing better. A while back on twitter fans were reminiscing how the old Marvel OGs vibed and hit way better than the new generation. People were saying Chris had fun with virtually everyone he was paired up with during those Avengers press tours and there was always laughter and hilarity in those interviews he participated in. His personality was just inviting and charismatic and I really think it rubbed off on a lot of people. Not everyone, but the majority. And I think now that he's no longer there, there is a hole.
He and RDJ really had chemistry. Hemsworth. Scarlett. Renner. Elizabeth Olsen. Chadwick.
Danai and him didn't have too many scenes on camera but IRL they vibed very well.
While not everyone appeared to get along with Brie Larsen when she first showed up, her and Chris vibe well.
Him and Don Cheadle have great hilarious snarky banter.
Even him and Frank Grillo - everyone has to hate on the whole Hydra thing but they actually had chemistry. It was weird but interesting. Makes that whole dynamic also intriguing and terrible.
Anthony Mackie and Chris have excellent chemistry. IMHO, Steve and Sam's friendship was one of my favorites - they immediately lit up the screen upon first meeting. I wish they explored that friendship more when they could have.
Outside of Marvel, I think Chris has great chemistry with Octavia Spencer. I also thought he did better with Betty Gabriel in Defending Jacob than Michelle Dockery. Maybe because Betty's character wasn't his wife and he just does better when he's teaming up with someone or portraying a friendship or even a nemesis.
Bryce Dallas Howard and him did pretty well. I think she's a really good actress too and that pairing of their characters actually worked for me.
Overall, I thought Chris and everyone else in Knives Out had great chemistry. Not a single miss IMHO. I also think that was one of the best casts of modern times. I'm a bit confused, annoyed, and irritated as to why they didn't get a Best Ensemble Cast nomination.
I agree with all this. No one has to ever complained about him on set. Everyone seems to get along with him well. He just can’t fake being in love 🤷🏻♀️ being a love interest is his weakness.

Now that we've got a trailer and a release date for Oddity, here's the trailer of Here, Gwilym's other upcoming project, starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright and Paul Bettany, out on November 15.
"While Here focuses mainly on [Tom Hanks and Robin Wright's] family, the film occasionally flashes back to those who inhabited these four walls before them and faced their own upheavals and conflicts. Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) and Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody) play the home’s first residents at the dawn of the 20th century, an aviator and his wife who never suspect how soon their living room will be used for a funeral wake." (Vanity Fair)

Gwil's character, John Harter, doesn't appear in the trailer but! Here he is 👨🏻
