"I’ll always remember Venice, I’ve never been there before. Everyone always says how beautiful it is and what a special place it is, but you don’t believe them until you get to see them yourself. We never got to have a wrap party where you meet and thank all the crew for the work they’ve done because of COVID. Venice was kind of our mini wrap party at the end of the shoot. It was very special to be there with Michael and Harry and our crew and just have two days in this incredible city...
We were really lucky because everything that you’d want to do as, as an initial tourist, Patrick and Tom do in the movie. We got to ride a gondola, walk the beautiful bridges and streets, check out art and music. Yeah, we were lucky because my bucket list was what Patrick wanted to show Tom whilst they were there as well."
David Dawson to Schön Magazine on filming in Venice for My Policeman, Nov, 29th, 2022.

Vom Zombie-Modus zur mentalen Freiheit: Die Kraft des langsamen Denkens (Der Schlüssel!) - Michael Nehls

In 1938, the song was a smash hit in Nazi Germany under its Germanized title "Bei mir bist du schön".[3] According to contemporary journalist Michael Mok, the song was likewise immensely popular among the German diaspora in America where pro-Nazi sympathizers in Yorkville ale-houses often chorused the tune under the mistaken impression that it was "a Goebbels-approved" ballad.[5] Initially assumed to be an uncontroversial song in a southern German dialect, an uproar occurred when its Jewish provenance was abruptly discovered and widely publicized by the press.[33][3] Following this embarrassing discovery, as "any music by composers of Jewish ancestry was forbidden under the Nazi regime," the song was promptly banned by state authorities in Germany

"I DON'T THINK I LOVE YOU ANYMORE."
(I hate this post so much pretend this doesnt exist😭😭)
....alone again???...
ANGST
michael kaiser x fem reader
reader had abandonment issues (real😂😂🤑🤑)
(my sensitive ass cannot handle angst but whatever)
"And do you know what she said???" You asked Michael, a soft grin plastered on your face. You and Michael were currently in café on a date together, you couldn't lie you were over the moon to be spending time with your boyfriend he's been so busy with football you've been barely able to see him.
"She—" You say but something seemed off with Michael. "Micha, are you listening to me???" You ask him your grin being replaced with a small concerned frown.
"What??— yes, of course I am, meine süße." Michael reassures you, but you could tell he wasn't interested in you babbling about whatever. You can feel getting nervous, but you can't help yourself in past relationships, you've been told you're too clingy and always needed constant revaluation that your relationship will work out.
"Y/N, I need to talk to you. Could you wait outside the café for me?? Don't worry, I'll pay for the drink." Michael asks you as he gets up, taking his wallet out of his back pocket. While you walked out to the door, the cool winter air hit your face as you stood there waiting for Michael. Your brain was running through all the possibilities that might happen. Does he want to break up with you??? Does he not love you anymore??? You feel yourself getting more and more nervous by the second that's until you hear his voice.
"Y/N, I'm gonna cut to the chase, I don't think I love you anymore." Michael says, his voice not faulting one bit. He saw you stood there, the corners of your mouth lowering, your eyelids drooping. The only words you could muster up was.
"Why???" You muttered meekly. It took you every fibre in your being, not to break down crying and begging him to say. Michael let out a low sigh, he knew this wouldn't be easy for you.
"You're too clingy, and you always want to meet up with me. I don't think you fucking understand Y/N. I have a career, a life ahead of me, and you're distracting me from my dream with your constant need for fucking reassurance 24/7." Michael scoffs, not caring about your feelings at this point, he didn't want sugar coat his word, she needed to hear what he felt even if it meant crushing her heart into a million pieces.
"Michael, p-please don't— you can't do this to me, please, Michael, I fix myself!! I won't be clingy no more. Just please don't leave me." You beg, your voice trembling with desperation. Michael looks down at you, his eyes boring into yours.
"Sorry, guess we were just never meant to be."
It's been 2 weeks after breaking up with Michael, 2 weeks without hearing his voice, 2 weeks without him telling you he loves you. You sat there alone in your dark, somewhat gloomy bedroom. You're currently looking at old texts between you and Michael. All the promises, all stupid corny texts he would send you. You loved him too fucking much, and look what happened you got your heart broken again. You looked at your most recent texts, tears streaming down your face, your mascara running down your face.
'I love you, schön. I can't wait till I kiss that pretty face of yours again.' Was the last text you got from Michael. Where did it all go wrong??? Why can't someone just love you and just accept that you'd clingy??? Why does everyone have to abandon you??? Leave you??? Why are you always alone???

Dein größter Fehler. (ex boyfriend!Michael Kaiser) [Part 1]
Your biggest mistake.
Synopsis: Surprisingly, it wasn't Kaiser who was your biggest mistake. You were his. At least that's what he says.
"It was nice with the two of us, I know that for sure [...] It was nice with the two of us, that's all that counts - but I was your biggest mistake." - Dein größter Fehler [zero/zero]
Tags: gn!reader, ex boyfriend!Michael Kaiser, toxic relationship
It's been over half a year since you and Kaiser broke up. You broke up. But every time Kaiser talks about you, he pretends to be the one who broke up and presents you as the 'awful ex he should have never dated' and that you were 'his biggest mistake.'
But he's not wrong. You absolutely were.
Oh, what a mistake it was for Kaiser to date you. What a mistake it was to fall for you in the first place. You, someone who wouldn't let him step on you all the time and forced him to see you as an equal rather than someone below him - because that's how it's supposed to be in a relationship.
Did that ever get into Kaiser's head? No.
He was never obvious with it, but rather passive-aggressive. It was barely noticeable during the honeymoon phase, but as soon as that was over, you soon noticed how your (at that time) boyfriend didn't truly see you as an equal. And that's something you didn't want in this relationship. You never let him talk you down and you never accepted ot if he even hinted at seeing you below himself.
But Kaiser always hated it. It hurt his pride and ego.
Kaiser always acts as if your entire relationship was awful. He loves to pretend you were constantly starting fights with him but made him stay in the relationship. But is that how it really went? No, not at all.
In fact, the first months went surprisingly well, considering Kaiser didn't quite see you as an equal to himself at any point in the relationship. It was about half a year into the relationship when things started getting a little rough, but even with issues between you and Kaiser, you were a happy couple. And one year into the relationship, more and more fights happened until the negatives outweighed the positives. After that it was only a matter of time until the breakup.
And throughout all of that, you were way too good for him. You treated him so much better than he deserved - because you loved him. Even through all of Kaiser's irrational thoughts and the way he talked you down, not once did you freak out on him like you should have. You were the one trying to fix things and to make everything right over and over.
Until you realized there's just nothing to fix because Kaiser would never change his mind and never see you on the same level as himself.
And that was when you realized the end could be the only answer.
You ended the relationship and moved on surprisingly quickly. Even though you still loved him for a few weeks after you broke up, knowing how Kaiser only ever saw you below him made processing the breakup so much easier. You just didn't miss him at all.
But Kaiser? It still doesn't seem line he moved on. He's still talking about you and even spreading lies about things that have never happened.
You could care less about the way your ex-boyfriend talks about you, if he didn't use it to turn your friends and other people against you. After all these months, he's still doing it. Maybe because deep inside, he knows he's wrong and you were way too good for him anyways, but he feels the need to convince people otherwise.
Nie genug für dich. [Part 2]

Cornwall 2024 - Tag 20
Hol-la-hi, hol-la-ho, Hol-la-hi-a hi-a hi-a, Hol-la-hia, hol-la-ho, Hol-la-hi, hol-la-ho, Hol-la-hi-a hi-a hi-a, Hol-la-ho ...
Heute geht es ... Richtig!
Good Night!
Angie, Micha und Mister Bunnybear

Character ask: Tamino (The Magic Flute)
No one sent me this ask, I just felt like writing it.
@ariel-seagull-wings, @leporellian
Favorite thing about them: His love for Pamina and the beauty, warmth, and ardor of the music with which he expresses it. I also like productions that make him less of a stalwart paragon and highlight his youthful naiveté and coming-of-age journey.
Least favorite thing about them: The degree of cold sternness he gains as a follower of Sarastro in Act II, of which poor Pamina and Papageno are on the receiving end. Also (and relatedly), his parroting the priests' misogyny in the Act II quintet with Papageno and the Three Ladies.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I can be passionate and hot-blooded.
*I tend to be very trusting.
*I sometimes blindly follow other people's instructions.
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not royalty.
*Where courage is concerned, I'm more like Papageno.
*I'm female and I don't consider "manhood" an ideal.
Favorite line: The text of "Dies Bildni ist bezauberndt schön."
brOTP: Sarastro and his priests; maybe Papageno too, but only in productions that let him be warmer toward him and less aloof and impatient than he sometimes comes across.
OTP: Pamina.
nOTP: The Queen of the Night.
Random headcanon: When he eventually rules as a "wise monarch" (whether as Sarastro's successor, or of his own father's empire, or however you think it will happen), Pamina will be his equal partner and co-ruler, but her role will chiefly be spiritual and philosophical leadership, while Tamino's will be worldly/political leadership. In effect, they'll both be heirs to Sarastro, but Tamino will embody the "king" aspect of Sarastro's style of ruling, while Pamina embodies the "priest" aspect.
Unpopular opinion: I'm not sure if this is unpopular, but... If the tenor in the role stands like a statue during Pamina's "Ach, ich fühl's," without conveying through facial expressions and body language that Pamina's anguish is breaking his heart, and if he does nothing to express his pain and remorse after she leaves (e.g. starting to run after her only to sadly restrain himself, collapsing to the floor, and/or breaking down in tears), he had better have a magnificent voice, or else he doesn't belong on the stage.
Song I associate with them:
"Dies Bildnis ist bezauberndt schön"
youtube
"Wie stark ist nicht dein Zauberton"
youtube
Favorite picture of them:
Georg Maikl, early 20th century.
Fritz Wunderlich, 1960s.
Josef Köstlinger, Ingmar Bergman film, 1975.
Unknown tenor (I just love how innocent and happy he looks, and I love the elegant animal costumes).
Michael Schade with Andrea Rost as Pamina, LA Opera, 2002.
Joshua Kohl, Sarasota Opera, 2010.
John Tessier, Seattle Opera, 2011.
Mhlekazi Andy Mosiea in the production by South Africa's Isango Ensemble, 2014.
Alek Shrader, Metropolitan Opera, 2014.
Pasqual Charbonneau, Opéra de Québec, 2018.

Tag 25 20.04.2024 Seetag
Abendstimmung:

top 5 male and female performances from things you've watched this year
Female:
Sheryl Lee as Laura Palmer, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. How her career didn't blow up after FWWM I'll never understand. She's AMAZING, my #1 Scream Queen❤️
Margarete Schön as Kriemhild of Burgund, Die Nibelungen. Her transformation from Siegfried to Kriemhild's Revenge... People were killed (literally)!
Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, Sunset Boulevard. She's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment. Now come awn now!
Maria Falconetti as Jeanne D'Arc, The Passion of Joan of Arc. The immense pathos this movie has which is in large part due to Falconetti's mesmerizing performance.
Olivia de Havilland as Catherine Sloper, The Heiress. Another amazing transformation performance.
Male:
Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, The Godfather part II. Make fun of me for being A plebian who only watched the Godfather movies this year all you want, I have the 4K steelbooks. And they sent me on a Pakino binge my letterboxd stats will never recover from.
Peter O'Toole as T.E Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia. Need I say more.
John Travolta as Jack Terry, Blow Out. The movie that made me realize Travolta is a great fucking actor when he has the right project and director.
Tony Curtis as Joe/Josephine, Some Like It Hot. I was very impressed by how not only funny and realized but also very distinctive each of his three "roles" were (Joe/Josephine/Shell Oil Jr.).
Jack Lemmon as C.C Baxter, The Apartment. Just the sweetest guy. Lemmon balances charm, witty self-deprecation, and tenderness so well.
