Jarod : "Salut, je m'appelle Jarod... ça va aller maintenant."
Mlle Parker : "Ce sont des esprits supérieurs mais tôt ou tard ils font des erreurs bêtes."
Sydney : "Inutile d'utiliser l'ascenseur.

No, seriously, am I the only one who feels some weird romantic/sexual tension going on in this scene from Pirates of Silicon Valley?
Especially at the end, when Jobs is sitting next to Gates, his shirt unbuttoned, his head leaning as he looks with a smile into Bill's eyes, listening to his soothing words?

Ohh Max is doing a medical drama? I’m going to be very intrigued on what a medical drama looks like on streaming where you can get so much more graphic 👀

Warner Bros. TV has responded to a lawsuit filed Tuesday by Michael Crichton‘s widow, calling the legal move “baseless” and arguing that the studio’s upcoming medical procedural “The Pitt” is very different from “ER.”
“The lawsuit filed by the Crichton Estate is baseless, as ‘The Pitt’ is a new and original show,” the studio said in a statement. “Any suggestion otherwise is false, and Warner Bros. Television intends to vigorously defend against these meritless claims.”
The swift Warner Bros. response comes after the Crichton estate accused exec producer John Wells of a “personal betrayal,” claiming that he and star Noah Wyle came up with “The Pitt” after the Crichton estate blocked their plans to reboot “ER.” “‘The Pitt’ is ‘ER,’” the lawsuit states. “It’s not like ‘ER.’ It’s not kind of ‘ER.’ It’s not sort of ‘ER.’ It is ‘ER’ with the exact same executive producer, writer, star, production companies, studio and network as the planned ‘ER’ reboot.”
But that’s where both sides disagree. Insiders note that the real similarity between “ER” and “The Pitt” comes down to a show set in an emergency room from Wells and starring Noah Wyle — but beyond that, Wells is focusing on different themes and a different tone than what “ER” did.
Not only is it understood that the story structure will differ in how each episode unfolds, but the show’s look, feel and sound are believed to be taking a direction that differs entirely from “ER.” The setting is Pittsburgh instead of the Chicago hospital on “ER.” There are also no repeat characters and none of the iconography of “ER.”
The show will run on streamer Max with 15 episodes rather than the original 22-episode (or more) seasons of “ER” on NBC — and being on a streamer means “The Pitt” will also deal with more explicit themes.
“Another advantage that you have in doing these shows for streaming and you don’t have the same kind of broadcast standards that you have to meet,” Wells told Variety in May for a story about streamers tapping into more procedural programming. “There is a willingness to have a more adult version of what was able under FCC rules to be done on broadcast television. So, one of the things that we got excited about with ‘The Pitt’ is we could tell medical stories in which they actually look like what really happens in the hospital — and the way in which people actually interact with the healthcare system…. I think you’re going to see that you can put a very sophisticated both visually and in your storytelling version of these programs this programming on to streaming platforms.”
Insiders confirm that Wells had initially approached Warner Bros. TV about revisiting the medical space in the post-COVID era, and what has happened to hospitals and emergency rooms during and after the pandemic — different themes from “ER.” The initial thought was revisiting the “ER” franchise, but when a deal couldn’t be made with the Crichton estate, the producers and the studio opted to continue developing a medical show without the “ER” franchise or its legacy.
Others have pointed out that medical procedurals are a common TV occurrence — the year that “ER” premiered on NBC, directly opposite it on CBS was another hospital show set in the Windy City, “Chicago Hope.”
Wyle stars in the series about the “frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh,” per the official logline. Also starring are Tracy Ifeachor (“Treason,” “Showtrial”), Patrick Ball (“Law & Order,” “The XIXth”), Supriya Ganesh (“Grown-ish,” “Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game”), Fiona Dourif (“Child’s Play” franchise, “The Blacklist”), Taylor Dearden (“American Vandal,” “Sweet/Vicious”), Isa Briones (“Star Trek: Picard,” “Goosebumps”), Gerran Howell (“Suspicion,” “Catch-22”), Shabana Azeez (“In Limbo,” “Birdeaters”) and Katherine LaNasa (“The Campaign,” “Truth Be Told”).
R. Scott Gemmill will write the first episode and executive produce the series alongside Wyle; John Wells of John Wells Productions (JWP); and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan and Michael Hissrich. Warner Bros. Television, where JWP is under an overall deal, is the studio.

I know this isn't directly Cam or Noel related, but I posted the other day about all of the Shameless-adjacent guests who'd appeared on the R.Rated podcast and how it was bending my brain trying to figure out what the connection was between all of them. More after the break for anyone interested.
I began looking at the host more closely to see if she had any association to these people. She really doesn't, as far as I could tell. But, then, I came across two interesting pieces to the puzzle that may tie it all together. Her name is Priscilla Emprechtinger and she teased in her final podcast episode back in December that she was starting a new job and would be announcing it soon.
Then, in March she posted a pic from the Warner Bros. lot.
A few days after that, she posted two pics in her story that I hadn't paid close attention to at the time, but they are photo booth images from her laptop—one from when she worked as a Covid compliance officer at Paramount and one from what's apparently her new role at Warner Bros. Now, I had the chance to look more closely, and what does it say on the paper she's holding? The Pitt, Calendar V2. The Pitt is the name of the new Noah Wyle show that John Wells announced a week ago, which Michael Hissrich will be producing.
So, what I'm thinking is that she's been working as Michael's assistant since as far back as his podcast appearance in April 2023. The writer's strike began in May, followed by the actor's strike in July, both of which ended in October and November, respectively. This explains the large time gap in between that interview and her announcement of her new job—there was a long work stoppage. My guess is that in the months during the strike, Priscilla had Elise, Brian Roedel, Monte Mauro, and Jessica Damouni as guests, because she likely met them through Michael and his association to Kate Miner, Noel, Layla, etc.
As a side note to this, I do think Michael Hissrich and Shini Wark (the woman Layla is embracing in this photo👇🏻) are dating.
I located an image 👇🏻 that appears to support this, and also, the boys that were surrounding Noel in that birthday photo are probably all friends with Shini's son. I was able to face match at least one of them, but I won't post names or faces here because they're minors.
Of course I can't speak to whether or not some Shameless actors will be cast in The Pitt, but we can hope. 🤞🏻

Rules: list eight shows for your followers to get to know you better.
Tagged by @alethiometry !
(These are not in any particular order, just ordered as I think of them lol)
1. The Last of Us — yeah I’m still riding the post season high (or low I guess), but Bella Ramsey blew me away as Ellie. And Pedro Pascal as Joel was even better than I’d hoped for. Their chemistry on screen was absolutely everything and I’ll never get over the two cold opens on episodes one and two. I’ll also never eat a mushroom again (jk I had one the other day!)
2. Andor — I put off watching this for way too long but I’m sort of glad I did because then I could binge it all at once. I loved getting to see Diego Luna’s nuance to a man who didn’t care be turned into a true Rebel. I loved seeing the struggle of Mon Mothma in trying to balance her two worlds of the Imperial Senate and the Rebellion. I loved seeing the struggles of her family life and also how everything Must Be White in her home. Plus every time she was on screen, I had to giggle at Imperial Security Yennefer bc her voice will always be Yennefer’s.
3. New Girl— this show (until the last season starts) is my comfort show. Winston and Schmidt and Nick 100% of the reason why I watch it. Yes, Jessica is funny too but she did not make me cry laughing like the guys did.
4. Chernobyl — sometimes you watch a show and it just sticks with you forever. That’s how I feel about Chernobyl. It was eerie, heart wrenching and terrifying while doing nothing but talking. I think about something from that show at least weekly so I feel like it’s haunting me.
5. Kenobi — yeah yeah I’m a Star Wars nerd. Some of this show was a little wonky at times but listen. Little Leia, little Luke. Vader with half his helmet missing. “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker, I did.” PTSD for Obi-Wan. Beru and Owen Lars. It honestly had all I wanted and needed and I thank them for that. Also Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen getting to work together again 😭
6. House of the Dragon — I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the first season after GoT was so terrible in the end. But I’m a sucker for costumes and drama so I guess it makes sense. Plus it’s the Sunday night gathering at a friend’s house when it’s on and it’s always better watching with friends and beer.
7. ER — bringing it back old school!! I watched this as it came out with my mom and it was a bonding thing. We still talk about it and sometimes if I can’t find anything else to watch, I put it on. It introduced me to Michael Crichton and led me down a wonderful rabbit hole of his books starting with Jurassic Park and I was never the same. Also a baby George Clooney, Noah Wyle and Goran Visnjic.
8. Hilda — I started watching with Kin and continued on my own lol. Another role for Bella Ramsey, I just love the fantastical world they live in and her mom who just wants to be sure her daughter is safe and lives in that weird world.
I’m tagging @nightincarnate, @i-will-be-your-krantt, @turquoiseowls, @blosmv, @wizardnightmares and @tiktakclack
