I call it the Paragon to Renegade Commander Shepard scene.

You can feel everything in this scene, as some innocent kid gets blown off screen by the invading Reapers: utter shock, pain/sadness, anger and THEN the determination to fucking end it all. It's his role, and he'll do it, for all the innocent lives at stake. THIS is Commander Shepard.
