TMA S3 makes me want to cry and like shake around the characters in a fun box. Anyways hi!!! I’m here like 5 mins later.
MAG 102:
“I’ve been trying to give you the information you need”
“Sure, when you’re not bashing its head in with a pipe” GAGGED.
I want to know what happened though with Helen and Jon???? Like did they talk, what did Jon do?? I need to know. Is Michael like fully dead? I guess he can’t die really. I can’t fully grasp the situation with Michael-Helen-The Spiral.
Anyways, I guess that’s why Not! Sasha was going to the wax museum. That’s where the Unknowing will happen. Cannot blame Melanie for trying to kill Elias again. I’d do it too. So, this French guy had like a pretty similiar situation to Jane Prentiss, with the whole “bugs love me and I love them, etc”. Crazy Gerard and Gertrude worked together??? The weirdest duo ever. Goth guy and old woman. I wanna know Gerard Keays deal. I need to hear his voice
Not much on MAG 103. Guess that’s why Gertrude went to New Zealand. Jon is cooking up a plan with Daisy and I’m praying it goes well. Another meat statement. Whatever the meat entity is, I want nothing to do with it. I also realized that when Leitner mentioned his assistant getting consumed by like a pile of meat, that’s like connected to MAG 18. Toby Carlisle. I’ll edit that post. (EDIT 9/2: I just realized when reading over MAG 58 that the cannibalistic guy is named Benjamin Carlisle. Jesus. This meat theme went through generations. Ill edit that post as well)
MAG 104: Sneak Preview
I hate this so much, I want to like give Tim a nice blanket. Everyone in this podcast needs a damn blanket.
The fact the theatre was destroyed by fire twice makes me think The Desolation had something to do with it cause y’know fire. The clown being Joseph Grimaldi is interesting. A real person being applied to the podcast, I think that’s cool. I mean bros dead it’s a free real estate. Also I’m a bit worried about Tim and his “mild” suicidal tendencies now.
Didn’t glean much from MAG 105 but a lot of death (of course, it’s about war) and like the undead. Xiaoling was sweet. Interesting the institute has a sister institute?? I hope they come up more
MAG 106: A Matter of Perspective
Oh hey, it’s the other guy from Personal Space! Apparently he didn’t have a better time than Carter Chilcot. Pretty sure this is another like The Vast statement y’know. The whole nihilism thing. I want to see Manuela’s story because it was said her fingers were burned, her eyes were red and she was withdrawn I believe so clearly something happened with her. No idea what was blocking the stars.
Elias. I swear, I swear I hate this man so much 😭 the fact Mealnies dad was in Ivy Meadows (MAG 36) is unlucky. Smoke inhalation would’ve been the better death. God I love Melanie like leave her alone Elias
Anyways! That’s all I got. I stopped taking my daily synopsis’s of every episode because school started up and while I love this podcast, I got things to do unfortunately 💀 so I’m just relying on my brain and my 10/10 memory.

My Creepypasta but The Magnus Archives style AU
Okay so this is an old AU that I would like to explain and write, but my street cat is currently sick and he's requeiring all my time and energy and that's okay!
There'll be only character roles and AU explainations in this post.
Character roles and which TMA character they match;
Judge Angels//Alice "Daisy" Tonner, Police officer called upon to deal with paranormal cases
Nurse Ann//Annabelle Cane, Avatar of The Web
Zero//Basira Hussain, Police officer called upon to deal with paranormal cases
Vladimir and Zachary//Breekon and Hope, Mysterious deliverymen and servants of The Stranger
Slenderman//Elias Bouchard , Head of The Magnus Institute
Mary Vaughn//Georgie Barker, "Host of the What The Ghost?" podcast
Ben Drowned//Gerard Keay, Mary Keay’s son and acquaintance of Gertrude Robinson
Rouge//Gertrude Robinson , Former head archivist of The Magnus Institute
Nina The Killer//Helen Richardson, Real estate agent merged with the Distortion
Lulu//Jane Prentiss, Avatar of The Corruption
Masky//Jonathan Sims, Head archivist of The Magnus Institute
Clockwork//Julia Montauk, Hunter and daughter of Robert Montauk
Homicidal Liu//Jurgen Leitner, Collector of paranormal books
Hoodie//Martin Blackwood, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Jane The Killer//Melanie King, Proprietor of the "Ghost Hunt UK" Youtube Channel
Laughing Jack//Michael Shelley, Gertrude Robinson's assistant who was merged with The Distortion
Laughing Jill//Nikola Orsinov, Plastic mannequin created from Joseph Grimaldi
Zalgo//Peter Lukas, Avatar of The Lonely and captain of the Tundra
Kate The Chaser//Sasha James, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Trendderman//Simon Fairchild , Avatar of The Vast(edit:he's changed from Offenderman to Trenderman)
Ticci Toby//Timothy Stoker, Archival assistant at The Magnus Institute
Eyeless Jack//Trevor Herbert, Self-proclaimed vampire hunter
Notes;
-Creepypasta characters, which are the equivalent of The Magnus Archives characters, were selected without caring about gender and the character whose personality is the most similar with TMA role was replaced with creepypasta character.
-The terms like The Stranger, The Vast, The Spiral, The Buried and blah blah and being an avatar etc. will be explained in future as in the podcast.
-Although I'm trying not to go out of personality to a large extent, there will be many things that do not fit because this is a completely different universe.
-Most of the Creepypasta characters are not killers, and some external appearance features have been arranged accordingly. If you don't like it, you don't need to read it because it's an AU. It's that simple.
-This AU is set in London, just like the podcast.
-If there is a thing that you are uncomfortable with, just don't read it. TMA is a podcast series full of really interesting horror stories, and if you're feeling uncomfortable, it's quite normal but please don't push yourself too much.
- All statements in the 200 episodes will not be mentioned in this AU. Only as much of it as will help you understand the AU will be edited into the AU.
-The dialogue is not exactly the same as in the podcast, because it will vary depending on the characters, but the critical scenes may be the same.
-I think that's it, have fun.
-And for you to have a better idea, The Magnus Archives description;
"The Magnus Archives is a weekly horror fiction anthology podcast examining what lurks in the archives of the Magnus Institute, an organisation dedicated to researching the esoteric and the weird. Join new head archivist Jonathan Sims as he attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of supernatural statements up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team.
Individually, they are unsettling. Together they begin to form a picture that is truly horrifying because as they look into the depths of the archives, something starts to look back…"

Okay consider: Jmart time travel AU but they go back to the old guard, Gertrude as Archivist, Michael as an Archival Assistant, Eric still working at the institute and Gerry as an infant, and a young man named Elias about to interview with current institute head, James Wright.
It just brings up so many fascinating ideas.
John and Gertrude being able to actually talk?
Debating what to do about Michael and Elias? John confronting the fact that Michael and Elias are also victims, not what he knew them as yet, and that he can do something about it?
Hell, even things like trying to hunt down Joseph Grimaldi to keep Tim away from the Institute?

Magazine Diaphanes _ 11 Surrogacies out now Redaktion: Marie Glassl, Michael Heitz, Hednrik Rohlf
Myths and visions of motherhood and fathering, brings together artistic and theoretical positions on reproduction and communication, gender and genus, addressing and conception.
DIAPHANES 11 orbits around the “ambiguities of the maternal significate” (Kittler) and speculates about the idea of humanity as an “absolute family”(Novalis).
This issue explores practices of human and non-human substitution, plays with the myths and visions of motherhood and procreation, gathers artistic and theoretical positions on reproduction and communication, gender and genus, addressing and conception.
What claims the place of the nuclear family in the face of hybrid kinships and social freezing? What could new elective kinships be in times of chatbots and pseudonymisation? Is this the time for surrogate mother tongues and extra-human rhetorics of surrogation?
Sophie Lewis claims a gestational communism and hunts our grannies. Barbara Vinken reflects on spiritual motherhood, Luciana Parisi on human automata and gendered proxies. For Zuzana Cela, language is a foreign body that can be invaginated. Werner Hamacher strolls through mother museum, which is also a brothel. Arantzazu Saratxaga Arregi discovers the evolutionary  disobedience of the girl and Thierry de Duve a completely different pleasure with Joseph. Rudi Nuss tells of the new love for pregnant men, Allison Grimaldi Donahue of bad kinship in the house of language, M. NourbeSe Philip of a foreign fear. Leda Bourgogne, Lucile Boiron, Lena Kunz and Emma Waltraud Howes occupy the place of these attributions with their images.

A few things I've picked up from reading a few pages of Evolution of Insects (David Grimaldi and Michael S. Engel, 2005), plus highlights
→ larvae/complete metamorphosis (Holometabola insects) have some kind of evolutionary advantage that we aren't sure of, but I didn't get to the part where they explain it yet
→ insects evolved flight just once, at least 100 million years before anyone else did
→ approximately 85% of plants with flowers are pollinated by insects, and nearly half of all insects directly interact with plants
→ "the inspiring diversity of flowers is due in large part to insects lured to them"
→ insects cause so much damage in pandemics (see: plague, typhus, chagas, sleeping sickness, malaria, yellow fever), and prompted the human adaptions of sickle cell anemia and delta-32 gene,
→ therefore, the insects that carried those microbes are the only metazoans known to have affected the evolution of humans
→ "species comprise a real unit and not a category defined at a somewhat arbitrary level, like genera and families"
→ this one fly is, arguably, "the best known eukaryotic organism"

“Program for Tchin-Tchin, The Barn Dinner Theatre, April 1967 Unidentified photographer [Rehearsal photographs from Tchin-Tchin] April 1967 Gelatin silver prints Robert De Niro's acting script for Tchin-Tchin, A Comedy in Two Acts by Sidney Michaels, based on the play by François Billetdoux (Samuel French, 1962) Robert De Niro Papers 169.15, 326.11, 169.15 Like many actors just starting out, De Niro auditioned for roles and sought experience anywhere he could. In the mid-1960s he performed in at least two "dinner theatre" productions. Dinner theatre combined a restaurant meal with a play. The actors appearing in the play served as waitstaff. The concept was developed in the 1950s and became immensely popular in the 1960s. The Barn Theatre franchise in particular grew to 27 theatres from New York to Georgia and as far west as Texas. Theatres in the Barn Theatre circuit were decorated in a farm motif and featured a "Magic Stage" that rose and disappeared into the ceiling between acts and lowered to reveal the stage set for the next scene. In 1967 De Niro was cast in the role of Caesario Grimaldi in Tchin-Tchin, an adaptation by Sidney Michaels of the play by François Billetdoux, and toured with the play through the Barn Theatre circuit. Reviewers often singled out De Niro's performance for praise.”

Celine finds herself in the hospital, Michael Grimaldi by her side, unable to remember how she came to be in the hospital. All anyone would tell her is that there had been a murderer stalking the streets of New Orleans and he would have taken her…

Don Falcone (Roy Scheider) gives Jack (Gary Oldman) a philosophical lesson in pacifism before threatening him.
FILM DESCRIPTION: New York cop Jack Grimaldi (Gary Oldman) has a nice home, a stunning wife Natalie (Annabella Sciorra), and a sweet, if stupid mistress, Sheri (Juliette Lewis). Jack also earns extra money by betraying mob witnesses to Mafia-boss Don Falcone (Roy Scheider). Assigned to guard the viciously sexy Russian-born hit woman, Mona Demarkov (Lena Olin), Jack is almost instantly seduced and allows Mona to escape. Falcone orders Jack to find and kill Mona, and threatens to murder him if he fails. Mona offers to pay Jack to help her eliminate Falcone and fake her own death. Several plot twists and turns later, Jack is left with his life in shambles.
CREDITS: TM & © MGM (1993) Cast: Gary Oldman, Roy Scheider Director: Peter Medak Producers: Eric Fellner, Michael Flynn, Hilary Henkin, Paul Webster, Tim Bevan Screenwriter: Hilary Henkin
