Flash Gordon was released on December 5, 1980. While the opening scenes modernized Flash Gordon (Sam J Jones) to 1980 and changed him from a polo player to a football player, once he and Dale Arden (Melody Anderson) met with scientist and inventor Dr Hans Zarkov (Topol), the costumes, sets, props, and characters took on the look of the Alex Raymond comic strip from the mid 1930's to the early 1940's. As with the comic strip, Flash, Dale, and Zarkov left our world to go to space to confront the man who was threatening the Earth, Ming the Merciless (Max von Sydow). Aiding the earthlings, were Prince Barin (Timothy Dalton) and Prince Vultan (Brian Blessed). Ming also had his own alies in his daughter Princess Aura (Ornella Muti), and evil henchmen Klytus (Peter Wyngarde) and General Kala (Mariangela Melato). The movie was famous for the powerful score and soundtrack by the rock band Queen. ("Flash Gordon", Film, Event)

There’s a lot of characters in star trek, and therefore a lot of moms! I often try to include most series, but this time snw, prodigy, and ent didn’t get an example. And, I left one of my own favorites off - K’ehleyr, Alexander’s mom. I’m sorry if I left your favorite off.

Also note that - like real life - sometimes Star Trek parents make bad choices, and it’s ok to have a variety of feelings about that. Some people may find some mistakes understandable and others may not.

10. what is the longest amount of time you’ve let a draft rest before you finished it?

I am pretty sure I've taken years on some of my fics. I knwo for sure I took like two years to finish a BMC one and some from that time are STILL festering

18. if you keep them, share a deleted sentence or paragraph from a published fic

I don't keep many but I do have this scrapped opening paragraph from the oneshot 'I Do Adore'

It all started with the Squip, like pretty much everything in Jeremy’s life had since the beginning of Junior year. 

A distorted voice echoing menacingly in his barin, dialling a number without even realsiing it, a panicked call to his best friend - who came barelling into his best friend rambling something about traffic and the backroom at Spencer’s gifts, before Jeremy was forcefully shoved onto his floor, and Michael started piling pillows around him, hanging up blankets and fairy lights in practiced movements.

You can probably tell from the typos but I cut it out literally immediately and rewrote it

22. do you ever worry about public reaction to what you’re writing? how do you get past that?

Wellll it depends. If it's a fic I know is going to be really popular, or one that won't get much traction at all (*cough* playride fics *cough*) then I worry a bit about if people will like it or not- ultimately I think it's just important to remember that I'm writing these fics for fun, because I want to, and if people don't like them that's not my problem

By • Olalekan Fagbade BREAKING; Four suspects linked to murder of DPO shot dead by Police officers Men of the Rivers State police command have reportedly killed no fewer than four gunmen suspected to be members of the cult gang that killed Ahoada Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim recently in the state. The state Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, disclosed this while parading some suspects at the Command’s headquarters at Moscow Road Port Harcourt, the state capital recently. He said: "On the 10th of September, 2023, the police acting on actionable intelligence invaded the hideout of David Okpara, popularly called 2Baba and his gang in Odeimude, community Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State." CP Emeka noted that the Ahoada Area Command and other tactical units mobilized and stormed the forest where the hoodlums hid. He said on sighting the police, the criminals engaged the police operatives in a fierce gun battle, leading to the murder of four of the cultists while some sustained bullet injuries and the arrest of three. CP Emeka also disclosed that the CP strike force arrested two male suspects, Chibuike Iroaha and Michael Ibe in a black Toyota Camry at Igwurita community in Ikwerre Local Government Area and recovered three locally made pistols. According to the CP, the Command also arrested Thankgod Barine, who allegedly tried to rob one Sam Saturday at Deyoor Kira in Tai Local Government Area. One locally made gun was recovered from the suspect. The CP said, “We might have had some setbacks by the killing of one of my Divisional Police Officers, the DPO of Ahoada, but will not be deterred in the fight against crime and criminality. “And that is why I’m calling and telling you today that while we were on a look out for those who gruesomely murdered the Superintendent of Police, SP Bako, we are also doing a lot in trying to make sure we give our best in making Rivers State a more veritable environment, for protection of life and properties. “The Command has achieved yet another victory in the struggle against crime and criminality, which are the arrest of suspects and recovery of suspected stolen vehicles and firearms," he added. #FoursuspectslinkedtomurderofdpokilledbyPolicemen
