Tim woke up with a jolt and a yelp when he felt someone big hoist him over their shoulder. “Lemme go!” Tim yelled, banging his fists against the leather jacket beneath him. He struggled for a moment, kicking his socked feet until a familiar voice cut through his panic. 

“You and I need to have a talk about Mycroft, kid,”Jason said, and Tim froze at the sternness in his tone. He knew, Tim panicked, remaining frozen in his arms. Jason knew he was Mycroft, didn’t he? “Fine, fine, just,”Tim panted, fisting the jacket below him,”Just let me- let me go.” “No way, squirt. You aren’t running from me again,”Jason scoffed, startling Tim when he started to walk towards the door. “We’re gonna get breakfast at the diner, and you’re going to tell me everything you know about Mycroft.” Oh, Tim paused. Red Hood didn’t know he was Mycroft yet. Just.. that he knew him. Tim could work with that. He did know himself. “Can I put my shoes on first?” Tim protested, wiggling his feet. He winced as the one with the cut on it shot a bit of pain through his foot, but ignored it. He’d been through worse. “Nope,”Jason said, popping the ‘p’. He transferred Tim to hang under his arm like a football as he walked out onto the sidewalk. “No shoes means it’s easier for me to catch you if you try to run again,”Jason said, and Tim rolled his eyes. That won’t stop me from trying, he thought wryly.
