How was meeting the wife?

Actually really chill. She was nice and her partner was also there so the four of us all passed a joint around while she made us all dinner and we chatted a bit. But I got to spend most of my night alone with Panda, which was great and now that we’ve broken the ice on this polycule, I think we’re all gonna be a lot more comfortable sharing the house and stuff during overnights. Things look bright for our future. 🌻

the way Nick celebrates Tao’s first kiss with Elle in Paris, alongside Charlie and Isaac. when Tao admits to Nick that he was wrong to assume Nick is straight. when Nick intentionally asks Tao how his day went with Elle—the way Tao responds with a single word, then changes his mind, and chooses to open up. how Nick is 1000% cool when Tao gives Charlie that cheeky kiss during truth or dare. While I was out with Mijnheer yesterday running errands, I picked up a dozen lovely peach flame roses for Husbeast. He was all 'aww shucks' and very adorable about getting flowers. (Husbeast and I routinely get each other roses during ren faire, and sparsely throughout other times of the year, not just for special occasions, but it had been a while since I picked him up some.) (And Mijnheer and I had a convo about how his GF has never gotten him flowers in a decade... I sent him roses every day he was at Faire, and sent them to her as well when she was there.) (I used to a be a rose seller. It's a whole thing at MDRF.)

Then this morning, Husbeast brought us up breakfast in bed. Cold pizza (leftover from night snacks with Mijnheer) for me because he *knows* me. A frozen bagel for him. Pomegranate and grapes and beverages and my morning meds. He then proceeded to work on a seizing muscle in my calf with our massage gun while I lay there eating my cold pizza. This man... 13+ years and I still adore him. We finished nomming breakfast, and lay in bed snuggling and talking about all sorts of things. Including rehashing, with hilarity, bits and bobs of Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, which we finally took the time to watch last night.

Tonight we go to a birthday party for one of Husbeast's girlfriends. All of her other partners will be there. All of this is to say... yay for happy poly moments and amazing partners and metas in my life.
