Starting My Life Again

Life is like a huge puzzle. Step by step, day by day, God is working and building, creating a beautiful exhibit out of us. We are a work in progress. Each piece of life perfectly fits - good and bad, easy and difficult - to shape us and guide us on our uniquely individual paths. God is building  a masterpiece out of us, and one day will be able to see it and be totally amazed. Don't look at the mess you are in now, give yourself completely to Christ, He can create something beautiful out of it, a true masterpiece. 

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

thinking about a fantasy setting where the equivalent of the common cold is essentially harmless at the end, with no significant risks attached, but the symptoms themselves are wretched and messy and just absolutely miserable. where a normal cold involves thick congestion alongside a relentless, endlessly running nose, thick yellow snot that dribbles down constantly, and absolutely explodes out of afflicted noses with frequent, infectious sneezes. any handkerchief, or gods forbid tissue, is saturated within a minute, and it just doesn't stop. anybody with this illness feels and looks absolutely terrible. their voice is nearly unintelligibly congested, with deep shadows under their eyes, their mouth hanging open,a bright red nose, and they're hopelessly contagious. but of course, it’s not worth staying home over - it’s only a common cold.

Going insane over a sickie with a cold (or maybe the flu) so bad they had to sleep with a congested nose. They let out a soft snore and even some coughs from how stuffed up they were. As the night passed on, the character's cold only gets worse and they went from occasionally sneezing in their sleep, to having constant ones. They keep sniffling and hitching, though they cant keep their eyes open due to the paracetamol they consumed.

"Hhh- sndff HH-Heh'KSHEW!" The sickie groaned after the sudden explosion, this was the loudest and the most painful sneeze that night. Their partner woke up to their lover struggling and quickly pulled them into their chest, letting them sneeze into it. The sickie sneezes relentlessly they felt like they couldn't breathe.

"Ihk'SHEW! Ts'chu! Ihk'stch-T'chew- Hehh-" It just kept going on and on. There was now snot dripping from the nose down to their chin but they couldn't even have the time to care. Their partner can only coo the sickie and wiped their face gently with a handkerchief.

"I juhh- Hih'KSCH! Heh'KSHEW! sdrf ughh I jusd wandt it to stob.." They whined with a croaky voice, eyes watery and just so full of cold. Their lover just gently wiped their tears and kissed their cheek lovingly. "Shhh, lets save your voice for later." They say softly rubbing the sickie's back to calm them down.
