This meme makes me giggle every year when I see it, so it's high time I did my own version. I probably put a bit more effort into a silly meme redraw than was strictly necessary, but I also haven't done a nice drawing of my husband's character Abysm in a while, so why not? Since Hanukkah and Xmas are the same day I couldn't resist doing a little edit of my favorite xmas memes!

In the process I also learned a bit about the origin of the image.

I wanted to credit the original artist. But couldn't find their Tumblr and their website no longer functions. And per the article they were pretty upset by redraws without attribution and people stripping out the watermark.

Tumblr user Bekkie, I hope you'll forgive the edit if you ever see it. I hope you'll receive the attempt at credit in the spirit for which it was intended. Thank you for the image that has brought me and my friends a lot of joy over the years.
