Kuala Lumpur's Merdeka 118 - the world's 2nd tallest tower at 678.9m - was officially inaugurated by the Malaysian King on January 10, 2024.

It will have among others - a hotel, skydecks, glass-floored observation, textile museum and a seven-storey retail mall amid the historic Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara near one of the city's oldest streets - Jalan Sultan.

தற்போதைய காலகட்டத்தில் உலகில் அனைத்திலுமே போட்டி நிலவுகிறது. சிறிய விடயங்களிலிருந்து பெரிய விடயங்கள் வரை எல்லாவற்றிலும் போட்டி இருந்துகொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது. அந்தவகையில் உலகில் உயரமான கட்டிடங்கள் (Tallest Buildings) என்ற அடிப்படையிலும் போட்டி நிகழ்கிறது.

தனது நாட்டை உலகளாவிய ரீதியில் பெருமைபட வைக்கும் ஒரு நோக்கமாகவும் இது அமைகிறது. உலகில் அதிக உயரமான கட்டிடங்களை கொண்ட நாடு சீனா ஆகும்.

10. சீனா ஷுன் (China Zun)

2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் மாதம் 19 ஆம் திகதி இதன் அமைப்பு பணிகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த கட்டிடத்தின் அனைத்து பணிகளும் 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு முடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன்.

இதன் உயரம் 527.7 மீட்டர் (1731 அடி 4 அங்குலம்) ஆகும். இக்கட்டிடம் சீனாவின் பீஜிங் (Beijing) என��ம் நகரத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

இக்கட்டிடத்தில் 108 மாடிகள் உள்ளன. இக்கட்டிடம் சீனாவின் பண்டைய மது கொள்கலனின் வடிவத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கட்டிட பணிகள் முடிவிற்கு பிறகு காரியாலயங்கள், ஆடம்பர மனைகள் மற்றும் ஹோட்டல்கள் கொண்ட கலவையான பயன்பாட்டு கட்டிடமாக உபயோகிக்கப்படும்.

9. டியான்ஜின் சிடிஎஃப் நிதி மையம் (Tianjin CTF Finance Centre)

இக்கட்டிடம் சீனாவின் டியான்ஜின் எனும் நகரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு இதன் நிர்மாண வேலைகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதன் கட்டுமான பணிகள் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டளவில் முடிவடைந்துள்ளது.

இது 530 மீட்டர் (1739 அடி) உயரம் கொண்டது. இதில் 97 மாடிகளுடன் 4 நிலத்தடி மாடிகளும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இதற்காக 81 உயர்த்திகள் (Elevator) பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. இக்கட்டிடத்தில் ஹோட்டல், மனைகள், அறைகள் மற்றும் காரியாலயங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

Construction work at Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) Merdeka 118 has been delayed by roughly two to three months due to restrictive measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Prior to the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) on March 18 2020, the soon-to-be tallest skyscraper in South-East Asia was nearing 50 percent completion. The Merdeka 118 tower overlooks two national landmarks, Stadium Negara and Stadium Merdeka, where Malaysia’s independence was declared in 1957. Merdeka118 has been selected as Archicad 24’s signature project.
