honestly i dont even think i care about putting any specific name to any particular diagnosis for myself at this time. brains disorder is brain disorders man. i just cant see how it would matter what specific ~name~ someone assigns to Your Problems, when targeting the symptoms is pretty much always gonna be the best course of action for all of them anyway.? like why not just skip the middleman and address the symptoms directly . wouldnt that be a better approach over "well you could have 'brainsdisorder', but you could also have elusive ''looks like brainsdisorder' disorder', so watch out! but thankfully, the treatments are similar" like huh whuh. why does that distinction even matter in the first place then. truly WHO give a shit
#to the devils advocate: i know that realistically diagnoses are crucially important in securing accommodations and assistance.#not what im talking about.#im talking at the educational standard's level like Why would two virtually the same disorders be considered distinct#on a fundamental level like Why Does It Matter to even Categorize mental health issues like this in the first place#why say many words 'oh you have problems disorder + heres how to fix your symptoms' when few word 'heres how to fix your symptoms' do trick#like just imagine its a perfect world where 'insurance doesnt try to get out of doing as much assistance as they can'#instead of the 'lol. good fucking luck bro' we get today#sorry i feel like im way overexplaining my angle here im just scared of posting takes on the internet since tumblr ~2015#anyway. still havent reallyy gotten into the swing of being online again#im getting a little bit better with discord though so hopefully tumblr will follow soon. lol

Why You Should Limit Your To-Do List
If you consistently have a to-do list longer than you can handle, then perhaps you need to look more critically and what you're putting on it. Here are four reasons you should limit your to-do list and why! Know of more? Let me know in the comments!
Photo by Suzy Hazelwood on Pexels.com It’s Monday afternoon, and you realize you’ve barely accomplished anything on your to-do list. What happened and why? Well, if you’re like most normal people out there, you don’t actually get to tackle most of the things on your list. You opened your inbox to a flood of emails all demanding your attention, or you were going through your day just to find…

5 Mental Health Resources for People of Color & LGBTQIA+ Communities
BY: Sierra Kennedy
In the wake of the recent election results, many of us grapple with a rollercoaster of emotions. Whether it’s anxiety, relief, fear, or something in between, these feelings are valid and impactful, especially for communities of color, the LGBTQIA+ population, and our allies. In times like these, taking care of our mental health becomes important and essential.
According to The Trevor Project, “the overwhelming majority (90%) of LGBTQ+ young people said their well-being was negatively impacted due to recent politics.”
Fortunately, numerous mental health resources are available to help you navigate these challenging times. The right support network can provide both relief and a sense of community.
Let’s explore some mental health resources tailored to your needs during this emotionally turbulent period.
1. The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project, which caters to LGBTQIA+ young adults, reported a 200% increase in election-adjacent search terms like “rights” and “election” in the days leading up to the final night of the presidential race. The organization, which offers free, confidential support through chat or over the phone 24/7, is also there for you post-election as well.
2. Therapy for Black Girls
This resource is essential for Black women and girls seeking professional mental health care. Therapy for Black Girls provides a directory of culturally competent therapists, blog content, and a supportive community.
3. Trans Lifeline
This peer support service is specifically designed for transgender people of all ages. It offers an essential lifeline staffed entirely by trans individuals and can provide supportive resources and assistance in moments of crisis.
4. Latinx Therapy
Created to destigmatize mental health within the Latinx community, this platform provides bilingual therapists, workshops, and a supportive podcast addressing various wellness topics.
5. National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network (NQTTCN)
This network advances healing justice and provides mental health resources specifically geared towards queer and transgender people of color. They help connect you with a directory of experienced and culturally competent therapists.
As if the winter blues weren’t enough, the personal stakes and societal implications surrounding the election’s outcome hit hard for many. Navigating these emotional waters can be challenging, but there are ways to regain focus and recenter. Here are a few ways to destress that you can start implementing today:
Mental health check-ins: Engaging in virtual or in-person discussions with friends or support groups can help process feelings in a shared environment.
Mindfulness practices: Activities like meditation or yoga can offer calming techniques to manage stress and anxiety effectively. Make mindfulness a daily habit for an overall improvement in mood.
Therapeutic writing: Journaling can be a powerful outlet to articulate and reflect on your emotions.
Build a self-care routine: Incorporate activities that promote wellness and calm into your daily life, such as nature walks, reading a new book, or a fitness class.
Remember, taking care of your mental and reaching out for support is a step toward healing. Connecting with the right resources can make a significant difference, offering comfort, stability, and a well-needed community.
How are you taking care of yourself during this troubling time? Let’s chat and pour into one another below.

HQ Characters Most Likely to Date a Mortician
(Coming from a mortician)
A/N I know this is so niche and specific and nobody cares but I need this for my own mental health 😭😭also will probably do a pt. 2 because there’s a couple other characters I want to do
Sugawara Koushi
✨I don’t know why but he just seems like the type of person to have a funky taste in people (in a good way.
✨I think he would specifically date people he found to be exciting and interesting and when he found out about your job, he thought it was fascinating.
✨Sugawara also cares heavily about people as a whole. He’s a teacher, so obviously he has a lot of empathy. I think he appreciates the fact that your job requires a lot of empathy and care
✨initially, he probably thought it was a cool and creepy job but as he got to know you, he realized that the job takes a lot more skill than he initially thought. He appreciates the artistry that comes with it as well as the charisma required to do a good job.
✨This man literally tells EVERYONE about your job. He doesn’t care that people think it’s weird. He literally thinks it’s the coolest thing in the world.
Kageyama Tobio
✨This one actually took quite a bit of thinking for me but I think that after his grandpa died, he had a lot of respect for people in the funeral industry.
✨As someone who also went to funerals of family members growing up, it makes you a lot more open to the idea of death. I think he probably has a lot of questions but he’s willing to listen to the answers.
✨Probably felt weird about it at first? Possibly wasn’t as open with his friends about your job until later on when he understood it a bit more.
✨Probably also has virtually 0 idea of what you actually do at work. He appreciates it and knows it’s an important job but most likely doesn’t want too many details (which is fair and normal)
Kozume Kenma
✨This one might literally just be me holding on hope but I feel like he’d be fine with it?
✨Like to him, it’s literally just a job. When you told him, he probably just kind of said “okay?” And moved on. Wasn’t a big deal and he was confused as to why you thought he would be weird about it
✨Definitely wants to stream mortuary assistant with you so you can judge how accurate the game is to the actual job. Values your input quite a bit.
✨when he sees videos on TikTok about morticians, he always sends them to you even if you have no idea why he sent them. He just thinks you’ll like them even if he doesn’t understand 😭
Suna Rintarou
✨he gives me the vibe of someone who initially just liked your job for shock factor and then gradually realized there was a lot more to it than just that.
✨He finds it extremely interesting and asks questions often.
✨He reminds me of the type of person that used to spend his time smoking at cemeteries to be edgy and you had to tell him it was disrespectful 😭😭he thought you were overreacting at first but realized the reasoning behind it
✨I don’t pin him as the most empathetic person in the world? He appreciates your empathy for people but to him, it’s just a job.
✨Probably not great at comforting you after tough days (SORRY 🫨🫨). Probably just encourages you not to think about it too hard which sometimes does do the trick.
✨Although he’s fine with your job and thinks it’s really cool, I get the vibe that he would not step FOOT in your place of work. For some reason he’s superstitious about it? When he drops you off for work, he drops you off at the corner and drives away as fast as humanly possible but will literally never admit it.

I know I was just basically on hiatus due to RL stuff, but my full return might have been a little premature. The ol' mental health is still a bit shaky after putting Ares to sleep, and I don't think the current climate of my main fandom here is very good for me right now.
I think I have two posts scheduled this week, but I'm not gonna bother with a queue otherwise. I do get email notifications for asks, so if anyone needs any immediate assistance in the CP77 virtual photography community, you can still reach me that way.
Catch y'all next week! ✌️

This is an email sent out by the University of Saskatchewan to its students today (May 16):
USask recognizes and appreciates the deeply painful environment that exists for those affected by the conflict in Israel and Gaza, and the tragic loss of life that has ensued. We are committed to supporting all students, staff, and faculty during these challenging times, as well as all members of the USask community who are being negatively affected by the current conflict.
Our priority is first and foremost the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. We also want to curtail the disruption of academic activities, research and other vital campus undertakings.
We are aware of an upcoming demonstration planned to take place this week on our campus. We have worked with organizers to ensure it is a safe and peaceful event and that our bylaws are understood and followed, just as we have done with previous demonstration organizers throughout the year.
USask fully supports freedom of expression and academic freedom and will continue to allow demonstrations, as we have through our history and since the conflict in Israel/Gaza began. Policies, bylaws and laws must be followed.
We will work with groups wishing to demonstrate through discussions with leaders, as well as our event/space booking processes.
Please share these supports for students, faculty and staff who may need them.
Students
Student Affairs and Outreach has a team of social workers who can provide immediate support. You can speak with a member of the team by calling 306-966-5757 or emailing [email protected] and requesting to speak with an outreach co-ordinator.
The Student Wellness Centre is an interdisciplinary healthcare team that includes experienced counsellors, physicians and nurses. Some same-day appointments are available for urgent care. To access support, call 306-966-5768.
Faculty and staff
Telus Health App is USask’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provider, and offers a wide range of services including free and confidential counseling, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
MindBeacon offers virtual mental health support.
For eligible employees, your benefit plan covers mental health supports including clinical counsellors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers.

Re: anon being bullied at work. I know that it’s illegal, but i’d add recording these encounters on top of rumour’s excellent advice. If you have your phone with you, just hit the record button every time you are with these bullies. It’ll help you remember what you need for the documentations. And if they cross over into illegality, you might be able to capture it. It’s a hard situation that you are in, and i feel for you, but please don’t let them win. I say that as a black woman who sees all this BS and feel sorry for my white friends being subjected to this BS. Please know that there are black people like me. Not all of us subscribe to this nonsense. It demeans us. It demeans everyone.
*************
Yes, recording is a great option but please be careful about it. Definitely learn what your state’s consent law is (e.g. are you in a two-party state or are you in a one-party state) to protect yourself as well.
And really, don’t forget about HR. Yes, HR/Human Resources is there to protect the company and not the individual employee, but you’re in a situation where the company is being exposed and could be held liable for what these women are doing. That makes what you’re dealing with an HR problem so if your HR people are smart, they will see that.
Some more suggestions from another anon who wanted to stay private:
* If you can have your meetings with them virtually, try to do so and any time you’re in a virtual meeting, request it to be recorded. Sometimes when people like your bullies know they’re being recorded and monitored, they may behave.
* Consult your EAP (Employee Assistance Program) about what benefits you may have for mental health support.
* Consider getting your own lawyer. Hopefully your boss/leadership team/HR is wonderful enough that you won’t need to take it to a lawyer, but having a lawyer (even if it’s just a legal aid clerk from a law school’s clinic) in your back pocket can bring an immense sense of security because you know you have a backup plan if the company won’t help.

New trends in tourism From sources across the web
#cometovacations
Emerging Travel Trends Shaping the Industry: From Wellness to AI-Powered Planning
The travel industry is changing at a pace that cannot be paralleled. With new trends in technology, consumer preferences, and much more emphasis being placed on sustainability, its rather fast-paced change is unstoppable. What's emerging as far as diversified personal traveling habits go, are trends that are shaping the future of tourism. In this blog, we’ll dive into some of the most prominent trends in the travel industry today, with a particular focus on developments in India, where the travel landscape is experiencing rapid growth and transformation.
1. Wellness Travel: A Holistic Escape
As modern life becomes increasingly stressful, wellness travel has emerged as a powerful antidote. This trend emphasizes physical, mental, and emotional well-being, where many travelers are entering the arena of health spas, yoga retreats, meditation centers, and other restorative experiences. Wellness tourism is booming around the world, and since India possesses a strong heritage of yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic healing practices, it has become one of the preferred destinations for seekers of wellness. From a luxurious Himalayan retreat to a coastal Ayurveda resort, wellness travel is designed to refresh and recharge amid frenetic global living.
Experiential Travel: Cultural Connection Deepening
Experiential tourism is more than visiting a new destination; it's about recalling memories and experiencing true cultural expressions. India's booming middle class, with the growing use of digital tools in discovering new destinations as well as experiences, is also fueling this trend. Other than conventional sightseeing, travelers now want to delve into local traditions, try various types of cuisines, learn crafts, and engage in meaningful interactions with communities.
3. Eco-Tourism: Protecting the Planet While Traveling
Eco-tourism has long been a buzzword, but it’s now a necessity for sustainable travel. Travelers are becoming more conscious of their environmental impact, and India, with its rich biodiversity and natural landscapes, is increasingly catering to eco-conscious tourists. Eco-tourism promotes responsible travel that conserves the environment, supports local communities, and educates travelers about conservation.
4. Offbeat Destinations: Discover Hidden Gems
India is home to thousands of offbeat destinations that are relatively unexplored by mass tourism. From quiet villages in the Northeast to secluded coastal towns and untouched mountain ranges, offbeat destinations give travelers opportunities to spend their time largely away from tourists and experience something unusual. These offbeat locations are becoming increasingly popular as travelers are looking to acquire more personal and authentic experiences.
5. Religious Tourism: The Pillar of Indian Travel
India is a country of profound religious roots and is a highly dominant segment of the travel industry. Millions of pilgrims visit sacred sites such as Varanasi, Amritsar, and Tirupati every year. Beyond the pilgrimage, India's spiritual offerings attract a global audience in search of a connection with their faith or exploration of ancient traditions and rituals.
6. AI in Travel Planning: A Smart Approach to Itineraries
Artificial Intelligence will revolutionize how we plan and book travel. AI-based platforms today can give you personalized recommendations, suggest itineraries that are automatically curated for you, and even give you virtual assistance to answer any of your questions or provide real-time answers. Here is why it is becoming one trend in Indian travel: AI recommends based on your past travel behavior and preferences.
Automation in booking and planning saves time and enhances convenience.
AI-based customer service tools (like chatbots) offer 24/7 support, making travel planning smoother.
7. Sleep Tourism: Prioritizing Restful Stays
A relatively new trend in India and globally is sleep tourism – a travel niche focused on enhancing the quality of sleep during a trip. Hotels and resorts now provide services such as customized pillows, soundproof rooms, and special sleep therapy treatments to cater to travelers interested in prioritizing rest in their stay. The fad of traveling for sleep is particularly sought after by those who have just traveled and wish to shake off jet lag or those who lead particularly stressful lives.
8. Hotel Robots and Chatbots: The Future of Hospitality
More and more, technology has become the spark for the travel and hospitality industry, with robots and chatbots appearing increasingly in hotels and airports around the globe. Robots are used for room service or acting as a concierge or cleaner, helping hotels lower the costs of operations while also improving the experience of guests. Chatbots have been launched for customer service in travel, enabling passengers to make bookings, ask questions, and solve problems at their convenience.
9. Facial Recognition Technology: Fastest, Safest
Facial recognition technology is being deployed by major airlines and airports to streamline airport security and boarding processes to provide smoother, faster, and more secure travel experiences. Although there has been considerable debate over its invasive implications on passenger privacy, the technology has proven highly effective in accelerating the oftentimes tedious experience of an airport process.
10. Immersive Experiences: Bringing Destinations to Life
Revolutionary examples of immersive technologies for travelers include virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), which are changing the way people relate to destinations. Virtual tours of historical sites or 360-degree views of hotels are now allowing travelers to pre-live destinations before even booking a trip. Many travel businesses are making these technologies interact to spark imagination and connect the traveler emotionally to the destination.
#cometovacations
---
The Future of Travel is Dynamic and Diverse
The travel industry is currently in the middle of a transformative process. Wellness travel, eco-tourism, and uses of AI and robotics are changing the ways we travel today and will continue to shape those ways in the years to come. More personalized, immersive, and sustainable travel experiences mean a future in tourism more diverse and richer than it has ever been. Whether it's relaxation, adventure, or connection, the travel industry has options for every person.
As these trends continue to unfold, it will be interesting to see how technology, culture, and environmental consciousness shape travel. These are exciting times indeed for both industry players and intrepid travelers looking to discover their worlds with new eyes!
It is, therefore, a great time to consider any of these trends on your next holiday. Keep an eye on this developing theme and think about how you might incorporate them into your travel plans. Happy travels! ????✈️

Productive ways to spend your new year's break
The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes the much-anticipated New Year's break. While it's tempting to spend these days lounging on the couch, binge-watching TV shows, and indulging in festive treats, there are plenty of ways to make your New Year's holidays both enjoyable and productive. Here are some tips on how to spend your New Year's break with purpose:
Set goals for the new year
Use this time to reflect on the past year and set achievable goals for the upcoming one. Whether they are related to personal development, career aspirations, or health and fitness, establishing clear objectives can give you a sense of direction and motivation for the year ahead.
Learn something new
Take advantage of the break to acquire a new skill or enhance existing ones. Online courses and tutorials are readily available on platforms like Coursera, Udemy, and Khan Academy. Whether it's a new language, coding, or cooking, investing time in learning something new can be both rewarding and intellectually stimulating.
Volunteer and give back
Spread the holiday spirit by giving back to your community. Look for local volunteer opportunities, whether it's helping at a food bank, participating in a charity event, or assisting at a local shelter. Volunteering not only benefits others but also brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose to your own life.
Exercise and stay active
Maintain your well-being by incorporating physical activity into your daily routine. Whether it's a home workout, a jog in the park, or joining a fitness class, staying active during the holidays can help combat the indulgences of festive meals and desserts.
Connect with loved ones
The holiday season is an excellent time to strengthen bonds with family and friends. Plan virtual gatherings or small get-togethers, share stories, and create lasting memories. Building and nurturing relationships contribute significantly to overall well-being.
Organize and declutter
Use the downtime to declutter and organize your living space. Whether it's your closet, kitchen, or workspace, a tidy environment can positively impact your mental well-being. Donate items you no longer need, and start the new year with a clean slate.
Read and expand your mind
Pick up a book you've been meaning to read or explore new genres and authors. Reading is not only a great form of entertainment but also an excellent way to expand your knowledge and perspective.
Plan for relaxation
While productivity is essential, don't forget to allocate time for relaxation. Whether it's a spa day at home, a nature walk, or simply enjoying a good movie, taking moments to unwind is crucial for maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The New Year's break is a valuable opportunity to recharge, reflect, and set the tone for the year ahead. By combining productivity with enjoyment, you can make the most of your holiday season, fostering personal growth and creating lasting memories. So, this year, consider blending festive cheer with purposeful activities to make your New Year's break truly fulfilling.

7th of March 🙈
Same day. Activity. Nothing. Had a couple of rants from my manager because of work. I missed to inform my EA and had a lot of “owning your mistake” thoughts lately.
Agh. I can’t wait for the weekend to spend more time in slouching, watching tv, and eating ice cream over netflix 🙈
