February 15, 2024 — We, the undersigned, strongly condemn the Government of Alberta’s planned changes to gender-affirming care, education, and sports in the province. These changes amount to an attack on trans people, and in particular trans youth. On January 31, 2024, the Premier of Alberta announced sweeping policy changes that will disproportionately impact trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse youth. The changes include restricting and/or blocking access to gender-affirming care for minors, requiring parental opt-in for sex education related to gender identity and expression, and requiring parental consent for name and pronoun changes at school. As feminist and gender equality organizations, we recognize that feminism is deeply interconnected with trans liberation — supporting the rights of trans, non-binary, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse people is essential to protecting ALL women from violence and discrimination.

Sixteen | Doubt
Chapter Song: Us (Acoustic) - James Bay
≫ Everly - Monday, February 1, 2016 ≪
It was blistering cold out, but it was welcomed this morning. There was something about the cold air that brought along a certain kind of clarity to my thinking. It was early still, the sun wasn't to come up for another hour and a half. I have never been, am not, and will never be a morning person. I love sleep more than anything or anyone on this earth, Sidney included. But since my injury, a full night's rest has been harder and harder to come by.
The glisten of the holiday season has long been faded, my family has returned to work from their holiday breaks, and Sidney was knee-deep in the playoff run, leaving little time for himself, let alone me. I was left to my own devices and there were next to none to be left to. I had read every book that both Sidney and I had in our possession, watched what felt like all of the makeup tutorials on Youtube, and even attempted to remake some of Julia Child's classic recipes. Not being able to skate was driving me to the brink of insanity and boredom.
Behind me, I could hear the back door creak open and then quickly shut. I listened as Sidney's sleepy body shuffled across his back yard over to where I was sitting with my back to him. He leaned over the back of the pool lounge I had wandered over to this morning and pressed a warm kiss to the side of my face.
He shoved a warm mug into my chilled hands before sitting down into the chair next to me. He sighed, took a sip from his mug, and then closed his eyes as he settled himself into the metal chair.
For a long time, we were quiet, the only sounds being of the cold wind blowing around us and the pool cover in front of us rustling in the wind.
"Why are you awake?" I asked quietly, causing him to open his eyes and look at me.
He sighed. "I rolled over and you weren't there," I turned back to watching the trees swaying in front of me.
We sat quietly for another bout, in fact, we were quiet for so long that I was nearly halfway done with my coffee by the time Sidney broke the silence. "So, are you ready to fess up?"
"To what?" I asked, playing dumb with him.
He scoffed. "Don't play coy with me, Everly Grace," Clearly, Sidney is not a morning person either. "I know when something is bothering you. You're tossing and turning all night, you've been up before 6 pretty much every morning since your injury, you're not eating normally, and you've been in a mood since I've been back from my road trip." I exhaled heavily. "I'm worried about you. Did I-" He sighed. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked, his voice soft.
"No! Sid, no! I-I'm fine."
He laughed sadly, shaking his head at me. "You didn't even believe that yourself. Now, what is bothering you?"
I sighed. "Sid, not being able to skate has driven me to the brink of insanity."
"Oh, honey,"
"I have been skating since I was three, Sidney. I know nothing but figure skating. I have never, until this past year, not been able to skate whenever I wanted. Two injuries within a year is a lot to deal with, mentally and physically." I sighed. "Maybe it's too much?"
Sidney was quiet for a minute, letting the realization of what I had just said set in. It was a lot to take in and if he had said the same to me, I would have been just as stunned. Even I was shocked. Sure, I had been tossing the idea of quitting skating around in my head for weeks now, but saying it out loud made it feel like a plausible idea. "How long have you been thinking about this?" He asked incredulously.
"Since Christmas," I confessed. "Is my body going to let me do this anymore, Sid? I mean for God's sake, I've had two knee injuries in a year! A year! I'm falling apart at the seams!" I paused, briefly. "But how could I quit? I have nothing better to do. I have absolutely no backup plan. I bet my whole life on a career that could be over in the blink of an eye." I looked over at him. "Did I mess up, Sidney?"
Sidney shook his head. "You didn't mess up, you followed your dream and have made an amazing career out of it. An amazing career. You still have so much to do, I know it in my gut."
I half smiled at him. "I don't know, bubba."
Sidney stood up, practically unfolding himself from the pool chair, he reached a hand out to me, pulling me up from the chair. "C'mon, let's go in. It's freezing out here." I followed him across the backyard.
"I thought you were Canadian?" I asked, teasing him.
He faked a soft laugh, clearly not amused with my chirp. "Why did you sound like that one vine?" I tossed my head back in true laughter. I was sure that if it wasn't for my obsession with vine references, Sidney would have no idea what a vine even is. "I thought you were American?" He mocked.
Once inside, Sidney made a beeline for the coffee pot, desperately needing a warm-up for his mug. I found a comfy spot in the window seat of the breakfast nook. He refilled his mug before making his way over to me, sliding in behind me, pressing his back to the wall. I settled comfortably in between his thick legs and dropped my head back against his chest.
"Oh, my love," I sighed. "I don't know what to do. Tell me what to do, Sid."
"No," He said, confidently. I tilted my head up to look at him, confused.
"No?"
"No, I'm never going to tell you what to do with your life, Ev." I smiled softly at him, before returning my eyes to the window which now painted a portrait of the sun rising over the trees in Sidney's backyard. "I can, however, offer some advice, if you'd like."
"Okay, shoot, Crosby,"
"I've been doing some reading since I don't know anything about figure skating," I grinned. Sidney is, by a mile, the sweetest, most caring man I had ever met. It only made sense to me that he would research and learn more about the sport that made me the person I am today. "The first qualification event for PyeongChang is the 2017 World Championships, so you're technically in the position right now to be able to take an entire year off from skating. And, for what it's worth, I think you should. Give yourself the time to heal up both psychically and mentally. "
"Yeah, I mean, I agree with you," I began slowly. "But, I don't know what I would do with myself for a year, Sid."
"Well," He began hesitantly. "I don't know if you would be interested, and I don't want you to think this is a handout, because it's not. You just-" He sighed, clearly struggling to find the right words. I turned around to face him now. "You just know me so well, and we have the same passions and work ethic and I can't think of anyone else I would want to do it."
"Okay, what is it?" I asked, now a little on edge because I was completely unsure of where he was about to take this conversation.
"I have a spot open on the foundation board."
I gasped. The foundation was Sidney's pride and joy. Even while in the middle of trying to clinch a playoff berth, he was still heavily involved in the planning of his upcoming hockey school and charity events in both Nova Scotia and Pittsburgh.
"Sid, are you sure?"
"I'm 100 percent sure, I just want to make sure that this is something you want to be involved in too."
I nodded eagerly. "Oh! I would love to,"
"Yeah? Thank God! When can you start?"
I laughed, before launching myself into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his lips to mine.

everlygcassius: In December I sprained my ACL and as many of you have probably noticed, I have been off of the ice since. Tomorrow, I will be cleared to make my return to the ice. However, I have decided that two injuries in a year have been too much for my knee, my heart, and my mental health. I will be taking a step back from skating until 2017. I am looking forward to healing myself and returning to the international stage as a powerhouse in Helsinki for the World Championships!
≫ Everly - Sunday, February 7, 2016 ≪
For once, since my injury, Sidney was awake long before I was. In the past week, I had been able to calm down tremendously, thus allowing me to sleep in longer than the sun. I had officially accepted the position with Sidney's foundation and had informed my agent, Eva, family, and the rest of the world that I would be taking a break from skating. Most everyone was supportive, except for a few rude trolls here and there. However, I was happy and that was all that mattered to me.
I was missing skating already. But, I'm so looking forward to getting to know myself outside of the world of figure skating. I'm looking forward to finding something I was passionate about, something I enjoyed doing. I'm looking forward to having a short, busy summer with Sidney, who had recently collected his 900th point and a playoff berth in one fell swoop. I'm looking forward to working closely with Trina and the other foundation board members. I'm looking forward to so many things and amazingly, none of them pertained to skating, making me feel oddly at ease.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty," I perked up, seeing Sidney sliding himself between his bedroom door and the door frame. "Want to come down? I'm making breakfast, I thought we could have an 'us' day since we haven't had a lot of time together recently."
He was right. He had been traveling just about every other game recently and was typically only home late at night or early in the morning, all but forcing me to stay at his house if I wanted to spend more than 15 minutes with him. "Yeah, are pants required?"
Sidney titled his head in thought. Suddenly, he stepped into his bedroom, where I was still buried away underneath his heavy blankets, and dropped his sweatpants on the floor, leaving him clad only in his boxer briefs. "No,"
"Good," I proclaimed, standing up on his bed now, showing him that I only had on one of his t-shirts and a pair of black lacy boyshorts.
He cackled, before coming over to my side and lending a hand up to help me down from the bed. I placed my feet on the cream carpet and began to reach for my cell phone on the charger. Sidney swatted at my hand, making me eye him curiously.
"No cell phones," He pointed over to his nightstand where his phone was still plugged in and resting on the wood.
"Okay, yeah, I like that."
It was late. Neither Sidney nor I had bothered to replace our pants, check our phones, or brush our teeth for the entire day. We had eaten our weight in junk food, had a dance party, taken two naps each, switching between little spoon to big spoon, and watched countless Disney movies. The day was both greatly needed and appreciated by us.
Sidney held onto me tightly, keeping me from rolling off the side of the couch. Our legs were tangled together, probably as equally as hairy. His face was pressed into my hair, allowing his vanilla ice cream scented breath to fan over my neck. My face was tucked into the crook of his strong arm, serving as a surprisingly comfortable pillow.
"Ev," He whispered. "Are you awake?"
"Yes," I responded giggling.
"You know I'm proud of you, right?" I froze, not knowing how to respond. "I would give anything for you not to be having to go through this right now, but I'm so proud of how you're handling yourself with grace and looking at the situation optimistically. You make me want to be a better athlete and person." He paused to let out a long yawn. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life admiring the hell out of you, Everly Grace."

It’s nearly Bell Let’s Talk Day. You know, the one day of the year when social media is flooded with messages urging us to talk about mental health and to feel good about doing it.
But as the father of a young adult who has experienced mental illness, campaigns like this make me want to scream.
Canada has no shortage of mental-health advocacy and awareness groups. In my province, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia holds an annual gala fundraiser, complete with local celebrities and politicians. The organization’s key platitude: “#changingthewaypeoplethink.”
And in late November, the Canadian Mental Health Association published a blog post encouraging readers to “keep your mental health top of mind” by putting together a “workplace wellness box including things that help reduce stress and put an accent on feeling well.” What kinds of things? Oh, you know: colouring books, essential oils, fidget spinners, tea. Leading mental-health expert Stan Kutcher, who has since been appointed to the Senate, tweeted in response: "You got to be kidding. Right?... Please tell us that this is not what our mental-health advocacy has become.”

So,
Loving Paisley always felt dangerous.
She was a rich Calgary girl way out of my league, a thoughtful and compassionate little Bambi-eyed human who I longed to protect. I loved introducing her to people, driving her places, and taking her picture. For the first time in my life I had someone who was mine. I was fiercely loyal to her, sometimes to an unhealthy degree, and our temperaments were linked, which meant if she was suffering then so was I. By the time we got to Nelson we were so accustomed to our volatile, high-stress episodes that we’d learned how to ride them out, shake them off, pretend they’d never happened.
We shared a dream of being together, but it was getting harder to ignore the bouquet of red flags we’d collected over the three years of our relationship. We were a family now, though, with Muppet and Buster, and who wanted to break that up? And what about Cora, our dreamed-about daughter? Wasn’t she worth weathering a few fights for? Paisley had been in and out of the hospital, but she was still proactively planning a way to pull us out of this rut. Eventually she came up with the idea of CrossFit.
“You spent all those years as a competitive swimmer and you haven’t done anything since,” she said.
“This could be something you could throw yourself into. Like look at your shoulders, you’re meant to be a weightlifter. It’s a class, so a bunch of people all working out together, with music and everything. It would be so good for your mental health, bear.”
“That seems boring to me, just lifting weights over your head over and over.”
“There’s more stuff than that. You do pushups and jump on boxes and there’s chin-ups and all kinds of stuff. It’s a full-body work-out, see? Come look at this. We could both get totally ripped.”
“How much does it cost?”
“Less than we spend on weed. And there’s a couple’s special, too.”
Paisley had personally transformed me over the years. Most of my clothes had been hand-selected by her, she controlled my diet, she’d chosen my cologne. When we first met I had a close-shaved beard with a tight line at my jaw, and she encouraged me to grow it out “Gandalf-style”. She took me for runs, or kicked me out of the house to run on my own, and made sure to give me a handful of vitamins every night before bed. She fed me delicious vegan meals, and prepared lunches and snacks for work. I loved how she took care of me, even if everything else seemed to be fights and screaming.
The most important thing was that she took me seriously as a writer, and believed that I would succeed one day. She was invested in my novel, intimately involved in all my decision-making, and would routinely encourage me to pivot away from the TV to get writing. Sometimes she would read passages and then give me spot-on notes. She had a sharp eye for detail, a cynical intellect and a twisted sense of humour. We spoke to each other in ridiculous baby voices, making up words like shabona and badoyna.
“I don’t think my antidepressants are working. I don’t feel any sort of difference and every single morning I feel like it’s this Herculean task to even get out of bed. Maybe I need to switch brands,” I said.
“Or maybe your dose isn’t high enough. My doctor doubled my dose six months ago,” Paisley said, rolling over in bed to put her hand to my face. “Tell him how you’re feeling, and see what he says.”
“I don’t think I can take this anymore.”
“I’ll make you an appointment, okay?”
“Okay. Yeah.”
“You have to remember it’s all connected: diet, exercise, mental health. If we want to get legit healthy we need to do all of them together. And I still think you should go full vegan.”
“I can’t do it, I can’t. You know I’d love to.”
She sighed, disappointed like always.
One thing we relished was our weekend sojourns, the days we would load the dogs into the RAV and take off with the canoe strapped to the roof. We’d hiked together in the Yukon, in Portland, in Nova Scotia and on Vancouver Island, but the Kootenay wilderness had a special magic all its own. History seemed to come alive before your eyes when you’d wander around some new corner and find a hulk of ancient mining equipment, or the foundation of some long-forgotten settlers’ cabin. Out in the Slocan Valley, right off the highway in Winlaw, there was a bunch of derelict infrastructure sinking into the woods. Paisley and I spent a Sunday afternoon taking pictures and smoking joints there, listening to the Slocan River swish by through the trees.
“Will, look at this. We gotta get some pictures of this graffiti over here, come look!” she yelled, while I struggled up the hill twenty feet behind her. At the top of the rise was a towering mural of two giraffes, their necks curving towards each other so they can kiss, with a bright red heart hovering between them. The colours were ultra-vivid, creating a stark contrast with the earthy tones of its surroundings. I would later learn it was the work of local muralist Matty Kakes. Muppet and Buster had tangled their leashes, so we both leaned down to help extricate them, pleasantly stoned.
“Those giraffes?” Paisley said. “That’s us.”
A week later I arrived at my appointment. I’d recently found a new doctor, a kind-faced Thai woman a foot shorter than me. She breezed into the room, sat down at her workstation and set a clipboard in front of her while she half-sung her greeting. We bantered back and forth for a few moments before she asked me why I was there.
She raised her eyebrows and held her pen ready.
“Well, there’s just been some really intense stories at the Star lately and I’ve sort of been having this conflict with my boss, right? And lately I’m feeling just overwhelmed and depressed, like I’m barely holding shit together. I was hoping the antidepressants would help, but they don’t really.”
“You’re on citalopram?”
“Yeah, I’ve been on it for almost a year now.”
She asked me about side effects, asked whether I was taking the pills consistently. Was I drinking? How about smoking pot? I told her I drank a little bit, like maybe some whiskey on week nights and beer on the weekends. As for pot, I lied and told her I only smoked a joint or two a day, radically under-selling my actual intake. She told me it might be that the cannabis was interfering with the drug’s effectiveness. Would I consider cutting back? I nodded good-naturedly, all the while knowing there was no way I could. Not while Paisley and I were in this particular morass.
“She went for it,” I told Paisley, as we left the doctor’s office. “She doubled my dose.”
“Oh, good.”
“And that CrossFit thing, babe? I’m in.”
She jumped up and down, kissed me, ran her fingers through my hair. We were across the street from Nelson City Hall, with late afternoon traffic humming past, and we hung in each other’s arms trying to believe in the future. Back in Dawson City we’d once passionately made out in the middle of the street at like 2 a.m., her legs wrapped around my waist while cars motored past on either side. Could we get there again? We were still that couple somewhere deep inside us, we just needed to dredge that feeling back out again. Being in love with her made me feel sick to my stomach, even a little dizzy. It was the same feeling I experienced the first time I went sky-diving, the moment my body lurched out of the plane and began to free fall. With her lips to my ear, she whispered her next words.
“I think we should get married.”

Paradise?
This Piece was created Using pen and watercolor. Some pills are big and some are small to create the illusion of depth. The hand has some dark and light areas to create some shape and or 3D illusion. The background was intentionally left blank not to take away from the subject. It also gives it a sort of cold feeling and related to the title of the song ‘’Come White’ ’In this piece you can see a hand reaching out to catch some pills. Pills appear to be raining down from all around. The pills all sorts of colors and shapes, some capsules, some tablets. One of the tablets is violet and has the playboy logo to open dialogue about street drugs versus pharmaceutical drugs. On the hand itself you can see the word paradise and right blow some lyrics from the song ‘’Coma white’’ by Marilyn Manson. The lyrics read: A pill to make you numb, A pill to make you dumb A pill to make you anybody else. The word paradise emphasizes the feeling you get indulging in whatever your addiction may be. The lack of pills in the hand creates sort of a desperate feeling. As if someone was impatiently longing for the escape they so desperately seek, Like an itch you cannot scratch. The itch is spreading and now becomes all you can think about. You start feeling like you can’t settle or get comfortable. It consumes your mind and takes over. That feeling can be found in a child wanting desert or a heroin addict looking for his next shot. It also Signifies the fact that addicts seek an escape to reality which could be perceived as a ‘’Paradise’’. Even if they don’t perceive it as an escape the blissful moment forces you to feel the present moment rather than stress about the past or future. The Lyrics also suggest that the user could be in pain and seeks an escape from the pain he or she is experiencing. Whether it is Drugs, Sugar, Caffeine, Technology, or sex. I believe everyone is affected by addiction in some way. Some addictions are more common and or accepted than others. The word addiction suggests that the user does not think he could live without said thing. Addiction is like a virus in some cases. Pushing you to do things you would never otherwise do in order to obtain what you seek no matter the cost. It could be stealing money from someone you love and risking that relationship with them in order to get your moment of paradise. Addiction can and has ruined many lives. It is not the drugs who make an addict but the need to escape reality. Addictions are complicated and can affect anyone at any time. The hand in the drawing was modeled after my own. I Myself have had my struggles with addiction and the struggle has shaped me into the person I am now. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. Best Stripe Payments To Datev Transfer
In macroeconomics and account, a transfer payment (additionally called an administration transfer or basically transfer) is a rearrangement of pay and abundance by methods for the public authority making a payment, without products or administrations being gotten in kind. These payments are viewed as non-comprehensive since they don't straightforwardly ingest assets or make output. Examples of transfer payments incorporate government assistance, monetary guide, federal retirement aide, and government endowments for specific organizations.
Not at all like the trade exchange which commonly benefits all the gatherings engaged with it, the transfer payment comprises of a contributor and a beneficiary, with the benefactor offering up something of significant worth without getting anything as a trade off. Transfers can be made both among people and elements, for example, privately owned businesses or legislative bodies. stripe datev These exchanges can be both intentional or compulsory and are for the most part inspired either by the charitableness of the contributor or the vindictiveness of the recipient.
To figure total national output (GDP), government spending does exclude transfer payments, which are the redistribution of cash starting with one gathering then onto the next instead of use on recently created products and services.
Analysis of transfer payments
An analysis of transfer payments is that they don't create results that are monetarily favorable. Governments pool charges and different wellsprings of income together and go through the cash to additional a specific plan. A portion of the spending pays for merchandise and ventures, for example, structures, gear, and government specialist compensations. These uses are trades in which cash is exchanged for something with a perceived worth. The payments might be seen as boosting modern action and business. Be that as it may, government transfer payments don't help creation or monetary action. For instance, unfamiliar guide doesn't really incite unfamiliar trade. Additionally, some contend that government assistance programs, for example, joblessness advantages and federal retirement aide, decrease motivators to take paid work.
Moreover, the macroeconomic impact of transfer payments is decreased in the lower pay nations and locales/states. The purposes behind such divergence are the following:
the degree of transfer payments is dependent upon the financial limits of the regulating substance
the size of transfer payments is by and large reliant on the past income of the recipient
biggest portion of transfer payments is normally controlled to the more seasoned age gatherings, which establish to a littlest portion of populace of the lower pay nations, districts or states
Strategies for payment
Money
In excess of 100 million destitute individuals overall get an administration transfer payment. It is assessed that 90% of major league salary countries make these payments by means of electronic transfer techniques, though over portion of the world's agricultural nations uses paper payments, for example, money or checks. Transfer payment by means of money is the most mainstream strategy for transferring advantages to recipients. Be that as it may, money transfer programs are obliged by three elements: monetary assets, institutional limit, and belief system, especially in nations in the Global South. Many governments in less fortunate nations, where money transfers might have the most noteworthy effect, are regularly reluctant to execute such projects because of fears of expansion and all the more critically, reliance on the transfers.
In-kind transfer
In-kind transfer payments comprise of individual products and ventures gave to families by administrative bodies and non-benefit foundations serving family units (NPISHs), which are either gained available or delivered as non-market yield by legislative bodies or NPISHs.
The things included are:
Federal retirement aide benefits, repayments
Other federal retirement aide benefits in kind (for example food stamps)
Social help benefits in kind
Transfers of individual non-market products or administrations
Government managed retirement advantage
Basically, government managed retirement benefits are intended to turn out revenue progression to those people who have resigned from workforce in light of one or the other powerlessness to work (actual handicap or mental injury), to discover business or because of mature age (retirement).
These incorporate, yet are not restricted to:
Joblessness remunerations
Mature age protection
Common assistance annuities
State and nearby government annuities
Survivors benefits
Supplemental Security Income
Around the world
Australia
In Australia, the flat monetary irregularity emerges due to the confuse between the assessment incomes and government costs for the different state and regional governments. This irregularity is tended to by a level monetary evening out (HFE) strategy administered by the Commonwealth Grants Commission.
Canada
In Canada, Federal-Provincial transfers as a rule allude to an arrangement of payments from the national government to the territories as a component of Canada's "monetary federalism" through unequivocal and understood redistribution. These transfers are expected to help regions with less monetary limit than others in offering practically identical public types of assistance in all locales, including wellbeing and education. Transfers incorporate express projects, for example, balance payments, Canada Health Transfer (CHT) and the Canada Social Transfer (CST) (once the Canada Health and Social Transfer) and Territorial Formula Financing. There are likewise verifiable transfers that outcome from government tax collection and spending choices and policies.
Canada's transfer payments started in the British North America Act (1867's) Sections 118 as commonplace subsidies. By 1907, these payments were adjusted as new territories joined the Dominion. In a 1957 game plan, more unfortunate regions got yearly payments: Prince Edward Island got $2.5 million and the three areas, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick each got $7.5 million. These payments finished and were folded into the 1967 evening out program planned to "empower every territory to give a satisfactory degree of public administrations without resort to paces of tax collection considerably higher than those of other provinces."
In Canada, transfers payments are antagonistic and leveling equations are regularly revised.[10] Implicit transfers through government tax assessment, for instance, are more noteworthy in higher pay regions, for example, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario and lower in areas, for example, Manitoba, Quebec, and the Atlantic regions. Canada estimates normal financial limit of every area which differs broadly. Alberta is the most noteworthy at $12,577 per individual and PEI is the least at $6,013 per individual. In 2016 government annual assessment in Alberta was more than $8,000 contrasted with under $3,000 in PEI. All regions pay a similar government charge rates.
Financial expert Trevor Tombe's composed that by 2018, transfer payments had become "complex courses of action" that are a lot bigger than the first endowments and are "all the more similarly distributed". By 2018, between commonplace reallocation has diminished to under 2% of Canada's GDP, its most reduced in 60 years. In the mid 1980s it was 3.5%.
China
Since July 2011, existing provincial and neighborhood government backed retirement plans, including pooling courses of action, are progressively being brought together under the nation's first public law on social transfer payments. The public authority intends to set up an extensive, impartial, and bound together benefits framework that covers both metropolitan and rustic inhabitants by 2020. In 2016, the public authority chose to set up a bound together medical coverage framework for both country and non-salaried metropolitan inhabitants. The public authority has likewise reported that clinical protection and maternity protection projects will be merged.
India
India has four kinds of social transfer payments – mature age and inability advantages, disorder and maternity benefits, work injury transfers, and joblessness benefits. Most wellsprings of payments are businesses (through fortunate assets), and the government.
US
The U.S. still uses paper transfer payments in its Social Security organization the same number of beneficiaries, especially those in lower-pay classes, are unbanked, for example try not to have a ledger to encourage direct stores. Nonetheless, the U.S. has had the option to execute electronic transfer frameworks in its food stamps and instruction help programs.

Hi, I wanted to share some Canadian-specific resources in support of the BLM movement. End the misconception that Canada is better than our southern neighbour, our history is plagued with the systematic oppression of the black and indigenous community and we must do better. Black Lives Matter. All cops are bastards, in Canada too.
As allies it’s essential for us to educate ourselves and support in every way we can. If you are unable to make it to a protest (and even if you have and want to further provide support) and have the means to do so, please consider supporting these Canadian black-led organizations/funds instead:

Struggling with an addiction in Canada? These resources can help
Addiction is more common than perhaps we’d like to admit: an estimated six million Canadians will meet the criteria for addiction in the course of their lifetime.
It isn’t a choice, although experts say it’s often portrayed as such, which only serves to further stigmatize those who are struggling.
“Sure, we’ll make the decision to use (the first time), but nobody decides to live that lifestyle,” Kim Hellemans, chair of the neuroscience department at Carleton University in Ottawa, told Global News last year.

To distinguish between finding it hard to say no and a substance use disorder, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) qualifies addiction with the four Cs: craving, loss of control of amount or frequency of use, compulsion to use and using despite the consequences.

CAMH offers plenty of starting points if you or someone you love is struggling with an addiction.
It has a free online tutorial, an addiction information guide and advice for how to spot and talk about a substance use disorder. It even has information for children who worry their parents are drinking too much.

'Nova Scotia has been seen as one of the leaders in COVID management': doctor
With just 11 active cases of COVID-19, Nova Scotia is doing better than many places in the world.
"Atlantic Canada, particularly Nova Scotia, has been seen as one of the leaders in COVID management,” said Dr. Todd Hatchette, NSHA Chief of Microbiology.
Last week, the province confirmed two samples sent to the National Lab in December had identified both the U.K. and South African variant. Both individuals have since recovered.
Hatchette says Nova Scotians don’t need to be concerned the variant was identified. In fact, it was expected.
"The virus is a new virus. It's crossed over from animals into humans and a virus' goal is to adapt to its new host so we expect to see viruses adapt,” he said.
Hatchette said even if the new variant is more transmissible, it still needs close contact, in close spaces.
"It's really important that people continue to do the physical distancing, making sure they wear masks, making sure they wash their hands and as importantly, keep your social bubble tight and limited,” said Hachette.
Nova Scotia has been under a state of emergency since last March. In that time, RCMP has issued 329 tickets to people failing to obey public health directives, while Halifax Regional Police have handed out 293. Just this week, HRP fined a man $1,000 for allegedly not wearing a mask inside the lobby of an apartment building.
"We really hope that the public is, and the majority are, taking these measures to heart. These are things that you know, put our public safety and our health at risk. We would hope that we wouldn't have to issue any tickets, that people would understand that,” said Cst. John MacLeod.
As the pandemic lingers on, doctors say it’s important for people to stay active for both their physical and mental health.
"It's not only going to the gym. It's not only being on a treadmill,” said Dr. Robyn MacQuarrie, president of Doctors Nova Scotia. "Moving your body improves brain function, it improves stress release and just an overall sense of well-being."
For more information about how to stay active, you can visit the Healthy Tomorrow Foundation.
