I just want to talk about the putting on the cloak in Blossom as a way that Song Mo expresses that he loves / cares about someone, we see this first in the scene where his uncle died, and we got a slow, gratuituous scene of the cloak falling over his uncle

We next see Dou Zhao put this on Song Mo after they meet up when he survives his little stint in prison - no one else family was there to pick him up (ie. his father said no) but insetad sent a carriage, which he refused, and he met up with Dou Zhao -- who is the first person there to see him after he comes out of prison, and she brings with her a cloak for him.

can we talk about how lovely it is that the fireworks lit up at this moment and the warm coloured glow is reflected on Song Mo's face, it's so warm (and the lighting continues to change as their dialogue goes on, it's quite neat)

and then we see his mother put the cloak on him before he goes to chase a lead on his uncle's case -- the cloak which she mended for him.

Song Mo is loved! (I am only up to ep 10 right now so maybe we will see more of this, I am not sure, but this was a nice touch and I wanted to write about it!)

Just started Blossom. Really enjoying it so far, and like it was the drama that I've been waiting for after seeing this scene in the trailers for it way back when!

Like I distinctively remember this scene and I think one where he wasn't on a horse in a trailer from a long time ago, but didn't remember what the drama was called. When The Double came out, I thought this was from The Double and I was waiting for that main OTP to get together and for this scene to happen for the longest time! Imagine my pleasant surprise to find that it's actually a scene from Blossom while watching the opening credit.

Looking forward to when they're that obvious and unabashed power couple. Though not yet, since I'm also enjoying their distinctiveness and individual growth so far in the first two episodes.

Although I wish they chose a different English official title bc trying to figure out what it's tagged as and then going into the tag that it's mixed with Blossom from the Powerpuff Girls really bugs my own sense of order and organization.

It’s a wuxia so it’s a long————long drama broken into two parts equaling 62 episodes (counting the bonus episodes). In my opinion it’s right up there with my favorites like Ashes of Love. Both are so satisfying as heck, and have extremely smexy chemistry between the main leads, also having a meh middle drown out later half. Depending on how you watch it and on what platform you can get different endings. Viki contains all the bonus episodes with one seemless season where on others you sort of have to look for the last to episodes that are six minutes long. Are they worth it. Yeppers.
